It was only years later that she found out that her condition had a name.

“I was in America at a random clinic for a checkup when I saw something on TV that actually described my condition. When I saw that documentary on CNN, I was shocked to discover that whatever they were mentioning was what I did in my childhood. Its a condition called synesthesia and in it people join objects such as letters, shapes, numbers or people’s names with a sensory perception such as smell, color or flavor.”

These days Maryam’s track is what kept people on their toes. Maryam played by Hira Soomro elopes with Anas/Malik Zubair played by Agha Mustafa and Tere Bin fans were invested and also confused by the track.

Hira Soomro was a guest on Fuchsia and she shared some information regarding Maryam’s track. She was asked why Maryam was shown to be so naive that she did not even know Abas’ address or who he really was and just went with him. She also did not care about her brother and just blindly trusted Anas, a man she had met just a few times outside her college.

Here is what Hira had to say. She said that Maryam was brought up under a lot of pressure and discipline. Her mother was all focused on raising Murtasim and she only spent time around Haya. This made her naive and soft.

She also talked about loopholes being present in the story. She said that there are problems with the script sometimes. There are also times when scenes are shot not in a sequence and actors do not remember what was actually happening before this. These things cause loopholes in the final drama. She openly talked about production issues and sometimes differences in opinions but the final call is by the director and that becomes a reason for loopholes in the story. She also said commercialism is what is making things not look seamless. This is what she said:

Hira Soomro shared that she was once feeling very down and depressed so she decided to steal from a shop just for thrill. She revealed that she shops from the said store and her bill is usually in lakhs so she thought picking up a 10k worth cream is no big deal so she shoplifted in order to feel the thrill.

Hira stole a cream and got caught by the staff. She was angry at them as they thought she had some illness and she was stealing the cream when she was simply doing it for the thrill. She later on apologized and advises others not to do something like that as the staff may not be able to afford such a loss.
