Emmad Irfani is a good-looking and accomplished Pakistani television and film actor, known for his convincing performances in hit Pakistani dramas. He began his career as one of the top fashion models in the early 2000s and has been serving the entertainment industry for more than 25 years. His notable dramas include Tawan, Ranjish Hi Sahi, Mariam Parrera, Saaya-e-Deewar Bhi Nahi, Maah-e-Tamam, Titli, Cheekh, Kuch Na Kaho, Aik Thi Misaal, Jaan-e-Jahan, and Jalan. Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum was his recent blockbuster, followed by ARY Digital’s ongoing drama Kafeel.
Recently, Emmad Irfani gave an interview to Rabia Mughni for Fuchsia Magazine’s show Pyar, Zindagi Aur Karachi Season 2. During the interview, he talked about what makes Jami’s character feel so real and the trait he shares with Jami.
Talking about it, Emmad Irfani said, “Jami has antics and traits that are really hateful. I actually felt disgusted while reading them. But as an actor, you have to show those emotions through yourself and put in the effort to make it real. In the process, you discover your own emotions and even surprise yourself. The reviews are saying that Jami feels convincingly real, which is really pleasing—definitely a pat on my back. Jami is quite different from me. While acting, you have to forget yourself and put all your energy and dedication into the character you are playing because the writer creates it with his hard work and passion. Jami’s anger management and anger issues are the things I can relate to—anger is often a by-product of feeling helpless. I’ve had anger issues and road rage in the past, but I’ve worked on them. At the end of the day, we make ourselves angry, not others; we’re responsible for our own emotions.”

Her daughter Mahnoor and my granddaughter Shanzay have been best friends for a long time. They were so close that they even used to stay at each other’s homes. During one such visit, they saw my granddaughter and expressed their wish to make her their daughter-in-law. Junaid Safdar’s family conveyed this proposal to me, and I agreed because he was my leader. He invited me for tea and we discussed it. Let me tell you, he is a very simple and hospitable man. They are down to earth people” Here is the link to the video:

Recently, taking to her TikTok account, Saba Faisal shared marital advice—something she is famously known for.
Saba Faisal said, “As you all know, I got married to my mamu’s son. My mamu and my mother shared a beautiful relationship, but after my marriage, there was a big fear that their bond might suffer because of the new relationship. Instead, it became even stronger. They grew closer with time, and until my mamu’s death, my mother remained deeply in love with him. This should be the goal when forming new relationships: old relationships should not suffer. Rather, families should grow closer and love among people should expand. Sibling love is precious, and new relationships should add to it. These are truly words of wisdom.”
Saba Faisal’s marital advice is receiving mixed public reactions. Some women are sharing their own experiences of marriage within joint families, while others are urging Saba Faisal to stop comparing today’s times with her own life experiences. Read more here.

Even though she was a cancer patient and the doctors didn’t give us any hopes, I was still hopeful about her health. I kept praying for a miracle. I thought I could bear the news, but when my Baji told me, I completely lost it. She passed away on my birthday—I had been fearing it for two days, thinking it might happen on this day. She was unconscious but still breathing. When I heard it, I lost all calm. I don’t think a single moment has passed since without me crying.I didn’t know how my night passed. I was thinking about her during the flight. I spent 15 days with her in December when she was hospitalized. Those 15 days are more precious to me than my whole life, because I shared all my feelings with my mother, and she showered her love on me. I told her how important she was to me and asked her to forgive me for any negligence on my part. My mother also kissed me when I gave her my attention, time, and love. I am content that she was happy with me when she left.” Here is the link to the video:

It started beautifully, and all three actors are so good, but I can’t take my eyes off Zaviyar Nauman. Surprisingly, it’s true—he is looking phenomenal. I watched the drama three times. His expressions and the way he delivered his dialogues under the influence of alcohol were amazing. Some dramas are simply amazing; you watch them just to be entertained.”
Nadia Khan usually ignites backlash for her criticism of actors, but this time she is facing trolling for praising Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz’s portrayal of Bashah. Hina Afridi is a famous Pakistani model and television actor who recently got married to Taimoor Akbar in a beautiful outdoor Nikah ceremony attended by close friends and immediate family. Multiple videos from her Nikah trended on social media, sparking debates over her looks, the Nikah videos, and other moments.
Recently, Hina Afridi’s brother, Shoaib Khan, addressed all the criticism that took social media by storm.
In his detailed video, Hina Afridi’s brother, Shoaib Khan, said, “Thank you all for loving us on social media. The love we received for the wedding was truly unexpected. Yes, I love my sisters so much—I can’t even express it. Secondly, I have been seeing a lot of criticism about Hina’s look. It was the look she had dreamed of; it was her choice. She herself instructed me about the look, and I styled her exactly the way she wanted. She looked perfect, like a Disney princess. She got ready for herself and her husband. She didn’t want to trend, so let it be. The most discussed topic was the five-lakh-rupee demand at the nikah. Listen, every woman has the right to demand from her husband. Someone said that a woman is like a child in front of her husband, she can argue, demand, be stubborn, love him, and expect love in return. She fights with him because it is a beautiful, intimate relationship. The video was not shot by our family. The nikah had already been performed before that viral video; it was just a fun video made after the nikah that people uploaded. “
He further added, “Hina is not materialistic. I wish every house had a daughter like Hina. She earns for herself and never keeps calculations of her money. She is not after brands and doesn’t even take money matters seriously. She was simply talking to her husband and making demands after the nikah, which her husband will fulfill according to his status—nothing more, nothing less. We remained decent, simple, and sophisticated. The reason we went viral was because Hina is an actor and Taimoor is an influencer. We knew it was bound to happen.”

If marriage works for you, it is the most beautiful institution. There is nothing better than two loving partners. However, it also happens that some people live happily together for some time and then part ways. If this happens, they should move on and can marry again. As for me, I am not thinking about getting married right now, but when I do have plans, I will share them. I am sure I will get married again. I would love to get married, as it is eventually the right and ultimate truth for both men and women—there should be a partner, and life should be spent with him or her.” Here is the link to the video:

I met women in person who were running their households through their businesses. I talked to the governor to grant a loan of 5 to 6 billion rupees. I asked for a loan grant because this city never begs; that is why I asked for loans. Around 60,000 people have been affected by the Gul Plaza tragedy.” Watch here:
Social media users are calling out Salman Iqbal for offering loans instead of donations after the loss of so many precious lives and billions of rupees. One user wrote, “Keep this money to yourself. You can’t even imagine the loss, because this loss can never be fulfilled. Shame on people like you.” Another wrote, “Loan means you will get double money collection.” Another commented that he should instead return the looted money from the ARY Laguna project. I’ve started a new technique, though I’m not sure if it will work. I send him pictures of disgusting things and awareness reels explaining how nail-biting spreads bacteria and harms the body. After showing him these reels, I’ve at least been able to cut his nails; otherwise, he wouldn’t let me touch his fingers.”
Talking about the habit of saving money secretly, Nida said, “Once I opened my son Balaj’s drawer and found a surprising amount of money. I had always believed in not giving money directly to children, so I never gave him any. Instead, I deposited money in an envelope with his teacher for his lunch, in which his teacher used to give Balaj a certain amount for his lunch. After I saw money in his drawer, I asked his teachers. I first inquired with Balaj, but he came up with different answers which didn’t satisfy me. His teacher then told me that he was getting money from them and was saving it. My daughter Sila then explained to me that he also needs money for small things and was starving himself to save. After that, I started giving him pocket money properly. Now he has a locker and manages his 5,000 rupees for the month himself.”

We, as citizens of Pakistan, don’t stand with our brothers in tragedy. In Karachi, the fire incident occurred on 17th January, yet the events scheduled for 18th January were not postponed. A charity brunch was organized as per schedule in Karachi. There was a fashion show by a big designer at Khaliq Dina Hall, which is just a few minutes away from Gul Plaza. Soon after that, a skincare launch event was held, and all these events were attended by renowned dignitaries. People were stuck in tragedy while others were enjoying events. Shame on these insensitive and pathetic people. Now you will say it’s not possible to postpone or cancel events because the money has already been spent. Why? Why? In the USA, they cancelled all events, including the Oscars nominations event. Shame on you. Be empathetic. Do stand with people in pain.” Watch here:
Netizens are of the view that Pakistan has become a country of cold-blooded people. However, many are also appreciating Mishi for being rightly vocal on social media. Fans are praising her upbringing and her thoughtful, kind, and sensitive nature:

It’s disturbing! A 15-year-old girl I spoke to is struggling due to her mother’s actions. Don’t exploit your child’s innocence for social media. Fiza Ali, think about the psychological damage you’re causing!”
She further shared Faraal’s lip-sync video on an emotional Bollywood song. Watch here:
Multiple social media users are appreciating the psychologist for raising her voice and using her platform in a responsible manner. Many called out Fiza Ali’s insensitive behaviour as mother. A few, however, thought that Fiza Ali is her mother and knows what is best for her. One social media user warned the psychologist about Fiza Ali’s expected actions. Read a few comments below:
Anam Tanveer is an excellent Pakistani television and film actor and model who has been working in the media industry for around a decade now. Anam made her debut with the popular drama serial Mere Dard Ko Jo Zaban Milay. Her other notable television dramas include Lashkara, Do Bol, Noor-e-Zindagi, Aakhir Kab Tak, Tera Yahan Koi Nahi, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Shehnai, Bay Naam, and Woh Pagal Si. Anam was last seen in the film Jee Ve Sohneya Ji and reality show Tamasha.
Recently, Anam Tanveer appeared on the Mazaqraat podcast, hosted by Imran Ashraf. On the show, she opened up about heartbreak and loss in love.
While talking about it, Anam Tanveer said, “It’s difficult to leave people whom you love, and you should be with the one you love during difficult times. When you love someone deeply, it can become your downfall because you are constantly putting effort into a relationship and the other person takes you for granted. One should move on instead of staying in a one sided relationship. I move on—if the other person is not taking my love seriously, I leave and move on.” Watch here:
She further added, “I am saying that when you get so attached, you feel like it’s the end of your life; it feels like a downfall. But you should let go of the person who doesn’t want to stay. If the feelings are not mutual, there is no use in stopping someone. I let him go, I cried for a few days, and then moved on. Sometimes silence in love is closure. My message to my ex lover is that love is meant for brave people; a weak man can’t love another person—so yes, he was a weak man.”
Shamoon Abbasi is a senior Pakistani television and film actor, director, and screenwriter. He started his acting career through hit PTV dramas in the 1990s and is particularly loved for portraying negative characters. Currently, he is receiving praise for his role in the drama Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, where he plays Faria’s father. His other notable dramas include Akhara, Kashish, Noorpur Ki Rani, Bakhtawar, and Dastak. He has also written the plot for Jinn Ki Shaadi Unki Shaadi. He was married to Juvaria Abbasi, and they have a daughter, Anzela Abbasi. The couple got divorced 13 years after their marriage.
Recently, Shamoon Abbasi made an appearance on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where he revealed his differences with his daughter. He also said he’s against discussing personal matters on podcasts but will defend himself against whatever has been said on this platform.
Talking about differences with his daughter, Shamoon Abbasi said, “What does it mean by being there? If you talk about Anzela’s mother, we were together for 13 years. I don’t need to tell what I did for my family. We were responsible for each other. Then came a time when someone didn’t want to be with me, and we went apart. I was never a part from my daughter; we were always nearby. I was living in Pakistan, not abroad. I started noticing distance at a point. There were no birthday wishes, no New Year wishes, there was no response—especially from a kid who has a mobile all the time. Also about finances—do I need to show bills of whatever I did for her? I started noticing differences. Me and Anzela were never on bad terms, but the distance became strange. Then I spotted personality changes in her which shook me. I didn’t want to hear anything bad about my daughter, especially living in this cruel industry. For me, my daughter’s changed perspective towards life became disturbing, after which I distanced myself from her. There was never a disconnect between us; that was a big lie.”
He further added, “Maybe we could have a heart to heart conversation on few things, and talk like friends, but the things were turned so dark for me from the other side that it became so difficult for me to enter their space. I didn’t attend her wedding because of an accident, I had surgery for three days. I had a conversation with my daughter to which she was okay but it became a fuss on the internet”
Shamoon Abbasi also said, “They are both living a better life than me. They travel and are doing great, they can afford everything, so there is no argument left for me. Also, it makes me happy. I pray for their peaceful life, but my advice to them is to stop discussing me. It takes away from their professional achievements. I pray that they understand this as well.”
He also said, “I am against people discussing their lives deeply on podcasts. I mean things should be kept private. I don’t want myself to be portrayed as a villain, so I have to respond to the accusations that were hurled at me. To clarify things is my right. I am not going to run away from the hard questions.”
Sanwal Yaar Piya is Geo TV’s hit prime-time drama and one of the most-watched shows in Pakistan. So far, 38 episodes of Sanwal Yaar Piya have aired on Geo Entertainment. Despite the story not progressing much in recent weeks, the latest episode introduced Deepak Parwani as Daud’s lawyer, Khaqan. He delivered an excellent and convincing performance as the lawyer.
Viewers of Sanwal Yaar Piya have been debating the new entrant and the court scenes in the drama. Many described the character Khaqan as annoying, comparing him to Case No. 9’s lawyer, Bukhari. Fans mentioned that while they loved Deepak Parwani in Jamaa Taqseem, they are not enjoying his role in Sanwal Yaar Piya. One fan jokingly commented on his comedic portrayal, “Is he a lawyer or a CM?” Several viewers said that the court scenes in Sanwal Yaar Piya remind them of Case No. 9, saying, “Not all dramas need courtroom sequences and that these scenes in Sanwal Yaar Piya were completely unnecessary”. A fan commented, “After hearing this case and lawyer, I also believed Daud is innocent”. A few debated over the trend of including courtroom scenes in Pakistani dramas, saying it highlights the realities of the country’s flawed legal system. Read the comments:

Taking to her official Instagram account, Zainab Qayyum shared her concerns and wrote, “My feed right now is showing me two Pakistans. Recently, Hina Rizvi appeared on Rise and Shine, where she opened up about how and when to start doubting cheating partners or men.
Talking about it, Hina Rizvi said, “In today’s era, every child has a mobile phone in their hands and has access to all kinds of information. Therefore, whenever you notice a sudden or drastic change in their behaviour, it naturally draws your attention. For example, teenage boys usually have a routine of meeting friends, going out, and exploring new things but when they start hiding certain things, it becomes obvious and noticeable. A sudden change in the family members such as sneaking out is an important signal that it is time to check on them. This applies to everyone, not just brothers or sons, but men in general. In Muamma, the mother-in-law knows that her daughter-in-law does not know how to cook. They already have issues, and if he starts liking someone else’s food, it becomes a threat for her.” Watch here:

So far, ARY Digital has aired 11 episodes of Kafeel. The recent episode featured a major time jump of around twenty years, with the story abruptly shifting storyline from Zeba and Jami to their younger children and extra characters.
Kafeel viewers are disappointed with the makers for completely turning the story from a serious plot into a comedy-driven one with new actors. One fan wrote, “What happened to the show? I didn’t expect this from Umera Ahmed. She turned a masterpiece into a joke.” Another commented, “The old story was good; I am not liking the new storyline.” A viewer said, “I turned on Kafeel, but this feels like Parwarish 2.” Another fan remarked that a good, serious show has been turned into a “stupid teen comedy,” while one wrote that they were “very disappointed with how the story changed within seconds.” A fan also pointed out that the makers glorified a non-earning husband and turned him into a non-earning father. Others complained that the new cast is not inspiring and that the additional neighbour track is completely irrelevant. I can only say Alhamdulillah. If people have watched it and are liking it, I am grateful. I especially appreciate my director’s efforts.”
Talking about his father’s advice, he said, “My father taught me that acting is a craft you learn by doing it repeatedly. You learn with time, and I agree with that. Rome wasn’t built in a day, so I know there is a process to follow. I will keep working and keep learning. If not today, I will be praised tomorrow. It’s a process, and I believe in following the due process.”
Talking about Nauman Ijaz’s complaints, he said, “There are certain harsh realities of this field that we shouldn’t go into. If you specifically want to ask about them, you should call him and ask what’s happening in the industry. Yes, I come from a privileged background, but that doesn’t mean I am a born actor. People think that just because I’m Nauman Ijaz’s son, I already know acting. He set a standard over 40 years—give me 40 years, and I will prove myself. Also, I have thick skin and can take criticism.”
He further added, “My father does give me advice if he notices something in my work, but there is no specific or fixed advice.” Here is the link to the video:
Junaid Safdar’s wedding became a viral affair in Pakistan this week. Members of the Sharif family, the Sheikh family, other PML-N dignitaries, and army officials attended the event. Maryam Nawaz stood out at the wedding because of her looks and outfit choices. Several fashion critics and social media pages reviewed her appearances; however, some users criticized her, claiming that the Chief Minister stole the spotlight from her daughter-in-law, Shanzay Ali Rohail.
Recently, Provincial Minister Azma Bokhari responded to the criticism surrounding the wedding and Maryam Nawaz.
Talking about the matter, Azma Bokhari said, “There was an excessive criticism of Maryam Nawaz. People claimed that the Chief Minister was dressed and styled so well that the bride did not get the spotlight. Maryam Nawaz is naturally a very beautiful woman, and whenever she appears, people are drawn to her. Allah has made her beautiful, and every woman has the right to look beautiful because Allah has created women that way. Some women are exceptionally charming like Maryam Nawaz, some are ordinary like us, and some do not look presentable even after using filters. No one is born bad; people become that way due to circumstances. I do not want to comment on anyone’s upbringing. Every parent tries to give their children the best upbringing, but sometimes, despite good upbringing, the results are disappointing. I am sure such parents feel embarrassed by their children.” Watch video here:

Talking about it, Munazzah Arif said, “People face different situations. If I talk about my relationship with my husband, he was a quiet and shy person. He used to communicate with me through gestures. For example, when sitting with his parents, if he wanted a glass of water, he would indicate it through gestures. He used to listen to his parents more than me. Initially, I used to be aloof because I knew he wouldn’t talk to me. Yes, I had good communication with my father-in-law. He was quite friendly. Nowadays, men take care of their wives openly. My sons do take care of their wives, and I’m happy to say this. Sometimes I feel scared that someone might be offended through their care for wives, but I like seeing my sons make breakfast for their wives. My daughters in law will start doing house chores once they become mothers. Thankfully, we have house help.”
She further added, “Initially, I used to address him as ‘aap,’ but in my room, I used to say ‘tum.’ I believe that more than the way of addressing someone, tonality matters.”
While replying to the question about her daughter’s nikah, she said she will make sure her daughter reads it. She added that her daughters-in-law also read the complete Nikah Nama, as they shared PDFs with each other. The families studied it carefully, settled Haq Mehr and other rights. She mentioned that they had pre-nikah meetings, after which they felt quite relaxed at the events. Watch here:
