Simi Raheal is a talented Pakistani television actress. She has been working in the industry for a longer period of time. Simi Raheal is always very selective in her work, she chooses different characters. Her recent popular dramas were Ishq E Laa, Anaa and Sabaat. All these dramas were loved by the public and they got good viewership.
Recently, Simi Raheal appeared in Fuchsia Magazine’s show in which she discussed about the unfair treatment of Industry with senior actors, she said, “First of all let me tell you that there is nothing like fair treatment in this world, the word ‘Fair’ doesn’t even exist, the answer is, no, the treatment is not at all fair, how can you acknowledge someone’s journey?, you don’t go to one’s place and gift him/her a branded suit, don’t just say that we respect you because this is the sheer disrespect when you are not paying the desired respect to your seniors. In our industry, the scripts are not written for senior actors, in the other parts of world, people tell different stories, we don’t tell different stories, it should be actors’ choice to refuse the characters but here actors can’t choose because of their bread and butter, they are compelled to do same stories”.
Talking further about why it happened, she said, “in PTV’s tenure things were quite okay, there were not much financial issues, creative work was being done, the things got changed after the advertising industry took over, the advertisements require young faces because they are sold, the things changed altogether”
