Amar Khan said that there are no meaty roles being written for women. She added that men are playing Gen Z in their late 40s and no one is questioning that. While women are given mature roles after working for 3-4 years. She added that actresses like Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are ruling Hollywood in their 70s and 40s while Pakistani actresses are victims of ageism.

Dhurandhar was a Bollywood movie based on gang wars in Lyari which broke records in India when it released earlier this year. With some real elements woven in, Dhurandhar was high on fiction and made Pakistan’s national issue into a high-profile spy thriller. The propaganda was rampant but it helped the lead star Ranveer Singh revive his career. Mera Lyari was termed as an answer to that propaganda. The movie was supposed to show the real face of Lyari. People are now sharing their opinions on the movie and whether is it a hit or a miss.
