Hira Haider tweeted the famous singer Ali Zafar that she will be eternally grateful and it would be a dream come true if Ali answered 7 of her questions. Aftab Iqbal and Sohail Ahmed are the two legendary Pakistani electronic media figures who have been in the news for the last few days. The two made headlines after Sohail Ahmed’s aggressive remarks on Aftab Iqbal in Ahmed Ali Butt’s Eid Special Podcast. In the podcast, Ahmed Ali Butt asked Sohail Ahmed about Aftab Iqbal’s opinion on Aman Ullah and him. Sohail Ahmed didn’t like Aftab Iqbal’s opinion and and called him out in harsh words. The podcast initiated a war between the fans of the legendary figures. Their fans started calling out each other, Aftab Iqbal’s fans started degrading Sohail Ahmed whereas Sohail Ahmed’s fans criticized Aftab Iqbal.

While this social media trolling was still going on, Aftab Iqbal published another video in which he requested his fans and followers to immediately stop trolling Sohail Ahmed. He said, “Whatever is happening between me and Sohail Ahmed is the matter between the two brothers, and we might be indulging in such quarrels in future too, but that would purely be our personal Matter and no one is allowed to troll anyone in this. Also, trolling someone like Sohail Ahmed is totally unacceptable. Don’t you know what kind of an actor he is? Who so ever is trolling Sohail Ahmed, is trolling Qavi Khan! These people have served Pakistan with their amazing craft for decades. They deserve to be celebrated”.

He further said that people have used derogatory language and went below the belt in expressing their opinions which is unacceptable. He said he is hurt on Sohail Ahmed’s trolling and it should be stopped right now. He also called out the YouTubers who crossed the line. Aftab Iqbal is a famous, talented, and learned television host, columnist, and writer. He gained popularity in 2009 with his show Hasb-E-Haal on Dunya TV. Aftab Iqbal was also famous for his columns which he used to write for the reputable Pakistani newspapers. Aftab Iqbal is also known for his show, Khabar Naak, which he started on Geo TV. Later on, he took his show to other platforms as well. Currently, he has been conducting Khabarhar on his own YouTube channel. His recent shows are grabbing a decent viewership on YouTube. Aftab Iqbal is a brilliant film critic and he loves to see visually pleasing art pieces, and currently, he is enjoying Netflix’s Heeramandi. The popular series has already been garnering a lot of praise and success.

Aftab Iqbal has reviewed Netflix’s Heeramandi on Haseeb Khan’s popular YouTube channel, Ganda Aanda. In the interview, Aftab Iqbal himself shared that he has been watching Heeramandi and would definitely want to talk about it.

While reviewing the film, Aftab Iqbal said, “Nowadays, I am watching Heeramandi on Netflix. I would really like to talk about it. I will briefly review it. It has a lot of good things. Well, it has flaws too. The series has some beautiful aspects, but it could have been a memorable masterpiece if the director had avoided a few big mistakes. I would like to talk about those mistakes, although, people don’t give good advice, and some don’t even want to hear good advice. It’s good that Sanjay Leela Bhansali didn’t make a film, otherwise, it would have been the biggest disaster”

Talking about the views and popularity, Aftab Iqbal said, “The season is getting good views and ratings because people want to see such things but we are interested in the impact it will leave. Gathering good views is not a big thing for a director like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he can gather views within minutes. There are projects that get views in tonnage, but actually, they are garbage. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a great period film director. If Sikandar Yunani had to produce a film, he would have definitely assigned it to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he’s that brilliant. He has created the best ambiance and costumes in his films. If I had a powerful position or a kingdom, I would have commissioned Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but I would also have given him an assistant who would tell him that it isn’t necessary to shoot everything in Taj Mahal, likewise, he shot Heeramandi on Gangubai’s set. He also distorted the facts. The sub-continent has a popular culture, but they featured boldness in the film . It also lacked the element of drama, but he is successful in bringing up a visually pleasing masterpiece, which is his signature style”. Here is the link to the video:

Aftab Iqbal has a long and illustrious career. He has done several back to back shows which proved to be bangers on television and he managed to bring a revolution in the comedy theatre industry with the opportunities he created. Aftab is also a journalist and columnist and he has worked in these two positions for ages now. He is also very blunt and always says how things look to him. He gave an interview to Hafiz Ahmed and shared a lot of insights into his life and work.

He addressed the Sohail Ahmed controversy and said that yes they have differences where he felt he needs to debunk some of his claims but he mostly thinks that Sohail Ahmed is a very good artist and he loves his work. That was the reason he wanted him for his Hasb e Haal when they were making the show. He further shared that he actually wants to apologize to the whole Hasb e Haal team today as his leaving put a spanner in the show’s running and therefore in the work and salaries of the people working there. He should have remained there and not taken the decision but he feels everything happens for good as he was able to rescue the careers of many comedians including Amanullah.

He also shared his salary on Hasb e Haal which was 5 lakh rupees when he was brought in for the show. He left when he was getting 15 lakhs from the show. He later on got into Geo and he was earning 15 lakhs when he started. He left Geo when he was earning 85 lakhs per month. He later joined Express at 75 lakhs with 70 lakh for his show and 5 lakh for his column. He left it when he was getting around 1 crore 25 lakhs from Express.

Shahid Afridi has parted ways with his team, Peshawar Zalmi.

Afridi announced on his twitter that due to personal reasons, he is detaching from Peshawar Zalmi due to personal reasons.

He also expressed his best wishes for the team and that he knows that his fans his decision and be with him wherever he goes.

Shahid Afridi made headlines a couple of days ago but unlike him this time it was for wrong reasons. Boom Boom Afridi was caught on camera doing, what apparently looked like and was assumed to be, ‘naswaar’ during live ISPR Defense Day event.

In a recent interaction with the press Shahid Afridi was questioned about this viral video and what happened next is hilariously unbelievable. When the reporter asked what he’d like to say about the video that went viral Afridi found himself brainstorming thinking of what video the reporter was referring to. After a while he remembered the headlines probably and smirked a little.

After that he said he still has it on him and if any of the reporters want to try some he can give it to them. He further stated that if anyone wants the refreshing taste of ‘laung’ and ‘soonf’ they can come to him.

What happened after this is something we didn’t expect. Boom Boom actually took his favorite laung and soonf fix out of his pocket and made the reporter smell it. After which he asked him if he is sure it’s soonf and laung or does he need further proof. One of the most thrilling match of T20 Asia Cup 2022 took place yesterday, after Pakistan won the match against Afghanistan by 1 wicket.

The shooting of the drama was wrapped in June 2023 and it is now all set to be aired on ARY Digital.

In his interview, Affan Waheed talks about how he survived through his depression time. He said:

“I have been through depression and I am a self-taught survivor of pain. For some time I was in a dark room and I think if you want to live in a closed dark room then it’s fine because you don’t have to fight a lot.”

“Celebrate 2-3 days of your depression and sadness but after that pull your socks up and move on in life. There are people who are in a miserable state and we have to be grateful. I believe gratitude changes a lot.”

The Do Bol actor further said, “There is a clinical depression in which chemical imbalance occurs and in this situation, you have to go see your doctor and don’t care about society’s judgement. You have to go see your doctor no matter what. Your mind runs your life so why can’t you go to doctor for it? There is no shame in it, let people say what they want to say, it’s your life and you have to live it.”

While sharing advise for people he said, “If someone is going through depression show some empathy and urge them to go see a doctor. That’s mandatory I believe.”

Talking about the experience of working with each other for the first time, Dur-e-Fishan shared an interesting anecdote. “Initially, Affan wasn’t sure of working with me. He told the production house as well that he don’t want to work with me and then he came on the first day after our first scene and told me that this was his first thought,” she shared.
