Deepak Perwani appeared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, hosted by Rabia Mughni. In the interview, he spoke about living in a joint family and about filming scenes inside a mosque.

While discussing his experience of growing up in a joint family, Deepak Perwani said, “I grew up in a joint family system. We were living in Mirpur Khas before moving to Karachi. It was a joint family system where my daadi used to cook everything from scratch. We enjoyed that time a lot. Later, we separated after the inheritance distribution. As kids, we loved living in a joint family. After shifting to Karachi, we were separated, and that’s when my mother told me that my daadi had ADHD and used to get the whole house cleaned.” Here is the link to the video:
Talking about feeling uncomfortable while filming in a mosque, he said, “I felt there were a few scenes where I was uncomfortable doing them. One among them was shot in the Mosque which will air soon. There are some scenes in a mosque that will air in a few days, and I was initially reluctant because I had never done such scenes before. Even the Islamic terminology was difficult, like tajweed. But I believe it’s part of an actor’s range—when you take on a role, you should perform it with perfection. I can’t reveal much because the scene hasn’t aired yet. They asked me whether I would be able to do it, and I said yes, because it’s my job as an actor.” Watch hrere:
