The story revolves around Kamyar, a wealthy and spoiled young man, who falls in love with a medical student from a modest background, played by Hania Aamir.

The numbers are still good, but compared to the start, many people have stopped watching, and the reason is the same — the audience’s opinion has changed. The reason for this change is the glorification of a toxic hero. When we say we don’t want toxic heroes, we mean that but here they are again showing a toxic storyline. The main lead is love-bombing the girl, forcing himself on her, and constantly chasing her despite repeated rejections and thins he is cute. The execution may make it look cute, but this sets a dangerous example. Many people say why boys force girls in real life — because they take inspiration from this. I am against such concepts. I am against these types of dramas. Have we run out of stories and concepts? Look at the star power in this drama — Hania Aamir and Bilal Abbas Khan, powerhouses of performance — yet this is a very substandard plot. I’m even confused about how to rate this drama. Jinn Ki Shadi Unki Shadi is Hum TV’s popular horror-comedy drama serial that is receiving praise from viewers. Sehar Khan, Syed Jibran, Tamkenat Mansoor, and others play the roles of Jinns, while Wahaj Ali, Romaisa Khan, Sidra Niazi, and Arsalan Naseer portray human characters. The actor has been under a lot of scrutiny lately due to his recent project choices. He did not sign any Pakistani projects and went on to work in the controversial Zee5 series Barzakh. The series was criticized for its content. He then worked in an Indian film Abir Gulaal which became a victim to India-Pakistan rivalry and Pakistani fans were unhappy at Fawad’s silence during the war.

Fawad Khan has now addressed all this criticism. He spoke about the fear of irrelevance that comes when an actor is not working on screen for an extended period of time. He shared that an artist is never irrelevant. Yes, the years add up. So, after a few years, one might not be offered college boy roles but roles of middle aged men and fathers which is completely fine.

He said that he does not mind criticism and people are free to hold opinions and like or dislike someone. This is a worldwide practice and he welcomes positive criticism.

Pamaal is a drama that has stirred a lot of debate in the audience. For the first time, a drama is showing a husband who is not a perpetrator of domestic abuse but he is controlling to the extreme. He controls his wife’s clothing choices, her friends, if she can go out or not and even their children’s names and needs. He, however, bought her a separate house and gives her financial security, thus no one ever questions him.

Usman Mukhtar is playing the protagonist Raza in Pamaal and the actor has given a great performance. He was last seen in Jafaa where his character was not well-written but this time he has given his best as Raza. The actor took to Instagram and answered some questions from Pamaal fans.

Usman shares that he did not take Raza’s character home. He does not want to sound like a pseudo-method actor. He added that Pakistani dramas are shot very chaotically and the work is fast thus there is no room to get under the skin of a character. This is what he shared:

He has been doing concerts in Pakistan and his Islamabad concert is going viral. Atif always brings energy to his shows and he makes the audience feel special when they attend his performances.

Diljit Dosanjh is another such performer from Indian Punjab who has a global following. Fans love him on both sides of the border and his energetic concerts are jam-packed, in and out of India. He incorporates his Punjabi identity in his performance and his bhangra is loved by millions.

Pamaal is a drama written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Khizer Idrees. The drama is showcasing control and narcissistic abuse that exists in most Pakistani marriages.
