Senior Analyst and orthopedic surgeon Dr Omer Adil was reportedly arrested by the police. According to the details shared by anchor Gharida Farooqui, Dr Omer Adil was arrested on her legal complaint after his statement against her and other female personalities who work on various digital media platforms.
This news was shared by Gharida Farooqi on her X account. She wrote, “Dr. Omar Adil has been arrested on my legal complaint. Dr. Omar Adil hurled accusations on me and also indulged in an obscene discussion regarding me and other media personalities. I provided Dr. Omar Adil with a chance to publicly apologize through legal action, but he did not do so. I salute all law enforcement agencies who took prompt action on my complaint. I hope justice will be served and those who target women will face the consequences”
According to the reports, Dr. Omar Adil talked against female anchors in Zohaib Butt’s podcast and the host and analyst specifically mentioned Gharida Farooqi’s name and engaged in obscene conversations on the digital media platform YouTube. Gharida Farooqi claimed that the two hurled false allegations at her and other women working in the media.
Gharida Farooqi further said, “I have sent legal notices to both of them. If they do not apologize, further legal action will be taken. I also have filed a complaint against them with FIA. Many on her X account are supporting her in this regard. Read a few comments here:
