Ishrat Fatima is a senior PTV and Radio Pakistan newscaster who has served the media industry for nearly three decades. She became a household name across Pakistan due to her iconic 9:00 pm news bulletin on PTV. She rejoined PTV as a mentor in 2026, soon after her retirement from newscasting. Ishrat Fatima has also been successfully running her YouTube channel, where she often shares her views on important issues.
Recently, Ishrat Fatima appeared in a podcast hosted by Tauseeq Haider. In the podcast, Ishrat Fatima shared her regret regarding her late daughter.
Talking about it, Ishrat Fatima said, “It is true that I used to cry and complain to Allah about my dark complexion, but today I don’t feel proud of myself after achieving success. All I do is thank Allah for His blessings, and many of these feelings changed because of my husband, who gave me immense support. You know me, I just reach home, wash my face , apply lipstick and stay like that. You know my first daughter passed away at birth, and my first question to my sister was about her complexion and she didn’t survive, and today I regret asking that question. I seek forgiveness from my daughter whenever I visit her grave. Unfortunately, these things are inculcated in us by society.” Watch here:
