Zoya Nasir is a popular Pakistani TV actress who gained fame through the drama serial Hania, alongside Junaid Khan. Her other notable dramas include Zebaish, Deewangi, Mere Humsafar, Badzaat, Kaffara, and Noor Jahan. Zoya Nasir is currently receiving praise for her highly popular drama Bas Tera Saath Ho, written by the late Saira Raza, who was also the writer of her previous hit drama series Humsafar.

Recently, Zoya Nasir gave an interview on Rise and Shine, hosted by Nadia Khan. In the show, she opened up about the death of Bas Tera Saath Ho writer Saira Raza.

Talking about Saira Raza, Zoya Nasir said, “There were some quotations and poetry that she used to send me frequently, so I had all those chats saved. Her death was traumatic because it was sudden and I wasn’t in Pakistan. Saira Raza was quite active; just three days prior, she was in the studio after completing around, I think, 24 episodes. She sat with the cast and the entire production team, and she also hosted them for dinner. Then just two days later, we heard about her demise. I was out of the country at that time, but when I heard it, I couldn’t sleep all night. At that time, I didn’t want to believe it. I thought it was a rumor, a mistake, or some system error because it was so sudden. You know, if someone has a long illness, you somehow accept it and prepare yourself, like, ‘Okay, this is going to happen.’ But she was a lively person—very happy—and suddenly, she passed away (returned to Allah).” Watch here:
Saira Raza was around 45 at the time of her death. She suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to the hospital, but she succumbed to it.
