In the morning, she had brothers, nephews, sons, and companions. By evening, everyone was sleeping on the sand. Yet, when she was questioned, she said, “I saw nothing but beauty from Allah.” The story of Karbala teaches us the importance of standing with the truth. As long as the conflict between truth and falsehood remains, as long as the distinction between the oppressed and the oppressor exists, and as long as humanity stays alive, Karbala will not remain just history.
