Fellow actors may have biases—if he’s my friend, he will praise me; if I don’t like him, he may say something negative. I want to make my fans happy, not actors. A drama reaches a faraway audience through three main components: a tightly written script, solid direction, and strong performances. Actors end up becoming those characters and bring those stories to life. Even one solid performance at times can be enough to turn a drama into a mega hit.
Pakistani Dramas have a very talented pool of actors. Abul Hassan (Parwarish)

Ali Raza is the breakout leading star of Pakistani dramas. He was noticed last year in Noor Jahan as Nooroo Mama’s favourite son. He went on to do a small and energetic role in Duniyapur, and this year, he hit it out of the park as Shahnawaz Shah in Iqtidaar. Ali Raza played the role of a strong, mature, and assertive politician skillfully, despite his young age. His chemistry with the co-actress Anmol Baloh became a big hit, and Ali Raza became a fan favourite.
Babar Ali (Main Manto Nahi Hoon)
Babar Ali is a superstar of both cinema and Pakistani dramas. He acted in films and later transitioned successfully into the drama industry. Main Manto Nahi Hoon provided him with an opportunity to play a different role from his usual father roles. He was a gangster with enough money and power to control the city, but he eventually lost both his sons. Tan Mann Neelo Neel was a Pakistani drama that shocked the nation in 2025. A mini-series about fake blasphemy cases and mob-lynching had a heart-wrenching end. Nouman Masood played Sehar Khan’s father’s role, and the character had so many layers. He was an ex-murderer and a current middle-class father who was focused on his daily life. His emotional turmoil, guilt, and, later on, defence for his daughter were beautifully portrayed by Nouman Masood. This was definitely one of the best performances of 2025.
Nameer Khan (Qarz e Jaan)
Nameer Khan had done just one Pakistani drama: Mein, when he landed the role of Ammar Bakhtiyar in Qarz e Jaan. The character was grey, and fans remained divided till the end on how to perceive it. Nameer Khan was so good as Amar Bakhtiyar that fans forgave the character’s horrible crimes and even wanted him to have a repentance arc.
Noor Ul Hassan (Case No. 9)
Noor ul Hassan is an actor and anchor whom people love. He is a soft-spoken and positive personality, but his acting talent is impeccable. He is showcasing how great he is as he is appearing as Advocate Bukhari in case No. 9. He is defending the rapist with so much zeal that everyone is hating him. He has no moral values, and he will go to any extent to defend his client. A great performance by the seasoned actor, and he is standing out in a drama where the talent of every other actor is unmatched.
Samar Jafri (Parwarish)
Samar Jafri featured as Wali Jahangir in the Pakistani drama Pawarsh in 2025. The character was a representation of many youngsters nowadays, and also focused on the centuries-old father-son rivalry. Samar was great as Wali, and many young men were able to relate to him. He also imparted the importance of understanding the love of your family, following your passion, and not backing down under pressure.
Shuja Asad (Aye Ishq e Junoon)
Shuja Asad has been a great addition to the Pakistani drama world. He had a successful year as he featured as Sonu Danger in Tan Mann Neelo Neel and then appeared as a psychopathic villain in Aye Ishq e Junoon. He nailed the character and made sure that he would not be stereotyped into one-dimensional characters. He was able to outshine big names like Mehmood Aslam and Sheheyr Munawar, who were also great in the drama.
Sheheryar Munawar (Aye Ishq e Junoon)
Sheheryar Munawar gave a great performance in Aye Ishq Junoon. Aye Ishq e Junoon was a different type of Pakistani drama as it revolved around a crime. Sheheryar Munawar remained consistent throughout, and his green flag act was understandable. He has some emotionally difficult scenes in the show, and he nailed every one of those. His bromance chemistry with Shuja Asad also won the audience.
Usman Mukhtar (Pamaal)
Usman Mukhtar has expertly taken on a challenging role in the trending Pakistani drama, Pamaal. As Raza, he plays a husband who has undeniably divided the audience. Some view him as the epitome of normalcy, while others see him as a glaring red flag. Mukhtar masterfully brings this complexity to life, skillfully balancing moments where he appears to be the perfect man with instances that genuinely instill fear. The duo is again fighting and this time on Instagram, no less. Aliza Sultan asked for winter uniforms for her children and commented this publicly. Even the Islamic terminology was difficult, like tajweed. But I believe it’s part of an actor’s range—when you take on a role, you should perform it with perfection. Lahore Police conducted a huge raid recently at a private Halloween party. It all started with several videos which went viral on social media. The alleged party took place in Gulberg and police raided and arrested 51 individuals from the party. 31 men and 20 women were among the attendees and they have all been detained by the police.
