Firdous Jamal said, “I didn’t say anything against Shah Rukh Khan. I admire him; he’s a great actor and an extension of Dilip Kumar. Every actor has a school of thought. I belong to the Dilip Kumar school of thought. Actors like Shah Rukh Khan are different. Different actors take inspiration from different people, while I take inspiration from actors like Dilip Kumar, Muhammad Ali, Agha Talish, and Alauddin. An actor’s beginning and foundation involve learning from others. Man is a mimicry artist; from Adam till now, we have been copying and learning everything. It’s not a bad thing. Learning is a great skill; it’s not a negative thing. It’s the nature of man. Also, Mahira Khan is not my issue. Don’t make her my issue. Neither is she my wife nor a family member, so why are you dragging her into it? It’s good that people like her.”

Firdous Jamal had previously said that Shah Rukh Khan was not a good actor and that comparing the two did not make sense. Pakistan Idol is the Pakistani version of the global Idol franchise. It had its first season years ago and then we found out about a second season to air soon on multiple channels. It brought some major singing talent to the forefront and we got to see many new and talented singers shining in every episode of the show.

The show ran into controversy soon enough as many big singers were not willing to give rights of their songs for the show. Pakistan Idol then suddenly shut down in the middle and they cited Pakistani economy’s bad health and Iran-USA war as the reason. However, it turned out that the show’s management was messy and they had not cleared the payments of many vendors. A photographer even went to court against them. But fans wanted the show to have a finale and it is now back after months long delay.

Pakistan Idol just announced that they will have a finale episode. Atif Aslam is the superstar they had brought for the show and he announced on the social platforms that the final episode will be airing on 23rd August. The other judges Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash and Bilal Maqsood had hinted on the return of the show for a finale previously.

Recently, Nadia Khan, who is a renowned Kya Drama Hai judge, shared her opinion on Dr Bahu’s ending. She expressed her disappointment with the makers for sabotaging the drama’s original concept through a typical happy ending.

Nadia Khan said, “It looked like the ‘Bahu’ title won in the drama, and her career as a doctor was over. We didn’t get any conclusion to the character Sania. What happened to her? Did she complete her studies or residency? Did she pursue her career or not? What message has it given to girls becoming doctors? It was a message that everything is over after marriage for girls. It happens like that in real life, but if the drama gives the same message, it’s wrong. The message should have been that despite everything, she should have become a doctor. Not telling us whether Sania was pursuing her career as a doctor was a negative point. They didn’t even give a proper ending to Minna. Did they show that she went into depression and regretted her failed marriage? She should have been shown as a woman who had happily moved on. Like Faizan was shown happy, which was a good thing, because it’s okay for two people who are not getting what they desire from a relationship to move on. There should have been more to it. I expected better from this writer, this team. The crux was missing, but otherwise, it was a great project. Thank you to the entire team for giving us a good project as we didn’t like reviewing any project after seeing Dr Bahu.”
