Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay – The Finale

Faraan Uncle summed up the essence of life in these two lines, life is all about hope and despair; there are times when we laugh so much that our bellies hurt and others when we are so disillusioned that we don’t know what the next moment holds for us but having faith that there will be
better times is what helps everyone go through life. After years of living a very difficult life Zain finally got his family and friends back. Faraan uncle’s faith in relationships was restored and his loss redeemed. Zeenia and Zarak realized that life is about so much more than proving your point, putting oneself first and taking revenge. Sanya holds friendship before everything else and Kabacha will continue loving Sanya just like he always has.
The light hearted family scenes were all wonderfully scripted and acted out to perfection. The way the entire family overhears all the conversations and very actively participates in convincing Zeenia to stop Zarak from going back was beautifully done. I have to say that like many other previous episodes Syra Yusef yet again stole the show today. Every girl should have a sister like Serena in her life, who is wise, fun, intelligent and caring. The way Serena explains to Zeenia how relationships work in Pakistan made for few of my favorite lines, ‘yahan aisa hi hota hai, dusru pe haq jitana, dusru se apna huq mangna, beghair bataye ghur puhanch jana, khana mangna….apni murzi ke kupre pehnana…yeh sub yahan ke culture mei hai, is se apnayat zahir hoti hai”.
I have to say that I wanted this finale to be a little bit more about everyone than the main focus being on Zeenia and Zarak mainly because Alishba Yusef and Shehryar Munawar failed to connect with me and although there were few times when I wanted the two of them to be together but my heart was not with them, the way it was with Kishmish/Serena and Kabacha/Sanya. The way it was done was more fun than touching because of the reason I mentioned already. The Zeenia/Zarak confrontation had the potential to be extremely powerful but the scene completely fell flat because of the lack of chemistry between the two artists.
My favorite scene of this finale had to the very brief King Kong and pink panther scene in the end because it reminded me of the old times and the way Sanya and Zain used to be. I wish we could have seen more of that. Seeing the family back together again, happy and smiling with all the problems sorted out surely brought a smile to my face.
I really wanted Sanya and Kabacha to end up together but honestly speaking I am glad it happened the way it did because I was having a very tough time imagining the two of them being married. Friendship no doubt is a very strong bond and one that can see people through thick and thin. Sanya holds Kabacha’s friendship and the way he feels about her very dear and she confesses that she missed him when he was away.
Overall I really enjoyed every episode of Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay right from the start and I am going to miss Serena and Kishmish and Kabacha and Sanya in particular. It was a simple story told in a very honest way. I have to say that Haseena Moin, Mohammad Ahmed and Jaleel Akhtar did a commendable job of carrying the Tanhaiyan silsilay forward and the effort Marina Khan put into directing the show was quite evident. For me all the old artists were a delight to watch all over again but Behroze Sabzwari in particular managed to achieve the impossible by brining Kabacha alive on screen after so many years. Kabacha always was and always will be my most favorite character. Out of all the new additions I have to say that Syra Yusef was the most impressive, she was simply adorable as Serena and totally won my heart.
A very special thanks to the entire team of Tanhaiyaan Naye Silsilay for brining this fun filled family drama to our television screens. I have to give special credit to the writers for very gracefully tackling with the ‘disappearance’ of Zara. I am going to miss this play; it was short, sweet and gave me a break from all the routine dramas.

Overall Saba it was a good finale but yes wanted to see a little bit of everyone.
last episode was like a gift neatly packed and bow tied over it:) though I agree that I wished to c other characters more than Zeenia Zarak problem. anyways we r not disappointed,thats the main thing. to make a good sequal specially of a hit drama is quite a dfficult task. great job.

As much as I like the actors in this drama and their acting, its story line was as much disappointing! I was excited to see the sequel of Tanhaiyan but to be honest the story just didn't have any story… after watching the last episode I just pondered what was Marina or the writer had in mind and what exactly were they trying to show. Nevertheless, it was disappointing but the 2 sisters were a breath of fresh air.

I LIKED ALL THE CHARACTERS AND EJOYED THE SCRIPT. MARINA DID A GOOD JOB, I LOVE THE WAY SHE DID THE REMAKE OF THE END WITH ORIGINAL TANHAIYAN!

was very good and very short drama ………All the new actors performed well accept new Qamar Who was acting on the role of zarik..However sarina,Zeenya and zara done very good performance.

making a new drama is an easier task but making a new squel is very hardtask as we have attractions,expectations,memories of childhood with tanhaiyan 1….but muhammad ahmad and marina khan thought to make new tanhayian that is very impressive which no one does before……..i think we should appreciatethem for selecting such a hardtask andit was best….u can see this drama even with your dada dadi…..we want dhoop kinaray now….thumbs up for all of you…..

It's really a superb drama, who gives a real entertainment, its short and so sweet and cute, really no non-sense comedy no vulgar jokes , every character has done a marvelous job, very special thanks and congratulating to whole team of Tanhaiyan naye silsilay.

very short drama, the story was not that strong may be thats y they ended it up, wish it could have extended to 4-6 more episodes
It was intended to be a 13 episodes serial perhaps because they wanted to leave us with happy memories:)
I did not like this sequel since the beginning but the last episode made me sad. I even cried and wept. because it made me remember my childhood . My Mom loved first Tanhaiyan. One thing I remember the last episode was shown very late at night and she could not watch it but it was repeated on the request of viewers in day time. I remember that day , My Mom My Father, elder sisters and brothers all were very excited. Now there is neither my Mom nor Papa in this world. Even that house has been rebluild in a new design, Nothing can come back in this world again. That day was memorable. I cried recalling that day, my dearest Mom, my loving Dad. that house and that episode which now I have in DVD also.
Awwww such a heartfelt comment. Your parents may not be in this world anymore but the memories will remain forever. May their souls rest in peace. TNS was all about family ties and that is what I liked about it the most, no saas bahu scenario and second marriages etc. Thank you so much for sharing the memories relate to Tanhaiyaan with us, it really means a lot to me.
one thing to say that dis drama introduced our childhood characters to our new generations…………………like my kids…. they loved it so much… they know NOW about kabacha bibi aani pink panther king kong… and adding more to their lists are zeenia/serina/zarak and above all kishmish….jst the way we use to enjoy it way back……………..hats off to the entire team for bringing the magic back to the screen…………………………also i hv tons of FAMILY memories.my both parents r not alive .. my all brother n sister settled in their own lives………………….. gone those days…………….but thanx to TNS hv NEW memories with my NEW family…….. will remain in oir hearts for along long long time………………gonna miss it a lot!!
It was a good serial overall. Very light story apart from today's tensed stories based on divore, 2nd marriages, psycho husband's etc.
But Sania should have got married to Qabacha. But still, very nice.
I LOVE this whole sequel and for sure i m gonna miss this show … Marina khan has done splendid job an the whole crew has done marvellous job too …..
Superb review Fatima and mind blowing finalle just loved it. I am gonna miss it big time this is the only drama thay my husband watch with me and my whole in laws family watch it in Pakistan this was a full family drama. I am so thankful to the entire team of TNS that they decided to make the sequel and gave us such a master piece. Everyone was superb and it was gr8 to see how whole family was there to give Zeenia happiness. It was good to see whole crew at the end. Qazi wajid was superb through out Syra yusuf was a gr8 discovery and qabacha was superb as always. Marina Khan did an excellent job in directions. I loved the script so much writers did gr8 job with the disappearance of Zara as you said. Fatima just loved the pics you posted with this review nice selection. Good job keep it up.

You are absolutely right, it was a family drama with the right proportion of comedy and emotions. Disappointing drama, absolutely lacked the magic of hasina moin's plays,thank God didn't take long to end.
last episode was better than the whole drama but i wish that they would have made a better sequel. it was not carrying gracefully the load of previous spectacular "tanhayian" drama.
