My parents came to America after 2 months and my husband arrived in April, 4 months after I was diagnosed with cancer. I firmly believed in Allah and I was so positive throughout the journey but it got more painful when My father passed away while I was being treated in America and I couldn’t travel to see him because my hip bone got collapsed. It was a long 7-8 years journey of battling cancer and God has been so kind Alhamdulilah”.

In a recent show, Laila, shared her ordeal and fight with AML, a rare form of Leukemia and how she emerged as a survivor.

“I was diagnosed with AML back in the US, ten years ago. My blood count had dropped significantly and I was lifted to John Hopkins where I was told that my Lukemia was very rare and that I would go through chemotherapy and radiation,” shared Laila.

Adding further, Laila stated, “I needed bone marrow transplant but none of my siblings matched. However I was grateful to find 19 donors internationally. But my body didn’t accept the blood and I fell further and very critically ill after the transfusion.”

Laila narrated her tale of being put on steroids to battle the disease and then losing her bone strength because of which she had to get hip and knee replacements done.

During the course of her critical treatment, Laila also lost her parents but she didn’t lose hope. Laila also shared that her husband had been her biggest support during her treatment and had helped her cope up with life like a true life partner.

These days when the young Pakistani celebrities are trying really hard to improve the overall image of the people associated to the showbiz industry, there can still be seen the reflection of the old reputation of Pakistani actors and actresses who failed completely in their reign to enjoy a respect and dignity out of their career.  Lollywood actress Laila has always maintained her pace to be in the news, at times for her affairs, and if not that then for violating the laws and visiting the jail even. She further added, “After doing lead characters, I was bothered by lobbying because, despite doing strong roles, I wasn’t getting attention. Nobody used to write about me. Then I gave Kaffara, but still nobody wrote about me. I was so sad. The same happened during Aas Paas — no channels or magazines talked about it. Industry people ridiculed us and our drama. But Ali Ansari was right — our drama became a hit despite the big names and big channels. I’m very happy now, and after this huge success, the lobby system will never affect me again. A woman hailing from Lahore has come forward and levelled violence and sexual abuse allegations against Pakistani cricket captain Babar Azam. The alleged victim named Hamiza Mukhtar held a press conference at the Lahore Press Conference to level the sensational charges against the Pakistan skipper.

Speaking at a press conference the woman claimed that she was Babar’s neighbor and old school mate, adding that the young cricketer tricked her into love and marriage. “When I asked him to marry me, he tortured me,” she said.

Speaking further, Hamiza claimed that Babar Azam proposed her in 2010 and she eloped with the batsman for court marriage in 2011. She insisted that she had to elope with Babar Azam because neither her nor his family were ready for their wedding. She further said that Babar Azam eventually refused to marry her.

“He has been exploiting me for ten years by giving false promises of marriage,” said the woman while also sharing that they had lived then in different houses at Gulberg and Punjab Housing Society.

Hamiza maintained she provided huge financial support to Babar with her beauty salon income. She said that in ten years Babar Azam took crores of rupees from her out of which not a single rupee has been returned yet. Not only that, she also claimed that she has played a key role in making Babar Azam a cricketer by financing him.

During Saturday’s press conference, the woman’s lawyer said that an FIR had been lodged with the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore regarding the matter but no action was taken. Hamiza’s petition is now pending at the Sessions Court, which is scheduled for a hearing on December 4. The sexual harassment case will be heard on December 5.

There’s been a lot of hype surrounding Lahore Se Aagey, the much anticipated sequel to Karachi Say Lahore.

The film starring Saba Qamar, Yasir Hussain, Rubina Ashraf, Behroze Sabzwari, is written by Yasir Hussain and produced and directed by Wajahat Rauf. The music composer is Shiraz Uppal.

Lahore Say Agay, the sequel to Karachiq Say Lahore is all set to release on September 10, 2016 under the banner of Showcase Production. It is directed by Wajahat Rauf, who also directed the prequel, and penned by Yasir Hussain who also plays the lead male in the film. Saba Qamar is playing the female lead.

The official poster has been released. 

The cast also includes Behroz Sabzwari, Rubina Ashraf, and Sanam Baloch’s husband, Abdullah Farhatullah will be making his film debut with Lahore Say Agay.

Since PSL season is in its full swing Lahore Qalander decided to add some extra color to it. Taking the standard of PSL to another level, Lahore Qalandar recently released its anthem with an updated video. The anthem is sung by none other than the maestro Abrar-ul-Haq. Bol Qalandar was released a few days back with the video consisting of snippets of Lahore Qalandar’s performances but the recent video came out unexpectedly and Lahore just didn’t decide to jump on the bandwagon rather they decide to stand out. All the other teams released the videos with their celebrity ambassadors showing some moves in it but in Lahore Qalandar anthem’s video, the dancing stars are none other than the players who have proved that field is not the only way through which they can impress the viewers.

In the video, we can see all the players of Lahore Qalandars (including national and international cricket stars) shaking their legs on the beat.
