Turkish dramas outshine popularity of Indian films/dramas in Afghanistan

Like Pakistan, Indian films/dramas are also widely viewed in Afghanistan, the western neighbor of Pakistan. But now this popularity is outshined by Turkish dramas. Currently around 200 Turkish dramas are being telecasted across various television channels in Afghanistan.

One such drama is ‘Valley of Wolves’ which is very popular in Afghanistan. The drama is based on a fight between Turkey and American forces in a village of Iraq. Apart from Television channels, the sale of merchandise of this drama is also on the rise in Afghanistan which includes tea shirts and other stuff. According to one such salesman, he easily sells 500-600 such tea shirts daily. The characters and artists of this drama are seen in posters and on cars and buses and even chewing gum wrappers in Afghanistan too.

Turkish Dramas On Hum TV

0

The latest news is that Hum TV is going to be the next in line to air dubbed Turkish plays despite of all the criticism that the other channels that are airing the dramas are facing. It is a very disappointing development because Hum TV is one of the most favorite Pakistani channels. Hum TV has always promoted good Pakistani dramas. It has made a unique name for itself in all these years. It is very sad that Hum TV feels that they may lose the TRP race if they do not air Turkish dramas.

Even with all the wonderful dramas that are airing on Hum TV right now, they must feel that it is not enough. We may hear a lot of criticism against Turkish dramas but this move by Hum TV goes to prove that people do in fact follow these plays and even prefer them over some of the Pakistani plays.

It seems like the craze for Turkish plays is rising like an epidemic and all the fears and insecurities of our celebrities who were against these plays are turning out to be true.

Since its inception in 2005 Hum TV has worked very actively to revive the drama industry in Pakistan and has done a very good job of it too. From time to time some Indian shows were being aired on Hum TV but never has been a foreign drama aired on the channel. From time to time some Indian shows were being aired on Hum TV but never has been a foreign drama aired on the channel.

What do you think about this latest development? Do you think Hum TV is justified in taking this decision? Does this mean that no channel in Pakistan can be on the top until and unless it airs Turkish dramas? Please share your views.

Turkish artist as brand ambassador for a clothing brand

Indian content and celebrities are seen in abundance on our screens from past one decade since the beginning of age of private satellite channels. The other country which successfully challenged and replaced the Indian content (to some extent) is undoubtedly Turkey. Turkish dramas were welcomed whole heartedly and now all the media houses play Turkish dramas. The pioneer in this trend is Urdu One, which aired the super hit drama Ishqe Mamnu paving the way for others too. In compariosn Turkish drama are of superior production quality and story wise much better than then the crap and senseless Indian drama.

After dramas, turkish fashion is also impacting our fashion scene, where few Turkish fashion brands have already opened outlets in Karachi. The success of turkish dramas has also introduced new faces of turkish celebrities to television audience. Many Pakistanis active on social media are following the official facebook pages of Turkish celebrities. This popularity also compelled a textile brand to cast a turkish celebrity as its brand ambassador. Popularity wise Baren Saat (Ishqe Mamnu, Fatima Gul) and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ (Ishqe Mamnu, Manahil aur Khalil, Noor, Kuzey Guney) perhaps tops the list of the famous turkish celebrities among Pakistani viewers. Apart from Pakistan, turkish celebrities are also widely followed in whole middle east, north africa and balkans region.

beren-saat-images-2
Beren Saat
As per TRT (state run broadcasting corporation of turkey) Baren Saat has received a heavy endorsement offer from Firdose Textiles to work as brand ambassador. The total worth of this deal is 1.5   million (15 laakh) US dollars. Baren Saat has to work as brand ambassador for the product range of 2015. The endorsement deal covers Pakistan as well as whole middle east region as Firdose Textile has plans to expand its business to lucrative market of Middle East. Middle East especially Arabian peninsular countries are known for their demand of luxurious items. Firdose Textiles has already opened its shops in Dubai for this purpose. As per TRT Firdose Textiles has sent the endorsement offer through their Administrator-Manufacturing named Asad Shoaib. Firdose Textiles had also signed Indian celebrities in recent years as brand ambassadors at huge amounts citing their massive following among Pakistani public. However the endorsement amount for Baren Saat is much higher as compared to Indian celebrities.
Ironically, it is not the first occasion to cast a turkish celebrity in Pakistan for a brand. During 1980’s a Turkish artist Naazan Sanchi had already appeared in commercial of Lux.

Turkish Actress Ersa Bilgic Bashed Priyanka

0

It seems that now Priyanka will be dealt harshly and will face a scrutiny globally. Recently a Famous Turkish actress Ersa Bilgic who has played character of Haleema sultan  in Famous Turkish series Dirilisurtugrul has called on Priyanka that being hateful and chant about war isn’t something good for a responsible  person, who is the Goodwill ambassador to UN.

Commented on instagram showing her  disappointment on how she behaved in the beatycon ‘s event with a pakistani girl she said ” being patriotic doesn’t mean you should encourage the war. You shouldn’t belong in a conversation concerning war as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, you affect many people many children as a role model and you were so disrespectful against a women who just asked you a question about your statement that you shared with millions of people on your Twitter account ”

Well it seems that Ersa bilgic is angry on the humiliating act of a Goodwill ambassador who just out of her fame and power chose world wide bashing by ridiculing a girl who asked a simple question , she is only protected by her extreamist indians and the world is seeing the face of Extreamism by Indians as they are banning their artists on working in pakistan and they are bashing pakistan globally, biggest example is Priyanka ‘s behavior at beautycon even where she couldn’t deal with a question calmly.

Tumhari Natasha – Episode 3

No saas bahu fights, no obsessed cousins, no dusri biwi scenarios, no rona dhona – just an eccentric, different-from-the-crowd girl trying to solve her problems her way! I really enjoy watching Tumhari Natasha because I think it is after quite some time that I’m watching a play that doesn’t leave me feeling depressed, disturbed or irritated. And let me confess that reviewing this play is a very simple task!

Natasha lives in the lap of luxury, but all these extravagances, fancy dinners etc have never been a source of joy for her because our heroine takes pleasure in the simplest of things. Natasha’s conversation with Kaif in the initial scenes of the episode reinforced the fact that she certainly feels like a square peg in a round hole because she is very different from the people of her social standing. I felt this was the first time Kaif actually made a proper entry because his interactions with Natasha in the previous episodes were more or less restricted to Kaif’s confessions of love, Natasha’s skepticism and nakhray and that’s about it. Kaif has warned Natasha that sooner or later it will dawn on her that she made a mistake by rejecting him and she’d end up regretting her decision. On this parting note, our heartbroken, nakaam aashiq leaves for Islamabad. I think in order for the viewers to warm up to Kaif, there should have been some more scenes involving Kaif and Natasha because we’ve seen so little that I am finding it a little difficult to take Kaif seriously. I wanted to get to know him better before deciding if I should root for him. Sohaye and Farhan don’t share sizzling chemistry, but it’d be fair to say that their scenes are enjoyable. I am guessing that for the coming episodes, the focus of the story will not be Kaif and Natasha, but Kaif definitely has a vital role to play in future.

My favourite scene from the episode has to be the one where Natasha uses her clever ‘tactic’ to trick Arsalan into revealing the fact that he has got a wife waiting for him in America! It was a comical scene because it was so very amusing to see her fiancé falling for her trick. I think this was by far the smartest move Natasha ever made, and I have to say that it was actually very nice to see a girl dumping her airhead of a fiancé – very refreshing. Sohaye’s expressions were on point and she definitely owns her character.

Natasha broke off her engagement, but I find it a little strange that she is keeping her father in the dark. I understand that Aani advised her not to talk to Afnan about this, but this was a huge step and Natasha shouldn’t hide it because I am sure that after he learns that his nephew is married, Afnan would support Natasha’s decision – why on earth would he want his daughter to marry an already married guy?

Jin logon ko bachpan mein parents ki attention nahe milti, un kay faislay kabhi pukhta nahe hotay. This play may not be very realistic, but what I do find realistic is how Natasha’s irrational and spur-of-the-moment decisions reflect where she’s coming from. It’s absolutely true that youngsters who see their own parents bickering all the time, regretting why they got married in the first place and eventually coming to a parting of the ways, are most often not mature enough to make sensible decisions for themselves and that’s exactly why their decisions lack foresight.

Darpok logon ko muhabbat nahe karni chahye. Ahmar’s track is pretty much where it was last week. He can’t gather the courage to express his feelings for Natasha. We didn’t get to see Ahmar and Natasha together in this episode, but now that Natasha has moved to Sumbal’s house for a few days, I am hoping we’d get to see some scenes with Natasha and Ahmar sharing the screen.

All in all, this was one entertaining episode. I felt that Sohaye’s voice was a little hoarse in the initial scenes so I think she had a throat ache while shooting those scenes. Did you watch the latest episode? Voice your thoughts!

P.S. I am sorry for the late review, folks! I was a little busy with some family gatherings. Sorry to have kept you waiting!

Tumhari Natasha – Episode 1-2

Directed by Fahim Burney, co-produced by Hammad Abbas and A&F Productions, and written by Fareeda Masroor and Adison Idrees Maseeh, HUM TV’s recent offering, Tumhari Natasha airs every Friday at 9:10 p.m.

Partly shot in Dubai, Fahim Burney’s signature picture quality, and with Sohaye Ali Abro and Azfar Rehman playing the leads– one glance at the promos, and you didn’t have to be a genius to figure out that that it’s Fahim Burney’s show! Having watched Khoya Khoya Chaand, Yahan Pyar Nahe Hai and Tanhai, I had prepared myself for some over the top situations and clichéd plot twists. It’s definitely not a meaty story and has its share of shortcomings, but if you have a penchant for lighthearted stuff, Tumhari Natasha may be your cup of tea.

The story revolves around Natasha (Sohaye Ali Abro) – a self-assured, blunt and lively young woman. Natasha may have all the material luxuries at her disposal, but she doesn’t have a perfect family. Her bickering parents, Afnan (Waseem Abbas) and Durr-e-Shahwar (Saba Hameed) have come to a parting of the ways. Afnan and Shahwar could never get along because of their contrasting personalities. Shahwar’s a working lady who never got her priorities straight. She always stood aloof from her daughter because her career has always been her first priority. Afnan, on the other hand, proved to be a dutiful father, and showered Natasha with all his love and affection. Since Shahwar was never there for Natasha, Aani, the housemaid, took on the motherly duties. As a result, Natasha dotes on her father and Aani, but has a strained relationship with her mother. Natasha doesn’t have much of a problem with her parents’ divorce because she believes, and rightly so, that her parents were never together in the real sense so their separation was inevitable. After the divorce, Natasha wishes to live with her father, but Afnan plans on flying to America, where his dusri biwi, Shah Bano needs his care and support because she is a cancer patient. The way Natasha puts it, her father used to be a good, compromising husband, but her mother never saw him as an important part of her life. Seeing her mother’s indifference, Natasha herself encouraged her father to go for dusri shadi! I have to say that I don’t like how our dramas always show working mothers in a bad light. There are working women who know how to maintain a healthy balance between their professional life and personal life so what’s with these stereotypes?

123

Natasha’s family life may be troubled, but her friends are sincere and caring. She confides in her best friend, Sumbal, and the two are so close that Sumbal’s entire family knows Natasha very well and Natasha visits them very often. Shahwar doesn’t approve of Natasha’s frequent visits because she looks down upon Sumbal’s class and background. I understand that the dastarkhuwan pay beth kay daal chawal khanay wala fiasco was meant to convey how appallingly low Shahwar’s mentality is, but I do feel that it could’ve been avoided. In sharp contrast to Natasha’s unhappy and tension filled home environment, Sumbal’s family is picture perfect. They may not be as well-off as Natasha, but they love each other to bits, and are genuinely concerned about one another. Natasha admires Sumbal’s family for their strong bonding and longs for the same khuloos and muhabbat. Sumbal’s brother, Ahmar (Azfar Rehman) is in love with Natasha, but he cannot muster up the courage to confess his love because of Natasha’s social class and the glaring difference between their family backgrounds.

Natasha’s other friend, Kaif (Farhan A. Malhi) is in love with her and has proposed to her, but as much as Natasha likes him ‘as a friend’, she doesn’t harbour any special feelings for him. Natasha believes that Kaif’s proposal has affected their friendship which is why she no longer feels comfortable when he’s around. Natasha repeatedly says that Kaif is her best friend, but from what little we’ve seen, I didn’t quite get the feeling that they were ‘best’ friends at any point.

Natasha is upfront about her views on love and marriage. Since she never saw her parents getting along with each other, she thinks that marriage itself is a mistake. She doesn’t quite believe in love, to which her friend remarks, ‘jin ko muhabbat pay yaqeen nahe hota, unhain hi muhabbat hojati.’ Well, I guess we can see where this is going. Unfortunately though, Natasha’s dad has got some other plans. He wants Natasha to come with him to America, and if she refuses, he wants her to agree to his nephew, Arsalan’s proposal. Natasha doesn’t want to go to America, and she most certainly doesn’t like Arsalan, but she feels that saying yes to Arsalan’s proposal is the only way her father would allow her to stay in Pakistan. Natasha gets engaged to her cousin, but tells her father that she won’t marry Arsalan before finishing her university and her father agrees, unaware of the fact that this is a sham engagement and Natasha doesn’t plan on marrying Arsalan at all. Natasha plans to break off the engagement when the time for marriage approaches. Natasha doesn’t seem to be thinking straight and her plans are obviously very irrational but the way she puts it, mein planning pay believe nahe karti, bus jo dil mein aata hai karleti hun. Aur kuch agar koi problem hobhi jaye tou baad mein fix hojaega. Umm, Geet from Jab We Met, anyone?

You’d think that Arsalan too joins the list of Natasha’s admirers, but thankfully, he is not interested in Natasha at all, in fact, he’s a married man! Arsalan’s father doesn’t have the best of intentions and he coerced his son into getting engaged to Natasha for the sake of property and jaidad. Natasha’s mother may be wrong about a lot of things, but her opposition to this engagement made perfect sense to me because she seems to have an idea about how greedy Afnan’s brother is.

PicMonkey Collage

I think Waseem Abbas and Saba Hameed don’t even have to make an effort to slide into their roles because they are always given the same dialogues in almost every project that comes their way! Waseem Abbas is not playing the cruel daddy again so that’s a relief, but he’s playing the disgruntled husband! I don’t seem to get Natasha’s father because on the one hand, he’s parting ways with his wife that too when he has a jawaan daughter, and he also has his dusri biwi waiting for him in America, but on the other, he refuses to give his daughter the liberty to decide who she should get married to. He blindly trusts his brother and nephew so he believes that only Arsalan would prove to be a good husband to Natasha.

Natasha gets to meet Sumbal’s neighbor, Qadri Sahab (Qazi Wajid), an elderly man known for foreseeing the future. Qadri Sahab tells Natasha that there is someone who loves her and genuinely cares about her, and it is with him that Natasha will find true happiness. Natasha begins to think it’s Kaif who really loves her, and though she insists that the two are and should remain just friends, she tells Kaif that if she ever thinks about marrying someone, it’d be him. At this point, Natasha doesn’t have feelings for anyone, but I’m sure that most of us are rooting for Natasha and Ahmar because not only does Ahmar seem very genuine and decent but Sohaye Ali and Azfar Rehman look really cute together.

Anaya Tumhari Hui, Tumhari Natasha etc – am I the only one who finds such titles a little cheesy?
I have no issues with the pace and I hope things don’t get stagnant. The actors do seem comfortable playing the roles they have been given. There is no heavy-duty stuff, and I am not watching Tumhari Natasha to be blown away by the story, direction or the performances. I am watching Tumhari Natasha because sometimes I feel like watching dramas I don’t have to take very seriously.

How many of you are following Tumhari Natasha? What do you think of these two episodes? Voice your views!

Tumhare Siwa – Last Torture/Episode!

Haye! Shuker! Just when I was at the brink of throwing up, this episode ended & I am so glad that not only the episode, this dramatic drama ended too which had no purpose to serve whatsoever. Before going on with the review, I will definitely say that the admins at Hum TV should really get their definition of ‘entertainment’ checked & rectified because these sort of dramas actually do not fall into the category of ‘entertainment’ from any angle.

While watching this episode, the only thought that crossed my mind was, what took them so long to wrap this drama up. Nothing that they showed in this episode was something that they couldn’t show 2 – 3 or may be 5 – 6 weeks ago. It was just as boring as the rest of the drama & was even slow because I couldn’t sit through it & watched it on the go!

Rania reached the decision that she wanted to help Samra through her husband because other than that, she saw no option & her mind didn’t work in any other direction which could’ve told her that there were million other ways to empower & help Samra. Rania thought she had an ATM card named Aazar, so she could lend it to Samra to use for her personal expenses. Well, at least Rania does earn some points for being genuinely worried about Samra & wanting to help her but Aazar & Samra were proved to be the losers right till the end.

It was absolutely ridiculous to see Aazar’s responses to Rania’s suggestions. She straight away & clearly said that she didn’t want Aazar to divorce Samra but all the answers Aazar gave told the tale of what he actually wanted. Aazar said he didn’t want to be with Samra & he loved Rania, also that he would only be Samra’s kaghazi husband but the moment he saw that he went overboard with his side of convincing, he switched the tone & all of a sudden started caterwauling about how bechari Samra is & how for him, she is only Arsal’s wife. It was so funny that where at one hand Aazar said he didn’t want to form any relation with Samra, on the other he had the audacity to say that she was his mehram & she wasn’t his bhabhi anymore. It was so obvious that Aazar was giving mixed signals to Rania to convince her to accept Samra not only as Aazar’s kaghazi biwi but as a full fledged legally & lawfully wedded wife too!!!

Oh, just as weird as her entry was, her name was exactly weird too. Lily Aunty! Who was nowhere to be seen in the entire drama, came & rescued Samra out of nowhere. At first she convinced Samra that whatever Rania & Aazar decided for her was the best but she took a U turn & ended up being a phaphay kutni who threatened Aazar with a lawsuit if he wouldn’t divorce Samra. Well, Samra proved that she was only born to be a nuisance for everyone around her. If she made up her mind, then she could’ve easily told Aazar at his face that she wants a divorce but in stead she chose to flee away & then get them both threatened by weirdly named Lily Aunty! What a beautiful way to pay them back for what they did, with that being said, at least I am relieved to see that Samra grew a backbone & decided to fend for herself rather than relying on someone else’s husband!

Also, the note at which the drama ended really made me hate Aazar even more. He didn’t grow a spine to tell Rania the depth of his relationship with Samra. If he had come clean then he would’ve looked like someone who genuinely loved his wife but in stead he chose to conceal his dirty laundry & made Rania feel even more guilty for doubting his farishta of a husband by telling her again & again that she means the world to him! Well anyways, jo karna tha kiya, shuker hai ke hamain maaf kiya!!!

Well, I think when some good dramas are going through a post production procedure, Hum TV takes out these filler dramas from their stash till the actual drama that they want to air is ready to be released. They have done it before too & they did it this time around as well, where they were waiting for Mann Mayil to complete so that they can air it on Fridays. I really hope that they don’t do it anymore because they have a duty towards their audience too who put faith in them & also with this drama, I hope the writer burns down all the pens & the papers that he has in his home because writing definitely is not his cup of tea, coffee, gulabi chai, kawa whatever! Also, with due respect, I think Sakina Samo should leave direction for those who actually know the meaning & ABCDEFGHIJLKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ of direction. Please share your thoughts about this masterpiece & tell me how happy are you to see it ending tonight!

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.

Tumhare Siwa – Episodes 8 – 14!

Ohkay so, it was after the 7th episode when I left watching this drama because honestly, I was unable to take time out for it on Fridays & also it wasn’t as special as let’s say Diyar-e-Dil that it deserved my utmost attention. So I decided to give it a go now just to see what was happening in this drama because whenever I live stream HUM TV I never get to see its promos & I am speaking about the promos because only they are enough to let you know what’s going to happen in the entire episode. So, not getting a chance to see the promo & just because of the curiosity, I decided to watch it but firstly I was amazed at myself that I watched 7 episodes in less than 2 hours & for that I thank the one who invented forward button because when I am watching such dramas, the forward button gives me this strong sense of power & authority that I have a control over such a crappy content!

I must say that all the snails & turtles in the world should be declared clear winners when it comes to comparing the pace between their pace & the pace of Tumhare Siwa. I was amazed that 7 weeks passed by & the story didn’t move forward at all & like even if it did, it was easily suitable for them to use a couple of episodes to show that progress. The last time I checked, Samra was in UK with Arsal & she was returning back after going through a successful surgery. As expected & predicted, Arsal met an accident & the funniest thing was, for 3 days Aazar & Rania were waiting to hear from Arsal & Samra whereas later when they inquired they got to know that they had left for Pakistan 3 days ago. I guess they were babysitting Samra’s daughter Neni, so it is imperative that Aazar & Rania didn’t smell something fishy because all I know is Neni would cry out loud for her parents in the middle of the night but she spent those 3 days without even bothering to remind her uncle & aunt that she would like to speak to her mum & dad!

Anyways, it was those laser eyes of Neni that helped her spot her mother in an ambulance & that’s when the ill-fated couple was found out by Aazar & Rania. Arsal passed away & Samra was stronger than ever. I must say she is Pakistan’s version of Iron Lady because this woman survived a divorce, an iddat, a re-marriage, a surgery & now a death of her ex-husband. Samra’s now struggling to cope up with her loss & Rania & Aazar are having issues with each other because Rania is feeling insecure & Aazar is too concerned about his Bhabhi & Biwi rolled into one; Samra. I know it does seem just as stupid as it sounds. So, this is exactly what has happened in these 7 episodes & I am shocked that it still is being shown on Fridays. Gone are the days when Friday nights at HUM TV used to be dedicated to the best drama of the week & this is how HUM TV has decided to pay all their fans back! I am impressed.

This story has so many loopholes & the one that remains unbeaten is the fact that now Aazar has to stay married to Samra because the hawai ‘airline’ for which he supposedly works at has refused to bear the expenses of Samra & Neni because she wasn’t married to Arsal before he died. I mean when the writer made the husband-swapping seem so easy & effortless, why is it so hard for him to turn things in Rania’s favor where Aazar would divorce Samra? The point is, now when the airline has refused to help & Aazar is forced to take care of Samra like he is supposed to bear their expenses, so he can do that even after divorcing Samra because all she needs is some decent amount of money to make the ends meet. I am sure the ‘airline’ he works at isn’t paying him extra bucks just because they are considerate of the fact that he has two wives to take care of & two branded lawn suits to buy every time he goes to a shopping mall. I must say, not that I am trying to put down the deceased but I guess he was a pilot too & which pilot in this day lives in a rented house? Also, it brings me to this point once again that if Aazar is doing so good for himself, what was Arsal doing all those years that he couldn’t even afford a home for himself. Everyone knows that pilots do well for themselves & their families but ye kaunsa ghareeb pilot tha? Also, the whole pilot thing was just a catch that they used in order to grab the attention where they wanted to show that the characters are different because I think where Aazar should be in the air taking passengers from one destination to the other, he is seen making round trips from home to school in order to pick & drop Neni & Dani? He doesn’t seem like a pilot anymore or may be he had a career switch at this age? Also, sticking an Aeroplane poster at the wall doesn’t really create an ambiance that either Arsal or Aazar have had anything to do with the airline industry!!!

Samra has unintentionally started relying on Aazar where she calls him even if she’s facing a power cut but I am wondering in a city where load-shedding is a norm, why was it so hard for Samra to sit through those hours? She still refers to Aazar as bhai but still she needs to pull herself together. Yes, she is concerned because the BBC reporters named Dani & Neni conveyed the news to Samra that Aazar & Rania had a fight because of her & she wants to help them both but it is just not happening & it won’t happen unless Samra wipes her tears off, gets on her feet & stop being a burden on Aazar & Rania. The amount of screaming Ayesha Khan did in one of those episodes was overbearing & it wasn’t even working because the whole fight seemed so forced because it was too obvious that both Ahsan & Ayesha Khan were made to blabber whatever came to their minds due to lack of dialogues as a result of the writer being too lazy to come up with appropriate lines to be delivered.

I must say, Tania & Baber impressed me with their consistency. They were absolutely lifeless when I left the show & now when I came back after 7 weeks, they were just the same, like not even an iota of difference in their routines or lives. I think they should give lessons on how one can become consistently annoying & while they’re at that, they can drop a few hints on how they remain so happily lifeless all the time. Chalo, if Tania was Rania’s well-wisher in true sense, her concern for Aazar & Rania would’ve made sense but she isn’t even sincere with her brother & his first wife, so her involvement in their personal matters makes no sense whatsoever.

Rania is obviously feeling insecure because she can see that Samra & her daughter have all of a sudden become a priority for Aazar but then if I am not mistaken, the one who initiated the plan & showed an excitement over this adventure was Rania herself. When deep down she knew that her ‘zarf’ wasn’t as big as her red pout, then she shouldn’t have given a green signal for this husband swapping scenario. I am sure that at such an age, a woman is well aware of her strengths & her weaknesses, so I am guessing that Rania knew she won’t be able to put up an act for so long, so I feel she is equally responsible for things getting out of her control!

I really like Mansha Pasha & I really find her beautiful, but honestly speaking, she is not suitable for this role because her droopy eyes magnify her sadness tenfold & she actually puts me to sleep. It is really difficult to see an already sad face crying buckets because that sadness gets to you, like seriously!!! I think the lady who has sung the OST should either stop singing or should gargle with saline water before singing another song because seems like her voice is coming from a deep dug well & it is annoying like anything!!! Everything about Ahsan Khan is wrong in this drama like his acting & expressions but what’s worst is his makeup, I couldn’t take my eyes off the 10 shades lighter foundation that he is wearing, that pink lipstick he thinks he’s rocking, that orange eye-shade & that green stubble that peaks through his foundation!!! What were you thinking Ahsan Khan? Ayesha Khan’s ponytails fail to defy her age & she looks older than both Ahsan & Mansha. I think now when Aazar is all alone after Rania has left, he will resort to his Biwi/Bhabhi Samra & they will start developing feelings for each other because that’s the universal rule of our dramas that Biwi # 1 is a vamp & Biwi # 2 is a victim! Share your thoughts if you’ve invested as much as 10 seconds in this senseless drama please!!!

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 20!

Oh well, just imagine the amount of torture I must’ve went through by putting an amazing Korean drama on hold to watch this crap in order to review it. I am sure the whole not-so-creative team behind this project must be having a celebratory party in order to enjoy their success at torturing people to the core! I must say, hats off to the producers, the director, the writer & the actors for working on such a pathetic serial & also for proving their dhitai by stretching this hideous hideous hideous drama till 20 episodes!!!

I think what Naani did should serve as a lesson to Samra as well as other parents that smartphones shouldn’t be handed over to their kids & definitely not in such a case where your kid is more pakka than it is required for him/her to be. I guess Samra told her daughter off but in stead, she chose to call Rania Aunty to submit the report of the day. Also, it was hilarious that after Naani did her work, Samra then realized that she had to snatch her phone away from her daughter. Like seriously!!! Also, Rania thinks it is Naani who needs love & attention, that’s why she thought it was her duty to remind Samra that she should do all that for her daughter but I pity Rania for sympathizing with the wrong person over there because in Samra Naani duo, it is Samra who yearns for love & attention, that is why she was arranging some of it for herself using her Aazar Bhai!

Collage 01
It is so funny that Aazar hit a jackpot where Rania herself allowed him to be with his new found love Samra, but just because he didn’t want to show the amount of laddu that were phooto-fying in his heart, he put up a GREAT act in front of his Biwi # 1 that this is something that he doesn’t want. The 10kgs of pain along with the makeup that Aazar carried on his face made him look like such a big loser & also a liar because he was lying about his true feelings. What has transpired between Samra & Aazar isn’t a secret anymore, so it is amusing to hear him say that he doesn’t want to be with Samra & that he only wants to give her some time so that Samra gets emotionally prepared for the divorce. I hate the way Aazar is trying to make himself look like a masoom gugu who doesn’t know what life is all about whereas each & everything is working in his favor.

I had a great time watching Rania giving lectures & lessons about life, sincerity, compassion to Aazar while being completely oblivious of the fact that both Aazar & Samra played a joke on her while she was away. Rania felt guilty for harbouring grudges & ill feelings towards Samra but little does she know that Samra isn’t sooo bechari & masoom to begin with because Aazar is not her Bhai anymore & that relationship status has been upgraded long time ago!!!

The word Faisla was used so much that I felt like packing them all in a carton & ship them to Faislabad!!! Bara hi koi FAISLA kar liya hai jee Rania bibi ne!!! I swear, I really hope that these guys know how pathetic they look by trying to insert emotions & feelings & seriousness in such a pathetic script. So, Rania being all philosopical & pious believes that Samra needs Aazar’s support & Aazar is not the first person in the world to have married twice. Samra also went on a NO NO spree where she kept on insisting that she doesn’t want to be with Aazar Bhai, whereas her lungs & heart were screaming YAAASSSSS at the opportunity that knocked at her door!!!

Collage 02

Also, I am amazed that the Aunty who made such a dhamakedaar entry is someone I’m still wondering about. Who is she by the way? Because now when the episode has ended, I still haven’t figured that out, lol!!! Also, Tania & Baber struck again with their miserable-selves. It was hilarious to see them fighting over Rania & Aazar’s situation & discussing ifs & buts, as if what they say is only something that Rania & Aazar follow, so that is why they were brainstorming to come up with a solution that is so not needed!!! Rania & Aazar have both told them off a million times that they should stop interfering in their lives but they don’t seem to register the loud & clear message in their empty heads! I believe if in terms of Dhitai, there’s someone that will conitnue the legacy of this team, it would be either Tania & Baber or rather Babbar Sher! Also, the whole emotional speech that Tania delivered in front of her Bhai Jaan to show how much she wants him to be happy with Rania & Daada seemed so forced because she has hated Rania to the core & now to see her lying about what Rania’s happiness means to her makes her look jhooti!

This drama is past the tolerance stage & I think they should end this crap ASAP. The writer should be ashamed for coming up with such a hideous drama & all these actors should be ashamed to have worked on it & also, the admins at HUM should be ashamed too for putting this crap at a Friday night slot. Pleaseeeeee end it ASAP & please guys, share your thoughts!

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 19!

Hmmm, that awkward moment when 40 seconds of of Lota Virus advertisement seems better than the whole 40 minute episode of Tumhare Siwa. This episode practically had nothing to be shown but they just stretched for no reason. I am not sure even after receiving viewers response why is HUM TV bent on making us watch this Friday Night Special. They should’ve done some editing & should have made this the last episode because I believe 19 weeks of this mind-numbing torture is more than enough!!!

Most of the episode showcased the flashbacks of how ‘happy’ these 4 miserable beings were together, which obviously made no sense whatsoever because the initial episodes were enough to let us know that they were close-knit. Like we know that by now because Aazar & Rania never gave much importance to Tania & Baber, who were related to them but they chose to go out of the way for Arsal & Samra, so I guess that was a done deal by now but seems like the writer & the director felt they hadn’t tortured us enough so they decided to add a few more bits & bobs to show us what these petty creatures were like, in the past!!!

All of a sudden Samra has started having thoughts about what sort of influence this whole scenario would be casting on her Naani, all of a sudden she feels her ‘kaccha zehan’ is in danger, which made me ask that where was Samra’s ‘pakka zehan’ when she was doing ‘pakki things’ with Aazar Bhai & the rest of her partners in crime? This drama defies basic sense & logic & it is sickening to see them justifying things that have happened between the newly weds Bhai & Bhabi aka Aazar & Samra!!!

Aazar must be living in a fool’s paradise to believe that his & Rania’s relationship is strong because all the things he has done when she was not around spell something totally opposite to me at least. His relation is so strong that he didn’t feel the need to call her once or tell her to pack her bags as he was coming to pick her up & still he believes his relation is strong. May I also ask, where was Rania’s baby brother in the initial episodes when she was planning husband swapping scenario that now she feels she can’t breathe without having a look at him? How was she surviving before then?

All the things Aazar said to Rania about how duty bound he is to take care of Samra & how he has some responibility towards her were a total lie. He lied so much that me made my ears hurt. Aazar swore that he can’t lie to Rania but each & every word that was uttered from his unwashed mouth was everything but the truth. Aazar is basically a sore loser & a spineless cheater who can not admit that he has actually fallen for his Biwi # 2, so in stead he tried using the bechari card to reinforce his thought process & his eager wish on Rania that Samra is the most miserable being who has ever walked on the face of the Earth & that is why she can’t do anything without his support. Aazar even tried to create a drama in front of Rania saying that he was ready to divorce Samra but then again he tried to make her guilty by talking about Samra’s lachargi, I must say, Aazar may be spineless & a biggest liar, but he sure has some brains & tacts up his sleeve because he knew exactly what he should say that will melt Rania’s heart. I actually felt bad for Rania that she fell for all the things her liar husband said because she still loves him enough to believe that he can’t cheat on her or lie to her, whereas he was doing just exactly what she didn’t think of.

The only good thing about this episode was that Tania & Baber were nowhere to be seen, at least the percentage of torture was lessened by .05%. I think this is more than enough & Hum Tv should really end this torture ASAP. They have been showing the promos of some upcoming dramas, so I guess they need to edit the remaining parts of this drama & finish it off quickly. Also, my piece of advice to the writer would be that he shouldn’t put too much pressure on his small brain to come up with such hideous scripts because we are better off without his work & Pakistani drama industry surely can survive without his sincere contribution. Please share your thoughts & please tell me that this piece of crap of ending next week?

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 17 & 18!

OMG! What did I just see!?!?! Like seriously, this drama has crossed the brain-dead zone ages ago & now they are just filling the episodes to reach the end because they had a certain number in their minds which they thought were enough to get them ratings & profits. This drama is made on such commercial basis because other than that I see not even a single reason that justifies the point of this drama.

Before saying anything, I think if anyone from any intelligence agency of the world is watching this drama, they should hire Naani, Daani or that kid-goon Numair because they do the reporting in a split second perfectly. Just when Naani saw that Baber was misbehaving with her mother, she knew she had to call her Papa # 2 & later when Tania showed at Samra’s doorstep, Naani gave reports about her visit to Aazar, proving my point once again that in this drama, the kids are being used to do the heavy lifting while the adults are too busy sorting the mess that they themselves have created in their lives.

Ohkay so, Baber has fallen for Samra, which is absolutely pathetic & later when he understood that Samra was way out of his league, he tried to sham her reputation by suggesting that it was Samra who was trying to make a contact with him. The whole baarish mai bheegna & later sofa pe aa ke behosh ho jana was a plot that set the grounds for something even more disastrous that happened between Samra & Aaazar. I really don’t understand Samra’s condition, where she looses senses just when she feels like & regains her senses when she shouldn’t actually!!! Samra & Aazar have now started to fall for each other because now they are seeing themselves as each other’s spouses. Aazar contacted Molvi Sahab just to find out that Samra is his wife, as if he didn’t know before getting a bit too comfortable & chummy with her.

Samra says she feels guilty because she thinks she is wrecking Rania’s marriage, which literally makes me want to push her into a deep pit because nothing that she will say now would undo the fact that Samra has successfully snatched Aazar away from Rania. If Samra was so conscious before, she wouldn’t have gotten a bit too chummy with Aazar.

After Awazar of Aahista Aahista & a few more, I really thought I had seen the worst male characters but honestly speaking, I am surprised that our current drama writers do not fail to surprise me till date. After all those miserable men, here comes Aazar who is beyond my understanding. He still thinks & says that Samra is Arsal’s wife, but doesn’t hold back in building a marital relation with Samra & then, there we have Rania who is dying to get back to Aazar, thinking that he can never deceive her. Why didn’t we see Rania thinking things through about the fact that when she was at her mother’s place, Aazar didn’t bother about her or Daada at all? Rania is living in a fool’s paradise to believe that she means everything to Aazar, which I believe any sane person wouldn’t claim after seeing no attempts of reconciliation from her husband. Aazar didn’t even call her once to come back & there we saw her leaving his place on her own terms & then packing her bags to come back to him on her own terms too!!! Talk about being Pakistan’s most unwanted at the moment!!

Well, if there’s one thing that Samra believes in, that is sympathy seeking. Just when she saw that the divorce was on cards, she started speaking about how bechari & bebass she is, how she will be forced by the destiny to join all those becharis out there who tend to fend for themselves. All of a sudden Samra started magnifying her issues & problems in front of Aazar to make him realize that she is literally handicapped & she can’t do anything on her own, so that he decides not to divorce her. It is so stupid of Samra that she still chooses to ignore the fact that no matter what, she has to get up on her feet & do something about her situation & if not even for herself, then for her Naani at least. I think after all that Samra has gone through, her ignorance-is-bliss mode makes no sense whatsoever. Where she should be practical, she is treating her whole life with so much immaturity. That whole dialogue that came after Samra’s drama where Aazar mentioned that she is Arsal’s wife was soooo out of the line. Seriously, the writer needs to be checked by the psychiatrist for making a mockery of the martial relationships so badly!!!

I am glad that Baber & Tania both got slapped in different ways. Where Baber got slapped physically, Tania got a verbal slap too where she was told off by Rania to not interfere in her life anymore. Tania all of a sudden has started harbouring these feelings of concern for Rania whereas there was a time when she used to hate Rania for bossing around her brother Aazar. Like seriously, Baber & Tania are just added headache provokers in this drama, but oh well, I guess they all are the same!!! Please share your thoughts about this senseless drama & openly share your detest so that the producers understand that this is exact the opposite of the entertainment that we expect from them!!!

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 16!

LOL! I actually took a cup of black coffee to prepare myself to go through this torture named Tumhare Siwa & now when the episode has ended, I am going to grab another cup as I need it again to numb the headache that this drama has caused. Oh my, Samra is such a poor soul & the life is so tough on her, so so tough that she is making it tougher for us all too but you know what, I am having a hard time having sympathy for her because, she is not using her brains & isn’t smart enough to fend for herself that is why she is now being a burden on everyone around her like her husband, her sautan & her viewers too!!!

Honestly speaking, I am not sure who in what mental state told Mustafa Changezi that he could act & I am not sure who & in what mental state hired him to play this role? He is so expressionless that his even his eyes look blank & expressionless & to see him furrowing his brows to erupt some expression on his face was actually giving me a headache. Honestly boy, at this tender age, the world’s your oyster, you still have enough time & chance to make a career switch because acting is not your cup of tea but yes, I’d thank you for making me laugh with your expressionless-ness & the helplessness that you displayed when you were told by your Jeeja to get out of his office. I couldn’t stop laughing that a guy who was so furious ran out of Aazar’s office even faster than his fury after getting a mild shut up call from him. I find it really hard to believe that Rania never ever ever in the first 13 episodes informed her dupatta-less mother & her expression-less brother about the insurance fraud that she was planning on committing because to see them worrying sick about her all of a sudden after 13 episodes is a bit hard to absorb!

Aazar is ‘supposedly’ having a hard time whereas the way he’s reacting goes to show that he is pretty much happy & settled in this new routine of taking care of Samra & Naani all by himself. I really don’t understand the majboori he refers to every single time because right now his utmost priority should be clarifying the misunderstanding that has risen between him & his first cheesy weird love wife Rania but he is a bit too concerned about Samra? Also, by showing him in a uniform after 15 episodes doesn’t really justify that he is a pilot because he ain’t flying anymore & oh by the way, this time around, even that aeroplane poster was missing from the offices that they showed!!! LOL!

Capture

Oh well, I miss nintendo days because when I was Daada’s age, I had one of those to play with but to see Apple iPhone in his hands was annoying & what’s more annoying is seeing him misusing it for his age where he is calling his father like a boss!!! Also, I must say Daada’s timing is perfect, he happened to blurt out the secret about his father that he was at Samra Aunty’s place just when his mommy entered his room. Once again, the writer is pushing all the wrong buttons here by depending on these not to immature & child-like kids to take the story forward. Also, Naani’s fixation with her Papa # 2 is beyond me. I think she takes it after her mother because she knows every the tact of emotional blackmailing. She keeps on using her Papa # 1 as a reference to blackmail her Papa # 2 & what’s funny is that Samra cries buckets in stead of stopping her daughter from being such a nuisance & yes, I say nuisance because Naani then informed Rania that her Papa # 2 was the one who tucked her in bed last night & Samra was standing there like she has no control over this aunt who happens to be her 8 y/o daughter, like seriously, why didn’t I hear Samra say to Naani ke apne kaam se kaam rakho beta, pre-mature aunty na bano!!!

You know what? After seeing Baber’s bad-neeyati about Samra, I thought I had seen it all in this drama but they surprised me even more by showing the blooming comfort level between the newly weds Samra & Aazar & I guess that wasn’t all that that they intended to show, there’s more to it as they suggested in the promo of the next episode where Baber will attack Samra & Aazar will find her in more miserable condition than she actually is & I am sure he will fall in love with his damsel in distress!!! How new right?

It is so frustrating seeing Samra worrying about her situation without moving a muscle to make it any better. Like when she knows that she can not afford such a huge house, so why doesn’t she move to a small apartment & live life peacefully there? Obviously with Arsal gone, she doesn’t need such a huge space so to see her falling short of such a common sense forces me not to sympathize with her, at all. Also that whole siskiyaan on the phone call to Aazar & speaking to Arsal’s photo later made no sense whatsoever. They are trying to show that she is sort of getting over her previous husband & is now unconsciously depending on her new husband & this wholeee transition is absolutely ridiculous. She actually has asked for a divorce but the pain that she carried on her face while requesting that from Aazar went to show that she herself doesn’t want that to happen. Samra officially has entered the brain-dead zone for me. Period!

I really don’t understand why isn’t Aazar even trying to talk to Rania? She left the house without notifying him so when he got to know about it, what has he done to rectify the situation? Aazar has even stopped calling Rania & with this sort of ignorance, he’s making it look like he was waiting for Rania to leave so that he could become Samra’s husband wholeheartedly. Also, why is Tania so out of control? Why doesn’t Aazar keep a check on his sister that she goes around blurting whatever she wants & interferes in his life like it’s her business!!!

w
vnq75

This script was hideous to begin with & the way it has been directed doesn’t make it any better. I am just wondering what the producers at Hum TV were thinking when they decided to produce this drama? Like seriously? After having such a huge experience in the dramas & having a complete know how of what appeals the most to the viewers, they decided to produce this crap? This is something that I am unable to digest & also, the actors all the actors who’re working in this drama are well-known faces & are those people who themselves have worked in amazing dramas, so what were they all thinking? This drama has crossed all the limits of sensibility & reasonability. I think they should end it ASAP! Please share your thoughts about it!

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 15!

I know it will come as a shock to everyone but I want to thank the team of Tumhare Siwa for coming up with such a perfect sit-com on Friday nights. I actually found myself laughing out loud during so many scenes because like my dear readers know, I love finding humor in the most terrible situations, so Tumhare Siwa is doing just exactly the same thing for me these days!!!

Oh well, can I start off by asking where was Rania’s family when she was planning this madventure for her husband Aazar? A family that was no where to be seen or heard in the first 13 episodes (which pretty much makes the first half of the drama) has taken a birth in a jiffy & are now showing concern like they were never out of the picture? Honestly speaking, if they were keen on showing someone as Rania’s well-wisher they should’ve hired someone older to her & in fact a sister would’ve been better because the way her brother was showing concern in such a zanana way, let’s be honest guys, no brothers talk like that. Also, I am not too sure why did they pick Mustafa Changezi to play the role of Rania’s saviour because a boy who should be memorizing nursery rhymes at such a tender age doesn’t look appropriate using such heavy words like ‘lawaaris’ etc. He is a total misfit in this drama but then again, everything about this drama is a complete miss so chalo aik aur bachkana miss hi sahi!!!

Honestly speaking, I have never heard Tania talk about anyone else, like literally anyone else except Rania & Samra. She surely has some mental disorder where she is in capable of looking at others & talking about them. Now she has directed the arrows of her concerns at Samra because she happens to be her Bhabhi # 2 after all, so itna to banta hai. All thanks to Tania that her uncle-numa husband has gotten this ‘umanng’ to get Samra by hook or by crook. I know it was awful seeing a man like Baber hitting on Samra but frankly speaking, that was the time when I laughed the most. If they really wanted to show someone who would be interested in Samra at this stage, they should’ve hired someone else because to see Tahir Jatoi doing all that was a little hmmm not a little but totally & completely awkward! Anyways, Samra not only allowed him in the house but made karak chai for him, which later resulted in another conversation between the two where the topic of discussion was Baber’s sir ka dard (which was a news for me because all this while I thought he never had a head actually) & the karak chai that helped ease his headache. Samra ke karnamon mai aik aur karnama add ho gaya, where she has now survived a flirting that Baber directed at her. She is strong I must say. One thing that’s totally bizarre is that the girl who has gone through so much is so gullible that she is incapable of reading between the lines!?!?! Why do they have to show women so weak & brainless that they can’t understand or read what the other person’s intentions are? It is ridiculous!!!

Accha, once again, I so don’t want to belittle the deceased but before leaving the show, was he even unable to get a decent car for Samra? Chalo I do understand that despite being a pilot he didn’t have a bank balance to bear the medical expenditures of Samra & he didn’t have a house of his own, but really, a pilot didn’t have a decent car…hmmm, I so am not buying that. Also, why does Samra become such a gugu when she experiences such small mishaps? Her car didn’t start & she called Aazar asking mai kya karoon? Behan please Taxi pakrain aur bachi ko lene chali jayein, shukriya! This whole dependency that Samra’s displaying is so outdated & yawn-provoking!!!

Anyways, the thing I hate the most happened in this episode too where Neni (or rather Naani, because there’s nothing child-like about her) inquired about a thing called divorce? If they really want to add these little packets, why can’t they use them with their innocence? Why do these writers always have to rely on these immature grandparents like Naani or Dada (referring to Neni & Dani) to act as reporters & take the story forward? Why is it that all of a sudden Samra has stopped speaking to Rania? Ohkay we do understand that Rania has left Aazar’s house & isn’t speaking to Samra but couldn’t they show that Samra called Rania generally & found out that she wasn’t staying with Aazar? Nope, I am sure this idea wouldn’t have crossed the writer’s mind because he was depending on Naani & Daada to do the honors!

I think this drama has broken the records of all the dragramas (drag-dramas) that we have seen in the past. 15 episodes are enough to show the misery that these immature & not so intelligent people inflicted upon themselves, so chop chop, it’s time to come up with solution & a conclusion to this dragrama ASAP, because even though it was senseless to begin with, they have shamed the senses of the viewers enough. Please share your thoughts about the sit-com named Tumhare Siwa. ;)

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 06 & 07!

Honestly, this drama is the funniest drama ever. I enjoy watching it because it’s one of those serious dramas that you derive comedy out of because otherwise this drama serves no purpose of entertainment whatsoever. This drama is good to be watched if you have like a 100 messages on Whatsapp to reply to, because trust me it will run in the background & won’t disturb you or get in your way & I say this because trust me, I know, Whatapp messages are more important than concentrating on Tumhare Siwa.

These two episodes were hilarious to say the least because they defied common sense, logic, direction, acting & basic story. Tumhare Siwa is a drama that has 3 miserable families that are dealing with each other. Two families are miserably dependent on one & another & the third family keeps on backbiting about them miserably too. I really think Tania & Babar need to get a life or if not, they should actually go somewhere far away from Aazar & Rania because all they do is talk about how ignorant Aazar & Rania are. Honestly, if Tania would’ve said all this about her brother & sister in law, it would’ve made sense because 1) she can be a typical nand & 2) she is pretty idle these days but to see Babar having a say only about his wife’s brother & his wife while sipping a cup of tea or coffee makes him look like an agony aunt who only cares about family politics but is not even an iota worried about how batameez his son is growing up to be & also not about the hideous shade of foundation that differentiates his face from his neck that too miserably as well.

Rania goes like ‘dunya mohabbat karne walon ko ye saza deti hai’, she asked such a deep (coughing sarcasm) question to Aazar because she thought whatever their miserable couple was doing for another miserable couple was right but then, this says the lady who herself is involved in a medical insurance fraud by getting her husband married to her friend, lol! I mean Rania really needs to wake up from her deep slumber because things normally don’t roll that way where people get their friends & husbands married every single day. What they did is something stupid & if people are passing comments on it, then she should just accept all the hate gracefully!

Funny thing is, Samra waited for her Iddat period to get over making me think that Iddat khatam ho gai lekin Samra khatam nahi hui. I really think when she had this much of time remaining, then why couldn’t they come up with a better plan or option like let’s say making a Facebook Fund Raiser Page for Samra with the title reading ‘Save Samra’s Life’, because trust me, that would’ve earned them enough amount in a very little amount of time as well (& trust me I have seen that happening too). The doctors clearly said she hardly had 2 months left but funny is, she survived the mental trauma, a divorce, an iddat, a re-marriage to Aazar ‘BHAI’ & also survived through the time period that the UK consulate must’ve needed in order to process her & her ex-husband Arsal’s visas!!!

Oh, I learnt new details in the previous episode where Molvi Sahab did mention stuff like ‘Samra Ahmed WALD Jameel Ahmed’, showing that Samra does have a father named Jameel but where is Mr. Jameel? Why is he so oblivious of his daughter’s medical condition? I really fail to understand why these 6 people namely Aazar, Rania, Arsal, Samra, Tania & Babar have no relatives to turn to at all? No Chachi, no Pupho, no Maamoon, no Taya, forget about these no Ammi Abbu? :/

Honestly, when they know that Numair’s a goon in disguise, why can’t they supervise their kids’ every time they are ‘playing’ together? How much time does it take to just keep a check on them? Sorry to say but to see Samra & Neni in the hospital at the same time made me think that the writer’s too much in love with the idea of beemar mareez & beemaris. The conversation Tania had with Babar about Aazar being infuriated over what happened with Neni was just so bizarre because it actually told us that the writer & the director had no content to add in this episode therefore they told Tania to come up with whatever dialogues popped in her mind to actually cover a few seconds of this content-free episode. I really think they are pushing their luck by giving coverage to Neni & Dani thinking that would stir some emotions or sympathies in us but sorry to be bursting the bubble here, those macro-shots of Neni with the ketchup-clad face made us feel absolutely nothing for her & oh, I wonder when Samra & Arsal went to UK, why didn’t they tag Neni along? At least she wouldn’t have been used so casually by the writer to move the story forward & more like filler in this episode.

Oh, the preview of the next episode was hilarious. I hate to say but this star-crossed couple has failed to stir any sympathy at all. I am sure Arsal will leave Neni & Samra on Aazar’s mercy because he is done with his part & then the actual drama will begin where we will witness some cat fights between the love & misery struck trio of Aazar, Rania & Samra. Oh well, as much as I have seen of this drama, I am sure those cat fights would be more interesting than to listen to baseless & meaningless conversations (if they even qualify as conversations) of Babar & Tania!!! Tumhare Siwa – Episode 05!

Ohkay so, on a scale of 01 to 10, this drama scores 100 points for being cringe worthy. I really thought by this time HUM TV admins would’ve understood that this drama is not a perfect idea of viewers’ entertainment but sadly, they continue to disappoint us. I really hope that the moment some good drama is ready to be broadcast HUM TV puts it on this slot & shifts Tumhare Siwa to some other time slot where it doesn’t bother anyone.

To be honest, this drama is full of glitches & if you’re doing some personal pampering like foiling your nails or in a mood to give yourself a pedicure, you can let Tumhare Siwa play in the background because it doesn’t require your utmost attention to understand what they’re up to & what turn the story’s taking because they have no story to begin with actually.

So well, the only topic that was discussed throughout this episode was how Arsal & Samra are na-mehrams & how it isn’t appropriate for them to live under one roof & guess who was the one most concerned about this whole fiasco, yes you guessed it right, it was Tania who has no life whatsoever & who isn’t even friends with Samra & Arsal as well. At least, I was relieved to hear the word ‘iddat’ being mentioned in the right context but then as much as iddat is important to be observed, I guess Samra’s treatment is equally important too & that brings me to this question that when Samra fainted, the doctor suggested them to take Samra for the treatment without a further ado so then how come getting her divorced from Arsal, waiting for Iddat & then getting her married to Aazar seemed like a brilliant idea to all four of these not-so-intelligent people? I mean every single minute which goes by without Samra having herself treated is a minute wasted so why are they ready to wait for 3 months till she gets married to Aazar & gets her medical covered because if I remember properly, the remaining time span that the doctor predicted that Samra had was only 2 months? It just doesn’t seem right, does it? That is why I believe that this drama is full of glitches & the writer had no grounds to introduce the dusri biwi scenario but he just went ahead thinking people won’t try to fish out for some sense in this senseless story but sorry to be bursting the bubble here Mr. Writer, we wouldn’t just let it slide so easily if every time a so-called writer tries to insult our intelligence.

The most hideous bits of this episode were the conversations that the so-called innocent kids Neni & Dani had with each other, where they went ahead & discussed details like sleeping patterns of their parents. Which kid does that because if you guys know any such kid, you should talk to their parents for not raising them properly? I really am so ticked off to see how they try to emphasize the fact that the kids are very innocent, yet they depend on them heavily to take the story forward by having them discuss such serious issues like divorce & difference of opinion that a couple often has which leads them to have a fight or two. The details Nani Jaan Neni & Dada Jaan Dani discussed were gruesome & to hear such words from kids of their age made it even more disgusting. I really hate to say the way they use Namoona Numair as a goon is ridiculous too. I think this is going to be the pattern they will stick to, Neni & Dani will get a good beating by Numair after every 3 – 4 episodes & Tania will get even more coverage than she deserves. Also, had someone actually figured out the role Babar has in this serial, because as far as I could understand he has nothing, absolutely nothing to do in his life but still he talks big trying to make himself seem useful than he actually is.

It is ridiculous how Rania is ruling Arsal & Samra’s lives. I think instead of focusing on how to built a wall between Samra & Arsal, they should just let her be because the mental trauma that they are causing her can push her to death as well & Samra was right in stating that too. Instead of going to such lengths to save her life, they themselves are shortening it by depressing her even more. The promo of the next episode suggested that Aazar & Samra are going to get married but I really don’t understand how Samra’s still going to be alive if 3 months have passed already & she didn’t even get started with her treatment? Oh, also, they will show that Aazar hasn’t even gotten married & the Sautan in Rania has already been born, how exciting & new right? LOL! Anyways, share your thoughts about this masterpiece please.

Tumhare Siwa – Episode 04!

LOL! What’s gone into HUM TV program planners? I am sure a lot of people will agree with me on this that the last thing we want to see on our screens as a Friday Night entertainment is a group of ill people who have nothing but terminal diseases & transplants to talk about. Like, being in Middle East right now, Friday night is supposed to be our weekend & honestly, Tumhare Siwa is definitely not a perfect idea of a weekend entertainment.

I think Aazar doesn’t realize but he has taken a lot from Arsal already & is bent on taking more. First his ‘Gurda’ & now his ‘Samra’? Like honestly, I think Arsal needs more sympathy than anybody else in this drama because he has given a lot more to Aazar than he realizes, but yes, I have a question to ask which I am asking out of sheer curiosity & that is regarding Arsal & Aazar’s jobs? Like being Pilots, transplants & a missing kidney didn’t cost them their jobs? Please enlighten me about this issue with your answers. :)

So, once again, Tania & Baber are missing a lot out on life because they are not doing anything about it & are only worried about Aazar & Rania. I think Tania & Baber need to go out for a holiday or indulge themselves in some activity because they are wasting their lives & our time due to sheer fixation with those who are least bothered about them. Tania & Baber’s conversations are so repetitive that I can easily mute their scenes & know exactly what they are talking about because they have nothing else to talk about!!!

Neni’s declining health forced Samra to agree to get married to Aazar & get medical help because now she wants to survive for the sake of her daughter. To be honest, this drama has given a highlight to some unique treatments for such serious diseases that we have never heard of, like Samra getting married to Aazar ‘Bhai’ to survive. To be honest, Samra referring to Aazar as Aazar Bhai seemed so force where I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes.

Finally the faux bearded Molvi Sahab showed up again & he reminded Arsal about how Samra won’t be his wife anymore so there are certain boundaries that he’d need to take care of but I so wished that he’d talk about the ‘iddat’ too but seems like that important aspect of divorce didn’t cross his mind too & he was focused on delivering the dialogues that were meant to be muted by the editor later.

Finally, Samra has signed the divorce papers & she is not married to Arsal anymore but she chose to stay in the same house but then all this is pretty confusing considering how they ignored Iddat, they wouldn’t have given a though to Samra’s whereabouts too. The preview suggested that Samra would be forced by her Sautan Rania to stay at their home because apparently those people who have never made an appearance are talking about them. I really am sure that from now on, they wouldn’t focus on Samra’s deteriorating health & would focus on the misery of the newly divorced couple, lol! I must commend the writer for introducing such a unique treatment for a lady who is suffering from illness. The direction of the drama is mediocre & the sound quality of this episode was absolutely poor too because quite a few times due to a lot of bass, I really couldn’t figure out what they were saying. Please share your thoughts about this masterpiece.
