Recently several of our big stars are going to India and working in Bollywood movies. However, their Pakistani fans are hoping that these superstars should or must contribute towards Pakistani cinema besides working globally. Fawad Khan is one of those superstars who is currently working in a Bollywood project. However, I am (and his other fans are) extremely pleased to hear that he wants to bring his experience back to Pakistan to contribute in Pakistani cinema. Following is an excerpt from his recent interview in India:
“The amount of experience that India has in filmmaking, for me it is an education to understand how systems work because we are re-propping our industry and it would be a valuable contribution,” said the actor, who featured in the internationally acclaimed Pakistani movie Khuda Kay Liye.
“They (Indian filmmakers) have mastered the craft to the extent that they have won over a global audience. I am actually able to take back a certain form of education. For me, it is more importantly an educative experience when it comes to filmmaking and I would like to incorporate that in some way or the other back at home as well,” he said in an interview.
He also said that he is currently doing a Pakistani film with Sultana Siddiqui and his role is very different from his previous roles. He said that he has not signed any other Bollywood projects yet.
P.S. I hope that other Pakistani actors/actresses who are working in Bollywood should think in the same lines and work towards the progress of Pakistani cinema.
