The Pakistani film industry was flourishing in the 60s and 70s. It is known as the golden period of cinema in the country. From the national language, Urdu, to all regional languages, we had multiple films coming out every year. Many big names were established both on and off camera with starlets who have ruled both the silver screens and later on television screens.

This is commonly available in the South Asian region and Nasir Adeeb was asked about its abundant alleged use by writers and how it helps with the writing process. Nasir sahab was candid and shared what he knows about its use in the writing industry.
Nasir Adeeb revealed that charas does help in writing as it helps with your focus. It centralizes your mind and you can then focus solely on the subject that you are writing about. That is how it is effective in the writing process. He added that charas is not drugs but “faqeeri dhuwan”. One should only smoke charas if their brain has been blocked.
