Now, Ushna Shah and Faysal Quraishi are set to reunite in an upcoming action-packed series, which is reportedly produced by Ushna Shah herself.

Titled Chasing Shadows, the action-packed TV serial features an ensemble cast including Ushna Shah, Faysal Quraishi, Affan Waheed, Ali Rehman, Mehar Bano, Sehar Afzal, and Asif Raza Mir. The drama has been written by film writer and director Abu Aleeha and is directed by Asad Mumtaz. Chasing Shadows is currently being filmed in Karachi.

He further added, “It was my first Umrah, and I had been planning it for ten years but somehow I couldn’t go. I travel across the world—it’s just a four-hour journey, and I don’t even have budget issues—but I didn’t make it despite planning and effort. Now I genuinely believe that Allah calls you at His own time. No matter how much effort you put into planning your journey, you only go when Allah calls you.”

He continued, “I reached the Haram at 1 a.m. It was crowded there even at night. I performed Umrah, completed all the rituals, and made that video. It was a great experience. I used to laugh when people said to me that once you visit the Kaaba, you crave to go again—but now it’s happening to me.”

I wrote multiple dramas like Ye Zindagi Hai, which ran for six and a half years. It’s a record in Pakistan that no drama has ever run for that long with such high ratings. Then I wrote “Ye Kaisi Mohabbat Hai. Ramzan transmission is also scheduled and I really love doing Ramzan transmission. It is a great learning experience.
