Other issues are not directly related to Allah and are dealt with leniency, but issues like blasphemy are dealt with through harsh punishments. As a Muslim, I believe that whatever cruelty is done in the name of Allah carries severe consequences. The blasphemy laws in Pakistan are extremely harsh. We cannot achieve success, prosperity, or progress as a nation if such laws remain unchecked. Normal laws have room for relaxation, but blasphemy laws impose excessively severe punishments. This is why many of our other problems remain unresolved—because in Pakistan, cruelties are committed in the name of Allah. If we abandon or properly control these laws, perhaps we can flourish.
He further added, “There is friction between those who enforce blasphemy laws and those who are pro status quo, and both sides blame each other. I want betterment in these blasphemy laws. I respect those who deal with these matters, but I request them to reconsider. I am not secular; I come from a religious school of thought. It is not right to treat people so harshly. Moreover, these laws are not even fully in accordance with Fiqh-e-Hanafi. I am giving the Hanafi example because it is followed by the majority. In Fiqh-e-Hanafi, only direct and unambiguous blasphemy carries the harsh penalty. However, in Pakistan, almost anything can be labeled as blasphemy. This should not be the case, as innocent people become victims. This issue needs serious reconsideration.”

Zanjabeel Asim Shah is a seasoned Pakistani drama writer, famously known for her back-to-back hit drama serials such as Bashar Momin, Ik Nazar Meri Taraf, Yeh Mera Deewana Pan Hai, Cheekh, Pyar Ke Sadqay, Noor Jahan, Sher, Bismil, Balaa, and many others. She began her writing career with Geo TV and A Plus. Zanjabeel Asim Shah learned scriptwriting from Noor Ul Huda Shah. She is currently garnering praise for her hit TV series Pamaal, which airs on Green Entertainment.
Recently, Zanjabeel Asim Shah appeared on Green Entertainment’s podcast The Green Room. During the podcast, she talked about her husband’s possessiveness toward their daughters, a trait similar to the character Raza.
Talking about her husband’s caring nature, Zanjabeel Asim Shah said, “I can’t tell you how close my daughters were to their father. I have never seen such a father in my life. When he used to come home, he would closely observe the girls to see if they were fine or had any injuries. It almost felt like a test for me. I had to take care of my daughters as if they were only his daughters; they were completely under his hold. I never got their hair cut—he used to take them to the salon himself and give them bob cut. He was always with them. Perhaps people who have a short life realize they have less time for their family, so they give them all their love. One great thing about him was that he only wanted daughters; he never wanted sons.”
Zanjabeel Asim Shah further added, “We used to travel to our hometown Nawabshah along with the driver and my husband would call the driver again and again, giving instructions about driving even I used to get irritated by my husband’s possessiveness toward us and our daughters. However, when we went to Nawabshah in his absence, there wasn’t a single phone call.”
She also praised her husband’s strength during his illness, saying that he faced death bravely and managed everything with proper planning before he passed away.
Zanjabeel Asim Shah further shared, “When I was writing Pamaal, I was experiencing depression at that time, so it didn’t affect me when the drama aired. However, I have seen many people who went into depression after watching Pamaal. I have become a strong person, and many things no longer affect me the same way in life after everything I have been through.”
Meri Zindagi Hai Tu is one of the most viewed Pakistani prime-time dramas, currently airing on ARY Digital. The drama features Bilal Abbas Khan and Hania Aamir in the main leads. The drama is written by Radain Shah and directed by Mussadiq Malek. The story revolves around a wealthy and spoilt young man, Kamyar, who falls in love with a medical student, Ayra, who belongs to a doctor’s family. The drama is getting huge praise from the fans and is getting good trips and views. Each episode is garnering approximately 12 million views.
Today, episode 18 was aired on ARY Digital. The episode featured the extremely awaited wedding sequence of Kamyar and Ayra. While the bride and groom were all set for their Nikah, Kamyar’s scandalous video popped up on the guests’ mobiles, and Ayra left the wedding venue without Nikah. Watch here:
Meri Zindagi Hai Tu viewers are divided over Ayra’s decision to leave Kamyar. Some have expressed their grief for Kamyar, while others are bashing Ayra for not trusting him. Many are cursing Faria and questioning why Kamyar is not thinking about the source of the message. Fans are also irritated by the hidden video message that was sent to the family members. One wrote, “Feeling sooo bad for Kamyar. Ayra and Fariya don’t deserve you at all. If you have any worries, come to me, Kamyar, my love,” while another said, “So sad for Kamyar. The poor guy was framed for a crime he never committed. I couldn’t believe Faria would stoop that low.” Another questioned, “Why is Kamyar not wondering who sent the video to everyone?” One user shared, “I felt broken when he said, ‘To hell with decency.
