Zainab Qayyum, also known as ZQ, is an established Pakistani actor and former model and host. Her notable television appearances include Khalish, Mohabbat Chordi Maine, Kala Doriya, Intiqam, Riyasat, Sarkar Sahab, Yeh Zindagi Hai, Jalebiyan, Mohabbat Ab Nahi Hogi, Khumar, Aangan, Phir Wohi Mohabbat, Burns Road Kay Romeo and Juliet, and Khushboo Main Basay Khat. Lately, she has been praised for her acting skills in Geo TV’s drama serial Dayan.
Recently, Zainab Qayyum appeared on PTV Home’s talk show Star & Style, hosted by Asim Yar Tiwana. During the show, she opened up about playing the roles of mothers to her former on-screen heroes.
Talking about it, Zainab Qayyum said, “People ask me, ‘Are you so greedy that you accept playing the mother of Faysal Quraishi or Humayun Saeed? What is your criterion for choosing work?’ Do you know how challenging it is to play the mother of your previous on-screen heroes? I love acting; it is my passion. You can ask Affan—I perform every scene as if it is my first or my last. I am so thankful that I am being paid for a job that I truly love. This is a great blessing. I simply choose the production house and the director because this combination brings the best results.”
