Recently, Syed Jibran appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where he spoke about the credibility of the Kya Drama Hai actors’ panel for judging actors.

In response to the host’s question about Kya Drama Hai, Syed Jibran said, “I am thankful because they are praising my drama, but honestly, I don’t approve of a show where actors sit on TV and criticize other actors. I don’t have seen this in Hollywood or Bollywood, where actors criticize their colleagues. It seems that they started a show because they didn’t have anything like that. That’s the main issue people have with this show. The question is, what’s the credibility of the panel? Does an actor have the right to criticize other actors? Judgment should come from the public; their appreciation is a judgement for us. Honestly, I make dramas for the people. My focus is the audience, not my fellow actors. I want my fans’ judgment and appreciation. I want to be popular among people. If they appreciate my work, then I am doing okay. If they say my acting wasn’t good, then I have to work on my craft. Fellow actors may have biases—if he’s my friend, he will praise me; if I don’t like him, he may say something negative. I want to make my fans happy, not actors. If they want to do shows like this, they can but I don’t take them seriously. For example, I don’t take awards seriously, and I don’t take them seriously either.” Here is the link to the video:
