Sarah Aijaz Khan is renowned Pakistani television actress known for dramas like Bawli, Meesni, Dooriyaan and others. She was first noticed in Sharpasand which is considered to be her claim to the fame project. Nowadays, Sarah Aijaz Khan is getting praise for her acting in Zabt , which is a hit geo TV series.
Recently, Zabt grabbed attention and severe public hate for a controversial scene where an angry woman played by Sarah Aijaz Khan threw islamic book off the rack. The scene drew severe public backlash and netizens demanded an apology from channels, makers, and actress.
The actress today has formally uploaded her apology video. In the video, she said, “My name is Sarah Aijaz Khan, and I want to publicly apologize for a mistake that happened during one of my scenes. In the scene, my character enters a room in anger and throws a few objects. Unfortunately, one of those objects turned out to be a religious textbook. First of all, Alhamdulillah, I am a Muslim and I practice my faith. I read the Quran, including its translation, and I have deep respect for religious books as well as all books and knowledge in general. I would never intentionally throw any religious text—or a sacred book of any religion—on the floor in anger. This incident has made me realize that I should have been more careful. As actors, we perform on sets that are prepared by the production and art departments. The props and their placement are already arranged, and we usually do not change them because they are part of the scene’s continuity. I performed the scene as instructed. It was completed in a single take, and because there were no retakes, we did not get the opportunity to notice that the book was an Islamic studies textbook. Had we realized it, we would have corrected the mistake immediately. I sincerely apologize for this unintentional mistake. I have sought forgiveness from Allah, who is the Most Merciful, and I hope He has forgiven me. I also ask all of you to forgive me.” Watch here:

The Kahna tragedy in Lahore is one of the most heartbreaking incidents to have taken place in Pakistan. On June 30, 2026, the roof of a tuition centre in the Basti Eid Gah locality of Kahna Nau collapsed. The tragic incident claimed the lives of 14 schoolchildren and injured several others. The children, mostly between the ages of 7 and 13, were trapped under the heavy debris along with their teacher. The roof reportedly collapsed due to poor construction. The tragedy devastated multiple families who lost their beloved children. Even more heartbreaking is the fact that all of the children belonged to underprivileged families whose parents could not afford to send them to a better and safer educational facility.
After the incident, the news spread rapidly across social media. Numerous YouTubers and news channels rushed to the scene and began interviewing the grieving parents, who were already struggling to cope with the unimaginable loss of their children. In one particularly distressing moment, a mother who had lost all three of her children in the devastating incident was repeatedly urged by members of the media to speak despite her overwhelming grief. The grieving mother said that she had five children. Three of them lost their lives in the tragic incident, one was injured, and her youngest child escaped the accident because he was not yet attending school. Watch the video here:
Another news anchor inquired a grieving young boy who lost two brothers in a tragedy:
Samaa News reporter inquired a little girl on how she felt at the loss of her cousin’s lives in the incident:
Netizens are enraged by the insensitivity of digital and electronic media, accusing them of exploiting grieving families for views and ratings. Social media users are of the view that people carrying microphones to tragedy sites should be barred from entering, and that the government should take strict action against them. Many questioned how reporters could gather the courage to ask a grieving mother how she felt after losing her children, calling such behavior deeply insensitive and inhumane. Read the comments:
Hassan Jahangir is a legendary Pakistani singer who began his career in 1986. He rose to prominence with his iconic hit song Hawa Hawa, and also sang Hato Bacho and Pyar Pakistan. His songs became immensely popular in India, where he received a huge welcome around 40 years ago. The singer also received admiration from legendary Indian figures including Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, and many others. Nowadays, Hassan Jahangir is working on his upcoming musical projects, which will be released soon.
Hassan Jahangir was recently a guest on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me. During the podcast, he spoke about receiving a love letter from Indian actress Rekha and others.
When asked by the host, “We have heard Rekha ji wrote you a love letter back when Hawa Hawa was a massive hit. Is that true?” he replied, “Look, love can happen at any age. There are some things that need to be kept secret or private. I was loved in India and had no issues there. Madhuri, Govinda, Shah Rukh, Salman, Mithun Chakraborty, all are my good friends. We are on good terms and we often exchange warm messages.”
Talking about what he regrets the most, Hassan Jahangir said, “I had five to six Indian films as a hero. I regret refusing seven films which I was offered as the main lead in India at that time. All the films were with big names like Neelam, Madhuri, and others. I just rejected the offers and came back to Pakistan. Any of them could have been a hit.”
Dr Bahu is a popular Pakistani drama serial that airs on ARY Digital. The drama is written by Sanam Mehdi Zaryab, while it is directed by ace Pakistani director Mehreen Jabbar, who has also directed hits like Daam. The show is produced by Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib. The drama is receiving widespread criticism for multiple flaws in its script. Several doctors have also pointed out the use of incorrect information and medical terminology in the drama. The show has also seen a drop in views, from one episode garnering 10 million views to 4 million. Social media users and pages are now also calling out the flawed script and character portrayals.
Recently, a Facebook user, Jaweria Sajid, wrote in the Film Wapay Drama Chapter group about the lead character Sania in Dr Bahu, calling her “a girl with zero gratitude.” She wrote a long paragraph describing Sania’s traits and highlighting the flaws in the character depiction in Dr Bahu.
Her Facebook post reads, “In this world there are some women who are unfortunate and ill-fated, and Sania is considered one of them—ungrateful and self-centered. The concept she presents about female doctors is seen as extremely absurd, as if she is the only woman in the world who has become a doctor. In reality, there are many girls in our own families who completed their medical studies, got married immediately, and later completed their residency; during this time some became pregnant and had children. They lived in nuclear families, managed homes, cooked, took care of their husbands and themselves, while their husbands remained fully supportive and did not act like demanding partners, and their families also supported them. After having children, they took breaks, stayed at home if not working, and prepared for specialization. When exams came, sometimes in-laws or their own mothers helped manage the home, while their fathers—often well-known doctors—guided them and even advised them to focus on home and children while preparing for exams. They continued giving exams, had more children within a few years, completed their specialization, and eventually resumed work comfortably, with children going to playgroup or daycare. Many such young female doctors are known personally, including those who manage hospital jobs, evening clinics, home, and children simultaneously. Many others took breaks after residency and resumed careers later, and even daughters of senior doctors followed similar paths. All female doctors are passionate, because without passion medical education is not easy. While support systems are essential for working women, and families do provide them, many women still manage both home and career. However, in this case, Sania is portrayed as someone who refuses responsibility, focuses only on herself, and creates problems within the family, even disturbing others’ lives. It is argued that such attitudes are unnecessary, that parents ultimately have to marry their daughters due to social pressure, and that educated women should remain grounded despite their achievements. Jaweria Sajid” Read the post:
Social media users are also criticizing Sania for being an ungrateful woman who is always complaining about her circumstances despite having an ideal life compared to many other female doctors. Many shared real life examples of female doctors who got married timely, did residency after pregnancy and are perfectly taking up both the personal and professional responsibilities. With such a prestigious background in journalism, colleagues naturally expect a certain level of professionalism, including respect for ethical boundaries, proper research, and giving credit where it is due. The Pakistani entertainment industry is relatively small, with only a limited number of projects and news stories emerging at any given time. As a result, similarities in reporting are understandable. However, blatantly copying a fellow journalist’s work without proper attribution is neither professional nor ethical. Despite his extensive experience, Dr. Ejaz Waris has repeatedly been found to reproduce content from the well-known entertainment website Reviewit.pk without giving due credit.
The examples below highlight recent instances where content published by Reviewit appears to have been reproduced with AI-generated captions. The following comparisons present Reviewit’s original articles alongside the corresponding versions later published by Dr. Ejaz Waris, allowing readers to assess the similarities for themselves.
Having presented just a few examples, we would like to thank Dr. Ejaz Waris for his apparent appreciation of our content—so much so that, on some occasions, even the headlines and featured images appear to remain largely unchanged. That said, we believe it is only fair to expect basic journalistic courtesy in the form of proper attribution whenever our reporting, research, or presentation appears to have been relied upon. Giving due credit is a fundamental professional practice that benefits both journalists and readers alike.
At Reviewit, we have always made it a priority to acknowledge and credit other portals and platforms whenever we rely on their work. Recently, Seema Ghazal gave an interview to Mustafa Habib Siddiqui, host of his YouTube channel MHS Speaks. In the exclusive podcast, legendary Pakistani writer and poet Seema Ghazal opened up about multiple marriages by men.
Talking about it, Seema Ghazal said, “I am not in favour of second marriage or multiple marriages, although I have written a drama where I have shown a second marriage, but I have given the reason for it. The wife was rude, arrogant, proud, and taunting. She looked down upon her husband and used to mock his class. The husband then moved to Canada and got married. It’s not the right thing to do for men who have good wives. I don’t like the men who do multiple marriages and feel proud about it. Like Iqrar Ul Hassan, who flaunts his three marriages. You cheated on your wife and started an affair during your first marriage. I don’t like men who look at other women while being in a relationship.”
Talking about second marriage permission in Islam, she said, “The permission for second marriage was given to men because it was an era where men used to be in war zones and they used to die in large numbers. That’s why there were more women than men. That permission is not applicable for this age, that was a different situation altogether.” Watch here :

This month, Nida went on a recreational trip with both of her sisters. She chose Pakistan’s northern areas for her vacation. However, in a recent episode of Good Morning Pakistan, she expressed her concerns about the littering in northern Pakistan.
Nida Yasir said, “I thought today I will say this to people, the northern areas are Allah’s gift to us. we need to keep these places clean. It was deeply distressing to see garbage everywhere—even as I was walking up the trail—plastic bottles, chip packets, empty wrappers, and trash strewn everywhere; the sheer amount of litter was unbelievable. I saw the same thing in Murree: plastic bags and garbage scattered all around. Allah Almighty has blessed us with such a beautiful place but I don’t know why our people don’t value it? They leave so much garbage outside during picnics. Even there, I saw people throwing away leftover food from their tables. I asked them, “Why are you throwing it there? Why not place a large trash bin here so people can dispose of their waste properly?” I didn’t see a single trash bin in sight. Seeing that was truly disheartening.” Watch here:

Ali Hyderabadi is a famous Pakistani Tiktoker with a massive following of 21 million on the social media application Tiktok. The Tiktoker got married in March 2023 and his wedding pictures went viral on social media. Fans loved Ali Hyderabadi’s wife and sent best wishes to the couple.
Today, a video of Ali Hyderabadi divorcing his wife circulated on social media. In the video Ali could be seen divorcing his wife and saying he won’t see his wife again. Wife in the video came towards husband after which the video was turned off. His wife later accused Ali of fracturing her finger.
Ali Hyderabadi has now come up with his side of the story after his ex-wife’s allegations. He was holding Quran e Pak in his hand and denied all the allegations of physical abuse on his ex.
Ali Hyderabadi said, “Assalamu Alaikum. I am Ali Hyderabadi. This is my first and last video. First of all, I did not want to speak about this topic because it is a family matter. However, when I saw videos being made against me and false statements being given by Zainab—such as the claim that I broke her finger—I felt compelled to respond. Look, the divorce-related video that has gone viral clearly shows that I did not hit her. I recorded that video because I feared that one day she would use some video against me and try to blackmail me. I am holding the Holy Quran, and I swear I am telling the truth: I did not hit her.”
He further added, “Secondly, in the video you can see that, towards the end, they were trying to grab my mobile phone because I was recording the video and leaving with it. Why? Because they had already packed my belongings—you can probably see my clothes, shopping bags, and other items on the floor. The truth is that before the video even started, they had already decided to throw me out of the house. Yes, I was living in their home, but they had invited me to stay there. I had rented houses before—a five-marla house—but she did not want to live there. Then I rented a flat, and she still did not want to stay. I wanted to take her to Hyderabad, but she refused to go. I kept doing everything according to her wishes. During these three years, we had many arguments like this. Now I am being accused of threatening her. I am holding the Holy Quran and saying that I never threatened her, nor did I break her finger. This is a family matter, and I did not want to make it public, but she posted these videos. I honestly cannot say anything except that I never expected her to stoop to this level. I respect all institutions. If any authority calls me, I am fully prepared to provide evidence.” Watch here:

Nauman Bhai asked me, ‘Are you having difficulty crying?’ I said yes. He slapped me. Seriously, he slapped me so hard. They taught me a lot, and Nauman Bhai taught me so much.” Here is the link to the video:
Geo TV is one of the biggest Pakistani channels and has been successfully running its news and entertainment networks for around 20 years. Geo News and Geo Entertainment together have hundreds of millions of YouTube subscribers, and they air multiple hit shows that gain strong TRPs and views. Recently, during Muharram, Geo News faced backlash for reportedly showing Muharram-related imagery associated with the Prophet and the Ahl-e-Bait. While Geo News is already facing possible action from PEMRA, its entertainment channel has also come under criticism for airing controversial content.
In one of the scenes from Zabt, actress Sara Ejaz is shown expressing frustration and anger by throwing books off a rack. The clip sparked severe backlash on social media, with many users calling for a lifetime ban on Geo TV. Others demanded an apology for what they described as repeated blasphemous acts. One social media user wrote, “Everyone should ban Geo TV for a lifetime.” Another commented, “Such things are deliberately shown by channels to see how people react, in order to normalize them.” A third user wrote, “Geo TV does these stunts deliberately because they are too liberal and are following a certain agenda.” Public criticism had already intensified following Geo’s Muharram coverage, and this latest scene has further fueled the debate online. Nadia Khan said, “The whole sequence of Dada Ji with Ansa was quite weird and cringe to me and the way he was talking to her was also inappropriate. Firstly, he said I saw you and instantly liked you for Anas, why did the grandfather like the girl for Anas and how dies he know that she is good? and then he told Ansa that he is an old man whose organs aren’t actively functioning, was there any need to say this?. Then he again shared weird remarks, saying, ‘husband and wife have mutual duties and rights to each other’, what kind of rights is he talking about? He said that I will talk to Anas in private and make him understand? What does he want to talk to Anas? So! all this conversation was inappropriate. I couldn’t believe I was watched this content on the television.” She also copied Salman Shahid’s style and dialogues. Watch here:
