Dishani Chakraborty likes to be called by her nickname that is Dishi. Dishani has been the most pampered child in the Mithun’s family and he cares for her even more than his own real children. Dishani has three foster brothers including Namashi Chakraborty, Mahaakshay Chakraborty, and Ushmey Chakraborty. Dishani did her schooling at Monarch International School, Coimbatore, and Tamil Nadu Penn Foster high school and also completed her higher education from the Distance education in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Although Mithun never intended for Dishani to join Bollywood, she had a strong will to enter the Bollywood industry and to pursue her professional career in acting.
In 2017 she started her career in acting with a short movie named ‘Holly Smoke’ which was written as well as directed by his brother Ushmey Chakraborty. Dishani also appeared in short films like ‘Underpass’ in 2018 and also in the short film ‘Subtle Asian Dating with PBM’. It was also reported that she auditioned for Karan Johar’s movie Student of The Year 2 as well in 2019. She is very active on social media platforms. She learned the skill of acting from the Jeff Goldberg Studio, Mumbai, and New York Film Academy, New York City.
The famous story of Dishani’s adoption by Mithun Chakraborty happened in the 1990s. It was at that time when a Bengali newspaper highlighted news of a baby girl being thrown on the roadside near the dustbin by her parents. The newspaper also mentioned the fragile condition of the baby girl in the report. Soon the government officials and the NGOs came into action and rescued the baby and took her to hospital. It was by a sheer incident that Mithun Chakraborty read about the story of the baby girl and her rescue in the newspaper and instantly decided to adopt her for the sake of humanity. He also got full support from his wife Yogita Bali when he expressed his feelings about that baby girl with her. They finally adopted her after all the paperwork and the legal proceedings and succeeded in setting an unprecedented example for the generations to come.
Dishani has a special love for dogs and loves to keep them as a pet in her place. Her favorite clothing brands Gucci and Ralph & Russo. her favorite food includes pizza and sushi. Dishani was born on 24 October and celebrates her birthday with great enthusiasm every year.
