In hindsight, Main Manto Nahi Hoon was all about Suraiyya Phupho and farhad Binyamin. The duo remained consistent throughout and the arcs ended with logic. Azaan Sami Khan played Farhad Binyamin and the star was loved for his strong portrayal of the problematic character. Azaan was a guest on Buzz on ARY Digital and shared some behind the scenes facts about the drama’s shoot and his character.
Azaan Sami Khan shared that his scene where Farhad comes to shoot Manto was the very first scene he shot. It was shot in Bahria Town and he had to face Humayun Saeed and Sanam Saeed in his very first scene. This created pressure in his head and he performed the iconic Haye Allah scene.
Here is the scene that Azaan Sami Khan shot first for Main Manto Nahi Hoon and almost fainted:
Azaan Sami Khan revealed that he almost fainted while he was shooting the scene. He was facing two very big stars who are known for their acting prowess and he had to do all the antics of Farhad. He even asked the director Nadeem Baig for water. But his director was chilled out and helped him through the scene.
Amna Malik is an actress, model and host who has been a part of the entertainment industry for some time now. The starlet has been giving some huge performances recently. She just appeared in Sher and she was the fierce sister of Sher, Marjan, who was his support throughout. The starlet is appearing as Rashda in Jama Taqseem and her track is a fan favourite.
Amna Malik is portraying Rashda in Jama Taqseem. She is the mother of two daughters and she has always lived a very oppressed life. She is not able to completely embrace freedom as she has never seen it in this way. A woman who was always put down is now on a journey to discover her strength and identity. Amna Malik is completely opposite to Rashda and she shared her point of view in the joint family vs nuclear family debate on Hasna Mana Hai.
Amna Malik said that living in a joint family is not wrong. But when siblings start to have kids and the family grows, you need more space. Living together becomes difficult. It is not just sisters-in-law who fight but siblings themselves start having arguments. Thus maintaining a certain distance is important and love remains intact that way.
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan is a social media personality and an activist for men’s rights. She is always trending for her controversial statements but this time her personal life is in the news. She has just tied the knot with her long time friend Haris Khokhar. Nikkah was solemnised by Maulana Tariq Jamil at his residence and the couple has started a new chapter in their lives.
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan’s husband Haris Khokhar is under fire after their Nikkah video came out. During the Nikkah while Maulana Tariq Jamil was performing the most important part of the ceremony, he was seen filming the event and taking pictures. Fans thought this was unnecessary and distasteful. He could have asked someone else to do it for him.
This is what happened:
The internet was calling out Harish Khokhar fo making videos during his own Nikkah. One user wrote, “She used to talk so much and he is the one she chose.” Another added, “Maulana is performing Dua and he is busy taking selfies.” One said, “If jahalat had a face, this would be it.” This was the reaction:
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan is a psychologist, media personality and activist. She has been very popular among the masses especially male viewers as she is always talking about how innocent men are and she has always stood up for men’s rights. She has just entered a new chapter of her life as she tied the knot to her long time friend Haris Khokhar.
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has been trending since her Nikkah ceremony as she went on and shared the prices of her outfit and jewelry. She claimed that her outfit was worth 1.5 crores while her jewelry was a 40 tola set or in a few videos she called it a 35 kilo set. The jewelry set was allegedly worth 2 crore rupees. Her husband also reiterates that his wife is wearing a very expensive outfit and set.
Now, Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has admitted that she was lying about her outfit and jewelry prices but it was mainly a slip of tongue. She added that anything she wears becomes worth crores and she only thinks in crores. People need to stop obessessing over her.
Anzela Abbasi is a renowned Pakistani model, singer, and TV actress. She gained recognition through her important role in the popular drama Laal Ishq, written by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, where fans praised her excellent acting skills. She also worked alongside Wahaj Ali in the Hum TV drama serial Gila, which was widely appreciated. Her performance in Haqeeqat was also praised. Anzela Abbasi is the daughter of renowned actors Javeria Abbasi and Shamoon Abbasi, and she married Tashfeen Ansari in August 2023.
Recently, she appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where she talked about her parents’ divorce, her mother’s role in her upbringing, moving out, and her father as an inspiration.
Talking about her parents’ divorce, she said, “I think I would say that about my mom because she was literally just trying to figure things out after her divorce. She had me in her twenties, which is quite young to have a child. It’s not that she wasn’t working, but for me, she played the roles of both mom and dad. I never felt my father’s absence and had no complaints about her in that sense. Of course, as a child, you sometimes get irritated with your parents, but as I grew up, I never felt that way.”
Talking about moving out of the house, she said, “I had that conversation when I was 22. I moved out and decided that I would earn and become independent. It was quite a debate with my mom, but after moving out, our relationship improved. She trusted me, and would come over, she would bring food, and we used to have a good time. Later, I moved back in with her when she asked me to get settled in life.”
Talking about her father, she said, “I admit he is a great actor, but I don’t know which side of him to relate to. Honestly, I don’t follow my parents’ work; it’s their job. When I was younger, I could relate to him because I have seen him multitasking— he is an actor, director, producer and writer. Now, I want to try everything, but I don’t necessarily look up to him in that way.”
She further added, “What I learned from my father is to keep working on my craft and continually improve myself in whatever I do.”

Ahmed Randhawa is a host and TV actor who recently made headlines after doing podcast with Saba Qamar which stirred multiple debates. Besides hosting, Ahmed Randhawa is known for dramas like Iqtidar, Bichoo and Agar. Currently, fans are liking his acting in ARY Digital’s soap serial Chaalbaaz and Geo TV’s Case No. 9. He has also done multiple modelling ventures and commercials.
A few days ago, Ahmed Randhawa appeared on Good Morning Pakistan for the promotion of his drama serial Chaalbaaz. During the show, he opened up about his ideal life partner’s qualities.
To the question, “What qualities do you think your life partner should have?” Ahmed Randhawa said, “I think the most important thing is mental compatibility. Your minds should match with each other, that you’re able to hold a conversation with each other. Also, our profession is different; an actor’s life has both highs and lows. So, my life partner should be supportive — someone who realizes that difficult times may come in life, she should have a trust in my capabilities and has faith in me that I will make something out of myself. She should be someone who stands by me in difficult times. It is understandable that girls also need security and comfort. Of course, if it’s written in fate, I will provide, Insha’Allah. But if there are ups and downs in life, then that support becomes very important — like they say, ‘Behind every successful man, there’s a woman’s hand.’ So that support system is very necessary. And values, religion, mindset, politics — all these things, I believe, come under mental compatibility too. I think values don’t necessarily have to be 100% the same”
To the question, “And how much does physical appearance matter to you?” he replied, “Looks do matter to me but I believe beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. She should look beautiful to me, I should find my partner good looking. I think there should be attraction — and everyone’s definition of beauty is different anyway”
Dananeer Mobeen is a talented Pakistani actor and a popular digital creator and influencer who got international fame through her viral video ‘Pawri Ho Rahi Hai.’ She enjoys a remarkable following of 6.5 million on Instagram and has appeared in four popular TV dramas so far, including Sinf e Aahan, Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri, Very Filmy, and Meem Se Muhabbat. Dr. Nabiha Ali Khan is a clinical psychologist, former news anchor, and digital influencer who is currently making headlines on social media for her viral nikah with her colleague Haris Khokhar. Her Nikah look is also being discussed on social media. Dr. Nabiha opted for a simple look for her nikah — she wore a minimally embellished, elegant off-white bridal dress by Hina Salman, paired with a heavy jewelry set, while her husband Haris twinned with her in an off-white sherwani and qulla.
An online debate sparked on the social media after she revealed the cost of her outfit and jewelry. According to Dr. Nabiha, she wore an expensive jewelry set worth PKR one crore, and her dress was also worth one crore. However, social media users did not believe her claims and began searching for her jewelry online. One user even posted a similar set by Heera Jewelers, a designer jewelry brand that creates imitation versions of gold designs, including the one Dr Nabiha wore on her special day. First watch the video:
The jewelry set video shared by a social media user sparked an online debate, with most people saying that the design looks very cheap, lacks finishing and neatness, and is in no way equivalent to 40 tolas of gold. One wrote, “This isn’t real gold, and if she wanted to wear artificial jewelry, she should’ve worn something more original (or better quality).” Another claimed, “This looks so fake”. A social media user wrote, “She is lying just to become famous and get views.” Another commented, “And she said 1 ½ crore cost of this bridal set” One said, “Even if these two sets are original, they can’t be worth 2 crores. I have 40 tolas of gold myself, Mashallah, with many pieces, and still, their value isn’t that high — even one pearl (moti) set doesn’t cost that much.” Read the comments:

The popular Pakistani drama list will be incomplete without it.

Main Manto Nahi Hoon
Writer: Khalil ur Rehman Qamar Director: Nadeem Baig Channel: ARY Digital

With a stellar cast comprising Humayun Saeed, Sajal Aly, Sanam Saeed, Saima Noor, Babar Ali, Asif Raza Mir, Saba Faisal, Saba Hameed, Azaan Sami Khan, and others, and their strong performances, Main Manto Nahi Hoon was surely popular even while people disliked it. Meem Se Mohabbat
Writer: Farhat Ishtiaq Director: Ali Hassan Channel: Hum TV

Sher
Writer: Zanjabeel Asim Shah Director: Aehsun Talish Channel: ARY Digital
Sher is another feather in Danish Taimoor’s cap as the drama joins the list of both the Best Dramas of 2025 as well as the most Popular Pakistani Dramas of 2025. This show had a beautiful story, very strong performances, and a pace that kept the audience hooked throughout. Sher had a massive viewership with its first episode clocking 56 million views, while it ended with a cinema premiere and 23 million views on the last episode on YouTube, when it was not even uploaded on the release day.
All these were massively popular Pakistani dramas of 2025. This also shows how there’s no single formula for making a drama that will bring viewership. Sometimes dramas like Do Kinaray and Iqtidar can get viewership despite not having massive expectations, while on the other hand, a show like Main Manto Nahi Hoon can receive backlash despite a decent number of views. Danish Taimoor lands on the list twice, first with Mann Mast Malang, which was borderline inappropriate, while his second drama, Sher, had great direction, a good storyline, and he finally gave an out-of-the-box performance.

Talking about playing Ruby, Nadia Afgan said, “I really like Ruby’s character. Ruby and Farasat are like that, whatever Farasat says, Ruby completely agrees with it because he explains things so well that she wholeheartedly believes him. When she says, ‘Farasat, how do you manage to do all these things simultaneously?’ she genuinely believes his capabilities — whether it’s about taking care of the family, the neighborhood, or anything else. The way he tells his stories, she trusts every word. It’s all because Farasat is genuinely kind and caring towards his wife, and that’s why she believes in him — she feels he has a pure heart. You know, when someone is good with you, you tend to think they’re good with everyone. One of my friends once complained about her husband, but I didn’t believe her because he was a great friend of mine. She said, ‘He’s good to you, but not to me,’ and that really made me think.”
Talking about her working experience with Nauman Ijaz, she said, “Ruby is a fun character, especially when performing alongside Nauman Ijaz. I’ve worked with him multiple times before, and we are good friends, which makes it easier to collaborate. We often sit together to discuss and shape our scenes. For instance, yesterday we sat outside Sanam and Fida’s house and prepared a scene. We even incorporate real-life instances and small details into our performances. I’ve seen selfish actors who don’t rehearse their scenes, but Nomi Bhai is a joy to work with.”

Shizza Khan recently appeared on Good Morning Pakistan, where she talked about her relationship with Bushra Ansari and her experience playing negative roles in Mein and Sher.
Talking about her relationship with Bushra Ansari, she said, “I share a great bond with Bushra Ansari ji. I was playing her daughter in Tere Bina Main Nahi, which was also my debut project in Karachi, and Bushra Ansari supported me a lot. I must especially mention this—soon after joining the set in Karachi, I got typhoid, which I couldn’t diagnose at first. I was coughing on set, feeling nauseous, and was very sick, but I didn’t pay much attention to it. My mother belongs to the medical field and takes special care of herself, but I was being careless away from home, working on my new project with full dedication. Bushra Ansari asked me to get myself checked, but I said, ‘Aapa, I’m not getting time—how can I go?’ The very next day, she called a lab to the set, and they did all my tests there. The next morning, I thanked her and asked about the bills. I was worried because, as a newcomer, I couldn’t afford a bill of sixty thousand. But Bushra Ansari said, ‘You are like my child. Your mother isn’t here, and I am like your mother.’” Here is the link to the video:
Talking about playing negative roles, she said, “I am thankful that I get important roles because I am not yet at the stage where I can choose roles for myself, but yes, I have been lucky to get significant ones. Whenever I play a negative character, they are never entirely negative. When I observe my characters, I always find multiple positive traits in them. However, people often say that I don’t look evil. Once, an aunty came to me and asked, ‘Are you really that negative in real life?’ I replied, ‘What, like having affairs with other ladies’ husbands?’ She got confused after that, but yes, people take it seriously. At that time, I was playing Mein.” Here is the link to the video:

Kamran Jeelani is a seasoned Pakistani television actor who has appeared in numerous dramas, but his claim to fame was the hit PTV drama serial Mehndi, in which he was cast opposite Fiza Ali. The actor comes from a strong acting background, as his late father, Qurban Jilani, and his brother, Adnan Jilani, are also popular actors. Kamran’s other notable dramas include Maryam, Bandhay Ek Dour Se, Roshni, Sada Sukhi Raho, Daasi, Dil Ishq, Uraan, Anabia, Tujh Pe Qurban, Khalish, Fitoor, and Mann Mast Malang. Currently, fans are praising him in Case No. 9.
Recently, Kamran Jeelani appeared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, hosted by Rabia Mughni. In the show, he opened up about Case No. 9 and the issue of junior actors disrespecting seniors.
Talking about Case No. 9, Kamran Jeelani said, “So far, so good! Case No. 9 turned out to be a great project — hats off to the whole team. Wajahat has done an outstanding job, and all the performances were remarkable. Shahzeb Khanzada has written an excellent script — it’s the first time we’ve seen such a bold story on screen. I mean, we’re tired of the same repetitive scripts; we need to focus on the content. If we work on strong content, it will be successful because we already shoot it well, and our actors perform their best. Channels that have changed their storytelling approach a d screens have seen a remarkable success”. Here is the link to the video:
Talking about getting Case No. 9 and his short role, Kamran Jeelani said, “I was contacted by 7th Sky because I have good terms with them. They told me they had this mega script, and when I heard it was being directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain and written by Shahzeb Khanzada — along with the impressive star cast they mentioned — I had to do it. I was already hearing great things about the project. They narrated the story to me and said there were two characters — a good cop and a bad cop — and they were considering me for the positive role. They also explained that the character is important and appears on and off throughout the series. Besides me, there are several other actors playing important roles. The story mainly belongs to Saba and Faysal, but Aamina Sheikh, Junaid Khan, Madiha Rizvi, and Naveen Waqar are all performing significant roles. In fact, Ali Rehman Khan has a very short appearance in it. The cast is definitely adding to the drama, so I said yes to it. Sometimes you take on projects just to keep things running, but I knew Case No. 9 was different and would be a big project. I don’t think anyone has criticized it yet — we need more scripts like this.” Here is the link to the video:
Talking about juniors disrespecting seniors, Kamran Jeelani said, “We still learn from our seniors and respect is there, we are friendly with them as well but never crossed that thin line with seniors which make us disrespect but I find this lacking in our juniors. We used to stand in front of our seniors until they left the set. If they become hit actors, are super successful, and are getting dramas but not respecting their seniors, it won’t make them truly big — it’s not something to be proud of. Success like a mix chaat plate , you are a good human being and successful, — that’s what truly makes you shine and you become a complete package. That’s what helps you flourish. You have to stay humble.” Here is the link to the video:

This show is neither a run-of-the-mill story of love nor does it show a couple with a very abusive husband. It is the story of every second marriage in Pakistan and shows how oppression is not always physical or visible. It is in the details; sometimes a woman who seems to be living a very happy life is enduring unimaginable pain and oppression. Saba Qamar and Usman Mukhtar have done phenomenally well, and they have made viewers debate on every scene and happening in the show.
Which drama among these did you find to be the Best Pakistani Drama of 2025? Please share your thoughts with us!
Madiha Rizvi is a versatile Pakistani television actor known for her hit dramas like Jhooti, Bandhay Ek Dour Se, Ishq Di Chashni, Parizaad, Mann Mast Malang, and Yahya. She recently appeared in a short role in Case No. 9. Nowadays, fans are loving her excellent performance in a negative role in Hum TV’s hit drama series Jama Taqseem.
Today, Madiha Rizvi appeared on Nadia Khan’s morning show Rise and Shine for Entertainment 365. During the show, Madiha Rizvi opened up about the joint family system in Pakistan and the popularity of Jama Taqseem.
Talking about Jama Taqseem’s popularity, she said, “While doing it, we had no idea that it would click this much. I had to do it because I read the script and loved it, but it was risky. I played it, and it’s being praised, but it was risky because it pinpoints our society, and such topics often ignite backlash. Some situations especially spark debates — it was tough to perform this character.”
Talking about the joint family system, Madiha Rizvi said, “I am not in favor of the joint family system because there is more respect and love in a separate family setup. When too many people live under one roof, it becomes difficult, and self-respect suffers. There are many challenges in living together, especially these days. Personally, I don’t agree with living in a joint family.”
Talking about harassment, she said, “Mothers know their children well — they know what kind of drawbacks or flaws their children have, and how far one can go. Jama Taqseem also teaches that you shouldn’t be like Nighat — a mother who hides her son’s mistakes.”
She further added that her inbox is full of abusive messages after each episode ends, and people are bad-mouthing her for playing Nighat in Jama Taqseem. She said that despite the criticism, she is really enjoying playing Nighat because such stories have an impact and they generate discussion.

Tere Bin was a massive blockbuster drama serial, written by Nooran Makhdoom and directed by Siraj-ul-Haq which featured the powerful pairing of Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi. The drama captivated audiences across borders, trending consistently on social media and achieving record-breaking viewership on YouTube. Its original soundtrack (OST) also gained immense popularity, becoming a key factor in the drama’s overall success. However, it was later revealed that the tune of the OST was heavily inspired by Bollywood’s famous song ‘Thukra Ke Mera Pyar Mera Inteqam Dekhegi’ after which Zee Music claimed copyright strike until the issue was legally resolved between Har Pal Geo & Zee Music.
Recently, Shani Arshad, the composer and singer opened up about the allegations of copying the Bollywood tune.
Talking about it, Shani Arshad said, “There has been a very heinous accusation that I copied Tere Bin from a certain Bollywood song. Both are completely different songs, but I don’t know why it happens in Pakistan and India that some people are always ready to point out others’ mistakes. They listen only to find which song resembles another, and unfortunately, others take benefit from it. First, someone commented that it resembled a particular song, and then others followed, which benefitted them too. Tere Bin was a massive hit, which India couldn’t bear, and they started alleging that Pakistan copied an Indian song. That’s why the OST was blocked on YouTube, and a few episodes were also restricted. Now the song is on Zee Music as well, and they have credited me. Had it really been a copy, they would have never uploaded it on Zee Music with proper credits”. Here is the link to the video:
Tere Bin fans are believing Shani Arshad and are saying it was a brilliant piece of work by him and they understand Bollywood’s cheap tactics but a few saying that both tunes are the same. Many fans from India and abroad also supported him:

Pamaal is a drama that has started several debates on social media. It is written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah while the director is Khizer Idrees. The show has Saba Qamar and Usman Mukhtar as Malika and Raza and their marriage shows the reality of so many emotionally abusive marriages in Pakistan. Fans are divided into Malika and Raza camps and every episode ends with a completely new debate.
Saba Qamar is giving a great performance as Malika in Pamaal. However, a debate started when in a recent episode, Raza loses his cool over Malika and she breaks down into tears. Saba’s face looked distorted and a debate started with many people thinking that the actress has done botox on her face. The “botox crying face” pictures also went viral.
The director of Pamaal has addressed this situation. He said that sometimes the angles and lighting in the scene are not good and actors also ask to change the clips. But in this case, though the lighting was not right, the scene looked very raw and real. Thus they let it go on-air and people started questioning if something was wrong with Saba’s face. The problem actually lied with camera angles.
