Zakir Qureshi was a renowned Pakistani chef who got recognition through his television appearances in Hum TV’s cooking channel Masala. Chef Zakir taught thousands of recipes to the people on his live cooking show. He was an expert on Pakistani cuisine as well as international cuisine. The chef has a huge fan following in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and other countries.

According to news shared by Chef Samia, renowned Pakistani chef Zakir Qureshi has passed away at the age of 58. He was born in 1967. Chef Zakir passed away after a prolonged battle with kidney disease.

He showed extreme arrogance, as if being a superstar gave him that right. That’s when I took the mic and expressed my anger. The crowd started hooting at us, and then he started giving lame excuses that there was no hot water and things like that. I never intended to degrade him.” She further added, “Stars cannot separate themselves from the media. It’s unfair. If fans make you a star, then why invite the media at all your important events”. Faysal Quraishi is a versatile and brilliant Pakistani television and film actor who is currently making headlines for his unique and challenging character, Zaviyar, in Hum TV’s new drama serial Raaja Rani. He is paired with Hina Afridi in the drama.

The actor recently spoke with Nadia Khan and Zohaib Hassan on their morning show, which airs on Entertainment 365. In the show, he talked about choosing Raaja Rani script over other run of the mill characters.

Talking about it, Faysal Quraishi said, “I was getting similar roles after the success of Khaie, but I didn’t want to do another serious role like that. People had high expectations from me, and I was being offered intense scripts. Babar gave me two scripts that were quite similar. Then I received Raaja Rani, which was incomplete at the time, but I insisted on doing it because it was different. The script was still being written midway, and honestly, everyone had to suffer because of my desire to work in Raaja Rani”

He further added, “I just wanted to act in a completely different drama, and this time I’m playing a man who has mentally regressed to the level of an 8 or 9-year-old child. I didn’t want to keep doing run-of-the-mill roles.”

Talking about the criticism surrounding the song sequence, Faysal Quraishi said “Hina is younger than me — I’m aware of that. I even mentioned that Hina wasn’t even born when I started acting. We know the pairing looks off, but Amin Iqbal and Babar Javed aren’t crazy for casting me opposite Hina — there’s a reason behind this casting and how it’s executed. Babar knows how to play with characters and situations. He understands public sentiment. He also said, “In the drama, Zaviyar’s character is actually ten years younger than the character Hina is playing. People will appreciate the song once they see it in context. I had several questions for the director regarding the execution, and once you watch the drama, you’ll see the answers. We’ve addressed the age difference in the storyline.”

Iqtidar is Green Entertainment’s first commercially successful project which has been written by Hina Huma Nafees. The show has been directed by Fahim Burney. It aired on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 PM. The cast featured brilliant actors including Anmol Baloch, Ali Raza, Rubina Ashraf, Hareem Sohail, Emaan Khan, Roma Michelle, Javed Sheikh, and others. The story of the drama was about a young and brave girl Mehrunnisa who got married to a young politician Shahnawaz.

Recently, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar made an appearance in RNN’s podcast hosted by Bushra Khan and Naeem Hanif. In the podcast KRQ talked about the respect he gets from India and why has he changed his stance of not working in India.

Talking about it, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar said, “After this particular incident, I want to announce that I am now ready to work with India. Previously, I had been refusing to work with India for years, but now I would personally love to work there. I am deeply hurt because the country I served with passion has not done justice to me. They have wronged me.”

Mere Pass Tum Ho writer added, “We don’t respect our heroes. There is a trend here to turn heroes into culprits. I remember that whenever I visited India, people there respected me so much—sometimes even more than one would respect their own parents. Their actors would start crying while talking to me on the phone, out of respect. But our own people don’t show that kind of respect. My Indian fans support me immensely. I am in pain after seeing the behavior of Pakistani fans toward me”

Previously, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar said that he refused to work in India because they don’t treat Pakistani writers, artists and filmmakers on the same level as Pakistanis do. Talking about it, Ghazal Siddiqui said, “There was an important occasion on which my kids requested to light firecrackers, so we arranged firecrackers and distributed them among the children. My son was very young, he took all his firecrackers from and put them in his pocket. Although I was supervising everything but someone lit a firecracker nearby, and one in his pocket caught fire. The firecrackers in his pocket started bursting one by one. I don’t know where I got the courage, but I immediately tore off his shirt and threw it away.
