Qurat Ul Ain Iqrar is a former Pakistani news anchor. She is currently running her clothing brand Ain Nagar. Besides this, she is head of Urdu department in Lahore Grammar School. Qurat ul Ain got married to anchor Iqrar Ul Hassan in 2005 and together they are parents to a handsome boy Pehlaaj. She is devoted wife and mother.

Recently, Qurat ul Ain Iqrar appeared in Aroosa Khan’s podcast. In the podcast, she opened up about her parenting style and handling her son Pehlaaj smartly.

Talking about it, Qurat ul Ain Iqrar said, “I don’t check Pehlaaj’s phone, but I do keep an eye on his activities. I know where he goes as he stays in touch, and I have the contact numbers of his friends and their mothers. He informs me whenever he goes anywhere. I even have a few people keeping an eye on him, but I don’t have the habit of checking phones or laptops. There are ways to keep a check on your child so that he doesn’t get irritated or becomes a rebel—you should give your kids space. I don’t chase after him because he’s an adult now, and his friends are quite mature. Besides that, I pray for him. I’m not strict, though once I tried to hit him—but I couldn’t go through with it.”

Qurat ul Ain Iqrar further added, “I don’t shop for Pehlaaj anymore because now he chooses what he likes. He prefers to do his shopping himself.”

She also said, “Now, Pehlaaj can travel alone, but his first solo trip was with his grandmother and uncle. We should give our children space and allow them to travel alone because they have to lead a life on their own. We need to make them independent. Let your kids start their lives.”
