Zoya Nasir is a brilliant Pakistani actress who got fame through popular serial Hania. Her other notable dramas are Zebaish, Deewangi, Mere Humsafar, Badzaat, Kaffara and Noor Jahan. Zoya Nasir is currently receiving praise for Bas Tera Saath Ho. In the drama, her negative character is garnering huge critical and public acclaim.

Recently, Zoya Nasir gave an interview to Rise and Shine, hosted by Nadia Khan. In the show, Zoya Nasir opened up about playing a bully in Bas Tera Saath Ho.

Talking about character, Zoya Nasir said, “Qasim reached out to me for Shehreen, and explained the character that she is an entitled bully because that’s how her mother raised her. Also, negative characters don’t see themselves as negative. If you try to portray a negative character as consciously negative all the time, it ends up looking very artificial. Even the most negative person in the world sees himself as justified and believes he is doing something positive for the world. The different thing about this character was that her dialogues were already full of venom and negativity. Since she was portrayed as a college-going girl, I just studied the body language of college students, the way they dress, and the expressions they have. Their body language is often a bit nonchalant. Without showing many expressions, they just say things casually. So when they say very serious things in a calm and gentle manner, it becomes even more impactful. Because of her parents, Shehreen thinks that a boy has come into her home who is taking away the share that rightfully belongs to her.’ And when children are growing up, whoever our mothers said was bad automatically seemed bad to us. We didn’t really have our own judgment at that age.” Here is the link to the video:
