Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 9 Story Review – Must-Watch

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was superbly written and executed, it also had some of the most important developments to its credit. This was a fast-paced and emotional episode which marked the tragic ending of Noori’s love story. Iqra Aziz’s phenomenal performance, an eventful and convincing screenplay coupled with Kashif Nisar’s skillful direction made this episode one of the best episodes of a drama which never disappoints. The emotional authenticity of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’s script and the honesty with which this story has been translated on-screen makes it a must-watch.

Broken Promises and Dreams

Noori’s track was covered faultlessly tonight. The way her entire ‘struggle’ ended in giving her a bad name and absolutely nothing else, was shown extremely convincingly. Noori was so sure that Sahir will believe her that she left everything and went to him. Everything from Noori’s state of mind when she was in the car with Shoka to the hurt she felt when Sahir treated her just the way everyone else had all her life was shown superbly. The fact that Noori did something which was completely against everything she had ever believed in just to protect Sahir made her situation even more tragic. Noori and Ama Janate’s ‘goodbye’ scene was one of the best scenes of this episode. The little girl who played Noori’s childhood looked so much like the older Noori which made these scenes even more realistic. Sahir did not have a problem with going abroad using the money which Noori had given him but he could not feel the same way about Noori now that she had been to the jail.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 9 Story Review - Must-Watch

Tonight, there wasn’t much of a difference between Sahir and Shoka! Sahir judged Noori the same way Shoka did, he also thought that Noori was a culprit and not worthy of his love of respect. All of Noori’s scenes tonight showed a lost girl who had been running after love and respect all her life but everyone in her life except for Ama Janate expected more from her than they ever gave her. More than anything else what attracted Noori towards Sahir was that he did not see her the way the rest of the world did but tonight all that changed. It is so refreshing to watch a female protagonist who is not allured by money or status. Even though Noori made a huge mistake but even all through this her self-respect came before everything else. Iqra Aziz’s performance tonight was exceptional throughout in every single scene.

Bhola Escapes Again!

By the end of this episode, Noori was finally back with Ama Janate because she no longer had any place to run to but Bhola managed to escape and was shown running after things which attracted him the most. Bhola and Noori continue to be lost souls, looking for a place to belong. The brief scene showing what Bhola’s mother was going through was poignant and beautifully presented. Noori and Bhola’s track took a turn which was rather unexpected because I was hoping that these two will meet when they make their escapes.

Overall Impression

This episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi fit the bill in every possible way. The performances were exceptional, the pace of the story was perfect and it was poignant throughout. The use of the background score was remarkable. All the actors deserve special appreciation for sporting looks which go perfectly well with their characters. Tonight’s episode belonged to Noori – Iqra Aziz. This has to be the first drama in which Iqra Aziz’s talent has been exploited to the maximum. Syed Jibran played his part brilliantly by breathing life into a character which kept you guessing right till the end.

The Preview

The preview of the next episode showed that Bhola will be back home soon. It also looked like Noori was willing to give in. It is impossible to predict what turn the story will take from here on but one thing is certain that Ranjha Ranjha Kardi will continue to be an amazing must-watch play.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 8 Story Review – Brilliant

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 8 Story Review – Poignant, thoroughly entertaining, completely unpredictable and truly impressive – Ranjha Ranjha Kardi continues to be one of the best dramas of this season. Imran Ashraf yet again outdid himself tonight and made Bhola’s scenes the most powerful scenes of this episode. Bhola’s antics make you laugh but his frustrations make you feel for him. Bhola’s dreams are just as real as that of Noori, although both of them want something completely different. Their struggles and the way they continue to pursue their ‘dreams’ makes their tracks engaging. There is always a surprise in store whenever the story takes a new turn. Although Bhola is getting a lot less screen time compared to rest of the characters but his scenes are always the most impactful. Every single scene tonight was effective and meaningful.

Misguided Decisions

Tonight’s episode showed a mother’s futile efforts to ‘heal’ her son, a young man’s belief that his real happiness lied outside his house and a lover’s ultimate sacrifice. The opening scene of this episode was one of my favorites especially because it showed just how ‘focused’ Bhola was! When he asked for the gold chain, his mother instantly figured out the real reason behind this wish. The way his mother struggled yet again superbly depicted how difficult it was for her to force a grown up man to do things which he did not want to do. The rest of the episode focused mainly on Noori’s track. When Noori handed over the money to Sahir, the background score suggested that this was a misguided decision which will most probably lead to something completely different from the happy ending Noori is hoping for. Although Noori’s actions have been highly objectionable but even then I liked how she confronted Haji sahab and stood up for herself. This was an interesting turn of events because I was expecting Noori to admit her crime. On the contrary she covered up for Sahir quite confidently and later on also used Haji Sahab’s advances to her advantage. This entire development is one of those many surprises because of which I absolutely love this play! Sahir’s scenes tonight kept me wondering as usual. Since there is no trace of his family therefore I find it difficult to trust him yet everything he says and does makes him look like a genuine person. The mystery surrounding this character makes this track especially intriguing.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 8 Story Review - Brilliant

The Tables Are Turned

The way Noori’s parents defended her and did whatever they could to get her out of jail made me feel for them as well, for the first time perhaps. The Noori they knew would never do something like this therefore they did not believe any of it which in a way paved a way for Noori to spin a story which will work to her advantage. Noori has always been shown as an energetic and determined individual. Before she fell in love with Sahir, she dedicated her time and efforts to her work but ever since she has fallen in love with Sahir, he has been the focus of attention. Her character is interesting and Iqra Aziz did complete justice to it, especially tonight. Her expressions when the police comes to the house were phenomenal. I find Noori’s determination and enthusiasm likable even though she is not using her qualities in an intelligent manner at the moment. Noori is madly in love and although she thinks she is really clever but the fact is that Noori is naive in many ways. Noori surely turned the tables on Haji Sahab tonight, this unexpected development was the highlight of tonight’s episode. Noori will probably be out of jail soon but how will she escape Shoka? Noor-ul-Hassan’s versatility never ceases to impress, whether he is playing the role of a decent father /brother or a role like that of Shoka, he is always at the top of his game.

More Of Bhola Please!

Noori’s track is entertaining and unpredictable but even after all these weeks Bhola is the reason why I tune into this drama. His scenes are extraordinary and always leave a mark. Faiza Iftikhar’s entire script so far has been heartwarming and compelling but she deserves tons of praise especially for writing Bhola’s character so beautifully. Imran Ashraf’s outstanding performance coupled with Kashif Nisar’s deft direction has made this beautiful character come alive on screen faultlessly. I am sure all the viewers want to see more of Bhola. Asma Abbas is equally impressive as the mother who loves her son dearly but is fighting a losing battle.

The Preview

The preview of the next episode showed that Bhola will finally succeed in running away. Noori too seemed to be in troubled waters yet again. Will these two magical characters meet soon?

I am eagerly looking forward to the next episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi.
Don’t forget to share your thoughts about this episode.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 7 Story Review – Engaging & Unpredictable

This was another engaging episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi which ended too quickly! Faiza Iftikhar’s characters are always well-rounded but Bhola’s character is exceptional. The attention to detail is truly impressive and Imran Ashraf’s shining performance makes Bhola’s scenes an absolute delight to watch. The relationship between Bhola and his mother was yet again the highlight of this episode. Any mother out there who has such a child will surely be able to relate to their relationship. Kashif Nisar’s brilliance reflects in all the well-crafted scenes. The overall feel of the drama is not too grim because of the visuals and unlike many other directors, Kashif Nisar has not relied on making the actors look ‘pretty’. He has kept the visuals ‘real’ and pleasing at the same time.

Difficult Situations

Every character was shown going through the most difficult period of their lives in this episode. For Bhola, it is an unbearable period because he feels imprisoned in his own house. He desperately wants to run away but cannot find a way out. For him self-harm was his last resort but even then his chachi and cousin did not let him out. Bhola’s mother too took the risk of leaving Bhola home and going to the Mazar because she thinks that spiritual healing will cure her son. Her conversation with Ama Janate was one of the most well-written conversations tonight since it showed a mother’s love and also her ignorance. She is convinced that getting Bhola married will solve her problems. Ama Janate gave her a reality check but we have never seen her taking Bhola to a proper doctor even though she has so much money. Bhola’s mother is at the end of her rope and I am wondering if the repeated references to marriage being a possible ‘cure’ have something to do with where this track is eventually headed. Noori’s situation went from bad to worse when Haji Sahab showed his true colors. Noori’s reaction to his offer was completely in line with her character. I liked the way the viewers were kept wondering about how she was going to react after he gave her the money. Noori also took an unexpected decision in haste as well as desperation – one for which she will surely pay. Even though Sahir is in jail and going through a really tough time yet we have not seen a single member of his family yet. All the leading characters unveiled their problem solving abilities tonight and I must say that so far it seems like all of them are fighting a losing battle.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 7 Story Review - Engaging & Unpredictable

Favorite Scenes

The first scene of the episode was hilarious! The way Bhola ‘complimented’ Shakoora and later on when he told his chachi what his mother had said about her was so amusing. This was a wonderful start to an episode which had so many serious developments later on. The scene which covered Qudsia telling Haji sahab about Noori was one of my favorites too. Haji showed as if he was not interested but through this conversation he also learned that Noori was ‘corrupt’ and therefore easy to exploit! This was such an important scene and it was executed so well. Both the scenes covering Bhola’s relationship with his mother were my favorite. They were meaningful, sensitive and beautifully acted-out. The scene at the mazar and the conversation between Bhola’s mother and Ama Janate was another meaningful conversation. I also like the way Bhola’s chacha’s character was covered in this episode – this person is definitely not a nice man.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 7 Story Review - Engaging & Unpredictable

Unpredictable and Engaging

Tonight’s episode like all the previous episodes was unpredictable. I couldn’t help but wonder if Bhola would run away while his mother was away. If Sahir was going to make an exit from Noori’s life. How was Noori going to deal with the situation? The preview of the next episode made me even more inquisitive. It looked like Sahir was out of jail but he wanted to leave sooner. Waiting to see how this track unveils in the future. Also, wondering when and how Bhola will meet Noori again. I am also really curious to find out more about the chacha’s character.

Exceptional Performances

Imran Ashraf and Asma Abbas in particular gave spectacular performances tonight. Imran Ashraf’s acting has been outstanding throughout, he has given this character everything it needed and probably more! It is undoubtedly one of the best performances we have seen in Pakistani dramas.

How many of you watched tonight’s episode? Do share your thoughts about it.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 6 Story Review – Tough Times Ahead

Every episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi, asks for your undivided attention and it keeps you thoroughly entertained throughout. Everything about this drama, whether it is Bhola’s innocence, his mothers helplessness or Noori’s yearning for a perfect life, couldn’t have been shown more impressively on screen. All the leading characters have their own struggles and you find yourself completely engrossed in their stories. This was another well-paced and entertaining episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi which took Noori’s story further considerably.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 6 Story Review - Tough Times Ahead

Bhola Wants To Flee Again

All the scenes in this episode covering Bhola’s track showed how desperately he wanted to run away. From the first scene in which he talked to Komal about the love of his life to the last scene covering how he dreamed about running away, you couldn’t help but feel for both Bhola and his mother. This time Bhola, it seemed, was not talking about Mumtaz Begum but perhaps about Noori who he accidently met not once but twice. His mother was shown trying extra hard to ensure that he does not succeed in running away this time. Watching his mother stay up all night and singing lullabies was heart-wrenching. The scene in which Bhola accused her of being the evil step-mother and the ‘dil ka meil’ dialogue was extremely poignant. Imran Ashraf’s performance tonight was outstanding as usual. The attention to detail has been beyond impressive throughout. From the handkerchief that is neatly attached to his shirt with a safety pin to the facial expressions and hand movements which go so well with this character, everything about his performance has been brilliant. Asma Abbas is equally impressive as the mother who is trying her best to take care of a fully grown man like a baby. How often do we get to see the stories of such people on screen? Hardly ever! Most drama makers don’t even go there because everything from penning down such scripts to executing them is hard work but this drama definitely fits the bill. Bhola’s character has been written down so well. The way he is shown excited about running away because he feels there are better things outside and has no clue what repercussions such a step could have are traits which are common in individuals with such disorders.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 6 Story Review - Tough Times Ahead

Noori’s Love Story Takes A New Turn

So Sahir turned out to be just another character in the story who was looking for a happy ending and he also seemed quite willing to work for it too. Just when Noori’s love story was about to get the ending she wanted, Sahir’s arrest changed everything altogether. This development changed everything for Noori since she was truly desperate to get Sahir out of jail. The way she asked her Baji for money showed her desperation more than anything else. Her decision to go to the prison to meet Sahir was another foolish decision. Noori might act smart but the fact is that she has never really encountered a seriously dangerous situation and has no idea what all this can lead to. Every scene showed that even though Noori was good at covering up and telling lies but there was so much she needed to learn in life. The preview of the next episode showed that Noori will unfortunately learn these lessons the hard way. A big shout out to Iqra Aziz for acting superbly in this episode. You can see that she is not the least bit conscious about her looks and has given ever scene her best. The ill-stitched clothes go so well with the role she is playing.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 6 Story Review - Tough Times Ahead

Overall Impression

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is entertaining as well as poignant. You can’t help but fall in love with the leading characters in general and Bhola in particular. Even after all these weeks, Bhola continues to be the main attraction in the play. Anyone out there who has not tuned into this drama yet, should watch it ASAP!

The Preview

This episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi set the foundation for what is coming ahead. Noori’s malkan’s husband is not the saint he pretends to be. Noori is definitely not the kind of girl who will stay quite about all this therefore it is highly likely that she will be the one getting into trouble. I feel for Noori already, even with so much determination and such big dreams, she will ultimately have to face situations which will be beyond her control. Will Bhola manage to run away once again?

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 5 Story Review – Brilliant & Beautiful

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 5 Story Review – This was another brilliant and beautiful episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. This drama has some of the most unique, real, tangible and appealing characters. It also has the most phenomenal performances to its credit and the direction has been beyond amazing right from the get-go. You can’t help but fall in love with all the beautiful characters and their simple yet meaningful stories. Some of these characters are struggling to find an identity and others are either supporting them in some way or are a source of frustration.

A Mother’s Unconditional Love

Bhola and his mother’s relationship has been written and translated extremely beautifully on screen. The way Bhola “exploited” his mother’s love for him and the manner in which she was more than willing to forgive him even though she knew he was lying to her, was the perfect example of a mother’s love. Gradually, the viewers are being introduced to different aspects of their relationship. Bhola’s mother is just as clueless as Bhola himself. She feels that perhaps if Bhola gets married, he will no longer be as “careless” as he is now but Bhola it seems is a free bird who can never be caged no matter what. All of Bhola’s conversations with his mother were both amusing as well touching. His mother takes care of him and does whatever she can to make him feel loved and protected but Bhola cannot cope with the “limitations”. He cannot eat what he wants to when he is home, he cannot run outside and dance to the tunes he likes and he cannot be as dirty as he wants! When Bhola gets tired of the outside world, he knows he can come back and his mother will welcome him with open arms and when he cannot take the restrictions any more he just flees away. He follows his instinct and it won’t be wrong to say that like any other child, he takes his mother’s love for granted. He might go out of his way to get attention from Mumtaz Begum but he won’t do the same for his mother because he knows that he does not need to make an effort to keep that love in his mother’s heart alive.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 5 Story Review - Brilliant & Beautiful

Bhola and Noori Meet Again

These two magical characters met yet again and this time too their scenes were a treat to watch. Bhola and Noori both are the kind of people who speak their mind therefore their conversations are always very interesting. When these two are interacting with other characters, there are times when they are putting up a show or revealing only that side of their personality which they want other people to see but when they are with each other, their conversations are totally unfiltered. Noori is the only person who knows how Bhola feels about Mumtaz Begum, he opens up with her the way he does with no one else perhaps because he feels that Noori can be trusted. Noori on the other hand is either amused by Bhola or feels for him but she always enjoys his company. Iqra Aziz has also given an outstanding performance. She has breathed tangible life into this character and has surprised many viewers by her superb performance. Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz’s characters, their performances and their on-screen chemistry continues to be one of the many reasons why Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has two of the most exceptional main protagonists.

Noori Is Hopelessly In Love

Noori and Sahir’s scenes too have been written and executed on screen faultlessly. Although Noori is putting so much on stake by meeting Sahir the way she does and by dodging Qudsia but you don’t feel like “judging” her at all. Her love for Sahir, the way she expresses it and the lies she tells somehow always come across as innocent. I especially liked their conversation when Sahir called her “Noor” – the dialogues were so meaningful. They yet again showed how desperately Noori wanted/needed this kind of an acceptance. Sahir also loves Noori, something which was apparent from his reaction when he saw her with Bhola but he does not want to express this love. I absolutely love Jibran Syed’s casual and neat look for this role. He has underplayed his character and he keeps you wondering which adds to the mystery. You want to like this character but at the same time you’re not sure if you know him well enough!

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 5 Story Review - Brilliant & Beautiful

Family Dynamics

The family dynamics in Noori’s family have been well-established by now but the relationship dynamics between Bhola’s family members are being revealed gradually. Kashif Mehmood’s character is apparently Bhola’s father’s cousin and is working for Bhola’s mother because that is where they get their livelihood from. This means that Bhola’s mother is financially stable and Bhola is the sole heir of her property. The conversation between the husband and wife tonight was a nice way of laying down these dynamics in a nuanced manner. There was some greed or the instinct of looking out of your own interest in this conversation but the negativity was kept to the minimum. Noori’s mother finally discussed Shoka’s proposal with her and Noori’s reply was very satisfying – completely in line with her character.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 5 Story Review - Brilliant & Beautiful

Overall Impression

Tonight’s episode had a solid pace, there wasn’t a single scene which was out of place or unnecessary. Every single scene in this episode either took the plot forward in some way or revealed something new or interesting about the characters. The top-notch performances continue to impress even more with every passing episode. Imran Ashraf is definitely at the top of his game, he completely owns his character and the attention to detail shows in every scene. He makes the most difficult scenes look real and effortless. Iqra Aziz continues to outshine in a role which has so much to offer. Kashif Nisar never ceases to impress and Faiza Iftikhar’s script gives you so much to hold on to and to look forward to. She has given us the most amazing characters in the past too but Bhola in particular is simply out of this world. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is hands down the most exceptional play on air nowadays.

Please share your views about tonight’s episode.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 4 Story Review – Engaging & Powerful

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 4 Story Review – Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was yet another one which had it all, stellar performances from an extremely well-chosen cast, appealing and attractive dialogues, screenplay which does not leave anything to your imagination and superb direction which gives the story the perfect flow. Tonight’s episode also introduced the viewers to some of the other important supporting characters in the play. Sahir’s family continues to be a mystery therefore we can’t be sure if Sahir really is being honest.

Bhola and Noori’s Love Stories

Bhola and Noori both are in love with people who they don’t have a future with. While Noori dreamed of making it big one day so that she would be more ‘acceptable’ for Sahir’s family, Bhola stole his mother’s gold jewelry to please the only ‘woman’ he loves. With every passing episode, the similarities between these two characters are more obvious than ever. Their love stories are also similar in some ways; Bhola runs away from home to meet Mumtaz Begum and Noori does not want to go home because she cannot stay away from Sahir. Even though Bhola’s mother loves him but he feels like he belongs with Mumtaz Begum, Noori too never felt a sense of belonging towards her family but is willing to do anything to be part of Sahir’s life. Even after trying her best to be different from her family members and continuously looking down upon them because of their lifestyle as well as their profession, Noori cannot change the fact that her family will always be her identity. Sahir keeps you wondering since the viewers have not been introduced to his family just yet and he has never been shown thinking about everything that is happening. This was not the first time that Bhola stole something therefore it seems that Mumtaz Begum is using him.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 4 Story Review - Engaging & Powerful

Noori’s Persistence

Even after Sahir made it quite clear to Noori that they can never be together, she continued to stay in touch and was just as enthusiastic about this relationship as she was before. Noori is more than confident, she is over-confident and she is convinced that she has everything under control. She is a little lady with big dreams and she believes in herself probably more than she should. Noori does not even let reality checks like the one she got today stand in the way of her dreams. I must say that this was the first episode in which I looked forward to and enjoyed watching Noori’s story just as much as that of Bhola’s. Iqra Aziz’s exceptional performance, her entire look in this episode and the way this character has been etched-out makes Noori an enchanting character.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 4 Story Review - Engaging & Powerful

The Realities In Noori and Bhola’s Lives

The realities of Noori and Bhola’s lives are completely different from the lives they are continuously trying to live. No matter how much Noori criticizes the things she hates, the fact is that she won’t be able to do much if her parents decide to “sell/marry” her off to Shoka. Similarly, the meetings and conversations with Mumtaz Begum might give Bhola a temporary escape but in the process he unintentionally hurts the only person who really loves him – his mother. The way Bhola’s mother made excuses for him was heart-warming. She protected him while he was away even though she is constantly telling him off when he is with her – this reminded me of his “meeni” comment.

Mind-Blowing Performances

Imran Ashraf’s performance leaves you in awe of his brilliance every single time. This role is extremely challenging yet he gives all these expressions and delivers a faultless performance in such an effortless manner. Iqra Aziz continues to be at her best, her performance tonight was especially impressive. Syed Jibran has translated his character so well on screen that every scene he is a part of comes across as natural. The entire supporting cast is well-suited for every character they are playing but my favorite has to be Noor-ul-Hassan!

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 4 Story Review - Engaging & Powerful

Overall Impression

Tonight’s episode was heartfelt, well-paced and engaging. The performances were powerful as well as persuasive. This drama has so much to offer since Noori and Bhola’s stories are deep, meaningful, sensitive and extremely emotional. Although, these two people belong to a world very different from the one we live in yet they have the viewers’ undivided attention because their stories are so easy to connect to. Their naivety, frustrations, complexes and dreams have all been executed brilliantly on screen. Loved this episode and waiting impatiently for more. Watching this drama is like reading a beautiful book, you want to pause and absorb every single dialogue and moment so yes, I will be watching this episode one more time too.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 30 Story Review – Confrontations & Conflicts

Confrontations, promises, superstition and fears – this was yet another episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi which was filled with overpowering emotions. After the previous two episodes which focused entirely on different realizations, this one covered the decisions that the main characters made after the recent changes in their thinking. Tonight’s episode covered Noori’s confidence and the direction she had set for herself. The dialogues tonight were elaborate therefore understanding Noori’s frame of mind was easy. Fehmida is more fearful than ever and she has finally made a decision which will create another conflicting situation for Noori in particular. How will she get out of this one? Sahir is more desperate than ever and wants whatever he can get his hands on now. Just like every other drama written by Faiza Iftikhar, this one too has kept the suspense alive right till the end. There are still so many secrets which have yet to be revealed – Sahir and Noori’s relationship, Sahir’s background and Chacha’s evil planning. Noori still doesn’t know about the mannat. One of these secrets will be revealed in the next episode which is going to be the last episode of a drama which kept the viewers looking forward to more every single week.

Latest Developments

Tonight’s episode opened with an emotional scene which showed how Fehmida feared for Bhola’s life. While Bhola is happier than ever now but Fehmida is afraid that the fact that she did not fulfill the mannat might put his life and happiness at risk too. Asma Abbas and Imran Ashraf’s performances have been phenomenal throughout but they truly are at their best when they share these emotional moments. Later on, the accident Bhola had convinced Fehmida more than ever that she needed to make a decision soon. This accident was shown in the most misleading manner in the promo (which is always good) and I am actually glad that Nusrat was not the one who had an accident. The conversation between Fehmida and Noori suggested that Fehmida is planning to give Noori’s child to the peer as a compensation for breaking her promise. Every single incident tonight added something substantial to the story. Nusrat realized that he could easily convince Fehmida to give her grandchild away and he did just that. The fact that Nusrat always knew about this mannat and never tried to exploit Fehmida’s weakness was difficult to relate to especially because Fehmida has been sharing her fears with Rizwana for the past few weeks.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 30 Story Review - Confrontations & Conflicts

Bhola’s faith and love for his dulhan was also show through different scenes which were wonderfully acted-out and written. Iqra Aziz translated Noori’s confidence in the most apt manner, she looked like a different person altogether. Her body language has been beyond amazing in this drama. I especially liked the way Noori told Sahir off. Now that she has seen his real face, she cannot stand him and for the first time she truly appreciates the kind of love Bhola and Fehmida gave her. There was a time when Noori saw Bhola’s love as an inconvenience but now she sees it as a blessing. The change in Noori’s character has been the turning point we had all been waiting for and even though the odds are clearly against her, it is highly likely that Noori will come out as the winner in the end.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 30 Story Review - Confrontations & Conflicts

Komal and Rizwana were completely missing from this episode. Komal’s bond with Bhola has been one of the best things about this drama therefore it would have been great watching them together in these last few episodes. Ammara Butt has truly been a breath of fresh air as Komal, I am sure viewers would have liked to see more of her.

Final Remarks

The stage is set for the final confrontations and revelations. The performances, the screenplay and the treatment given to Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has been absolutely superb throughout. I am really looking forward to watching an ending which will be just as convincing, gripping and gratifying as this drama as a whole. Loved the dialogues tonight – deep, meaningful and heartwarming. Noori is turning out to be another one of Faiza Iftikhar’s unforgettable heroines and Bhola is most certainly one-of-a-kind, together they make the most unusual and lovable on-screen couple.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 3 Story Review – Take A Bow

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 3 Story Review- Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is turning out to be an exceptional serial which transports you in its beautiful world which is reality-stricken yet magical in its own special way. The unusual yet strikingly appealing main protagonists, their stories, their fascinating personalities and the faultless direction as well as performances which are amazingly powerful make it one of the most promising dramas of recent times. 3 episodes of this drama have gone on air so far and every episode has been more intense and engaging than the previous one.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 3 Story Review - Take A Bow

Bhola and Noori

Bhola’s scenes were the highlight of this episode as well. The way this character has been written and the manner in which Imran Ashraf has nailed it makes it an absolute delight to watch Bhola’s scenes. Although, Bhola’s bholapan as well as his naughtiness makes you laugh, it is also upsetting watching him being beaten by everyone. Bhola and Noori’s scene at the circus was shot beautifully. I was looking forward to watching these two together in more scenes but they went their separate ways after this scenes. Apparently Bhola runs away from home to meet Mumtaz Begum no matter where she is. Mumtaz Begum and the circus is an escape for Bhola who probably understands too well that he does not fit in anywhere else. Even though no one really understands Bhola and his mother is clearly sick and tired of him running away from home but so far we have seen a very candid side of Bhola. His remarks about his mother in the previous episode however showed that even though he is not like all the other people around him but he feels things the same way everyone else does. He is also observant and has a good memory because after being forced to bathe today, Bhola insisted that Noori should shake hands with him since he was “clean”. It is impossible not to fall in love with this character because it is so pure. Bhola is like a naughty child who is not scared of anything in the world. Noori and Bhola have one thing in common – they have yet to find out where they belong and they are both fearless. They are both constantly running away from their homes, while Noori is doing something productive when she is away from home, for Bhola it is only an escape.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 3 Story Review - Take A Bow

Noori Is In Love!

Noori’s dankay ki chot pe confession of love was absolutely delightful to watch. Her reaction after she found out that she was in love made her character even more likable. It also showed a very different side of her character. This girl who held her self-respect and dignity very dear went back to Sahir’s shop to see him even after he told her off. This basically showed that Noori is not the kind of girl who would let her ego stand in the way of her feelings. She is also intelligent enough to know that Sahir loves her but he is afraid to admit it. Sahir’s reaction was surprising as well, he is clearly fascinated by Noori and seems to be falling for her but either he is married or his circumstances will never allow him to marry her therefore he does not want to give her false hope. This is the first time that Noori has fallen in love but even then she made sure that she was certain about her feelings before she went and confessed her love. Iqra Aziz is finally playing a character which offers a lot of room for performance and she has simply given this character her best. Her eyes reflect Noori’s determination, the curiosity and her worries. I love Syed Jibran’s look for this character and his performance is always natural.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 3 Story Review - Take A Bow

Shoka Is A Ticking Bomb

Shoka loves Noori’s strong headed personality and every time she rejects him, he wants to make her his wife even more desperately. He is surely someone who will do whatever it takes to get his way and Noori’s parents are greedy enough to let him have his way if he pays them enough. Noor-ul-Hassan always gives an outstanding performance no matter what role he is playing. He nails both negative and positive characters effortlessly. His performance in this play too is superb.

Award-Winning Performances

This drama has some of the best performances we have seen in recent times. Bhola in particular is an exceptionally difficult role to translate on screen yet Imran Ashraf makes it look almost effortless. Although, Iqra Aziz’s performance has been faultless too but I find myself looking forward to Bhola’s scenes and he never disappoints.

Overall Impression

This episode was picture perfect in every way. Every scene was written and shot beautifully. The amazing team of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has given the viewers quite a few unforgettable moments in these 3 weeks. It was the kind of episode you want to watch over and over again. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is a must-watch play which should not be missed.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 29 Story Review – Change of Heart

What a beautiful turn of events, loved tonight’s episode and absolutely love the new turn the story has taken. Noori is completely in control but not entirely out of danger therefore there is no guarantee that there will be smooth sailing from here on. Tonight’s episode had so many deep, meaningful and emotional conversations to its credit. Faiza Iftikhar pens down the best dialogues and her screenplay always keeps your at the edge of your seat. Kashif Nisar has directed this drama remarkably well and all the actors have done complete justice to this beautiful script.

Powerful Scenes

Noori and Bhola’s scenes tonight were sweet, they reminded me of the time before Bhola took the overdose and attacked Noori. The way Noori’s change of heart has been shown is not only convincing but also very intelligently done. Few weeks back we couldn’t have imagined Noori taking this step. In fact even last week she was more than ready to leave everything and elope with Sahir. Sahir and Noori’s scene was one of the many powerful scenes tonight. Noori made sure Sahir knew that she was no longer on his side and her dialogues also clearly elaborated why she decided that she had to change her thinking and her priorities. Noori has always been a strong and determined woman, now she is all set to save Bhola. She knew exactly where to find him and it was good to see Mumtaz Begum in a different light in this episode. I would have liked to see more of him/her because the dialogues tonight suggested that Mumtaz Begum was fighting a battle as well and might have had a story to tell. This scene however summed Mumtaz Begum’s thinking and struggle up really well. I am glad though that the focus throughout has been on the main characters and the story never went off track.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 29 Story Review - Change of Heart

Noori, Bhola & Fehmida

The best part of this episode were Noori and Bhola’s scenes. Bhola instantly felt the change in Noori because this was no longer the same Noori who pushed him away and made him feel like he was not good enough. Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz were phenomenal in these scenes. Iqra Aziz’s expressions were superb throughout especially when Noori was reassuring Bhola of her support every time he was insecure. Imran Ashraf has owned his character throughout and it was especially good to see Bhola safe with Noori.

Fehmida finally put her foot down and was more protective of Noori than ever. Noori is a smart woman who knows how to get her way and Nusrat knows that only too well. That conversation Noori had with Fehmida made her think on those lines more than anything else. Now that Noori is expecting, Fehmida’s priorities have completely changed. She had Bhola after praying for a child for years, she loves Bhola dearly and probably never even dreamed of having a grandchild therefore the fact that Noori’s happiness right now comes before everything else makes perfect sense.

After Fehmida shared her final decision with Nusrat his reaction was actually quite interesting since he felt cheated. Actually he was furious that he was no longer in control but he played the victim. Nusrat should definitely be punished for his wrongdoings in the end.

Overall Impression

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi belonged to Noori, Bhola and Fehmida who after a long time looked like a complete family. This fight isn’t over yet, all the secrets are not out even now, Nusrat and Sahir are more desperate than ever but it looks like Noori’s will and determination is going to be the game changer. The preview of the next episode showed that Sahir is not going to back out this easily. Will Noori tell Nusrat everything she knows about his background? Looking forward to an ending which will make this enjoyable ride even more worthwhile. I would love to see Noori teaching children like her or running a school owned by Fehmida, her and Bhola for underprivileged children.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 28 Story Review – Realizations & Decisions

Tonight’s episode was one of the most important episodes of this drama since it didn’t only make Noori’s mindset more clear than ever but it also changed the course of the story altogether. The dialogues in particular were beautifully penned down and all the actors did complete justice to their respective roles. Iqra Aziz stole the show completely since Noori went through so many different emotions tonight – confusion, helplessness, ungratefulness, realizations, empathy and most importantly the maternal instinct because of which everything else in her life took a backseat.

Noori Is No Longer Confused

Noori’s pointless life has a real purpose now especially after she realized that Sahir was never the person she thought he was. He rejected her because in his opinion her character was flawed because she stole to save him yet he was the one who planned all this for his better future. Noori always wanted a better future but that never involved money, for her izzat came before everything else. Noori put her izzat at stake to save him and that incident was the only reason why she ended up doing something so drastic as a result of which she lost everything.

This episode changed my perspective of Noori’s character altogether, she has been foolish but Noori proved once again tonight that she is not vile and she is not greedy for money. She loved Sahir because she still believed that he loved her too but the way Sahir opened up completely in front of her made her question his intentions as well as his character. For the longest time, Sahir’s character was confusing but tonight it was quite clear to the viewers and to Noori that Sahir has always been a manipulative, greedy and selfish person who can do whatever it takes to get what he wants. Sahir has been getting away with everything he has done so far, he is a great planner and a master manipulator which is why he is clearly overconfident now. He was so certain that Noori will love him no matter what that he revealed himself completely to her. This is going to be the turning point in the drama because now it’s going to be Noori against Nusrat and Sahir now.

Ama Janate’s conversation with Noori tonight was one of the most beautiful scenes in this episode. Later on, Fehmida assured Noori of her support and when Noori heard Fehmida talk about Bhola with Rizwana, it made her see things from a different perspective. The flashback scene was used intelligently to show the change in Noori’s thinking.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 28 Story Review - Realizations & Decisions

The Mannat

It seems like Fehmida’s mannat involved leaving the child she gave birth to at the shrine. Her dialogues in this episode suggested that Fehmida was so desperate to have a child that she was willing to do anything therefore she made this commitment but never fulfilled it. Fehmida has always had a lot of faith in peers and mazars therefore she is convinced that she is being punished for not fulfilling her promise. Rizwana too is more negative than ever now because she knows that once Noori has the child, she is not going anywhere. She confused Fehmida further, made her feel guilty for not doing as she promised and as a result Fehmida rushed to the mazar yet again. The preview of the next episode suggested that Bhola might end up in the shrine but this could also be Fehmida’s nightmare.

Sahir and Nusrat’s Plans

Although Sahir said that Nusrat wanted Bhola dead now but Nusrat was never shown planning anything like that because surely that would be foolish since Bhola’s child would be the legal heir so there is no point killing Bhola. Nusrat was angry and more confused than ever tonight but would he actually be foolish enough to go along with Sahir’s plans? Sahir keeps on calling Nusrat ‘sharif’ perhaps because in his eyes he is not as evil as he himself is. For the longest time some of us were also thinking that Nusrat killed Bhola’s father but tonight it seemed like he couldn’t kill anyone. He is surely evil but perhaps not evil enough or maybe not desperate enough just now.

Overall Impression

The story is now headed towards an ending we can all look forward to. Noori has chosen to be a saviour and when Noori decides to do something she does it with all her heart. After a long time she is also thinking more clearly instead of letting her heart dictate to her. Syed Jibran is always outstanding in a negative character and his portrayal tonight too was right on point. This episode belonged to Iqra Aziz, Noori, completely. Bhola, Imran Ashraf, was sorely missed tonight since this drama is incomplete without Bhola. Waiting to see what Noori does next and I can’t wait to see her win this battle for herself, Bhola, Fehmida, her child and even for Komal.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 27 Story Review – Totally Unexpected

This drama is full of the most unexpected surprises and tonight’s episode had one such development in particular which was least expected. The way Fehmida supported Noori was the most unexpected development especially because she did not take a lot of time in making this decision. Most of the viewers were expecting Noori to get pregnant but the timing of this pregnancy is such that once again in a way fate has intervened and tried to save Noori from herself. Iqra Aziz’s riveting performance was the highlight of this episode since Noori went through so many different emotions tonight and Iqra Aziz translated all these emotions faultlessly on screen. Noori has absolutely no reason to be scared now, the secret is out and Fehmida is ready to accept her even after knowing everything yet Noori is still running after Sahir.

Important Developments

This episode opened with Noori making sure that Fehmida knew that she too was in some way responsible for the way Bhola treated her. Every single move made by Noori was well calculated and directed towards convincing Fehmida and Ama Janate that she was not safe in this house. Bhola once again ran away from home after a long time because he too felt threatened. Even though there was only one scene covering Bhola’s fears but this scene was extremely emotional. From here on the story focused entirely on Noori and Sahir. Although Fehmida’s reaction after finding out the truth was least expected but it was covered convincingly. Ama Janate always had a great influence on her and Fehmida also shares a close relationship with Noori. Apart from that, the most important reason for forgiving Noori and Ama Janate was that she knows how dependent Bhola is on Noori. Like Nusrat said that her mamta came before everything else.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 27 Story Review - Totally Unexpected

Ama Janate’s limitations and the reasons why she couldn’t take Noori back were also shown in a convincing manner. All the dialogues tonight were written so well because they helped the viewers understand the motives of different characters. When Ama Janate reminded Noori that she always held self-respect dearer than anything else, I was expecting to see a change in her but right till the end it was almost as if Noori was completely blinded by her love for Sahir. She seemed concerned for Bhola but only for a second when Komal told her how Bhola hurt himself.

Sahir’s dialogues once again clearly indicated that his izzat was the only thing which mattered to him. Noori questioned him as well but right now she is not analyzing the situation in a practical and wise manner. Somehow she sees Sahir as the knight in shining armor even though he is anything but that. Noori and Sahir’s conversation on the phone after Fehmida accepts Noori even after knowing her background was the only confusing conversation tonight. It is frustrating watching Noori act like such a fool. It is almost as if she is digging her own grave.

It was definitely good watching Fehmida own some of the mistakes she has made. It was however odd that Fehmida was not shown worrying about Bhola.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 27 Story Review - Totally Unexpected

Overall Impression

Even now, it is impossible to predict how this drama will end. Given the circumstances Noori does not deserve a happy ending but there is still hope that she might change her mind at some point. The preview of the next episode showed Sahir telling Nusrat that killing Bhola would be the best option. At the same time he told Noori that he was willing to accept her and her baby. Will Bhola fall prey to Nusrat and Sahir’s evil plans? How far will Noori go to attain her objectives? Will Noori have a change of heart before it’s too late? Bhola’s future depends more on Noori now than anyone else.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi continues to be the best example of perfect storytelling, there are twists and turns in every other episode which are surprising as well as convincing. Tonight’s episode, just like all the previous episodes, was directed brilliantly. Iqra Aziz, Imran Ashraf and Asma Abbas have been brilliant throughout.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 26 Story Review – Extremely Distressing

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was painful to watch. Watching Noori push Bhola to the edge so that she could get the reaction she wanted was truly heart-wrenching. Right now everyone is playing to win but Bhola is the only one who is happily willing to lose so that his dulhan does not leave him. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi continues to be highly unpredictable, Noori and Bhola’s journey is drawing to a close and it seems like there might not be any clear winners in the end. Imran Ashraf was the star of the show tonight, yet again. The way he has translated this extremely challenging character effortlessly and impeccably on screen is simply amazing. Iqra Aziz too makes her presence felt in every episode, her expressions tonight were on point.

Noori’s Mind Games & Bhola’s Helplessness

Noori has always tried to control her life in some way or the other but this time around in her desperation she cannot see right from wrong. In her fight for survival she exploited Bhola’s weaknesses and even though Bhola fought hard but he eventually ended up doing exactly what Noori wanted. It was extremely disturbing watching Noori execute her plan without any regard for Bhola or Fehmida. Even though Noori has been wronged and it is understandable why someone like her wouldn’t want to be with Bhola but trusting Sahir once again has to be the worst mistake Noori has made so far. It was difficult to understand why the medicines were not having the same affect, they had on Bhola before. There were many meaningful conversations tonight which revolved around winning and losing. These conversations showed that while Sahir calculated every little thing, Bhola’s only concern was to make his dulhan happy. Bhola’s state of mind was shown brilliantly on screen. These scenes were written and executed faultlessly.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 26 Story Review - Extremely Distressing

Even though Sahir said in the previous episode that he wanted to ‘rescue’ Noori but their conversations and his attitude tonight clearly showed that this was his fight and he wanted to win at all costs. Noori questioned him but he played hard to get which made Noori even more desperate. Noori always contributed more to this relationship than Sahir and now too things are the same.

Few weeks back Noori was willing to be Bhola’s ‘partner’ in some ways because she knew she had no place else to go and also there was a time when she compared Bhola’s love for her to that of Sahir’s. After Bhola’s violent moves and especially Nusrat finding out about Noori’s past, she feels that leaving Bhola is the only way out. She did not really need to rely on Sahir the way she did in order to do that but unfortunately for now she wants a future with Sahir.

Bhola’s scenes tonight were so difficult to watch that there were times when I wanted to forward these scenes. Komal’s unconditional love for Bhola has always been a breath of fresh air. No matter what happens, Komal is always there to support him, to cover up for him. Fehmida too once again supported her son even though she knew in her heart that what he did was awfully wrong. Asma Abbas’ expressions and performance never fails to impress. She translates Fehmida’s embarrassing moments exceptionally well on screen.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 26 Story Review - Extremely Distressing

The Preview

The preview of the next episode was extremely enticing. Ama Janate will visit and that’s when Rizwana will tell Fehmida everything she knows about Noori’s background. Noori it seems will go back to the village with Ama Janate. Will Sahir betray Noori once again? How will Bhola cope without his dulhan? Has Noori successfully dug her own grave? Will Fehmida ever find out what Nusrat has been doing all these years? Will Fehmida eventually take Noori back because of her son? Waiting to find out. There are so many possibilities even now. I hope that this drama won’t have a terribly tragic ending.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 25 Story Review – The ‘Escape’ Plan

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi had yet another development which changed the course of the story altogether. It was truly disturbing watching Noori’s character take this turn. Noori had the same energy and drive tonight which it seemed had been lost. Noori has always been a survivor, a fighter but so far she has not harmed someone physically to get what she wants. Tonight however she seemed more desperate than ever and this time around she resorted to measures which showed a negative streak which was never there before. Bhola’s ‘love’ for his dulhan and Fehmida’s complete reliance on Noori was also shown through different scenes. Tonight’s episode was powerful, emotional and disturbing. Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf’s phenomenal performances were the highlight of this episode.

Noori and Sahir’s Plan

The outcome of Noori and Sahir’s meeting tonight came as a complete surprise – definitely not a pleasant one. These scenes reminded me of Noori and Sahir’s early meetings when Noori started to trust him blindly. Sahir’s attitude however suggested that he was after the status and money. The fact that he was so calculated and asked Noori to wait went to show that he was not willing to give up everything for Noori. This wasn’t the first time that Noori suggested that they should run away, she always wanted to run away with Sahir even before but he never agreed.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 25 Story Review - The 'Escape' Plan

Noori went ahead with their plan immediately but at the same time had a lot of questions in her mind. Iqra Aziz’s expressions and overall performance tonight was exceptional throughout. She translated Noori’s desperation, her confusion, the guilt, the negativity and the strong instinct of self-preservation perfectly on screen. Noori finally figured out tonight that the medicines Bhola was taking were doing more harm than good. The reaction of the medicines baffled her but it did not stop her from following Sahir’s instructions. Just how desperate is Noori right now? I am waiting to find out. Until the previous episode it seemed like Sahir’s character may turn out to be the antihero but after this episode and the preview of the next episode, it is quite clear that Sahir is only looking out for himself. He does not want Noori to take a divorce but he wants Bhola to die, perhaps because he also wants Bhola’s share of wealth and not just Noori’s companionship.

Noori and Bhola

Noori did not only overdose Bhola but also tortured him mentally to get a reaction from him. While Bhola continued to express his love for Noori and reminded her that he could not live without her, Noori was more than tired of babysitting her husband. Noori was constantly distracted and in her mind she was devising a plan to get out of this house and the marriage. There were times when it seemed like Noori might change her course after the way Bhola reacted when she was hurt and the way Fehmida trusted her but right till the end Noori’s focus did not change. Noori and Bhola’s scenes once again showed how complicated their relationship was. No matter how much Bhola loved or depended on Noori, he could never be the perfect partner for her since Bhola’s expectations from this relationship were very different from that of Noori’s. Bhola wants unconditional love and Noori wants companionship.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 25 Story Review - The 'Escape' Plan

You couldn’t help but feel for Bhola and blame his mother for not being responsible enough. While Fehmida focuses on minor things like making Bhola’s favorite dishes and keeping him clean, she trusts other people completely with more important things like his medicine. If Fehmida was more aware of Bhola’s mental health and did not trust Nusrat blindly, things would have been different.

Overall Impression

I had so many questions in my mind after watching this episode since even now the story can take so many different turns. Will Noori change her mind once she finds out what Sahir and Nusrat’s actual intentions are or will she decide to ‘help’ them? Even after watching this episode, it is difficult to imagine Noori being part of such a vicious plan. Also, I don’t expect Faiza Iftikhar to be this predictable. Will Bhola’s end be more tragic than we imagined? Will Noori ultimately be the savior or the tormentor? Will Sahir use Noori once again and run away when she is in trouble? Why is Noori being so foolish? Right now, it is highly likely that things will only get worse before they get better. I am getting anxious now and can’t wait to find out how this drama ends.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 24 Story Review – The Blackmail

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi covered how the relationship dynamics changed after Noori found out that Nusrat knew her background. It was difficult for Noori to comply yet she had no choice. Noori’s puzzled frame of mind, the affects the medicines had on Bhola and Sahir’s new role in this entire situation was covered convincingly. This episode laid the foundations for more important future developments. Imran Ashraf continues to impress, his performance has been faultless. Iqra Aziz makes her presence felt in every single scene even though there are times when you want to know more about what is going on in Noori’s mind.

New Developments

The tables turned today when Chacha told Noori that he knew everything about her background. Nusrat used this information to stop Noori from ‘interfering’ and from asking questions, Noori didn’t have a choice and had to conform. All these scenes covering how Nusrat made sure Noori knew who was in control and Noori’s helplessness were brilliantly executed. The outcome of Bhola’s visit to the doctor was quite similar to the last visit. Noori’s reaction when she looked at his medicines clearly suggested that these were the same medicines Bhola was given previously. Bhola’s innocence once again reflected from the scene when he teased Noori before going to the hospital. This was surely not the first time that Chacha took him for an ‘unpleasant’ outing yet he was thrilled. In one of the previous episodes when Bhola was uncontrollable, Nusrat gave him medicine and pretended to be really concerned about him, he has executed his plan very intelligently by making Bhola trust him just as much as his mother does.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 24 Story Review - The Blackmail

Tonight, Nusrat’s behavior should have made Noori question what he was hiding, why he felt so insecure and why did these medicines have this affect on Bhola. Is Noori thinking on these lines or not? I am waiting to find out. Right now, the only thing on Noori’s mind is her survival. She cannot stand to have the husband-wife relationship with Bhola but after everything Fehmida said to her in the previous episode, she knows she cannot say no to Bhola. At the same time Noori wants to continue living in this house which basically means that she is willing to pay the ‘price’ for it even though it is killing her inside! The preview of the next episode suggested just that.

Quite tactfully, Sahir let Nusrat know that he was on his side and willing to help. Even now, one can’t be sure what Sahir’s real intentions are. Is he really so greedy that he will help Nusrat give Bhola the wrong medicine or he just wants to gain Nusrat’s trust and know exactly what he has been doing all these years? The medicines he gave Nusrat were probably the ones which were prescribed in the prescription he had with him earlier therefore he did not add anything new there. Shakooran’s questions tonight and what Fehmida said about a ‘bud dua’ in one of the previous episodes suggested that there is still something we don’t know about Bhola’s background perhaps.

Noori decided to meet Sahir and the preview of the next episode suggested that she went there to share her fears and troubles with Sahir. Why did Noori choose to lean over Sahir and did not turn to Ama Janate for help and advice? Was this her way of retaliating? Noori could call Ama Janate just as easily without getting into trouble but she decided to meet Sahir. I am waiting for Ama Janate to be back in the picture since she is the only one Fehmida will ever listen to.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 24 Story Review - The Blackmail

Overall Impression

This episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was disturbing and relatively slow-paced. I have been missing Komal and Noori’s conversations in particular. The focus right now is on Noori and her decision ultimately will determine what turn Bhola’s life takes. Sahir’s character keeps you wondering still because he is the only one whose intentions are not clear even now. Like every other episode of this drama, this one too had some brilliant performances to its credit. Waiting to find out what happens next.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 23 Story Review – Unforgettable Journeys

Detailed, convincing, realistic, and unpredictable – this was yet another engaging episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi which covered all the tracks perfectly. All the characters except for Bhola and Komal are now completely involved in achieving their own ends. Their fight for survival and success was covered interestingly in this episode. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’s beautiful, complex and relatable characters have come far and they have most certainly taken their viewers on an unforgettable journey. This journey is headed towards an ending which I am pretty sure will be just as surprising as all the twists and turns in this drama so far.

The Journeys

Tonight’s episode covered Noori’s futile efforts to hide her past and her growing annoyance with Bhola. Noori is enjoying and loves the ‘respect’ she is getting but there are times when she forgets that she only has this status because she is Bhola’s wife. Fehmida’s conversation with Noori in this episode served as a reality check and clearly indicated that if Noori continued to deny Bhola the ‘husband status’ Fehmida will take away the ‘beti’ status from Noori. For Fehmida naturally her son’s happiness comes before everything else. This was one of the many realistic conversations tonight which were so easy to connect to.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 23 Story Review - Unforgettable Journeys

Bhola and Noori’s scenes tonight were a lot like the scenes which covered the initial few weeks of their marriage. There was a time when Noori had started to feel comfortable around Bhola, she even started comparing Bhola with Sahir and thought that Bhola was better than Sahir but now that Bhola wants more from this relationship than Noori is willing to give, Noori’s attitude once again has changed. Noori distancing herself from Bhola is understandable since she does not love him but then she enjoys all the ‘perks’ like she deserves it. Noori and Sahir’s scene clearly suggested that Noori was only there to make sure that Sahir leaves her alone. The apology and Sahir’s insistence that he wanted Noori back in his life ‘distracted’ her more than anything else. So far, it does not seem like Noori wants Sahir back or that she is happy that he wants her back. She is more focused on convincing Sahir to leave her alone.

Noori is once again disgusted by Bhola but she also likes the fact that she has everything she dreamed of once. Noori is just as selfish as everyone else in this play and the fact that she isn’t holier-than-thou makes her character even more appealing. Bhola and Komal are the two people who are the real victims right now. Komal has no idea what is going on and no matter how hard Bhola tries he cannot win his dulhan over. It was heart-wrenching watching Bhola stay up all night crying while Noori couldn’t care less but it was good to see that he shared every minute detail with his mother. Nusrat’s character has been etched-out perfectly too. He is shrewd and every single step he took tonight showed that he really was a ‘player’.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 23 Story Review - Unforgettable Journeys

Sahir’s desperation tonight suggested that he was after the status and money alone. On the one hand he begged Noori to take him back and on the other he used the information his friend gave him to his advantage. The preview of the next episode suggested that he will give Nusrat medicines for Bhola probably to make his condition worse since he told Noori that he cannot bear to see her with anyone else. None of these people are thinking about Bhola but all of them want to use him in some way or the other. The scene covering Chachi’s visit to Noori’s village was one of the best scenes tonight. The way she found out about Noori was interesting.

Overall Impression

The story, the performances and the execution continue to be spell-binding. After watching this episode I feel for Bhola more than anyone else. While everyone else can fight for what they want, Bhola is completely helpless. He is clearly in love with his ‘dulhan’ but Noori cannot stand to be around him anymore. Noori’s approach has been extremely practical and she is only looking out for her own self right now. While one cannot blame Noori for not wanting to be around Bhola after what happened, you also cannot help feeling for Bhola who has been tied down in a relationship which has only increased his anxiety and troubles. The top-notch performances by Imran Ashraf, Iqra Aziz, Asma Abbas and Syed Jibran in particular make this drama a treat to watch.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 22 Story Review – Exceptional

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was extremely enticing, fast-paced and brilliantly put together. This episode also had some of the most important developments as well as few of the best scenes we have seen so far. There are very few dramas which continue to be as engaging as this one even after so many weeks.

Important Scenes

Tonight’s episode opened with Noori thinking about her past while she held the keys which were handed over to her by Fehmida. This flashback scene truly was nostalgic and one of the most meaningful scenes we have seen in this drama. It was well written and brilliantly executed – perfect example of effective screenplay. Noori’s character has always been layered and this time around the viewers saw a different side of her character. For the first time Noori actually felt that she finally had everything she was running after all her life – a special status in the society and the respect that came with it. The fact that Noori never considered the wealth she had now but for her the respect she was getting was more important made this entire development refreshing. Fehmida’s ‘compensation’ definitely worked because it made Noori feel good about herself and her turbulent journey all of a sudden seemed worthwhile.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 22 Story Review - Exceptional

This happiness however was temporary because after the meeting with Sahir, Noori was faced with yet another conflict. The only man she had ever loved was back in her life and this time he wanted to ‘save’ her. Sahir reminded her of the shortcomings in her life – something she was quite aware of already but probably wanted to forget about for some time. After meeting Sahir, Noori went straight to the doctor which basically showed that she was still focused on her marriage and was not swayed away by Sahir’s charm just yet. The way Noori looked at Sahir when he and Komal came face to face suggested that she was jealous and angry.

Sahir’s first meeting with Bhola was also covered in a brilliant manner. Sahir was both shocked and disgusted. Bhola’s dialogues and the situations tonight were quite amusing. These scenes intelligently showed Bhola’s innocence as well as his possessiveness and insecurities. Sahir is more eager than ever to find out which medicines Nusrat is giving Bhola after listening to his conversation with the doctor. It remains to be seen what Sahir is going to go with the information he gets from his friend regarding these medicines. Noori was not shown thinking about the reasons why Nusrat never went to the same doctor and why he lied to her. She confronted him but even now she has no clue that Nusrat actually does not want Bhola to get well. Another important development in this episode was the chachi finding out where Ama Janate lived. Nusrat and his wife want to know more about Noori and the preview of the next episode suggested that they might get a lead. The flashback scene in the beginning also highlighted the fact that someone like Fehmida would never even allow a girl like Noori inside her kitchen.

Overall Impression

The story still has so much to offer and there are so many different possibilities. Sahir, Noori, Fehmida and Nusrat are few of the characters which will ultimately determine where the story goes from here. Fehmida will at some point find out about Noori’s background and she will feel cheated. The preview of the next episode suggested that Noori will once again start treating Bhola the same way she did in the beginning. There were many scenes in this episode which served so many different purposes and did so with precision. This episode was meaningful, emotional and thoroughly entertaining.

The screenplay and performances make Ranjha Ranjha Kardi one of the best dramas this year. Iqra Aziz is absolutely phenomenal as Noori, Imran Ashraf’s effortless portrayal of a character which must have been really challenging to translate on screen never fails to impress and Syed Jibran continues to be convincing. This is not an easy story to tell but everyone involved has given it their best. Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was exceptional in every way possible.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 21 Story Review – Survival Comes First

Contrary to everyone’s expectations, the focus tonight wasn’t on Bhola’s deteriorating health or Noori’s frame of mind but the focus quickly shifted to Noori and Sahir’s track. The issue of marital rape and Bhola beating up his wife was brushed under the carpet completely. Noori’s practical approach and strength this time around was unreal at times mainly due to the fact that Noori did not even once think about what had happened. Noori’s survival instinct has always been strong but it seems like it is stronger than ever now because she knows that she has nowhere to go and no one to turn to. Noori’s thought process and her actual feelings were covered only in two scenes. Yet again, the recent shift in the story was surprising in many ways. Noori went from being scared of Bhola to confronting him by the end of this episode.

Important Scenes

Noori and Fehmida’s reaction gave everything that happened in the previous episode a completely different turn. The fact that Bhola was extremely violent with Noori was not addressed as an issue at all. Instead, Fehmida questioned Noori’s love for Bhola and tried to make her ‘understand’ that it was perfectly normal for Bhola to make these advances. Fehmida obviously belongs to the old school of thought, something which has been well established so far therefore even though I was expecting her to ‘protect’ Noori, her endorsement of a husband forcing himself on his wife was completely in line with her character. The fact that the physical abuse otherwise was not discussed at all by either Noori or Fehmida was definitely disappointing.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 21 Story Review - Survival Comes First

The scene covering Noori and Sahir’s meeting was the most anticipated scene yet it was not executed flawlessly. Noori was soaking wet outside but by the time she got in, her hair and clothes were dry. Syed Jibran and Iqra Aziz acted really well in this scene because the shock and confusion was quite obvious from their expressions. Noori’s conversation with Komal clearly suggested that Sahir’s reappearance in her life was like a nightmare for her. Sahir on the other hand envied Noori, at first he thought Noori was the maid but later on when he found out that she was the wife of the only son who was the sole heir of all the wealth, he was sure Noori had hit a jackpot. Sahir always wanted to be rich and even now he cannot look beyond the status of this family therefore he looks at everything only from this perspective. He was more than ready and simply ecstatic to be a part of this family and had absolutely no issue being the ‘ghar damad’.

Tonight, Sahir did not come across as someone who would do anything for anyone selflessly. This character keeps you guessing, it has always been like this and that is the main reason why it is impossible to predict what his actual intentions are. Is he just a little greedy; an average man who wouldn’t mind having an easy access to someone’s wealth by marrying their daughter or is he someone who actually respects Nusrat enough to feel privileged to be part of his family? The only thing obvious in this episode was that he went from being ecstatic to being really confused and in shock after finding out Noori was the bahu. Every time Noori met Sahir, she did not and was not asked to cover her head which was rather odd since the conservative and rigid rules of the house were spelled out clearly in the previous episodes.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 21 Story Review - Survival Comes First

The change in Bhola’s personality – from aggressive and agitated to sleeping all the time – was another development which made you wonder why all of a sudden the affect of the medicines he took last night and in the morning again, wore off so quickly. After what Bhola did to Noori, Noori clearly does not want to give him any more of these medicines. Noori figured out that this recent change in Bhola’s personality was due to the medicines and chose to lie to Nusrat.

Fehmida gave her house keys to Noori and the way Noori looked at these keys was definitely meaningful. It is difficult to figure out whether Noori took this as a responsibility she was going to keep or an opportunity to start over. So far, Noori has not exploited her position in this house even once therefore it is quite likely that this will probably be nothing more than a ‘warning’ sign for Nusrat who will get more insecure.

What’s Next?

The preview of the next episode showed that Sahir will finally meet Bhola as well. His thinking regarding Noori’s ‘perfect’ life will change after this meeting. Noori will question Nusrat about Bhola’s medicines and his wife will probably tell him that Noori is now incharge of the house keys. That’s when Nusrat will start feeling even more threatened from Noori once again. Waiting to find out more about Noori’s actual feelings and wondering if the survival instinct will ever take a backseat in Noori’s life.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 20 Story Review – Shocking & Distressing

Tonight’s episode was extremely disturbing because things took a turn for the worse for Noori in particular. Whatever happened tonight was shocking as well as distressing. Noori and Bhola’s track went from being innocent and cute to ugly and dark. Until last week it seemed like love was the answer to Bhola’s condition but with this episode it became quite clear that Bhola needed proper treatment more than anything else. The realistic approach of the writer coupled with phenomenal performances made this episode even more unsettling.

Noori Is In Deep Waters

This episode focused entirely on how the medicines which Bhola was taking made his anxiety spin out of control. His ‘friends’ also played their role in upsetting him further by putting the wrong ideas in his mind. The irony was that Bhola was taking these medicines regularly so that his dulhan would love him more but they had the opposite effect. The clarity with which every little detail was covered tonight made it easier to understand all these situations and feel for Noori more than any other character. Noori has been really strong and positive but tonight she faced a situation far worse than any other. The scenes covering Noori’s futile attempts to make Bhola happy and entertained showed clearly how tough Noori’s new role was. After what happened tonight, I can even picture Noori and Sahir together in the end.

For the first time it felt like Noori was alone. among strangers and she was not safe in this house. Tonight, Bhola’s mother was not there to calm him down every time he got violent. Noori thought she could ‘handle’ this situation on her own therefore she did not share anything with her. This also made me wonder why she couldn’t see the bruises on Noori’s face and why wasn’t she intervening.

Bhola Turns Into A Monster

I am certain I am not the only one who was rooting for Noori all through this episode. For the first time, I wanted Noori to pick up her things and leave. The medicines Nusrat gave Bhola had the affect he wanted them to have. The character everyone fell in love with, sadly turned into a monster today. Kashif Nisar’s skillful direction showed particularly in the scene which covered how Bhola violated Noori mercilessly.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 20 Story Review - Shocking & Distressing

Rizwana’s character is turning out to be one of my favorites because she is the perfect grey character. While she wants to leave the house and have a better future, she was not happy to hear Nusrat’s plans tonight. Also, if she ever finds out that Nusrat is responsible for making Bhola’s condition worse, she will not support him. Same is true for Sahir who was more shocked than happy when Nusrat shared his ‘grand plan’ with him. Sahir’s conversation with his sister showed that he respected Nusrat a lot therefore when and if he finds out the truth he will no longer support his boss the way he is doing right now.

What’s Next?

There are so many questions in my mind after watching this episode. How will Noori continue to support and look after Bhola after what happened? Living under the same roof with Bhola itself should be a challenge from now on. Will Sahir eventually be the one to make everything right? Will everything ever be right? Noori definitely deserves a good ending since she has fought a long and hard battle. The story is more complicated than ever now and it is impossible to predict what will happen next.

The preview of the next episode showed that Sahir and Noori will finally meet. They will finally meet at a time when Noori will be going through a really tough time. She has not forgotten Sahir, now it remains to be seen whether she considers him a mistake or is still in love with him! Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf’s mind-blowing performances continue to impress. The possibilities are endless, can’t wait to see what happens next.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 2 Story Review – Powerful & Entertaining

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 2 Story Review  – This second episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was spell-binding. Imran Ashraf’s brilliance as an actor who loves playing challenging roles reflected in every single scene tonight. Loved everything about tonight’s episode from Bhola’s innocence to his honesty. Noori’s sense of superiority and her relentless faith in herself were equally interesting to watch.

Is Noori In Love?

In this episode, the viewers were shown how well-settled Noori was in her new abode in just a few days. Noori was always a misfit in her house therefore being in a new place which was clean and where she got respect was like a dream come true for her. The way Noori reacted when she saw her room in the haveli pretty much summed up her frame of mind. Noori dreaded going back home and the fact that she went to Ama Janate’s house first went to show that she did not miss anything about her own house – not even her parents. Noori’s character is intriguing more than anything else because on the one hand she is constantly judging her parents and does not even like being around them and on the other she is already dreaming about a man she just met. So far Noori seems like a practical girl who dreams of a better future therefore watching Noori fall for a man so quickly makes me wonder if the sole reason for this is that this man fits into her idea of the perfect future. Syed Jibran’s impression in this episode was somewhat different from his first impression. It seemed like he was fascinated by Noori but then his first comment after seeing Noori is hard to ignore.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 2 Story Review - Powerful & Entertaining

Ama Janate and Noori’s Scenes

Ama Janate and Noori’s scenes tonight were just as meaningful as they were the previous week. Ama Janate keeps on telling Noori to value her parents and to be more grounded. Even though Noori respects Ama Janate more than anyone else she knows but even then none of her advices have any affect on her. Noori is very certain that her perspective is right therefore she does exactly what she has planned. She wants to help her parents but at the same time she plans to save money.

Bhola and Noori Meet

Bhola’s character, the way the introductory scene was written as well as executed was simply amazing. The scene in the bus was hilarious, Bhola’s innocence and the naughty-fun side of his personality was all revealed at once. Bhola and Noori’s first meeting was touching especially because of the way Bhola explained why his mother was mean. This scene was emotional and slightly disturbing too. It also showed just how clever, sensitive and observant Bhola was. This scene completely won me over!

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 2 Story Review - Powerful & Entertaining

Overall Impression

Bhola and Noori are the kind of characters we see around us all the time in real life but they are the people we choose to ignore mostly. This drama makes you want to pause and think about all such people, I guess that is what makes it a bit disturbing too. These “unimportant” people too have stories to tell which are just as relevant and important as the stories of people who makes it to social media and the newspapers. Imran Ashraf completely stole the show tonight – something tells me that Bhola is going to make us laugh and cry at the same time. Iqra Aziz totally owned her character tonight. It is definitely good watching her play this role. Noori and Bhola both have a great deal to offer. Noor-ul-Hassan is another phenomenal actor who nails every character he plays. His interest in Noori means more trouble for her…how will she get out of this one?

The Preview

The preview of the next episode suggested that Noori will propose to the man of her dreams herself. The preview also showed Bhola taking Noori to the circus where she will meet Mumtaz begum!

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 19 Story Review – The Awesomeness Continues

This was yet another thoroughly entertaining episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi filled with meaningful conversations. Apart from a screenplay which continues to be appealing and enticing even after 19 weeks, the dialogues have been written beautifully. These dialogues capture the beauty of Urdu language and at the same time never sound artificial. The exchanges between different characters are always meaningful. Even the most ‘amusing’ scenes covering Bhola’s innocence give further insight into the character and make the viewers connect with this character. The conversations in this episode too added to the story and gradually all the plots are moving forward to a different direction.

Meaningful and Entertaining

Every single scene tonight was a treat to watch since it added something new to the story, some of these scenes created suspense and made you wonder how the story will unfold in the future. Tonight’s episode opened with Sahir’s meeting with Fehmida and Komal, a conversation which later on made Noori think about Sahir once again. Bhola’s failed attempt to apologize was amusing but at the same time it showed how Rizwana’s words hurt Bhola. Noori’s comforting words were taken equally seriously by him and everything which Bhola said made Noori feel uncomfortable. Chacha’s conversation with the doctor this time around clearly showed that there was definitely foul play there. Nusrat is getting more desperate since he is not used to being held accountable for his actions. Fehmida trusts this man blindly and till now he has been getting away with everything. Now all of a sudden, Noori questions his actions and also wants to be an active part of decision making especially when it comes to Bhola.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 19 Story Review - The Awesomeness Continues

The Best Scenes

I really enjoyed watching Sahir’s scenes tonight since they piqued my curiosity and made it impossible to predict how he will change the dynamics of the story in the future. Sahir kept you guessing as usual, he came across as a genuinely nice person when he was talking to Fehmida. He did not even look at Komal once or showed interest in her. When he heard Nusrat talking to the doctor on the phone, he looked worried. Most importantly, he is never shown trying extra hard to make Nusrat’s family like him nor does he take interest in matters which do not concern him but at the same time he is wise enough to guess when something is not right. Syed Jibran has given this character the right treatment by underplaying it. He does not give you a lot of reasons to dislike Sahir and you have to constantly remind yourself that this is the same man who betrayed Noori.

Noori and Fehmida’s scenes are always the highlight of every episode. These two understand and respect each other more than anything else. Tonight, when Fehmida asked Noori to apologize to Nusrat, she did not argue with her. The highlight of this episode was Fehmida asking Noori if she wanted to study further. The viewers were eagerly looking forward to watching Noori continue her education therefore this was the best part of this episode.

Komal and Noori’s scenes were also beautifully put together. In one of these conversations, Noori was reminded of Sahir and in the other one she explained in detail the lessons she had learnt from her relationship with Sahir.

Well-Developed Characters

All the characters in this play continue to be real, solid, nuanced as well as multifaceted. Each character has a specific goal, a purpose and every little detail about these characters has been translated on screen with utmost clarity. These characters have not only been etched-out perfectly by the writer but the actors playing these roles have breathed tangible life in them.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 19 Story Review - The Awesomeness Continues

Outstanding Performances

Imran Ashraf has added different dimensions to his character by making sure that no scene is ever flat. Iqra Aziz has been extremely impressive as Noori especially because Noori’s character has so many different sides. Asma Abbas is exceptionally graceful and likable as Fehmida. Syed Jibran, Ammara Butt and Munazzah Arif ‘s performances tonight were also right on point as usual. Kashif Nisar deserves a lot of credit for keeping these performances real and impactful throughout. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi just gets better with every passing episode because it has so much to offer. It seems like the new medicine Nusrat is giving Bhola will make things even more difficult for everyone involved.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 18 Story Review – A Love Like No Other

I have to admit that this is not the kind of drama you can write about immediately after watching a new episode. This drama is truly spell-binding and it transports you to another world – the world of Bhola and Noori – where love happens in the most unexpected ways. You need time to absorb all the minute details which always add something tangible to the story. There are always few surprises in store which even after all these weeks make you look forward to the next episode. Faiza Iftikhar has truly outdone herself this time around and Kashif Nisar’s superlative direction never ceases to impress. Imran Ashraf deserves all the praise in the world for his outstanding performance throughout and Iqra Aziz makes her presence felt in every single scene.

Bhola and Noori

Tonight’s episode was emotional and intense in so many ways. Noori is gradually realizing what she means to Bhola and her attitude in this episode; the physical closeness and the level of comfort she feels around Bhola, changed considerably. She has gone from doing what needed to be done to forming a close bond with Bhola. This episode also focused on Bhola’s over-dependence on Noori, his love for her and his emotional state – he cannot imagine a life without his dulhan and will do anything to please her and to make her stay. Noori understands Bhola and their scenes together have been an interesting combination of realistic as well fantastical. It is a strange union which has come alive on screen brilliantly because of the beautifully etched-out characters, a convincing screenplay, the most impeccable direction and performances which leave you in awe of the actors who never fail to impress. Bhola ran away from home distressed and confused, was distracted by the pakoras and eventually came back perhaps because staying away from home for too long was no longer an option.

Bhola and Noori’s scene after he came back, the dialogues and the performances were absolutely phenomenal. Was Noori equally frightened of losing Bhola? Was it because she felt a connection with him or because she felt protecting him was her duty? This is the first time that Noori has been loved so unconditionally therefore for her this is something brand new for her. She loved Sahir madly, did something outrageous to bail him out yet he did not value her and now there is someone in her life who is willing to do anything to make stay. Noori is valued in her new house in so many ways like she has never been valued before, surely she will not take all this affection for granted.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 18 Story Review - A Love Like No Other

Sahir Meets The Family

Sahir’s meeting with his boss’ family was coincidental and it showed how much Nusrat trusted him. It is quite clear now what Nusrat is planning and so far Sahir is only doing whatever he is expected to do. He obviously has no idea that Nusrat has something else planned for him. When Sahir was driving the chachi home, he figured out through their conversation that the women in that house were expected to abide by certain strict rules. He will sooner or later meet Noori and wonder how she ended up being part of a family in which women are not even allowed to keep mobile phones. Also, the fact that Nusrat trusts Sahir around his family goes to show his blind faith in him. He has a shoddy past too and no one knows more than Noori that he should not be trusted. The future episodes in which these two meet are going to be really interesting. Noori thinks about Sahir often enough but it is highly unlikely that someone like Noori will trust Sahir again.

Nusrat and Noori’s Scenes

Nusrat feels really uncomfortable around Noori since he does not like the fact that she notices everything and has the guts to question him as well. She once again questioned him about the doctor and this scene also suggested that Nusrat definitely has been giving Bhola the wrong medicines. The purpose of this visit probably was to start giving him those medicines again. Noori is bound to find out the truth sooner or later.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 18 Story Review - A Love Like No Other

Overall Impression

Watching Komal worry about Bhola even after what he had done, made her character even more likable. Bhola’s apology and the scenes with his mother were emotional. Asma Abbas has acted exceptionally well throughout, her expressions when Nusrat walked in and Bhola ran away were priceless. While she felt embarrassed because of what Bhola did, she also pleaded his case. Her character has been written and acted-out beautifully, every mother out there must see a part of herself in Fehmida. Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was phenomenal, I will definitely watch it one more time. This drama always gives you so much to reflect upon. It has some of the most amazing characters and few of the most exceptional performances.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 17 Story Review – The Best

This drama never disappoints, it actually gets more interesting and engaging with every passing episode. The phenomenal performances by all the actors involved and the realistic scenes transport you to another world. The beautifully etched-out, deep and layered characters which were introduced convincingly in all the previous episodes are now coming into their own. Noori has slowly turned into the most significant character in the story and you can’t help but fall in love with her over and over again. This level-headed, intelligent and sensible girl is only slightly different from the Noori, the viewers were introduced to initially. The way Noori let Nusrat know that he did not fool her was extremely satisfying. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is turning out to be Noori’s story more than anything else, she is the one who drives the main plot and her journey right now has my undivided attention. Tonight’s episode was hands down the best episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi since it had few of the most important developments to its credit and all of them were shown in the best possible way.

Sahir Is Back For Good

Watching Sahir give Nusrat all those advices and more importantly the way Nusrat trusted him was somewhat ironic. Nusrat thinks that he has found the perfect match for Komal which makes things more interesting than ever. The way Noori caught Nusrat today and the manner in which she decided to tackle this situation made it quite clear to him that he needed another “ally” in the house. Nusrat’s over-dependence on Sahir was quite apparent from their scenes tonight. He not only turns to Sahir for advice but also trusts him completely. The way Sahir left Noori even after she bailed him out said a great deal about his character. Sahir was always a mysterious character, the viewers only saw one side of his character and then the way he judged Noori made you wonder whether he ever really loved Noori. The scenes covering Sahir’s interactions with Nusrat showed that he was much more polished now and Nusrat was clearly clueless about what he wanted to do.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 17 Story Review - The Best

Meaningful Scenes

Every single scene in this episode was meaningful and all these scenes were executed just as impressively as they were written. Bhola’s growing attachment and dependence on his dulhan was shown right from the beginning. His anger and anxiety increased every time Noori did not give him enough time or attention. The viewers were gradually shown all this and in the end when Bhola hit his chachi, it made perfect sense! This was his way of ‘protecting’ Noori because he felt that Chachi had disturbed her. This scene was directed brilliantly.

Chachi’s conversations with her husband also added something tangible to the story. While she was sharing ‘good news’, her husband felt more insecure and scared. He obviously does not want Bhola to get well. The scene in which Noori read the cheque and all the scenes which covered how Noori dealt with this situation were outstanding. Fehmida’s innocence, Noori’s confidence and intelligence and Nusrat’s shaken confidence was translated on screen impeccably by all the actors involved. The dialogues and these situations were written and directed in the most superb manner possible. Noori made sure that Nusrat knew he was in trouble. Also, when she quickly figured out that her mother-in-law trusted Nusrat blindly she decided to do something practically to keep her from relying on him instead of telling her the truth. This move by Noori once again showed how good she was at problem-solving. Noori has faced many difficult situations so far but every time she comes out stronger and more determined than ever. Her biggest challenge is yet to come, it will be great watching her find her way out of what is coming ahead.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 17 Story Review - The Best

Overall Impression

I don’t have the words to express my love for this drama. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is a classic which will be remembered for a really long time. Imran Ashraf’s mind-blowing performance has given him a new identity. This drama has given all those real people like Bhola a new identity as well, it changes the opinion of the viewers about every individual who has such challenges. Next time I see a person like Bhola on the streets or anywhere at all, I will understand and empathize with him more than I ever did before. The fact that team Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has managed to change people’s perspective without being preachy is the best part of this drama. Iqra Aziz has breathed life in a really complex role by owning it completely. Her outstanding performance was the highlight of this episode. Asma Abbas makes her role even more likable and Kashif Mehmood’s acting has also been solid throughout. Syed Jibran doesn’t give much away about his character which makes you look forward to knowing more about Sahir.

The Preview

The preview of the next episode was very enticing. Nusrat will bring Sahir home but it seems like he will not see Noori in the next episode. The scene covering chacha’s hospital visit with Bhola caught my attention more than any other. He is definitely playing games and he must have contributed to making Bhola’s condition worse. Noori does not trust Nusrat any more, she will start questioning him now and sooner or later she will figure everything out. The actual story has just started and this drama will only get more interesting now.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 16 Story Review – Meaningful & Poignant

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi highlighted beautifully the challenges faced by both Noori and Bhola. These scenes were powerful and poignant. Even with all her strength and determination there were times when Noori found it difficult to fulfill the promise she made to Ama Janate and herself too. While Bhola is completely incapable of understanding why he cannot live a ‘normal’ life like everyone else around him, Noori understands these complications only too well. Noori’s strengths, unfulfilled dreams, her perspective and the will to go on was shown brilliantly in this episode. Iqra Aziz and Imran Ashraf’s phenomenal performances have definitely made their characters easier to connect to.

The Ups And Downs

This episode opened with a scene which showed that Noori was in complete control of her life but as the story progressed things changed drastically. When Noori and Bhola talked about whether Noori was happy or not, Noori’s dialogues were written so well. These meaningful dialogues gave the viewers an insight into Noori’s mindset. She was focusing on counting her blessings – on being thankful! Just when Noori thought this frame of mind will help her get through her situation, Bhola wanted more! Noori’s outburst and Bhola’s reaction was covered in the most realistic manner. Instead of showing that from here onward, things were going to go perfectly smoothly for Noori, the writer showed that Noori’s test had just started. Noori and Bhola’s relationship, their ups and downs couldn’t have been shown in a more convincing manner.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 16 Story Review - Meaningful & Poignant

Meaningful Conversations

Apart from Bhola and Noori’s scenes, this episode also had quite a few meaningful conversations which showed what Bhola’s chacha is planning. He wants to be financially independent and for that he needs a lot of money. When his wife asked him where all this money was going to come from, he had no answer. His insecurities and fears were also reflected through the conversation he had with his wife. He does not want Bhola to have children because he knows Bhola is not a threat but if he has normal children, they will be a big threat to him. The conversation between Sahir and the chacha also suggested that he might do something extreme to get his hands on the money he needs.

Favorite Scenes

The scene covering Noori’s frustration and Bhola’s retaliation after having the conversation about having children was one of the best scenes in this episode. The scene which showed Noori thinking about the time she spent with Sahir which was followed by Bhola reassuring her of his love was also beautifully put together. The opening scene in which Noori and Komal had a heart-to-heart conversation was another well written scene. Noori wanting to teach the neighbour’s children was also the highlight of this episode.

The stellar performances and a well-chosen cast has definitely added to the beauty of this drama. The background score was used effectively in this episode and the camerawork was impressive. The writer’s approach has been realistic throughout which is the main reason why every scene resonates with you. Sahir is back and it seems like he will be playing an important role in furthering chacha’s business plans. The preview of the next episode showed Noori noticing the ‘mistake’ in the cheque which her mother in law was about to sign. Will the chacha start seeing Noori as big threat too after this? Will her mother in law start trusting and depending on her more? I am also waiting to see how the story unfolds once Sahir and Noori come face to face.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 15 Story Review – New Beginning

This was the kind of episode you watch with a smile on your face and a tear or two in your eyes. It was emotional as well as enjoyable. Noori has found a purpose in life and since she was always been someone who loved finding solutions to the most difficult problems therefore she will definitely do whatever she can to make things better for Bhola and his mother. This episode belonged to Noori who took Ama Janate’s advice very seriously and decided to accept Bhola for who he was. Noori’s biggest strength has been her determination and this time she is determined to make this relationship work. Faiza Iftikhar’s heroines are always strong women who most often take the lead in a relationship and Noori is the same too. The spell-binding performances made the emotional scenes even more poignant. Asma Abbas translated a mother’s love in the most apt manner possible. She shares such an amazing on screen chemistry with all her co-actors. Iqra Aziz has translated Noori’s character faultlessly on screen. Imran Ashraf’s performance continues to be impressive and Bhola’s character has been etched-out superbly too. Kashif Nisar’s intelligent direction definitely made this episode an absolute delight to watch.

The Power Of Kindness

Noori’s changed attitude towards Bhola turned things around for him. It showed how sensitive Bhola is because he immediately felt the change in Noori’s behavior and was more than willing to return the kindness. Noori and Bhola’s growing relationship was shown very realistically. While Bhola was more than willing to do a few things to please his dulhan, there were also times when he was not too eager to follow whatever Noori asked him to do. Bhola’s ‘love’ for his good for nothing friends is one of the many realistic traits of his personality. Noori is an intelligent girl who knows how to handle Bhola, sometimes with love and at other times by threatening him of dire consequences. It was great watching Noori being her old self, she was driven, enthusiastic and in control. Bhola and Noori’s scenes together were written and acted out so well. Kashif Nisar deserves all the credit for making these scenes pleasing to watch.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 15 Story Review - New Beginning

Heart-warming Relationships

Noori and Bhola’s relationship with Fehmida is the most heart-warming aspect of this drama. All the scenes covering how happy and satisfied Fehmida was now were the most satisfying scenes in this episode. Asma Abbas translated a mother’s feelings superbly on screen. Although Rizwana kept on telling her how wrong it was for Bhola to share private details of his married life with his mother, she insisted she wanted to know more. This was one of the cutest scenes in this episode. I loved the way Noori asked her that question about Bhola. Fehmida’s answer to that question suggested that Bhola always had learning disabilities but the biggest change in his personality came after a prolonged illness. There is still some mystery surrounding this track and there is definitely more to it. Chacha’s interest in Bhola’s private affairs suggested that he had his eyes on his assets. Although Chachi cannot stand Bhola and she most certainly cannot see Fehmida happy but she is never able to understand what is going on in her husband’s mind. Noori and Bhola’s friends’ encounter was one of the most amusing scenes in this episode.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 15 Story Review - New Beginning

Sahir Is Back!

The preview of the next episode showed that the chacha has saved enough money to start a business of his own and it seems like Sahir is going to be playing an important role in this new venture. Sahir will eventually make his way to their house as well and that is when he will see Noori there. Fehmida has absolutely no clue about Noori’s actual background therefore it remains to be seen how she will react once she finds out the truth. Fehmida trusted her brother in law with all her money and she trusted Ama Janate too. Once Sahir is back in the picture, the story will move to a different direction.

Overall Impression

With this episode the story moved to the next phase. All the latest developments were covered perfectly. The performances never cease to impress and the script has so much to offer. This episode was well-paced and engaging. Looking forward to the next episode.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 14 Story Review – Storytelling At Its Finest

This was yet another beautiful episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi which was quite contrary to everyone’s expectations. This drama never seizes to surprise its viewers and is always thoroughly entertaining. With this episode Noori decided to follow Ama Janate’s advice which means that from now on she will be interested in finding out more about Bhola and perhaps try to ‘fix’ things too.

Surprising development

The fact that Rizwana was not turned into an evil character was the most refreshing and surprising development. The reasoning she gave made perfect sense and later on the idea to frame Bhola was also her husband’s. She did all this out of jealousy- nothing more and nothing less. She was obviously not thinking straight at that time and if it wasn’t for her husband’s support, she wouldn’t have thought of a way to get out of this situation. The way her husband took advantage of Bhola’s innocence showed yet again what he was capable of doing. Fehmida completely trusts them both and couldn’t even imagine that they could do something like that. Rizwana’s expressions and this entire development was covered perfectly.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 14 Story Review - Storytelling At Its Finest

Ama Janate & Noori

Ama Janate suspected Noori because she still didn’t have faith in her. I felt for Noori tonight more than any other character. Her relationship with Ama Janate is so beautiful and for the first time she has completely surrendered to Ama Janate’s will. Later on, the remorse Ama Janate felt was also shown superbly. Every single scenario was covered in detail without dragging the scenes. Noori never imagined getting married to anyone other than Sahir therefore watching her think about Sahir on her wedding day was so relatable. Ama Janate’s final advice to Noori turned out to be a turning point.

Noori & Bhola

Bhola’s fascination with Noori is growing even though he knows that Noori is not very fond of him. Bhola was shown constantly touching his nose and mouth which made it easier to understand why someone like Noori wouldn’t let him near her. The wedding scene was meaningful as well as amusing. Bhola’s mother’s struggle to keep him away from his wife and Noori’s body language was the best thing about this scene. In the last scene, Noori touched Bhola’s feet which basically meant that she was going to do whatever it took to accept Bhola for who he was. Bhola and Noori’s scenes were the highlight of this episode. Their track has a great deal to offer. Fehmida’s love for Noori and her wish to see her son happy will drive her to support Noori in every way possible. Komal’s relationship with Bhola and Noori both makes her one of the most likeable characters in this play. Komal is innocent and loving and her love for Bhola is unconditional.

Overall Impression

The writer’s keen observation showed in every single scene tonight. She has especially done tremendously well when it comes to showing the challenges families (in this case a mother) go through when they have a child like Bhola. Although some of Bhola’s scenes in every episode are hilarious but the situations are never insensitive in any way. These scenes make you fall in love with the character even more, you laugh and cry with Bhola as you get to know him more with every passing episode. The emotional impact of these scenes outweighs everything else. Imran Ashraf’s sheer brilliance and dedication as an actor showed in all those beautifully moving scenes tonight which were effortlessly engaging. Iqra Aziz’s performance tonight was equally captivating and effortless. Iqra Aziz has translated Noori’s emotional fragility and her will to go on perfectly. Asma Abbas’ performance throughout has been heartfelt and touching – this has to be one of her best performances. The engrossing and poignant narrative coupled with Kashif Nisar’s impeccable direction makes Ranjha Ranjha Kardi an impressively crafted play.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 14 Story Review - Storytelling At Its Finest

The preview of the next episode was extremely enticing. Komal’s track it seems is also going to move to another direction in the next episode. Will Sahir make a comeback sooner than we thought? I can’t wait to find out.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 13 Story Review – Exceptional

Touching, powerful, beautiful and engaging – tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was simply flawless. This drama has the most amazing characters and it has so much to offer to its viewers. All the different tracks in the story are somehow interrelated and there is a constant conflict in the life of all these characters. In these 13 weeks, the viewers have witnessed these characters going through so much yet it is impossible to predict how they will behave in a certain situation. The writer, director and all the actors involved have given this drama their 100 percent because of which it is turning out to be one of those few plays which raise the bar really high.

Bhola and Noori – A Complete Mismatch

All the scenes covering Bhola and Noori’s track were written and executed brilliantly. Some of these scenes were really amusing especially because of the way Bhola showed his dislike for his new dulhan and the manner in which he tried to explain to her who his friend was. Bhola and Noori both are such finely drawn characters and the performances by both these actors leave you in awe of their talent. Imran Ashraf particularly is beyond impressive as Bhola and Iqra Aziz has translated Noori’s frustration, anger and helplessness so well on screen. Kashif Nisar’s skillful direction has definitely added to the charm since he never overdramatizes any situation and he also keeps the scenes short. While Bhola had a really difficult time understanding why Noori was so cold, he easily got distracted as well. The scenes which showed how hurt he felt when she pushed him away were extremely poignant. Noori on the other hand has a really difficult time accepting the fact that Ama Janate got her married to someone like Bhola. Noori treats Bhola like an unwanted annoying child. When she needs him to do something for her, she tries to convince him nicely but she certainly has no patience for him. I absolutely loved the scene covering how and why Noori decides to go with Bhola to see his friends. In this scene the viewers got to see the Noori we all fell in love with. The meeting disturbed her a lot and it looked like she was already preparing herself for the worse. Faiza Iftikhar’s heroines are never victims no matter what they go through and it seems like Noori too will be a fighter. She is a wise and practical girl who knows that she has nowhere else to go therefore she is doing whatever she can in order to make her stay in this house more ‘bearable’.

More Trouble For Noori

Noori has already been through so much but what Rizwana did today and the preview of the next episode clearly suggested that she will have to go through much more. It looks like Noori’s past is never going to leave her for good and even Ama Janate will suspect her of stealing the jewelry. Rizwana has been shown as a negative character throughout and until the previous episode, I thought that she was selfish but harmless. Did she steal that necklace because she felt tempted or was it because she wanted Fehmida to start doubting Noori? This was the first time that Rizwana was shown doing something which basically proved that she was capable of stooping really low. It makes me wonder what else she has done in the past to disrupt Fehmida’s peace. She cannot see Bhola or Fehmida happy – it is almost as if she is convinced that they don’t deserve to be happy. Munazzah Arif is such a fine actress, her performances are always effortless.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 13 Story Review - Exceptional

Ama Janate’s Visit

The warm welcome Ama Janate got and the way Noori met her – all of it was covered so well. Asma Abbas is such a phenomenal actress, she has amazing on-screen chemistry with all her co-stars and her acting is so spontaneous. Ama Janate was seriously concerned about Noori and noticed every little thing. Fehmida is always more conscious and apologetic when she is around.

Overall impression

The dialogues and the conversations tonight were extremely engaging as well as relatable. The writer’s approach is commendable – she is not trying to lecture the viewers in any way but she wants the viewers to enjoy her characters and their journeys. The attention to detail is superb since there are absolutely no loopholes and every single aspect of the drama has been shown in complete clarity. Many words tonight were muted in this episode, I am wondering what these words were since the dialogues have been written so well throughout. Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was another phenomenal episode and it looks like things will only get more interesting from here on. Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has won me over completely and I highly recommend it to all those viewers who like quality entertainment.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 12 Story Review – Meaningful & Engaging

Bhola and Noori finally met tonight and this meeting couldn’t have been covered in a more apt manner. Bhola’s ‘love’ for his dulhan, Noori’s feelings for Bhola and most importantly the way Bhola felt rejected repeatedly was the best part of this episode. Bhola’s relationship with his mother and the way she protects him is the most heart-warming aspect of this drama. Their scenes have been written and executed flawlessly. This latest episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi had some of the most phenomenal performances we have seen on television in recent times. This episode also had few of the most beautiful as well as upsetting situations we have seen in this drama so far. Iqra Aziz’s outstanding performance tonight was the highlight of this episode. Imran Ashraf never ceases to impress and every single character in this play leaves an impression on you in some way or the other. Kashif Nisar’s skillful direction shone out in so many scenes tonight. The direction and editing of this drama has been perfect throughout.

Noori’s Practical Approach

Noori could not stand Bhola but she was fascinated by everything in her new house. Noori’s tour of the house, her expressions when she touched all those ‘clean’ beautiful things showed that she definitely liked her surroundings. Bhola’s dialogues clearly indicated that Noori already had a close bond with her mother in law and had decided that she was going to spend most of her time with her. Iqra Aziz’s expressions and body language along with the little details which were covered so well made her scenes a treat to watch. Noori’s love for cleanliness and her disgust towards Bhola showed that she was back to being her normal self. She answered all of Rizwana’s questions wisely without getting herself or Ama Janate into trouble in any way. This is only the start and there is so much more that Noori will have to face in the upcoming episodes. I am eagerly looking forward to watching how her journey unfolds since Noori is not the kind of woman who will give up under any circumstances. Watching Komal talk to Noori about her college made me wonder if Noori too will get a chance to study in the future.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 12 Story Review - Meaningful & Engaging

Bhola’s Confusion

Bhola was expecting something completely different from this marriage therefore he had no idea why his dulhan did not smile and was so upset with him all the time. Noori decided to keep a safe distance from Bhola and did whatever she could to make sure that he does not feel comfortable around her. The scene in which Bhola offered her the pan was simply brilliant. The way he got scared and started crying was extremely poignant. This was the kind of scene that stays with you. Imran Ashraf’s riveting performance coupled with the way these scenes were written made these scenes impactful. Bhola decided to show his friends his Dulhan’s pictures and they recognized her instantly. Noori thought she had left her past behind but it seems like her past will come to haunt her very soon.

The Positive Characters

I absolutely love Bhola’s conversations with his mother. The scene in which she tried to lecture him before he went to meet Noori was so meaningful. Asma Abbas translated a mother’s fears and her love beautifully on screen. Her character is so positive and strong at the same time. She has dealt with so much in all these years yet she has nothing but love to give to his son and even to Noori now. The way her eyes lit up when she saw Noori and got mehndi made especially for her showed that she valued her. Komal is another character in this play who always puts a smile on my face. She is also Bhola’s well-wisher who tries to add as much ‘normalcy’ in his life as possible.

Overall Impression

Like every other episode of this drama, this one too was perfectly put together. Every scene added to the story in some way and was meaningful. The dedication and honesty with which this unusual yet appealing story has been told reflects in all the scenes. I felt for all the characters tonight – Noori, Bhola and Bhola’s mother. You can’t help but root for all these wonderful people who deserve better and are trying to make things better for themselves and each other. Right now, I am more interested in knowing how Noori will face everything that comes her way. Her character has so much going for it. Faiza Iftikhar’s script has been meaningful and engaging. Kashif Nisar never disappoints and the leading actors deserve an award for their mind-blowing performances.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 11 Story Review – Powerful and Poignant

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 11 Story Review – This latest episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi had more of Bhola than any other character. All the scenes covering Bhola showed a different aspect of his life. The helpless and dejected Noori the viewers saw in the previous episode is gradually fading away and by the end of this episode, Noori finally reacted to everything which was happening to her. This episode also had some of the most solid performances to its credit. Imran Ashraf deserves tons of praise for translating an extremely difficult character effortlessly on screen. He has brought Bhola to life in the best way possible. Iqra Aziz acted brilliantly tonight, her expressions and body language especially in the scene at the mazar were superb. The downside of this episode was that Noori and Bhola did not meet, something which everyone was eagerly looking forward to.

Realistic Situations

The best part of this drama is that every single situation has been written down and executed in such a realistic manner. Tonight’s episode opened with an upsetting event. The people Bhola calls his friends are actually bullies who enjoy making fun of Bhola. These were the same men who Noori met when she came looking for Sahir, once they see Noori’s picture they will recognize her. It is really common for people like Bhola to be bullied in the insensitive manner in which Bhola got bullied tonight and the fact that Bhola considered these people his friends definitely resonated with me. Having ‘friends’ is normal and saying that these people are his friends makes Bhola feel like he is like everyone else. This incident also showed that Bhola did not like who he was which is why he did not want his dulhan to be like him. Even though there were a lot of scenes later on which showed a more funny side of Bhola’s character yet I felt for him in every single scene. The chacha giving sleeping pills to get him off his back was a really important scene. Did his mother know that Bhola was being given these pills? Bhola’s chacha is a suspicious character right from day one since he is a little too calculating and he never really shows what is going on in his mind. Bhola’s dialogues about what his chacha said to him when his father died were also meaningful. Bhola is afraid of  losing people ever since then and even though he hasn’t even met his dulhan, he is afraid he might lose her. Bhola’s attempts to do what normal people do and to be like them makes you feel for his character.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 11 Story Review - Powerful and Poignant

Noori’s Growing Confusion and Anger

Noori’s state of mind was shown brilliantly in this episode. When her groom did not turn up on the wedding night, Noori was confused and the toys in the room confused her even more. Although, Komal did say Bhola Bhai in front of her  but Noori it seems did not hear that so even now she has no idea who is her husband. The scene at the mazar was one of my favorite scenes in this episode since it showed a side of her character which has been repeatedly been asserted in all the episodes. Noori’s hatred for everything dirty was the one side of character which stood out more than any other when her character was introduced therefore the fact that the visit to the mazar made her so upset was relatable. Iqra Aziz’s overall look has always been right on point in this drama. Tonight for the first time Noori wore nicely stitched pretty clothes and she looked completely different. Noori however has never been shown as someone who wanted to get married to someone rich so that she could afford better clothes and jewelry. But the overall look went well with this new change in her life. Iqra Aziz’s expressions were spot on in the scene at the mazar and in the last scene of this episode.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 11 Story Review - Powerful and Poignant

Overall Impression

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi is an exceptional play with some amazing performances which leave you spellbound. Imran Ashraf has already proved his mettle as an actor but he has surely outdone himself this time around. This drama however is a game changer for Iqra Aziz who is getting a chance to showcase her true talent for the first time. Noori and Bhola both are deep and layered character, I am waiting to see them both together in the upcoming episodes. All the performances tonight were faultless and like every other episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi all the scenes were short and to the point. Asma Abbas is such a remarkable actress, I especially love her in this role. It is always great watching a drama in which the entire team has put in their best efforts.

How many of you watched this poignant and entertaining episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi? I am eagerly looking forward to the next episode because next week Noori will finally find out that Bhola is her husband – waiting to see her reaction.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 10 Story Review – Surprise

Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was fast paced, exciting and engaging throughout. Bhola and Noori’s union was expected but no one was expecting it to happen this soon. The promos of this play have been put together so intelligently, they are always dodgy and pique your curiosity. This episode was written, acted-out and directed flawlessly. Every character in this play is well defined and interesting. Every conversation and each scene adds something to the story which makes this drama a must-watch.

Unexpected Developments

Noori and Ama Janate’s conversation tonight, revealed a different side of Noori’s character. For the first time Noori was clueless and she did not have a plan. This softer yet equally determined side of Noori’s personality was just as appealing as all of her other character traits. Iqra Aziz translated Noori confusion as well as her curiosity superbly on screen. Everything happened too fast primarily because Ama Janate knew only too well that she did not have enough time. Ama Janate told half-truths to convince Fehmida because she knew that Noori will be safe in this house and there was no other way out. The most interesting aspect of this unexpected development was that neither Noori nor Bhola knew who they were getting married to. Am I the only one who paused to think about Noori and Bhola’s previous meetings. Even though Bhola was dirty, hungry or inappropriate whenever they met but Noori always enjoyed his company in some way or the other. Noori’s obsession with cleanliness has been highlighted over and over again. Similarly, Bhola’s love for dirt and his mother’s constant attempts to keep him clean has also been shown in many scenes. While Noori and Bhola are opposites in this respect, they also have a lot of similarities. The writer has intelligently highlighted these similarities and differences in all these episodes and now that these two are officially together, it remains to be seen if their restless souls will find comfort in one another or it will be the other way around. Their union has made the story even more interesting since these beautiful characters will be seen together now in every episode.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 10 Story Review - Surprise

The Reactions

Kashif Nisar and Faiza Iftikhar both pay great attention to detail therefore even though what happened tonight was a total and complete surprise, it was all shown in an extremely convincing manner. The reactions to the nikkah were also shown in a subtle manner. Noori was hesistant for obvious reasons but she knew she had to do this. Ama Janate was relieved when she signed the papers but the chacha was not happy. Bhola’s chacha definitely has a bigger role to play in the picture, I am waiting to see what it is. Komal’s reaction was my favorite. The bond she shares with Bhola is special, she is the only person besides Fehmida who loves Bhola and does not judge him. Bhola’s reaction was the most amusing one. All the dialogues and situations covering his character were written and acted out brilliantly. Imran Ashraf has completely nailed this character. Asma Abbas deserves a lot of appreciation for translating a mother’s struggles flawlessly. Imran Ashraf and Asma Abbas also share amazing on-screen chemistry which makes their scenes even more realistic.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 10 Story Review - Surprise

Overall Impression

This was the kind of episode which leaves you with a million questions. How will Noori react when she finds out who her husband is? The performances tonight were outstanding as usual and Faiza Iftikhar’s script continues to impress. Kashif Nisar is such an exceptional director, he always gives every script the right treatment. The preview of the next episode was equally interesting.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 1 Story Review – Meticulous & Engaging

Written by: Faiza Iftikhar
Directed by: Kashif Nisar
Produced by: MD Productions

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 1 Story Review – This first episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi was captivating and fast-paced. Most viewers were expecting this to be Bhola’s (Imran Ashraf) story more than Noori’s but tonight episode focused entirely on Noori. This was surprising but the character was introduced brilliantly. Kashif Nisar’s direction coupled with Faiza Iftikhar’s screenplay was nothing short of brilliance, not a single scene dragged and the attention to detail was impressive.

Noori – The Headstrong and Determined Protagonist

In this first episode every single trait of Noori’s (Iqra Aziz) character along with her back story was covered superbly. Noori was shown as a misfit in her family and also someone who was lucky enough to meet a mentor who changed the course of her life. Although Noori learned to read and write but her basic mannerism remained somewhat the same. Even though Noori hated the kind of people her parents and siblings were yet she was a lot like them in so many ways even though she was a lot more educated than them. Noori’s “wild” nature was the most obvious trait of her personality. Amma Janate started teaching her basic mannerism right from day one but Noori’s sole concentration was on learning how to excel in her studies and she obviously did not take all the other advice very seriously. Noori and her mentor’s relationship was heart-warming although I do feel that the actress playing Ama Janate’s role did not emote very well. Noori’s back story was shown right from the time when she was a little girl while she sat in the train frightened and worried – it looked like she was running away from somewhere. Noori is a girl who has big dreams but it seems like her dreams will be shattered. Noori’s spirit and most importantly her pride stayed pretty much intact even when she was in the train. Ama Janate’s dialogues about Noori’s pride were meaningful, will Noori learn all these lessons the hard way?

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 1 Story Review - Meticulous & Engaging

Favorite Scenes

My favorite scenes from this episode were the ones which covered Noori’s time in the haveli. The way she looked around in wonder and awe when she entered the haveli said a great deal about what was going on in her mind. Noori could not believe the fact that she was getting so much respect, she was bring served in clean beautiful dishes and she was even allowed to go to the kitchen! That one scene in particular in which Noori looked at the glass was exceptional. Iqra Aziz’s expressions in this scene and her performance overall tonight definitely fit the bill. Iqra Aziz definitely stepped out of her comfort zone to do justice to this character and translated the different shades of her character realistically on screen.

Overall Impression

This first episode as a whole was impactful. Syed Jibran’s character was introduced in the end and he got very little screen time but his dialogues clearly indicated what his intentions were. Although Noori thinks she is clever but she was naive enough to instantly trust this man and was even attracted by all the things he had in his shop. All the shades of Noori’s personality were quite clear from different scenes. Noori’s journey has my undivided attention after watching this first episode and I am looking forward to watching Bhola in the next episode. The dialogues in this first episode were simple yet meaningful and the screenplay was truly impressive. The camerawork and editing couldn’t have been better. The only disappointing aspect was that Bhola was not introduced in this episode, otherwise it couldn’t have been better.

Rani Mukherjee Husband | 10 Adorable Pictures

Rani Mukherjee comes from a film-situated group of Bengali roots. Her dad, Ram Mukherjee, is a former director and one of the initiators of “Filmalaya Studios”. Her mom, Krishna Mukherjee, was a playback vocalist. Her sibling, Raj Mukherjee is a moviemaker, presently turned into a director. Her maternal auntie, Debashree Roy, was a Bengali-film actress, and her cousin, Kajol, is also a Bollywood star.

Rani Mukherjee is an edified Odissi artist and started learning the dance in 10th grade. Rani Mukerjee got early education at Maneckjee Cooper High School in Juhu and later enlisted at Mithibai College in Mumbai.

While in school at 14 years old, Rani Mukherjee made an appearance in her dad’s Bengali film Biyar Phool (1992). In 1994, Salim Akhtar, a family ally, offered Rani Mukherjee a film called Aa Gale Lag Jaa (1994) however her dad was against it as she wasn’t old enough. Rani Mukerjee turned down the offer and Urmila Matondkar played the character instead.

After two years, Salim Akhtar offered Rani Mukherjee to play the leading character in Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat (1997). After a meaningful conversation with her dad, she consented to do the film. At the point when the film was fruitless in the cinema world, Rani Mukerjee got back to school to finish her schooling.

Rani Mukherjee’s first commercial accomplishment was the action movie Ghulam (1998). Kuch Hota Hai (1998) gave a kick start to her career. Following a concise mishap, the year 2002 denoted a defining moment for her when she was projected by Yash Raj Films as the star of the dramatization Saathiya.

Mukerji set up herself by featuring in a few monetarily successful emotional movies, including Chalte (2003), Hum Tum (2004), Veer-Zaara (2004), and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), and the criminal satire Bunty Aur Babli (2005). Rangreza’s Official Trailer Is Here

This Bilal Ashraf, Urwa Hocane and Gohar Rasheed starrer has been making the headlines off and on but the much awaited trailer is finally here.

Rangreza's Official Trailer Is Here

The trailer presents Bilal as a top notch singer who falls for Urwa probably because of how different they both are and Gohar continues to be the baddie. Rangreza has all the ingredients of a drama movie from a love triangle to a crazy antagonist, press, hysterical parents, love songs and tragic death (probably murder). What could go wrong, right?

Rangreza’s Official Poster Has Us Gushing Over It

Our anticipation for Rangreza began with it’s teaser trailer release back in June in which Bilal Ashraf looked exceedingly hot followed by Urwa Hocane looking aesthetically divine and Gohar Rasheed portraying madness and all this with Abida Parveen’s soulful voice in the back ground, wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that we were in love.

And to remind us of our anticipation of this film here’s the steamingly hot and deviously charming official poster for the movie.

Gushed yet?

This Bilal Ashraf, Urwa Hocane and Gohar Rasheed starrer musical romance is set to reach new heights for a Pakistani film and is said to premier in various international locations.

After Jaanan’s huge success it is only natural for us to have high expectations from Rangreza and there’s a good chance we won’t be disappointed, the movie is set to release this December and we are ready to be blown away with cinematic mastery.
