In a tragic incident in Jhang, an 18-year-old girl, Eshal Fatima, died in hospital after being gang-raped. The girl went missing from the Satellite Town Police Station area on 4 June. According to her father, she was a first-year student who had gone to her college to collect her roll number slip. She was later kidnapped and gang-raped, after which she succumbed to her injuries.

Asghar Ali is an elderly man from Karachi who killed his elderly wife in a shocking incident. At 70 years old, he fought his wife who was 58 and demanded to have conjugal relations. Dr. Mahnoor is a young and competent Pakistani medical doctor who hails from Quetta, Balochistan. In an unfortunate incident yesterday, the doctor was attacked by a staff member who threw acid on her face. As a result, she suffered severe injuries, and one of her eyes was also affected.
Dr. Mahnoor was rescued on the spot by a brave technician, Abdul Razzaq Tarakai. He not only saved her from further damage but also covered her and rushed her to the hospital. Abdul Razik was also injured during the rescue.
Today, he was discharged from the hospital, and people gathered outside his home to thank him for saving the doctor’s life. Abdul Razik shared details of the incident, saying, “I thank everyone who came here to meet me. I was accidentally visiting the orthopedic ward for a while for my nose consultation, but basically my duty was in the medicine ward. While I was in the orthopedic ward, I heard screams of a woman and then saw an injured woman. Her face was badly burned, her clothes were burned, and she was drenched in blood. She had no proper clothes on, so I covered her with my own clothes. She held onto me because she was in severe pain. Due to contact with her, I also got injured because she had been severely affected by the acid. The doctors have suggested surgeries for my burns because they say the condition of my hand is quite serious. I am grateful for the love and appreciation people are showing me. Even if I had lost my life while saving her, I would not have been afraid. I am a privately enrolled second-year student and work part-time. If I get a job, I will work hard. Acid attack on Dr Mahnoor in Quetta has shook the nation. This is another case of violence against women and how a lady who was just working at her place was not safe. When she was brutally attacked, everyone stood in shock. That is when technician Abdul Razzaq Khilji stepped in.
