Jamal Shah is a well-known Pakistani Actor, Director, and Singer. People also know him for his scriptwriting, songwriting and social work. Jamal has been an integral pillar of the Pakistani Media industry back in the days when the only channel the audience had was PTV. Jamal Shah was born in Quetta in 1956 and made his debut in 1991 in popular movie K2. He received immense love from his first performance and since then there has not been a stop.
Academically, Jamal has always been into arts and filmography. It was for his love for this genre that he received his master’s degree from the National College of Arts, Lahore in 1983. He later obtained a master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Jamal has also done his Masters in English Literature and the combination of all his degrees makes him outstand from everyone in the industry. It was not only in Pakistan that he acted but he was also a part of renowned mini-series titled Traffik produced by Britain’s Channel 4 about illegal drugs and the role of Pakistan, (Germany) and Britain in its production, transportation, and usage. Traffik was nominated for six BAFTA Awards, winning three. It also won an International Emmy Award for best drama.
Talking about his family, he was first married to the famous actress Faryal Gohar but the marriage could not work out and they parted their ways. It was later then Jamal married to Amna Shah from whom he has his kids. Jamal is very close to his kids and often share their pictures and progress with his fans.
