Durefishan Saleem is a stunning and talented Pakistani television actor. She rose to fame through her hit serial Kaisi Teri Khudgharzi. She appeared in a supporting role in Hum TV’s hit serial Dilruba. Durefishan soon fetched multiple main lead characters because of her beautiful looks and excellent acting. Durefishan’s other claim to fame dramas include Pardes, Bharras and Jaisay Apki Marzi. Currently, she is garnering praise for recent hit drama serial Ishq Murshid. Her character Zamda in Khaie has also become the latest talk of the town.
Well, the actress has given multiple interviews about her entry in the showbiz. Most fans believe that Durefishan has no media background but infact she was the one who was introduced by famous Pakistani actor Kashif Mehmood.
In an old interview with Hassan Chaudhary, Durefishan said, “Initially, when I came to Karachi for auditions, my father’s very dear friend Kashif Mehmood helped me in getting all the major production houses’ auditions, I gave the auditions and got back to Lahore. Well, I luckily got Dilruba in this process but actually I was supposed to do another project (with another channel) as a female lead but they refused me after which I was disheartened, then, I instantly accepted the character in Dilruba, now I am in front of you”. On another occasion, Durefishan said that she made the entry in showbiz on her own. Although her father was a producer but he didn’t help her in the process of becoming actor.
