The much awaited and much controversial Hum Awards 2022 finally took place in Canada and it was definitely a star-studded affair. Many of our industry giants were spotted at the event and we saw some real camaraderie, some great performances and then the trophies being held out to the winners. The show also had two of our huge starlets from the 90s as well as the Superstar, if we go by her film, of today. The highest paid actress in Pakistan, Mahira Khan is on a roll these days. The lady is riding high on the success of her Bollywood debut Raees and is the most talked celebrity on both sides of the border.

In one of her earlier interview, Mahira revealed that she went into MTV for an internship with her fiance (now ex-husband) and landed a gig as a VJ!

I came in with my fiance who works at MTV to do an internship and one of the VJs left when I joined, so my boss said “You can do it” and then there was no looking back.

Pakistan’s leading humanitarian and social welfare services organisation, the Edhi Foundation is partnering with Coca-Cola for its traditional Ramazan fundraising, without the leadership of, Abdul Sattar Edhi.

The campaign titled “Bottle of Change” will execute across the country and Coca-Cola will double all the donations received during the campaign. With Coca-Cola running a special campaign, Edhi foundation expects a steady stream of donations.

Mahira Khan was already very famous in Pakistan, her role as Khirad in the hit drama serial Hamsafar won the hearts of many in India too. The people in India are awe struck by Mahira Khan’s beauty and talent. The director of the upcoming film Raees Rahul Dholakia which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead shared that Mahira Khan’s popularity was not the main reason for him to choose her to play the heroine in his film.

“Mahira’s popularity is just an added bonus for us. We signed her because the film is set in a Muslim ghetto of Gujrat and the character needs to posses a particular look that we found in her. We were lucky to come across Mahira,” said the director of Raees. Let’s not forget that this is not the first Bollywood film that has been offered to Mahira. She rejected all the previous offers.

People in India already love the pair of Shahrukh and Mahira because it is fresh and they look good together. When asked if the Pakistani diva will have any visa issues the director said, “There are no problems with American  actors coming here. Why should  there be a problem with a neighboring country? Having said that, let me add that her presence is the producers’ issue. My job is to shoot the film. And this time I’ve terrific producers.”

Mahira Khan will be playing Shah Rukh Khan’s wife in the film. Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of a gangster in the film.

Mahira Khan had gained immense popularity after she was signed against the the King Khan of Bollywood for Raees, by Rahul Dholakia. However, things got tense between India and Pakistan after the Uri attacks, prior to the its release and that resulted in missing of promotions by Mahira Khan.

Mahira however bore no grudge and took it all in a stride. In a recent interview, expressing her views on working in Bollywood and then being banned from promotional events, she said, “Whether it was Shah Rukh Khan or Rahul or Ritesh Sidhwani or Farhan Akhtar, they all have been so amazing. At the end of the day, it’s about films, which is bigger than all of us combined. The film needed to be released. The film had to do well. They were all amazing. They still are.”

Rahul Dholakia truly appreciated her dedication and optimism and blamed his people for turning against her. He tweeted,

We all know that Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi are best of friends. Both the stars have always been very supportive of each other. They are soon going to become co-stars too with the upcoming most anticipated film of the season The Legend of Maula Jatt. Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi are also together in the Zalmi camp with both being the brand ambassadors for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL 4. Mahira Khan revealed that when she was a kid she was not ever beaten up by her father but her mother did beat her. Her mother beated her with hangers but with not a perfect shot, says Mahira Khan.  

Mahira Khan also informed that now her mother is not well at all. Very early in their lives her mother could not run because of some issues in her knees. It was sad but as Mahira says that on the other hand it was a good thing for her brother and herself because in this condition their mother could not run after them to beat them up.

We all have seen Mahira Khan give her best on the television screens. Either it’s a hit Urdu drama or a blockbuster film, Mahira has proved herself a real superstar. Many celebrities dream of working with her but she is very selective with her work. She only choose those scripts that she feel comfortable to do.

Mahira Khan recently appeared as a guest at Bol Night with Ahsan Khan. He asked her random questions with all her fans want to know about her personal and professional life. During the conversation, Ahsan Khan asked her with which Pakistani actor she wants to work?

To Ahsan’s question Mahira replied that she want to work with famous Noman Ijaz. She further added that she has not worked a lot on the television screen, there are still many celebrities with whom she wants to work. Noman Ijaz, Sania Saeed, young and beautiful Sajal Ali are some few actors with whom Mahira Khan to work with.

You guessed it right, it’s Salman Khan, during an interview with a publishing site, the actress said that she was totally not expecting the tremendous response which Raees got after the release. She further said that though she would prefer working with King Khan again, but she still wishes to work with Salman Khan.

Mahira also shared that she cannot forget the role of director and producer Shoaib Mansoor in launching her as she got fame after working in his films. The diva further revealed that she is currently working on different projects including television dramas.

There were rumours that Mahira Khan has been demanding high paycheck for new projects after her successful debut in Bollywood. However, she strongly bashed all the baseless rumours.

The Fashion Pakistan Week has seen some of the finest collections by the leading designers in the country being showcased by the most lovable and talented stars of Pakistan. Mahira Khan was also seen showcasing Umar Sayeed’s collection along with her upcoming film “Ho Mann Jahan” co-stars Sheheryar Munawar and Adeel Hussein. This walk on the ramp was not like any other. Mahira Khan appeared on the ramp alone in her own style with the heavily embroidered duppata covering her face. She also walked the ramp with Adeel Hussein, both these stars performed on a song. They looked very cute and people can’t stop watching the videos that were made by those present there. Then all the three stars appeared on the ramp and once again performed on a song. Sheheryar Munawar took the lead this time around and the other two followed. All of them thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
