Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi’s eight year long harassment case finally ended yesterday when court proved Ali Zafar as winner and fined Meesha Shafi. The controversy between the two started in April 2018 after Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar of harassment. The harassment allegations were strongly denied by Ali Zafar and his family and they filed a defamation case against Meesha Shafi.

Yesterday, the court announced the verdict in Ali Zafar’s defamation case against Meesha Shafi after 8 years according to which Ali Zafar was declared innocent while Meesha Shafi was fined 5 million rupees.

Iqrar ul Hassan Syed and many other celebrities came in favour of Ali Zafar, while iffat Omar is standing strong with Meesha Shafi despite the court’s decision against her.

In his X post, Iqrar ul Hassan used harsh remarks against Meesha Shafi. He wrote: “Ali Zafar has won the case filed against him by Meesha Shafi regarding allegations of sexual harassment, and the court has imposed a fine of five million rupees on Meesha Shafi. Compared to the pain and circumstances Ali Zafar went through because of this false allegation, this fine and punishment are extremely minor. In such cases, women who make false accusations should be made an example of, as they weaken the cases of women who are genuinely victims of sexual harassment. Nevertheless, Ali Zafar deserves congratulations for remaining steadfast in this matter and for taking the false accuser to her logical conclusion.”

Iffat Omer, who is already protesting against the injustice with Meesha Shafi, slammed anchorperson Iqrar ul Hassan Syed for his one-sided and insensitive statement regarding the matter.

Taking his post to her Instagram Iffat Omer wrote: He calls himself a champion of women’s rights—what a sick man. What do you mean by women like this??? Not all women are animals who blindly believe someone, like the ones on your side. You have been the most disgusting host all your life, and yes, quite an example of a “happy life”. Javeria Saud is a famous Pakistani TV host who is currently going viral for her insensitive remarks against Yumna Zaidi. In her Eid show, while asking the guests to guess Yumna Zaidi, Javeria Saud said that the picture belonged to an actor who has been working since the stone age but became a star only recently, after which the actors said she must be referring to Yumna Zaidi. This went viral on social media but Yumna Zaidi instantly denied that the picture belongs to her.

Now, Javeria Saud is in trouble after sharing a fake picture for Yumna Zaidi on Express Entertainment’s Eid special transmission. The young girl’s father, Abdul Fahid Hamid, contacted All Pakistani Drama Page and shared the details. According to him, his wife’s social media account was public, from where the picture was taken and published on Express TV without their permission.

The little girl Faryal’s father said in his statement to the media, “My daughter’s name is Faryal Hamid. Her picture was used on the show to mock and disrespect Yumna Zaidi. The host Javeria and the guest showed my daughter’s picture, which was not Yumna’s childhood photo—it was actually Faryal’s, who is my daughter. A mistaken, fake, and stolen identity was used, resulting in defamation of character. This is a serious matter. It also raises concerns regarding sensitive safeguarding, which I have brought up. Legal action will be taken from our side.”
