Rania decided to leave her husband’s house in order to escape Begum Nawab’s pressure, but she ended up dropping unconscious on the floor outside it, and lost her child. Her MIL continued to be the evil person she is and just after Rania came back from the hospital, she ran into her room to grab the khandani bangles she had given her! When all the lectures on the family’s heritage, khushion ka tootna and Rania’s stupidity were given, she got up, and left the poor gal sobbing. That’s pure evil, people! As if the weird makeup wasn’t enough, the hint of humanity that had appeared in Begum Nawab’s character in the previous episodes, vanished, and now feeling for her is impossible. When she told Wajdan the story of her struggles, I actually felt for her, but the way she mentally tortured Rania was despicable!
One thing I can never understand about the women of this house is that their makeup never vanishes. When Rania came back from the hospital, after losing her child, her makeup was perfect!! Moreover, it was unbelievable to know that Begum’s bangle snatching did THAT to Rania’s hands. The bangles were not even kaanch ki! We already feel a lot for Rania and I don’t think we need abusive scenes for that!
The only person I really feel for, is Anoushey’s husband. He really cares for her and she is doing a mistake by treating him like this. The decision she made, of running away from her house was stupid. How was she going to live with Wajdan while being married to someone else?
(Nawab) Safdar Shah, portrayed by Aamir Qureshi is a wicked fellow who wants to take control of the Riyasat. For that he decided to kidnap Anoushey and send her and Wajdan out of the country so he could have his raasta saaf. Atleast that’s the part of his plan, he revealed to the two.How did he know that Anoushey was gonna leave her house? That’s a riddle which I could not solve, just like the riddle of why a “Nawab” would sit in the jungle all the time, like a daaku.
Anyways, Anoushey mistakenly put her phone in her purse before leaving the house and on the way to the airport, her brother messaged to give her the news of her father’s heart attack. Suddenly, Anoushey got all worried for him and forced Wajdan (with her tears) to let her go to the hospital. Wajdan headed back to Safdar’s place to tell him that him and Anoushey won’t be running away now.
Wajdan Shah did not stop to think why Safdar was being so helpful to him. Just like he didn’t bother to ponder over Anoushey’s father’s changed behaviour in episode 3. You have got to stop trusting people like this Wajdan!
Begum’s entry in the last scene (kind of a rescue mission for Wajdan) and her warning to Safdar angered him even more. He will strike with a bigger plan next time.
Let me start by confessing that I truly felt for Shayan today. He is one decent guy and I don’t think he deserves to be treated that way. Even though the circumstances Bushra and Shayan find themselves in are anything but normal, Shayan has always been kind and understanding and therefore I won’t side with Bushra this time around.
I don’t know if it’s just me but seemingly, the first half of this episode promised a change in Bushra’s approach towards her relationship with Shayan. I was dreading to see more of Shoaib-Fizzah marital problems but I think this track was tackled rather well and the writer intelligently used it to make Bushra acknowledge Shayan’s kindheartedness. Shayan is the kind of person who’s always there to lend a hand and that’s what I like about him the most. Taraqqi hogayi- Bushra and Shayan finally had dinner together (in the absence of Sabiha :P). I was actually enjoying Bushra’s sharmeeli, half-smiles and I was thinking to myself: oh, they are off to a new start! Alas, all good things must come to an end!
It was crystal clear that Shayan had entered Bushra’s room to collect his cell phone and to let her know that his flight to Dubai has been postponed. After witnessing Bushra’s reaction or I should say- overreaction, I am actually concerned: is our protagonist losing her mind? She misunderstood Shayan’s intentions and it’s clear that she has quite a low opinion of him. Look, if I put myself in Shayan’s shoes, my reaction to this accusation wouldn’t have been any different because Bushra has been treating him like a punchbag. Don’t get me wrong, I really don’t want to encourage physical abuse but I do feel that Bushra kind of needed that slap for the re-awakening of her conscience and sanity. This ‘slap’ also served as a reality check that Shayan harbours feelings and can run out of patience because he’s a human being too, you know.
The post-slap scenes suggest that Bushra’s opinion of Shayan has changed for the better because she looked rueful when Shayan was leaving the house. I don’t know if I should hope for something better but I somehow have a good feeling about the future installments. Also, Bushra has finally decided to spill the beans about her relationship with Shayan. I think this is one smart move because it’s now or never to let the cat out of the bag. The longer she holds it back, the more suspicious this whole situation would get.
Tabdeeli aa nahe rahi- tabdeeli agayi hai!! Yes guys, Sofia (Bushra’s mother) is regretful for all the times she sided with her husband and took Bushra for granted and I am beginning to like her for that because at least she has the heart to accept where she was wrong. She is no longer afraid of her husband’s temper because her first and foremost priority is the well-being of her daughters. The reality checks she kept throwing Nasir’s way were done beautifully and I just lovedd her dialogues. Tab biwi ban kar socha tha. Ab maa ban kar soch rahi hoon. I must say Saba Hameed nailed the role of a regretful mother!
Affan Waheed’s performance is quite impressive in this serial in particular. Mawra Hussain looked gorgeous throughout the episode but honestly speaking, I MISS our old Bushra’s simple and natural dressing. This sudden change in the wardrobe is beyond me!

Bashar Momin fans must be waiting for Ushna Shah’s return, or as Piya Mann Bhaye’s official page puts it, Bashar Ki Rudaba‘s return, but that’s the only thing to look out for in Geo Entertainment’s upcoming drama, produced by A&B Entertainment, directed by Ali Faizan and written by Asma Sayani.
The promos promise us the done-to-death story of one sister grabbing the other one’s husband. Ushna Shah is the antagonist, the materialistic Haniya, who doesn’t think twice before she snatches someone’s belonging, just because her dil likes it! She is the opposite of her elder sister, Mantasha (Rabab Hashmi), who wants nothing but a muhabbat karne wala shohar.
We hear Haniya’s youngest sister, portrayed by newcomer Shehzeen Rahat, uttering the dialogue that is calling for trouble, “Tum aapi ka dulha bhi mat chura lena.” And we all know that’s exactly what Haniya will do.

Shah Rukh, who has already met Mahira and seen her television work, is quite impressed with her talent. “Rahul (Dholakia) liked her. She suited the film a lot. I have seen a small part of her television work. I have met her and she is marvellous actor,” the 49-year-old said. To be directed by Dholakia, Raees is being co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.
Haha, to be honest, I enjoyed watching Zidd tonight. This episode was a blend of grave & funny situations that are often seen happening in a typical shadi wala ghar, where each & everyone is involved & contributes to the wedding in their own way.
So, Saman is all about honesty. Like I sussed, she wanted a right to file for divorce in her marriage contract. Saman took a right stand but like always, her way was wrong & just because she was well aware of the fact that none of her family member would understand what she was asking for, she decided to take situation in her hands. Her father took a firm-hand at her obviously because he couldn’t deal with her anymore as Saman has lost her credibility & he was by no means ready to support her. Where it did look like she’d surrender to her father’s order but by the end of the day, she did what she deemed fit only after she got the assurance from Omar that she wanted. It was only a matter of one question & she sealed the deal. I like Saman for the fact that she is very blunt, bold & straight forward. Yes, people like her often face repercussions for being honest but Saman feels she can never let go of her honesty & I like her character for that.
As expected, Omar’s family came to Pakistan to shop for a typical, shareef, desi & rooted sort of a bride for Omar but they were taken aback by Saman’s personality because she is anything but that. She is headstrong, opinionated & exactly the girl Omar’s mother didn’t want him to get married to. I was pleasantly surprised by the way Omar & his father reacted because they didn’t find anything odd in the demand Saman put forth. She was lawfully entitled to what she asked for & they didn’t seem to mind. Omar’s father Suhail thought she was different but good & Omar liked her for her honesty which was great.
Saman also decided to let the big secrets out. She felt it was Omar’s right to know everything about Saman’s life because she couldn’t live with the burden of hiding something from him. Obviously, it looked like Omar was shocked with what he heard as he was expecting Saman to have a clean slate but after watching the preview of next episode, I think Omar felt he was cheating Saman who knows nothing but honesty because he was carrying a baggage of guilt as he was hiding something himself. I found it very interesting that being a girl, Saman was gutsy enough to speak openly about the decisions she has made in her life while Omar being a liberal guy from USA couldn’t bring himself to tell her the truth before getting married to her.
I think it was for the first time that we got to see Saman’s jovial side which I enjoyed watching the most; otherwise she is always seen as an angry bird that is unhappy & irritated. She actually seemed amused at how Omar reacted when she laid bare her secrets in front of him. I also enjoyed watching the scenes of Sonia, Raza & Appu when they were discussing the decoration of Saman’s room. Another scene that was done brilliantly was of the misapprehensive conversation between Omar & Saman’s fathers. I am sure Suhail would be speaking about something entirely different but just because Saman’s father knows that Saman hasn’t done anything to make him proud, he therefore acted like a person who is guilty for something but doesn’t want to admit. The acting of both the fathers was brilliant in that particular scene & it was written really well too.
I think they’ve very nicely blended the situational comedy in this drama that deals with serious issues that people face because of their family members. Saman tests their patience, puts them through emotional challenges every single day but somehow they find a way to deal with it. I am glad that this drama is now getting interesting. The preview seemed enticing too because looks like Omar will reveal the big secret that he was hiding from Saman as well. Let’s see what happens next. Please share your thoughts.
After the rather “quiet” episode last week, Chup Raho returned this week with plenty of screaming and some violence! Isn’t it ironic that a play titled Chup Raho is actually so loud! After kicking Rameen out of his house Numair managed to get rid of Azar too! All of us already guessed that Numair’s business was bound to suffer a big loss because Azar was not in the right state of mind to run a business. Well, I am sure we are all glad that he is finally out of the house because there was absolutely no reason for him to continue living with Numair and Manal in the first place. I wonder why Azar kept on insisting that Naila had cancer but all the conversations about Naila’s illness suggested that she has a serious disease. Numair’s plans to take his daughter abroad for treatment will not be materialized now because he might not have the resources to take his daughter to another country.
Rameen falling for Zarina’s kasams and walking on the road in the middle of the night with that T-shirt and jeans on was beyond unbelievable. A girl from her background won’t even feel comfortable wearing such an outfit at home let alone in public! Why does Rameen care so much about Azar even now? There was absolutely no reason for her to approach Azar but she did not only approach him but was also genuinely concerned about him! How can she go on loving someone who has let her down in more ways than one? Does she blame herself still even after everything that Azar did? Rameen found out about Naila’s condition from the lady who works in Manal’s house but she never called her sister although I would have expected Rameen to do just that since she has such a big heart! I am surprised that Rameen has her phone with her because I don’t remember her carrying her phone when she was thrown out of the house.
When Azar knocked at his sister’s door, it seemed like it was very late in the night mainly because of the reaction from his sister and also because Azar crossed paths with Rameen. Rameen told Madam that Zarina goes to the factory from 12 till 5 in the morning but later on we were shown Azar having dinner with his sister and husband like it was dinner time! Zarina was smoking while Rameen and Madam were talking, I am sure anyone can smell a cigarette from such a distance but Madam did not have a clue that someone was smoking just a few steps away from her!
Tonight when Zarina found out about Rameen’s background and after the conversation she had with Rameen it seemed like she was going to have a change of heart but the preview of the next episode suggested something completely different. How can someone who has been betrayed by her own sister trust a friend (more like someone Rameen barely knows) the way Rameen trusts Zarina? It would have been far more convincing if Rameen was being forced into going out with Zarina instead of being convinced that she can do her no harm! I am looking forward to Yasir Nawaz’s character’s return in the next episode. Numair told him a lot about Rameen so he must know her by name as well. Will he prove to be the night at the end of the tunnel? Will Azar kill himself? These are the questions the preview of the next episode left me with.
Honestly speaking I have come to the conclusion that there is no point of trying to make sense out of this play, I am watching it to see how things work out for Rameen and whether Numair especially gets to pay for his mistakes or not!
Well, I have lost count of all the dusri-biwi-type plays I have watched but have I ever come across a Biwi No.1 as gullible as Aisha? NO! I for one have never seen her THINKING about Hassan’s sudden aloofness. She is actually shown sympathizing with him?! Look, I have got nothing against wives who are NOT shukki and trust their husbands to death. But the writer here wants all the women to know: if you can’t interrogate (sorry, that’s the only word I could think of :P) your husband like a typical, shukki wife, you are bound to lose him to the ‘other’ woman! And what’s worse is that I feel the writer also wants us to sympathize with Hassan because she is trying to portray that it’s not his fault if he’s in love with two women at the same time! My God! Hassan is lying through his teeth and *sighs* Aisha falls for his lies every single time. Dear Hassan, when you love someone, you don’t cheat on them like that.
Amir is back into action with flaring nostrils but I hold Farah and her parents responsible for his frustration because he was known for his short temper and obsessive nature. Despite being aware of that, they ditched him one week before the wedding so what else do you expect? Amir needs to get a life! Doesn’t he have a job or something?
Okay so Farah turns out to be way too faint-hearted and a few threats from Amir were enough to give her goose bumps. Hey, if she was so timid, I wonder why she didn’t think about changing her cell phone before tying the knot with Hassan. Also, Hassan is a rich guy so how about hiring a security guard? The reason why ARY is not churning out masterpieces is that they’re way too busy with the promos! Farah’s sister came in for a late night visit and in the promos they made it seem as if Ted Bundy is rising from the dead LOL!
In my last review I talked about how Farah is proving to be a saabir, docile Biwi No.2. Her outburst today didn’t come off as a total surprise because obviously, Hassan is having a hard time juggling multiple priorities. Hassan’s approach is anything but fair, however, Farah always knew what she was signing up for. But it took a couple of monologues for our titular character to realize that she is wrong and her piya is right.
Throughout the episode, I was trying to work out what is soooo strikingly amazing about Hassan that two pretty, educated, confident women would do absolutely anything to earn his nod of approval? If you have it figured out, please enlighten me!
I think Amir will enlighten Aisha as to what Hassan’s trips to ‘Islamabad’ (ahem) are all about and I am so with him on this one LOL!
I am in love with the OST and it is apt in regards to the mindset of our Biwi No.1 and 2 :P Ohh and, it’s not like Hassan can’t afford electricity but why is his house soooo dark and gloomy ughh?!! And yes, maybe I noticed it too late but Aisha’s smile is so cute <3
Last but not the least, someone please do something about the twirling in the opening sequence. Its way toooo lame and cringe-worthy!!
Sanam Saeed’s wedding pictures are gradually being shared with the public. The Mehndi pictures of the stunning actress show that all the bigwigs of the fashion industry attended the function. Sanam Saeed wore a pink dress and her husband wore a dark rust Kurta with a black sleeveless jacket.
Here are some pictures of the couple with their friends:
The Mahiyya fame girl Annie Khalid has married Saad Ahmed Khan in a simple ceremony in Lahore which was attended by close relatives and friends

I’m sharing this picture only for my fans and well wishers, I would appreciate and request to refrain from any foul language. Thanks,
A university is a place where lots of people, from different backgrounds mix together. They have different ways of thinking and different outlooks on life. These people study together and mingle. Then at last it’s time to go on their separate ways, and that’s what happened today in Aik Pal.
Mus’haf went back to his village and Noor Fatima to her’s. Bareera’s hatred for Mus’haf remained. Tum aao shadi par….tumhein pata chale ga mere jesi larki ko purpose karne ka kya anjam hota hai…It is really unconvincing why Bareera hates him that much. She is a beautiful girl and she knows that. It’s not like Mus’haf was the first guy to propose her?
But let’s leave that, and come to the wedding of Omair and Bareera. I thought Bareera could afford the best dress in the market but her dress was totally disappointing and old-fashioned. I love the colour purple but even that could not make me like the dress. Added to this, the jewelry and makeup were totally weird.
Omair had told Bareera in the previous episode that he would not live in his parents house. Then why was he happily living at their house after the wedding? A directional loophole maybe.
Anyways, as expected, Omair’s parents showed their aukat after the wedding and began their demands but I am glad Omair took Bareera’s side. Till now, he is not as bad a husband I had thought he would be. I liked it when he shot down his parents’ attempts at grabbing Bareera’s money. But with his father’s business going down and his mother’s parlor their only source of income, I am sure Omair would be forced to look for a job and he has already stated that he can not do it. That will lead to trouble.
Mus’haf on the other hand was happy doing what he loves, i.e, teaching kids in his school. We were introduced to a new character, Rani, portrayed by Haya Khan. She is the chauhdry’s carefree daughter and has developed a liking for him.
One of Noor Fatima’s university friends sent a rishta to her house. Noor Fatima asked for some time from her taayi before the wedding and she threw a tantrum about it. Not to mention, the namak mirch she put in before telling this to Imran. He ran to Noor Fatima’s house and defamed her. Apne university ke dost se shadi karogi! Whatever happened after this was highly unconvincing. In order to prove herself right, she decided to get married to him immediately! Sounds crazy right?
The happenings of today’s episode were interesting but some of them were totally unconvincing and I wish the director would have paid more attention to them. What do you guys think?
In the last week of 2013, an Indian film Dhoom 3 was released which made all time new records of revenue collection on Pakistani box office by earning about 230 million – 240 million rupees (23 crore – 24 crore). In December 2014 another Indian film PK is released in Pakistan and is attracting huge viewership across the provinces of Punjab, Sindh and Federal Capital Islamabad..
As per the distributor of the film, PK is on its way to reach the landmark of 150 million rupees in coming weeks on Pakistani box office.
Here is the report of English Daily Dawn regarding the overwhelming success of this film in Pakistan.
The world loved Aamir Khan as the smooth criminal on wheels (throwback: Dhoom 3) and loves him even more as the sceptical alien in PK.
Mammoth audiences in India and Pakistan have flocked to cinemas to watch the actor who has lived up to his reputation and success as an artiste who gives viewers plenty of food for thought.
After crossing INR300 crore in India, Rajkumar Hirani’s PK has triumphed in Pakistan, with rave reviews and repeat visits.
Speaking to Dawn about the success of PK which is expected to cross Rs15 crore in Pakistan, Manager Marketing from Distributor Club (PVT) Ltd, Hassaan Rizvi said, “The primary reasons for PK’s success are Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan.”
“Perhaps another reason might be that the film has presented Pakistan in a positive light. Also, many people are coming because of word-of-mouth—for instance if one person watches the film, he is returning with two to three more people to view it again,” he added.
Cinema goers in Karachi are well-impressed with Aamir Khan’s loveable depiction of the unaware, inquisitive alien.
“I watched the film three times,” says one fan, Anum. “Firstly because it has Aamir Khan and secondly it addresses the theist question in such an effective manner. With religious extremism on the rise in both India and Pakistan, PK is an excellent film that deals with such pressing issues,” she says.
“PK is intelligent and funny. While people are calling it preachy, I’d beg to differ because I didn’t feel any imposition in the film. And yes I would see it again,” comments Qurat-ul-Ain.

The most searched celebrity in Pakistan in 2014 was the Hollywood actor and comedian Robin Williams who died on 11 August 2014 at the age of 63.
Aatishe Ishq is a new drama on Urdu1 airing every Saturday at 9AM. The play stars Moammar Rana, Mawra Hocane, Irum Akhtar, Rubina Ashraf, Jahanzeb Gorchani and others
It’s really funny how not only the house of Wajdan Shah is the same as Bashar Momin’s, but the hero has specially grown a beard, just like Bashar did. Bas the FBI agent type people of Bashar’s house have been replaced with these turban-wearing guys.
Wajdan Shah is desperate. His mother is hell bent on marrying him to his bhabhi and he wants to get married to Anoushey. Hmmmm…..kya kiya jaye? The perfect solution comes to his mind. Court marriage.
Anoushey tou tayyar betheen theen, magar Begum Nawab uss se bhi zyada tayyar. She stepped in the moment Wajdan and Anoushey were all set to tie the bond and ruined their attempt at a happy life. After that, when Wajdan tried to have a Nikkah at a mosque, she sent Anoushey’s father, with a speech on how he had grew fond of Wajdan and would love to have him as his daamad. Mein khud tum donon ki shadi karwaun ga.I can’t believe how Wajdan and Anoushey fell for this trap and decided to go back home!
While Wajdan became the ruler of his riyasat, and put his official turban on his head, Anoushey got forcefully nikkah-fied to Yasir Mazhar’s character. As Wajdan basked in the glory of the turban, thinking he had won at all, Rania told him the truth. She told him that he had been cheated by his own mother.
Wajdan rushed to Anoushey’s house, only to hear a story of mazloomiat from her father. I totally understand his point. Being a father he has to protect his daughter from the dangers of the world and he did just that. The man she is now married to can give her a prosperous life, a life Wajdan could never give her, if he left his ameer family. Anoushey’s father begs Wajdan to let his daughter go, and Wajdan listens to him. He knows that he can’t ever have her in his life.
Begum Nawab tops the list of unreasonable mothers. I don’t understand her character at all. She was widowed at a young age, and suffered a lot that’s why she wants to give Rania and her child a peaceful life, but why make your own son suffer? She knows that Wajdan loves Rania like a sister and he would never let any harm come her way then why does she want to ruin both their lives?
Some negatives that I noticed today are, firstly, Asma Abbas’s makeup is really annoying. It does not suit her at all. I was surprised that Rania started wearing jewelry a few days after Farhan’s death!! Wajdan’s sherwanis are totally disappointing. Being the hero, his wardrobe could have been much better.
The next episode promo was exciting and unpredictable. I am waiting to find out what happens. What did you think of the episode?
PTV just launched its new season and in one of their new shows is Kis Se Kahoon. I must say, with dramas like this, PTV could easily climb the staircase to the top once again. Here are 4 reasons why:
1. The Story and its unpredictability _ Not your regular shadi-based drama:
Mr and Mrs Qureshi (Mohsin Gillani and Seemi Raheel) have a daughter Hadiqa (Sajal Ali). Mr.Qureshi has a job in Saudi Arab because of which he and his wife reside there, but his mother (Samina Ijaz) asks him to let her keep Hadiqa. He agrees, thus Hadiqa grows up in a village in the Northern Areas of Pakistan, among snow, trees, her grandmother and the village folk, learning all kinds of sports. Hadiqa is a bubbly, confident girl who has everything a person could dream of, but she has never considered the poor villagers inferior to her in anyway. She enjoys her grandmother’s company a lot.
She gives her O-Level examinations privately, after which her parents shift to a city in Pakistan and decide to enroll her in a good institution for A-Levels. Hadiqa finally says goodbye to the village and her grandmother and shifts to the city where she meets Salma (Yumna Zaidi).
Salma’s mother is a maid in the Qureshi household, and Salma sometimes accompanies her. She admires Hadiqa’s perfect life. Salma’s father is a careless and man who has no love or sense of responsibility for his family, i.e, his wife and four daughters, one of whom is paralyzed.
The comparison between Salma and Hadiqa’s academic life is spot on. While Hadiqa goes to the best high-school in the city, Salma goes to a low-funded school where hitting students and scolding them for no reason is no big deal. Salma’s class has low tables with no chairs, and empty walls with one or two paintings on them, while Hadiqa has a well-furnished class with well maintained soft boards.
But among all the lavishness, there are three bullies who try to mess up Hadiqa’s first day. Hadiqa impresses them with her confidence and within no time, they are best friends. This does not go unnoticed by the jock of the school and senior of Hadiqa, Fahad Iqbal (Agha Ali). He is a wealthy guy who has absolutely no respect for girls and he brings down any person who is better than him. He challenges Hadiqa to a basketball match, and she defeats him. This infuriates Fahad, and he puts down a shart in front of his friends, that he will do anything to demean her.
Hadiqa and Salma become best friends and one day when Salma’s mother Razia shows up at the Qureshis’ doorstep, and tells them that her husband has thrown her and her daughters out of their own home, Hadiqa immediately lets them stay at her house. The materialistic nature of Hadiqa’s parents is highlighted when they refuse to let the poor family stay for more than one night. We are yet to see how Hadiqa will convince her parents and how she will deal with Fahad.
2. The Pace
The story which I have written above, took place in only 4 episodes. Hard to believe right? A good story along with good pace is adream, in this world of dragged, pointless dramas. My watch list is filled with dramas that have been stretched like chewing gum, and KSK is definitely a gem in front of them.
3. The Execution:
From the direction, to the production, the camera work and the editing, everything has been done with finesse. There are no loopholes in any of them. The miseries of Salma’s life were not stretched beyond my depression point. The school scenes were absolutely top-notch, and the basketball scene was shot with brilliance. The director Kashif Nisar, did his homework well. He made sure of what the viewers wanted and gave his full attention to it. The writer Shahid Nadeem has nailed it. He has dealt with the issues of beating students, bullying and the jock culture professionally. While watching this drama, you realize that the characters have been written with expertise, they are well etched out and that’s why I had no issue in relating to them. The episodes are fast paced, which is a bonus. The DOP Hassan Mairaj has done a great job as well. From the mountains covered with snow to Salma’s shack and Hadiqa’s mansion to their respective schools, the scenes are nicely shot.
The first scene of any drama speaks volumes about the expertise of the team. If they manage to make it full of suspense, it proves that they can make the rest of the drama interesting too. Often drama makers ignore the importance of the first scene and focus on showing us huge mansions.Team KSK knew the importance of that scene and they shot it with brilliance. Check it out here:
4. The Cast:
Sajal Ali is a gifted actress and Yumna Zaidi is impressive too. Both of them were the perfect choice for these roles, especially Sajal. Agha Ali has totally nailed it. I can’t think of anyone else who could have portrayed Fahad in a better way. Essa Chauhdry will be making his debut opposite Yumna Zaidi soon.
The couples are great. Agha Ali and Sajal look great together, while Essa Chauhdry and Yumna Zaidi will light up our screens soon.
Agha and Sajal
Yumna and Essa
5. The Wardrobe by ARFA’s :
From chic tops, trousers and the printed skirts to the jackets and those colourful scarves, Sajal’s dressing is top-notch.
Agha Ali’s wardrobe is trend setting as well. Those jackets and shirts are perfect for someone of Fahad’s age. The best part is that the wardrobe keeps changing and this really tells about how much attention the director has given. People don’t roam around in the same clothes for two episodes!
Kis Se Kahoon airs on Sundays at 8:10 pm. It is an example of how the whole the whole team has worked hard to create a drama that actually entertains the audience, and is not another shadi issues ki bharmaar!
The actor who started his career with Din, then portrayed the brave Dr Dawood of Dhuwan andis currently working in Bulbulay is now Bol Entertainment’s President and CEO. You must have guessed his name by now, and yes, it’s Nabeel.
The President and CEO of Bol News is Azhar Abbas, who has himself launched three channels in the past, Geo TV, Geo News and DawnNews TV. He resigned from the post of M.D at Geo News.
The Chairman and CEO of Axact and BOL group is Shoaib Ahmad Sheikh.
Bheer mei bhi hum tanha rahein, tere gham ne yeh halath kardi… Gohar Rasheed has played the role of the dysfunctional Adnan to absolute perfection. I cannot help but praise his flawless acting especially the way he switches his temperament. His face-off with Sr. Hashmi was extremely well done- the fact that he could hold his own against a stalwart like Usman Peerzada speaks oodles about his acting abilities. For me, he was the highlight of the episode. I liked the confidence with which he stated his self-worth to Rahat Hashmi- Adnan is not afraid of Rahat probably because he has witnessed much worse. A part of his arrogance can also be attributed to his bachpana as Haniya pointed out. Or maybe he’s just too groggy to know what he’s doing. We got to know a little more about Adnan today- he owns three successful businesses which explains his resources, his father resides in London and is a former governor. He has a strained relationship with his father which is probably why he is taking a stand for Omar who has yet to take a stand for himself.
Mrs. Imtiyaaz has been replaced by Mohini in Omar’s life. She’s the one who picks his clothes, prepares his meals, gives him a ride to work, ensures he has a little extra pocket money in case he needs it and shows genuine concern for his safety- Office mein koi tumhe cher raha hai kya???While Omar is clearly dependent on her, he doesn’t like the feeling of being controlled- Ek Undertaker se jaan churi toh dosri samney agayi... Omar doesn’t realize the seriousness of the situation- he has to make a life for himself and Mohini but is still living in La La Land. Ab apka mere har joke pe hasna farz banta hai…Omar and Mohini’s relationship is going great guns but I doubt it’ll remain this way for much longer. As much as I liked Nomi’s sensibilities, I am getting the feeling that he is starting to get to Mohini. Often times, before there is a real problem, the interference of outsiders makes one take note of something that may not be as big a deal as they are making it out to be. I get that he cares for Mohini but she knew what she was getting into when she married Omar so somewhere in the back of her mind, she knows she may be in for a rude awakening,
Adnan likes surrounding himself with people to divert his mind from his own messed up life which is why him and Zara get along like a house on fire. I don’t know if there’s any budding romance there but there is certainly a very mutual understanding and to some extent maybe even a liking. I think the closest he ever gets to being himself is when he is with Zara. The saudagaars- Hashmi and Saleem Sahab are both fully aware of what their prospective bahu and damaad are up to yet for the sake of not millions but billions, they are willing to continue their deal. It doesn’t seem to matter that their children are on the path to self-destruction and they clearly want nothing more than their own financial gain.
As much as I enjoy watching Mohini and Omar, I’d like to see their story go to the next level. Also, I wish they’d stop showing those scenes of Mohini driving with the fake background as it distracts me from enjoying their conversations. With Ali moving to Dubai, the focus will fall entirely on Adnan and I’m just a little afraid he may snatch the spotlight from the lead pair. 8 episodes down, Goya is progressing steadily and I’m hoping it continues to maintain the pace. What do you think?
Hmmm, even though the pace of the story has become a bit slow but there are some developments that are still happening in the side tracks. For now the main focus of the drama has shifted on Fareeda’s personal life & her predicament. Her ordeals have just begun & no one knows how long she will have to face such hardships.
It’s a done deal that Shaukat is not a perfect match for Fareeda. They both are two different people because they have nothing in common, nor Shaukat tries to understand Fareeda neither he wants to work on his marriage. He has gotten what he wanted all his life & now he is just treating Fareeda as a lifeless possession who he thinks will always remain under his control. He has turned out to be a very typical husband & only thinks his wife is bound to take care of the household chores because he has seen his mother & sisters do the same thing all his life, which is why he cannot relate to what writing means to Fareeda. Being a writer doesn’t help Fareeda at all because of that, she faces another round of taunts from each & every person in her in-laws. They’ve proved that they’re typical to be bone & they actually expect Fareeda to do everything for them whereas they are not giving her any reason to respect them at all.
Right now, all Fareeda’s family is left with is a sense of regret because it only took them a visit to Shaukat’s place to understand what Fareeda is going through. I really felt bad for Anwar & Zarina because they actually feel responsible for ruining Fareeda’s life but sadly, they can do nothing to redeem it & also they are somehow still financially dependent on Fareeda, which makes Zarina a lot more worried as well.
It was good to see that at least Fareeda on her own is trying to do everything that her husband & his family demands. Even though she wasn’t happy with this marriage but she has walked past the heartbreak & she is being dutiful to them which is why she was seen speaking to Shaukat about what she feels & what she wants but it’s pretty evident that Shaukat has an inferiority complex & he knows that he has gotten such a partner with whom his mental wavelength doesn’t match, that is why he thinks the best way to deal with her is to snub her every single time because he knows he will never have a logical answer to her questions. Fareeda is mentally mature & groomed whereas Shaukat is not, that is why he only speaks to her so brusquely because he has been brought up like that.
At least Fareeda does have a well-wisher in her home & that is her father in law but why does it always happen that a soft spoken, decent father in law never gets a chance to speak up for the right & is always snubbed by his outspoken nagging wife? Shaukat’s father knows that his son is not at par with Fareeda but still she is proving herself to be a good daughter in law & a good wife, which is why he feels it’s unfair that no one is ready to acknowledge her efforts. I am glad that Anwar & Zarina confronted Appa because she needs to know that Fareeda still has someone who’d take a stand for her. Is it just me or you really feel like smacking Najma every time she opens her mouth? & oh another confusion that we had was clarified that Shauakat has 3 sisters whereas Shabana is out of the scene but the eldest sister of his has swooped in out of nowhere.
Well on the professional front, Fareeda’s written drama has brought in record breaking ratings & the channel was ready to sign 2 more dramas with her but sadly, she backed out for now because she doesn’t know if Shaukat & his family would allow her or not. Same goes for her fans who used to read her stories, they’re missing their favourite writer Rushk-e-Hina & want to read her amazing work. Rida Anmol & Sikandar tried to use Mazhar Hayat to hijack Fareeda’s forte which is romantic love stories but luckily for them, after they got in touch with him, Mazhat Hayat now has become an in charge of the channel’s script department which means that they will get their scripts approved by him with ease plus he has already decided to work with them for one of their dramas. I don’t know why but I feel this venture will somehow bring them back in the game & then this will be the moment where Fareeda & Mazhar Hayat will come across each other because being a script department’s head, it’s imperative that Mazhar Hayat will go through Fareeda’s writing before approving it & they both will become each other’s competitors.
I feel ever since Fareeda has suffered from a heart break, the pace of the drama has been compromised upon but still I am sure there’s a lot more to come that’s why I have complete faith in this drama & it’s story. Share your thoughts please. :)
I have always been fond of Main Bushra’s meaningful and moving dialogues. It goes without saying that Sanam Mehdi Jarchevi put her heart and soul into penning down the dialogues and you’re bound to find a philosophical touch in almost every scene of this play. However, I don’t think every single conversation has to be heavy-duty and philosophical to strike a chord. Sometimes, light and sweet conversations can touch your heart in more ways than one.
I think all of us had been rooting for Shayan the day he met Bushra and I for one genuinely wanted the two to tie the knot. It turns out that Bushra took her time to agree to Shayan’s proposal. I loved how Shayan called for a pre-nikkah meeting to make sure that Bushra is not being forced into this marriage. I felt the pre-nikkah conversation was not only much needed but also to the point and perfect. Considering the hardships our dear heroine has been facing since the very first episode, I was expecting something to go seriously wrong at the time of their nikkah but thankfully, Bushra’s parents marked their entry AFTER the nikkah had taken place *sigh of relief*. But still, they were in the wrong place at the wrong time because their presence only made Bushra feel uncomfortable and fidgety. Sofia and Nasir haven’t got a clue about Bushra and Shayan’s nikkah but Sofia has clearly sensed something fishy about Faraz and his sudden disappearance. ‘Shayan ki shaadi ka card lekar ayega humaray ghar’. Haha, now that’s what you call an awkward moment :P
I liked how they showed guilt pangs hitting Sophia. Deep down, she knows whatever has happened to Bushra has been anything but fair.
Hey, the moment Bushra’s mom says, ‘Larkian apnay shauharon kay saath hi achi lagti hain’, I go like, ‘Ghaur say dekhiye, Sophia aunty’ ;) ;) (see below)
Even though Bushra looked stunning on the nikkah day, I felt her sleeveless dress didn’t have a Bushra-like feel to it and I felt it didn’t match her personality at all (kindly note I am only referring to the character here). Whoever is responsible for the sudden change in the wardrobe should have kept Bushra’s background and character in mind.
All this time I was hoping and praying for Bushra and Shayan to tie the knot and even though they are officially together, it seems like they are not willing to turn over a fresh leaf. If you ask for my honest opinion, the post-nikkah developments have actually been a huge disappointment. I was hoping for a few sweet dialogues, exchange of promises and most importantly- some SMILES !! :D :D You see, not that hard at all! But what do we get instead? Our dukhiyari bibi’s tears and hichkiyan! I know she has been through a lot and I can totally relate to her frame of mind but with this new bond, I was expecting her to move on in the true sense. From what they have shown us up till now, the only thing I can scrape together is that Bushra and Shayan are living under one roof, in different rooms with no sort of interaction at all. Enlighten me, is that why we were rooting for their union in the first place? The previews suggest that things are not going to change for the better any time soon. As if seeing Bushra’s teary-eyed expressions 24/7 wasn’t enough, we’ll now get to see her being subjected to abuse uff!
Andd what’s an ARY drama serial without an absolutely mindless and unnecessary side track?? Fizzah (Bushra’s eldest sister)’s abusive and obnoxious husband, Shoaib is out of prison and I think he’s more unbearable for US than he is for Fizzah.
So this is it from my side. Now I’d like to know what you guys think of Main Bushra’s latest developments?
