Hum Awards 2025 took place in Houston this year. This was the 10th edition of the show and there was some serious star power. We got to see Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat, Humayun Saeed, Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan to name a few as they took center stage. She never kept anything for herself and gave everything to us.”

Pakistan Idol is the newly launched Pakistani version of American Idol, a popular musical reality show. The show has brought the globally acclaimed franchise back to Pakistan and is scheduled to air on Green Entertainment. The first few audition episodes are about the nationwide search for singing talent, with judges Fawad Khan, Zeb Bangash, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Bilal Maqsood on the panel. Clips from the show are doing rounds on social media, and viewers are loving the incredible raw talent being showcased.
This week’s Lahore auditions featured some exceptionally talented singers whose performances the judges thoroughly enjoyed. Maham Tahir, Romaisa, Muhammad Nabeel and Ahsan Malik stood out as the best contestants.

Maham Tahir stole the show with her soulful rendition of Abida Parveen’s Tere Ishq Nachaya. Her voice and style were quite similar to those of Abida Parveen.

Romaisa Tariq impressed the judges with her funky and fast version of Mussarat Nazir’s Punjabi song Long Gawacha, which was loved by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Fawad Khan.
Nouman Javaid is a singer and musician who has been a part of the industry for over two decades. His life has always been in the public eye, from his successful songs to his broken relationships as well as the suicide attempt which shocked all his fans. He has been able to come back from a dark place and spoke about his life and journey with Ahmad Ali Butt.
Nouman Javaid revealed he has clinical depression. He spoke about how he went through a toxic relationship and his life has been full of ups and downs. He said he has recently found out about this diagnosis. This all has happened as he was brought up thinking the world is a certain way but as he grew up, he realized society was the total opposite and this affected him negatively.

Nouman Javaid unfortunately attempted suicide a few years back. This news was a shock to everyone and he spoke about this. He said that he was going through a lot in his life when he suddenly saw so many cases of child abuse on the news. He saw how helpless this world is and this triggered his own pain which led to that decision. He is okay now and he feels that he failed in recognizing what should be done when he took that decision. Only Allah helped him and saved him.

Nouman Javaid also spoke about his marriage to Fariha Parvez. He shared who he blames for it all falling apart. He said he is in the wrong for sure and he is the only person he blames for it. Marriage is a beautiful institution but things were not meant to be. He does not blame anyone else.
Do Kinaray was a mega hit on Green TV starring Junaid Khan and Momina Iqbal in the lead roles. The drama started off as a typical family politics show but Dureshehwar’s uniquely toxic character made it special. What started to viewership was how Waleed played by Junaid was completely opposite to men whom we saw on screens. He was not toxic and he would go to any extent for Dureshehwar.
Waleed in Do Kinaray was in love with his wife. He would tolerate every curve ball she would throw his way and fans complained how he lacked a back bone. He kept loving her till the end and he still wanted her to be comfortable in her life despite whatever she did to him and their daughter Dua.
In an interview on Green Prime, Junaid Khan spoke about why Waleed loved Dureshehwar so much. He stated that Dure was the first woman he ever loved and when she belittled him, he felt he was lesser and she deserved even more from his side. He added we have a problem as humans that we navigate towards negativity and toxicity and this is what Waleed kept doing.
