Veteran actor Firdous Jamal, who has recently seen in TV serials ’Romeo weds Heer’ and ’Hania’ threw some major shades at gorgeous Mahira Khan. Faysal Qureshi is a senior and accomplished Pakistani actor who has been a part of showbiz industry since a long time. Faysal has been a part of various blockbuster dramas and films till date. Lately, Faysal Qureshi was spotted in “Good Morning Pakistan”.
Faysal Qureshi while sharing a hilarious shooting scene during his early career, mentioned that “We were shooting drama serial “Tere liyay” in Malaysia and I remember Sara Loren used to take a lot of time to get ready for the scene. Our producer Baber Javed was continuously irritating me so asked him not to disturb me otherwise I’ll drag the shoot and he was like ok I’ll see what can you do. Sara and my romantic scene was going on and what I did in between was I picked Sara up and threw her in water and the shoot stopped for an hour or so.”
While sharing another hilarious story from Azerbaijan, Faysal stated that “We faced a lot of difficulties while shooting in Azerbaijan due to different language. What happened was my stomach was upset and we had to buy yogurt from the market. We were just trying hard to make the shopkeeper understand that we need yogurt. We tried a lot but he couldn’t understand what yogurt is. We went inside the shop and the moment I picked the pack of yogurt, I told him this is what I was asking for and what he replied was ‘Ohh Dahi’ and I was speechless at that moment.”
People were curious to know about the reason for ending this show and Faysal Qureshi came forward and said, “I am not sad about the decision made by the management. I am aware of the conditions of showbiz and we need to work on that. I am very thankful for the management that they tried for the show despite the conditions. In the end, it’s all business, we get paid for it and we need to understand that if show is not earning then it’s better to shut it down. The people who are saying that it’s injustice with them they should understand.”
He further added, “I have done morning shows and now I see what changes come into my life. Yes, the big change will come that I focus more on acting.”

“This person on my TV show told me that he was making a documentary on the importance of acting studios in Pakistan for which he had traveled to different places including India to see how their studios work. And while he was in India, he went to Anupam Kher’s acting school where the students were being shown Bashar Momin. So given that the serial is being taught across the border, is a trendsetter in direction, lighting and visual techniques, which are now being copied by other Pakistani dramas, and has a huge fan following, it at least deserved some sort of recognition.”
He also said,
“Even if they didn’t want to nominate me, they should have at least nominated the writer, the director or the other members of the cast who performed brilliantly. Even if they weren’t going to award us in the end, the serial deserved nomination in at least one of the categories.”
Instep raised the issue and also said that LSA Jury had been unjust. In a way this is Geo television’s protest because they wanted Bashar Momin to be nominated.
