Ali Murtaza was a young Pakistani businessman from Karachi who was brutally killed in Dasht, Balochistan, by local assailants. A few days ago, Ali Murtaza had planned a trip from Quetta to Karachi with his wife and two daughters. He followed Google Maps for navigation, which allegedly directed the family into an area of Dasht, a region considered a stronghold of BLA terrorists. The locals there opened fire on the family’s vehicle, killing Ali Murtaza on the spot. His wife sustained serious injuries, while both of their daughters escaped unharmed.

Ali Murtaza was laid to rest in Karachi on Sunday. His funeral prayers were offered at Rehmania Mosque on Tariq Road and were attended by family, relatives, and members of the business community. Watch the funeral video here:
After the funeral, Ali Murtaza’s grieving father spoke to the media and became emotional while recounting what happened to his son.

Ali Murtaza’s father said, “My son went to Balochistan thinking it’s his country, his home. If it is my country, then that place is also mine. If that’s not part of Pakistan, close it for people. Please forgive me, save the upcoming generation. I have borne a huge loss, but he should be the last child who was killed. Please protect the citizens of Pakistan or please stop citizens from visiting if you can’t provide security. My request to Pakistan is to stop visiting Balochistan unless you get a guarantee that it is your place. May Allah give him a higher place in Jannah.” Watch here:
