Haseena revealed that she is a breast cancer survivor. Back in 2005, she felt some pain in her body and on being her family’s insistence she went for the tests. She was then diagnosed with breast cancer. She said that she reacted very calmly and did not panic. She in fact asked the Dr who was her brother’s friend what was to be done then? The doctors advised her to get medication. She said that she would stay awake all night and many stories came to her mind while she was awake and she would forget them all.

She said that one of friends advised her that she should fight it and she kept that in her mind. This helped her fight the battle against the disease and she survived. Well, we must say that she’s a big inspiration.

He was a guest on Masarrat Misbah’s show and he talked about how kids are set up for failures and how societal expectations and parents accelerate this process of failure.

Haseeb said that parents keep too much expectations from their children. 90% marks and topping in academics becomes the sole criteria for excellence and as all children are not alike, these expectations set children up to feel like failures.

Pakistani music industry has a plethora of talent and we have added names like Hasan Raheem, Shae Gill and Hassan and Roshaan in the last few years making the music coming out even more vibrant and something that promotes the soft image of our country. He later on made his acting debut with Shoaib Mansoor’s Verna and he has not looked back since. His career in dramas went on a high rise after his stint in Do Bol. He has been doing a lot of scripts since and managed to gain praise for many of his characters.

Haroon was a guest on Ayaz Samoo’s show and shared his side of the story when he started acting. Doing romantic scenes is a given if you are playing a lead character and Haroon has done so with many leading ladies in his career. The singing sensation and lead vocalist of the Pop Rock band SYMT Haroon Shahid is speculated to star opposite Mahira Khan in Shoaib Mansoor’s upcoming film ‘Verna’.

If rumours are to be believed, Haroon will be essaying the lead role of potential blockbuster Verna. It is also being said that he will be composing and singing songs for the film too. However, there have been no official confirmation regarding the news.

Haroon is mainly famous for his 2 songs for Coke Studio season 5, Tum Kaho and Koi Labda and Laung Gawacha in Coke Studio season 9.

Verna will be ace writer Shoaib Mansoor’s second film dealing with woman issues, he’s famous for writing strong scripts and is credited for the revival of Pakistani cinema. The film is expected to release in 2017.

Well, it was my first project and I feel that it didn’t do well, in terms of number, I feel that probably people said that I didn’t know acting, I would take their opinion with respect, why should I blame anyone (slightly sarcastic). Honestly, if you look at it the other way round that it didn’t do well because of Shoaib Mansoor, would it be believable?, I don’t think so, I feel that the supporting cast of the film could have been strong. Talking about Verna’s failure, he said, “but its failure didn’t affect me, look at me, I am doing good projects”. As Haroon Shahid and Srha Asgr are recently working together on a project ‘ Akhir Kab Tak’, Srha Asgr while talking about her character mentioned that “I didn’t do any vocal exercise for the way I’m screaming in this project. It is my natural talent since childhood.”

I was scared twice in my life, the first time when Faysal Qureshi screamed at the set and the second time when Srha screamed.
