Recently, Sadia Imam gave an interview to Ruse and Shine, hosted by Nadia Khan. In the interview, she expressed that the drama series Aik Aur Pakeezah could have been avoided.
Speaking on the topic, Sadia Imam said, “We say that dramas should be closer to reality, but some issues are extremely painful when highlighted, like Aik Aur Pakeezah by Kashif Nisar. It’s a great drama, but very painful for the two individuals who went through this in real life. The culprit is currently facing punishment, and the two victims are now abroad and probably were already trying to forget the incident when they made a drama on it, and it recirculated on the internet. Imagine the victims, who were trying to get normal in their lives, going through it again now. It might have scratched their old, forgotten wounds. I am constantly thinking about what the family must be going through after Aik Aur Pakeezah, as those videos started resurfacing. Our nation has a short-term memory; we forget high-profile cases.
