Also, whenever we raised our voice for minorities on the show, they would get overwhelmed, as if it was a huge deal. That gratitude from minorities was both surprising and disturbing—it showed me that the issue is far bigger than we think. Rohit is a member of my team, Manisha is his wife, Shehbaz and Aroosa are also in my team. I struggle with names, so I took inspiration for the characters’ names from people I know. When asked if any real-life incidents inspired him to write Case No. 9, Shahzeb Khanzada said, “There was no single incident that inspired the story. However, there was a situation where Bukhari brought a team of lawyers to pressure a victim. I know for a fact that it happened in real life, so I included it. Gohar also spoke about the intense interrogation scenes with Saba Qamar, saying, “The dialogues given to me during the interrogation sequence were extremely harsh and brutal. I got scared while reading them. I was worried because such dangerous questions in such a tragic situation felt very disturbing. I didn’t want to deliver those dialogues and requested the director and writer to change or tone them down. However, they explained that these are, unfortunately, normal questions asked of rape victims and are part of the SOPs followed at police stations. After understanding that, I delivered those dialogues.”He concluded by saying, “It was a horrific scene for me to perform. People loved it, but I personally hated doing it.”

Naeem Hanif is a renowned Pakistani journalist and anchor who made headlines in November 2025 after making allegations against famous actress Saba Qamar regarding her past. The anchor claimed that he had known Saba since the early 2000s, when she was allegedly living in a house gifted by an admirer. Saba Qamar strongly called out Naeem Hanif and sent him a legal notice. She stated that she has built her name through honest hard work and would not allow anyone to tarnish her reputation with false accusations.

Today, on his channel RNN’s podcast, Naeem Hanif issued a public apology for his statement against Saba Qamar.

Talking about the matter, Naeem Hanif said, “Yes, I wanted to talk about Saba Qamar. On November 3, we shared a piece of news regarding Saba Qamar, claiming that she was living in a house gifted by her boyfriend, with whom she was allegedly in a live-in relationship.
