Meera is an incredible Pakistani film and television artist who has mastered the art of staying in the headlines over time. As an actress, her most popular films include Ehsaas, Khilona, Kanta, Chief Saab, Mujhe Jeene Do, Miss Istanbul, and Baaji. Besides being successful in her career, Meera is a devoted eldest sibling who loves her family and takes responsibility of her family’s material needs.
Recently, Murtaza Ali Shah interviewed Meera’s younger sister Shaista Abbas. In the interview, she talked about Meera’s sacrifices for their family.
Shaista Abbas said, “I was quite young when my father passed away. Meera was the breadwinner of our family. She is an incredibly supportive and caring person. She always helped our mom. Soon after getting independent, she shifted us to the UK for better schooling and lifestyle. I completed business, although she wanted me to come back to Pakistan and join showbiz, but I was more interested in settling in the UK. Now I have completed law; I now own a law firm here. Meera is our support system; she even bought me and my brother this house in London. We think of her like a parent; we always try to win her heart.
She further said that Meera was banned from entering the UK because she made a few spelling mistakes in her interview, after which she had to face a ban.”
A few years ago, Meera’s sister came to Pakistan for a drama serial Seep which aired on TV One.
