Dil Wali Gali Mein is a new Ramadan drama that is airing on Hum TV. Starring Sajal Aly and Hamza Sohail in the lead roles, the show has already garnered good feedback. This is not a typical Ramadan drama thus not everyone’s cup of tea. It revolves around the love of two youngsters Deeju and Mujji and how they navigate the problems of married life as love is not the end line.
Dil Wali Gali Mein is showcasing how life can become traumatic from very small things which we do not even consider in our homes. As Deeju is married to Mujji and moves to his school/house, she finds out that the supposed “attached bathroom” he was talking about is basically the staff washroom of the school. She is flustered and she cannot understand how to live with the judgment that she has to face just by going to the Loo.
This is the scene:
These scenes have started a debate on the internet. Many people are saying that the joint family system is like cancer and a mother-in-law is never happy when her son takes care of his wife. The girl also does not even get basic facilities and freedom and an attached bathroom is just a basic need. Some are however not satisfied with the drama and think that this is not giving enough Ramadan vibe:

Today, the last episode of the drama aired on the Hum TV network at 7:00 pm. Fans loved the drama but they didn’t like the sad ending of the drama serial. The drama viewers were of the view that Shafaq didn’t deserve to be alone in the end. A few fans said that Dil Pe Zakham Khaye Hain was quite a realistic drama and that is why it depicted a realistic ending.
Many viewers said that they were left teary-eyed after watching the last episode of the drama. The character ‘Shafaq’s supporters didn’t like the ending of the drama. This drama is such a game-changer and the ending is, how to explain it, too unexpected and out of the box. Let’s get to a bit of flashback and talk about this masterpiece as I am not going to spoil the ending because, People! You should watch it. A horror genre always involves flying objects with scary looking churails who have blood dripping from their mouths even without sucking it off anyone’s neck. But Dil Nawaz is such a beautiful script, it had emotions and suspense beautifully interwoven with the supernatural. Yes, it had some dramatic things but we know, its fiction and the good thing is most of the stuff was very close to the experiences we see people narrating who are affected by the supernatural stuff. A huge round of applause for writer Nabeel Syed. It is a beautiful love story and the characters he has written should be included among this year’s best. He totally expressed the original face of a living creature. You are never black or white, you are always grey. From Dil Nawaz to Alam Ara, you can never truly hate a character because they had reasons, even for the bad things they were doing. And here you have to love Najaf Bilgrami’s direction. He made the viewers connect to each character. The way he made the story progress with every episode showing the story progressing and not reasonlessly dragging the situation, he translated the story beautifully on screen. He showed everyone that you can do it 26 episodes and it will still look good.
Since you all know about the situation of our award shows, it is highly unlikely but I think Neelam Muneer should be given a nomination for this performance. She just nailed it. At some point in the drama, even I fell in love with her character. She was graceful in all her scenes, not over-doing anything and she showed how an actress should show with her work that why the drama is named after her character. The other performances which stood out are of Zainab Qayyum and Nida Mumtaz. Both the ladies did justice to their roles. Nida was a very over-protective and obsessive mother while Alam Ara played by Zainab was done in an excellent way. She was evil, you hated her one second and the other you were okay with it. Wahaj Ali also tried to get a hundred percent hang of Fawad. He was a bit sloppy at some points but mostly was very good in all the scenes especially the ones where he is under Dil Nawaz’s spell.
With watching a lot of dramas, I mostly like most of the viewers know how a series is going to end. Believe it or not, I even guessed that Afzal would die in Pyare Afzal lol. I was expecting a happy reunion today with maybe Dil Nawaz realizing she is not fit with Fawad but the writer got me. Dil Nawaz has also inspired many others to start making horror genre series. Yes, it promoted a bit of dhaga and darbar culture but they didn’t overdo it.
Have you guys watched the last episode of Dil Nawaz? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it and please mention is it just me or the theme music and OST grows on you?
This show is simply entertaining and the major cause for that is its different and intriguing storyline. A lot of despair was surrounding Dil Nawaz and Fawad’s relationship after she was imprisoned by Alam Ara but the tables turned as nature struck and Alam Ara is no more. Alam Ara was finally confronted for her actions by her sister and that along with her deteriorating health took a toll on her and she finally was no more. After Alam Ara’s demise, Dil Nawaz is now free and with Jahan Ara having no intentions to enslave her, she can do whatever she wants.
The Baba Jee mystery was also solved and the man who helps Kiran is none other than Alam Ara and Jahan Ara’s father. But is it his soul or is he a creature from another realm? These questions still stand in place. Jahan Ara is all alone now and since Tauseef is helping her, she would most probably end up with him. A black cord given by Baba Jee to Kiran helped Fawad to come to his senses and realize what is happening around him. He is a Devdas now and suddenly from I can even die for Dil Nawaz, he went to Go die Dil Nawaz. The other mystery which was solved today made me hate Fawad’s character. He married Dil Nawaz on his own will. Dil Nawaz made it clear that she was not controlling him on that and wanted him to love her with his whole heart. And still, he proved to be an extremely bad choice for her as well as for Kiran because he has deceived both of them.
Kiran’s fiance was a good man as was looking like from the start and when Rasheeda told him about Fawad and Kiran’s relationship, he cleared her way by taking the whole blame on himself. Yes, Rasheeda became a manipulator again and also won at it. And they are still making him look bad. At least Kiran should have cleared everything in front of her mom. This show has really gone to a top level of excitement with everyone getting proper screen time and the story is directed beautifully.
Fawad’s U-turn is not looking very acceptable and Wahaj was not his best in all scenes but Neelam once again was at the top of her game. She expressed Dil Nawaz’s desperation with complete accuracy and her jealousy with Kiran was also a thing to watch otherwise such scenes are always annoying but Neelam made them entertaining. Another character who is getting the edge of all swords is Kiran’s mother and Kiran is not a farmanbardar bacchi after all.
Looking forward to the next episode as the preview shows that Fawad’s father will finally have a clue about what is going on in his son’s life!
Cast: Neelum Muneer, Minal Khan, Wahaj Ali, Waseem Abbas, Zainab Qayyum and Nida Mumtaz among others.
When the promos and pictures started surfacing for Dil Nawaz, honestly my first instinct was that it will be a stupid try at horror genre with people screaming and objects floating in every second episode. But Dil Nawaz literally came out as a pleasant surprise for me. When the first episode came out, it was a clichéd start, with Aijaz Aslam and his family shifting in a haunted house and then leaving it due to supernatural stuff. The start may be clichéd but the drama as a whole is a great package, it shows the evils and manipulations prevailing in our society. Eight episodes are down up till now and let’s break how everything went on:
Characters and Storyline:
The writer has hands down done a great job. All the characters are developed with accuracy and that takes the story forward. Alam Ara (Zainab Qayyum) and Jahan Ara are two sisters who have mastery with magic and control over supernatural beings. They inherited the knowledge from their father but Alam Ara has become super greedy and manipulates and harm people who come to her. Hazrat Bibi aka Alam Ara has cut off all ties with the normal world due to her devious deeds and with the recent developments, looks like she is the one who has forced to do Jahan Ara the same.
Next, comes the two lovebirds Fawad(Wahaj Ali) and Kiran(Minal Khan)who are neighbours and want to marry each other. Fawad is a young doctor and his character is probably one of the very strong male lead characters of recent times. He stood for the right and protected the character of the girl he loved even if he had to go against his mother. Kiran, on the other hand, is a great daughter. She loves Fawad but she is not “Mai tumhare liye sabb ko chorr doongi” type. She has self-respect and she loved and respected her mother to the extent that she left Fawad to protect her mother’s honour.
Fawad’s parents are Waseem Abbas and Nida Mumtaz. His father is chill like a glacier and his mother is heated like a volcano. She is not only possessive but pure evil too. She can go to any extent just to get the results she wants. Her objective in life is to get her son married to her sister’s daughter kyunki unki industries hain. Kiran’s mother, on the other hand, is a single parent who has worked hard all her life and supported her daughter when she chose Fawad as her life partner. Her character is very positive and a treat to watch.
And yes the main and titular character, Dil Nawaz. Dil Nawaz is a supernatural entity. She is under Alam Ara’s thumb and has to do everything to please her. Her character is not black and white but grey. She harms people on Alam Ara’s orders but regrets it too. She didn’t even want to manipulate Fawad and Kiran’slove because she saw they were serious about each other. Fawad is the first person she has let stay in her house and she will fall for him hard.
The story has now become a love triangle because Dil Nawaz has fallen for Fawad. On the other hand, Kiran will seek Fawad because there is a person warning her to help him. We will have to wait to watch the next developments in the story now.
Performances:
Wahaj Ali has performed exceptionally from the start. From a love-struck doctor to a person who stands for right, he portrayed every emotion flawlessly. Minal Khan is good in her role too, her scenes with her mother are the best ones. Her performance was a bit weak in the scene where Fawad comes to talk to her at her engagement. It could have been more emotive. Zainab Qayyum and Nida Mumtaz are the best performers until now. The way Zainab is portraying the character of greedy and hungry for power Alam Ara is exceptional and Nida Mumtaz looks like a true obsessive mother who just wants her child to do what she wants him to do and see what she wants him to see. Neelum Muneer is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful supernatural entity in the history of the horror genre. Her dialogue delivery is lacking but her expressions and those orange death stares make up for it.
Direction:
The direction of this play has been a plus point for it up till now. The story is moving forward smoothly and there are mostly no useless scenes inserted just to prolong the drama. And thank God, there are no floating sheets and broken vases after every scene since they are the only two things which happen in our supernatural genre. The overall look and feel of the play are exciting and for that credit goes to the director.
OST:
A fitting OST and Alycia Dias’s voice actually makes it sound magical and supernatural. Yes, it is different from the typical OSTs but the drama too is. The theme music when plays in the background gives a feel to the overall story. Here is it if you want to listen to it:
So eight episodes down and I am unexpectedly loving Dil Nawaz. I hope they don’t start dragging it reasonlessly which is a plague that hits all the dramas I start liking. But since the news is that Dil Nawaz will have about 25 episodes, I am a bit relieved. This is a treat to watch, a successful experiment and I will look forward to the next episode.
Have you watched Dil Nawaz? Share your thoughts in comments!
First of all, I will start by saying that this play is aesthetically pleasing. The picture quality is supremely nice which makes the viewer even more hooked to the show. Secondly, the pace of this drama is awesome. None of the episodes aired yet was a drag; each of them contributed to the story and today’s episode was no different. Today’s episode focused on obsessions; some old and some new.
Dil Nawaz has fallen in love with Fawad and her love has become a kind of obsession for her. She has lost her focus from all the projects Alam Ara assigns her and is always lingering around Fawad, trying to make him fall for her too. Fawad has also fallen in an obsession of Dil Nawaz. He is finally under her control and his thoughts have left the point of rationality. Even watching Kiran didn’t help him. All he wants is Dil Nawaz to an extent that he is not even noticing her odd behaviour. Fawad’s parents are in the new house and his mom is noticing that there is something extremely wrong with her son. Her character reminds me of Nadir’s mother from Ho Mann Jahan though Fawad’s mother is a bit more obsessive. She never accepts her faults and keeps taking risks and doing wrong. Actually, she is the one who put her only child in danger. But in place of accepting that and trying to find a rational solution, she went and confronted Alam Ara.
Alam Ara’s character is spectacularly played by Zainab Qayyum. She has beautifully shown the character’s obsession with power. She cannot hold anything in herself and will destroy Fawad just to get even with his mother. She has granted permission to Dil Nawaz to go and fool Fawad though she does not know that this is not just another assignment for Dil Nawaz. Her sister Jahan Ara’s love interest Tauseef also showed up in the episode and said some deep words. We will have to wait to see how that track goes on.
Kiran’s engagement, for now, is the most boring track in the show because we already know that it will not last. Her fiance directly questioned her mother too about her lack of interest but seems like the engagement fiasco will go on for few more episodes. Neelam Muneer and Zainab Qayyum were the stars of the show tonight as they catered beautifully to their characters and a big thumbs up to Neelam’s stylist because she is the prettiest Muakil in the history of Muakils.?
The preview for next episode was superb. Looks like Fawad will marry Dil Nawaz and Kiran will finally get a wake-up call. Stay tuned to see whether this drama keeps itself on the right track or deteriorates like many other aired this season!
Dil Nawaz has rather been slow in these episodes with Dil Nawaz still trying to win over Fawad by hook or by crook. She does not care what people are thinking and how normal things work, she will only settle for having Fawad completely in her life as her husband. With Fawad’s family finding out about Shah Jee, there was a hope that things will get solved but it just didn’t happen as Jahan Ara is falling in the footsteps of her sister and helped Dil Nawaz overpower him. From power to transforming to Fawad’s cousin and possessing Kiran, she is trying everything. The thing that bothered me a lot was Fawad not recognizing Dil Nawaz when she came to his house as Mariya. She was wearing the same clothes, same jewellery and was even talking in the same way which should have made things clear to him.
Jahan Ara’s falling towards the black magic is also an extremely annoying development. Tauseef married someone else under family pressure and on knowing that, she started doing black magic on others. She told Dil Nawaz that she would never harm him or his family because she loves him then why the hell are you harming other people girl?
Kiran is also a character who got lost in between everything going on with Dil Nawaz and Fawad. The only problem I have with the character is the behaviour they have shown of her with her mother. Why is she always whining about a boy she met some time ago and sidelining her mother who loved and protected her all her life is beyond me since after all her badtameeziyan with her mother, she is still shown as an innocent girl.
The one thing which bothered me is the return of Jahan Ara’s father. As Muslims, we believe no one comes back from death and there they are showing Jahan Ara’s Abba Jee wandering around the whole city and talking to whomever he wants. Another concept they showed in the drama which was strange that Dil Nawaz tells Fawad about her cousin marrying a human girl and they are living happily together. Like how can they make characters say those dialogues and not clarify them later?
Apart from the Atma concept and Jin living a happy married life with a human girl, these episodes were decent and the preview shows some action. Stay tuned guys!
All the tracks in Dil Nawaz are winding up now. Everything is out in the light now with everyone aware of the situation. The most important development in Dil Nawaz is Fawad’s father realising the situation his family is in. Rasheeda is a woman drowned in selfishness and her all measures have only caused the situation to go worse but Fawad’s father, on the other hand, is a very sensible man. He will try to make the situation better rather than asking for stupid measures to get Fawad married tom Mariya.
The most disappointing track in the episodes was that of Kiran. Kiran’s mother is a character who has shown to be supportive and accepting of everything her daughter does. She is a hard-working and loving mother but what she got from her daughter in the end? Kiran openly sided with Rasheeda against her. Kiran even did not tell her about Nasir calling off the marriage was for Kiran’s sake and not himself. Kiran is also kind of obsessed with Fawad as she is not caring about her mother’s life just for him which was very disappointing to watch.
Fawad is a person everyone is obsessed with. His mother then Kiran and now Dil Nawaz. Dil Nawaz is using every tactic to save her “marriage” with Fawad. This marriage is not yet clarified by the makers. Dil Nawaz said that Fawad was not under her spell when they got married and he did not deny it and now he is constantly denying it. There should be an explanation of this shaadi now with everything else moving towards a climax.
Jahan Ara finally decided to give a chance to Tauseef but ended up finding about his son. She always calls Tauseef for everything and her sister humiliated him for years but still, she wanted him to keep waiting for her. And after finding about his son, she started a stupid rant about maine barri ko maar diya which was downright annoying. Girl! Your sister died of cancer and she was a very bad human being, your wish to get married has nothing to do with it but seems like Jahan Ara is not very bright to realise facts.
One good thing is they have shown an educated person handling this stuff with the help of Quran instead of a jhar phoonk wala baba which is a commndable step. What are your thoughts on the latest developments in Dil Nawaz? Share in comments!
The characters of this drama are so beautiful that a viewer really indulges in the whole situation. Dil Nawaz will now go to any extent to get Fawad and she extremely tortured Mariya. She even accepted openly in front of Alam Ara that she has fallen in love. The way Fawad behaves with her has made her even more hopeful that she will get a happy ending. Fawad is strongly under her spell. He does not care about his life anymore. All he wants is Dil Nawaz and he is not even realizing that he wants a supernatural entity to be his wife and spend a normal life with him.
Alam Ara has tied down Dil Nawaz and is reciting long rants against love. She always mentions what she did with Jahan Ara and Tauseef. She has gone insane to the level that even her nearing death has no effect on her. She not only tied Dil Nawaz due to her obsession with power but she has also tied Jahan Ara with the love Jahan Ara holds for her elder sister. She wants Jahan Ara to take her place and become the successor to the seat of Hazrat Bibi. Jahan Ara is a very nicely written character too. The writer has shown through her character that if you have good inside you. no darkness of your surroundings can overcome it.
Neelam Muneer owned her character today again with great prowess. She translated the greyness of Dil Nawaz beautifully on screen. She knows that keeping Fawad under a spell and torturing Mariya is wrong but she is a creature in love and will go to any lengths to succeed. Kiran’s character has really gone into the background though. She believes that something is wrong with Fawad and is willing to help him but she is not really trying to get things done. Also, she does not like her fiance and is still preparing for the wedding she has no intention to do.
Rasheeda is just plain egoistic. Her ego is the reason for the destruction of many lives but she is still on a Mohallay main badnam karr doongi spree. She knows she has caused all these problems but is still not willing to even accept her mistakes. Khalid, however, has become annoying now. A brutally injured girl was taken from his home in an ambulance. His son remained in the hospital due to hallucinations. He gets a house in one-fourth of its original price but he does not want to believe something is wrong. This family has acceptance issues.
How Fawad is now going to free Dil Nawaz, that is a sequence to look forward to. Let us see how the story unfolds further and if Kiran will ever try to do something other than preparing for her non-ending exams!
Dil Nawaz is a slave and she is following Alam Ara’s orders since forever. But the new twist to the story has finally put Dil Nawaz on the front foot and she has taken it in stride very easily. Alam Ara has long been her manipulator but she is not going to live very long. Her cancer will totally change the game for every character because she has enslaved not only Dil Nawaz but her sister too. Jahan Ara is the one who finds out that Alam Ara is suffering from cancer but she chooses not to tell her. Alam Ara has been shown as a truly obsessed character. Despite her condition, she is still only interested in getting money so she could buy abba jee ke khawabon ka gharr. Hats off to the writer of Dil Nawaz for making such beautiful characters. The way he has etched out the complexities of each character should be applauded. You will dislike a character in one second and will feel for him/her in the other. Even Alam Ara’s obsession is to keep her father’s name alive and she is trying to do it by hook or by crook.
Dil Nawaz has come on the front foot now. She is making herself known, as well as, is okay with destroying anything or anybody who will come between Fawad and her. She has fallen in love with him and will not let him go even if she has to disobey Alam Ara. Though Alam Ara wanted to keep her illness under wraps but Dil Nawaz knows now that she is weak and she will now never let Fawad go. She will go to any lengths to save her love. The writer nailed it here by not making her character consider her surroundings or consequences like a human would do, like Kiran did. She is a supernatural entity, wanting something and she will just go straight for it.
Jahan Ara is also coming out of her shell and sought help from the guy she loved, Tauseef. She is a normal person and is still sanely trying to help Alam Ara in this situation. She loves her sister and is trying to save her regardless of what Alam Ara did to her life.
Kiran is still confused though Baba Jee is giving her open clues that she has to do something. She is deceiving herself as well as her fiance. Her fiance seems like a nice person and offered to help solve the mystery she is indulged in. Maybe she will end up asking for his help in the coming episodes because there is no useless character in this drama. The writer even used Mariya’s character beautifully to showcase Dil Nawaz’s obsession with Fawad.
Dil Nawaz has actually set a standard for supernatural content in Pakistani entertainment. No one will levitate, no scary faces and still you will get hooked to the screen. Everyone has played their character to perfection and loved Neelam Muneer in every scene. She has managed to feel scary and look good at the same time which is truly a feat. Simply one of her best performances till date.
Looking forward to the next episode and waiting for Kiran’s character to come to terma with the situation. How did you people find Dil Nawaz?
So the truth is finally out. With Fawad being in the hospital for few days and everyone around him considering him schizophrenic, he now knows that Dil Nawaz is not a human. Fawad got all his colleagues in trouble when he started claiming that he sees a girl and what they did? They tried to kill him with an overdose of sedatives! He was not violent and still, the hospital staff was giving him sleeping injections every hour. Seems like Fawad is not very friendly towards his co-workers. He even slapped Dil Nawaz and obviously apologized, the boy was super frustrated after all. But Fawad should not hit women even if they are not human.
Rasheeda is such an annoying character and the truth is she loves her sister’s daughter Mariya and Mariya’s bank balance more than she loves Fawad. To save her son, she went to Kiran’s house and even used tears to get her help her son but as soon as he was visibly fine she was again planning to get Fawad married to Mariya. Seems like she will finally be getting a taste of what she has been cooking for others in the next episode. Kiran’s plot right now is a useless stretch with her still being indecisive about what she wants to do and meeting that mysterious Baba Jee again and again.
Alam Ara has some terminal illness but her greed is still above everything for her. She is still pursuing the dark way to get money. Jahan Ara is a normal person but Alam Ara will never let her have a normal life. She, on the other hand, is trying to convince Jhan Ara to do the same magic she does so they can increase their business.
The most annoying thing for these two episodes is Fawad’s attachment to Dil Nawaz. She made him fall for her by magic but he looks stable now and still he is dying to get Dil Nawaz and has no feelings left for Kiran who he wanted to marry and even left his parents for her. He willingly and easily accepted Dil Nawaz’s true identity which is hard to digest. How can a human who is attached to a scientific field easily accept that his wife is a JINN!! He, on the other hand, is trying to convince her to come in front of his parents. Maybe he has forgotten this is kind of impossible to actually live your life with a non-human entity. He is so in love with Dil Nawaz and as Rasheeda said gave no lift to Kiran.
Neelam Muneer and Wahaj Ali both have nailed their performances. Neelam has brought a reality to the supernatural part and it seems real. Wahaj was also convincing in the scenes when people were not believing Fawad that Dil Nawaz exists.
So far the way they have executed the story, the pace and screen time have made this a perfect drama to watch. The director has a done his job well. The only thing wrong about Dil Nawaz is Wahaj’s lip stain. It is extremely bad!
This is probably the fastest and most too the point drama on air right now. No fuss, no dragging and proper propagation of the story with each episode. These two episodes have turned the story in a direction that my first reaction was WOAH!! Like any Pakistani or to be more specific Adian story, I expected that Kiran will come at the point of Nikkah and will shout rukk jao Fawad but that didn’t happen shockingly and now Fawad is married to Dil Nawaz. Dil Nawaz is in love with Fawad and like it seemed from the start, she is not an evil entity. But due to Alam Ara she is not in control of her life and cannot save Fawad from his misery.
Kiran and her engagement’s track is being dragged now. She is having nightmares and is aware that something is wrong with Fawad but she is still stuck in an engagement which she didn’t even want in the first place. Kiran’s mother’s character is hands down beautiful. She is a strong woman who believes in her child and trusts her. Rasheeda is reaping what she sowed. Alam Ara is after her and will do anything to make her miserable. Jahan Ara’s character looks like will change a bit in the coming episodes. She has openly started saying that what Alam Ara is doing is wrong and their father will never approve of this.
Fawad is a mess now. He is stuck with Dil Nawaz and Alam Ara thinks it was a mere drama and not an original marriage. So she is keeping Dil Nawaz away from him. Fawad’s colleagues and family; everyone is thinking that he is not normal anymore. Rasheeda is not believing about Dil Nawaz and thinks that Fawad has become so aggressive and abnormal because she separated him from Kiran. She is finally thinking about her son rather than her ego but she is too late. Kiran is also late now as she didn’t consider Baba jee’s advice and her mother wants to marry her off as soon as possible to distance herself from the whole environment.
Neelam Muneer did a fabulous job in portraying the powerful supernatural entity who has fallen victim to the wickedness of human beings. She is translating Dil Nawaz’s emotions beautifully. Zainab Qayyum has also done justice to Alam Ara’s role showing her wickedness and self-obsession.
The preview shows that Rasheeda will ask Kiran to come to Fawad and Kiran will find that mysterious Baba Jee. Let us see what happens next!

Ohkay so, Dil Mom Ka Diya in my opinion had a complete & a perfect ending. One of the strongest points of Dil Mom Ka Diya was that it consistently remained a good watch. Yes, a few tracks here & there did get a little dragged but the overall progress of the story was great & so was the ending. This drama basically tells that simple stories if done well can really make into good drama to tune to.
Regrets & Realizations:
Tipu did believe that Ulfat turned out to be a good wife but in reality, Ulfat just stayed with Tipu because she learnt her lesson & she knew that all this was happening to her for a reason. It took a long long time for Ulfat to realize that she let go of her biggest blessing herself so now all that was coming her way was her fate & she had to accept it. Even Tipu couldn’t believe that a woman like Ulfat chose to stay by his side through thick & thin but Ulfat had her reasons.
Azhar realized his mistake & he couldn’t forgive himself for doing something so miserable to Tamkinat. Tamkinat who waited for so long for Azhar chose not to see him because like she said, she was entitled to put him through some misery too because what he did was not justified. Everything that Tamkinat said was spot on because she always proved herself to be different than Ulfat but Afzal & Co. could never really come out of that mindset that Tamkinat & Ulfat were two separate individuals & unfortunately, they put them on the same pedestal & judged them both equally. Tamkinat accepted Azhar’s apology but she didn’t immediately forgive him which was absolutely justified.
So, Ulfat went to see Afzal. She knew that he would never return her empty handed. Ulfat knew Afzal too well & that is why when they both met, her tears told the tale of the remorse & regret she was carrying for so many years. What I loved about Ulfat in recent times was that she never once complained as to why she was faced with such a test because she had a clear answer to that question so she was in no position of doing that. I loved that scene where Afzal & Ulfat just looked at each other & cried – it was Afzal’s way of showing that he still loved her or how much he had loved her before & he was in pain seeing her in such a condition & Ulfat’s tears depicted how she was ashamed of what she did & how she was now paying the price of her doings.
The only thing I didn’t really appreciate much about the last episode was the coverage that Aqmal got. They showed that a lot of time had passed already so may be giving Aqmal his own life would’ve been better. Anyways, Aqmal wanted to see Ulfat’s undoing & he got to see that. However, Aqmal felt heavy-hearted as no matter what, both Afzal & Aqmal had shared a bond with Ulfat so to see her in such a condition did make them feel sad.
Tamkinat was welcomed in Azhar’s family whole-heartedly but it was obvious that it will take a while for Tamkinat to forget all those horrible experiences she had in those 4 years when she was forced to live without Azhar.
I really liked how they showed a positive & hopeful ending for Ulfat with Tipu getting better. It is nice to see them showing that despite such a disease there’s always a hope of survival for the patient. Tipu seemed happy & Ulfat was just content because she accepted this life of hers while still being mindful of the fact that she was the one who put herself in this situation so there was no need for her to escape it.
Closing Thoughts – Complete Ending With Superb Performances:
Overall, after watching the last episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya, I felt satisfied. This drama did have a complete ending without any loose ends or plot holes. I must say, I loved the dialogues of this episode – especially Tamkinat’s & Ulfat’s. This episode also had some very powerful performances so much so that I found myself teary eyed too. My favorite scenes have to be the ones where Tamkinat comes outside of her room & sits next to Azhar & the one in Afzal’s office where he & Ulfat just look at each other with all those thoughts runnings through their minds. The direction of Dil Mom Ka Diya was good too but the actors took the level of this drama a notch higher. Neelam Munir was phenomenal as Ulfat & she performed brilliantly. I am sure the casting directors must be proud of themselves for making such a good decision picking Neelam Munir because she did complete justice to Ulfat’s character. Yasir Nawaz is a strong actor so this kind of performance was expected from him & he surely delivered. Imran Ashraf & Hira Mani were brilliant throughout the show too & they always make their performances a treat to watch. DIl Mom Ka Diya had very strong actors to bring this story to the table & they all did complete justice to their characters. Salman Faisal was a surprise package & he made the last few episodes worthwhile. I haven’t seen him act before therefore it came as such a pleasant surprise to see him performing a character like Tipu just so effortlessly. I am glad that this drama ended & it surely ended on a high note. Please share your thoughts about the last episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.
Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was again pretty basic. The story is pretty situational that is why despite it being a good watch, it doesn’t give me much to talk about. Dil Mom Ka Diya is a guilty pleasure sort of a drama that one can just watch for the sake of it without getting too involved in the story or characters!
Developments:
Again, the focus of this entire episode was on Ulfat, her jealousy & her insecurities. It is unfortunate that despite having such a supportive & understanding life partner as well as being surrounded by people who do not meddle in her affairs, Ulfat keeps on looking for opportunities to create issues. The biggest contradiction in Ulfat’s perspective is that she herself does not allow anyone to have a say in her personal affairs but when it comes to others, she just can not help getting involved.
Ulfat has clearly drawn a line with Salma that she does not like her enough to entertain her therefore her plan of visiting Salma’s place clearly told that Ulfat was just looking for a chance to create trouble for Salma as well as Afzal.
It is too obvious that Afzal is slowly running out of patience with Ulfat that is why in this episode especially, he was seen snubbing Ulfat & setting her straight where she went wrong. Afzal has treated Ulfat with a lot of kindness & he also doesn’t even respond to her negativity but Ulfat doesn’t see that. I liked that Afzal told Ulfat honestly that only because she created a scene before, Salma did not invite Ulfat this time to meet Kausar’s in-laws to be.
Tamkinat has already secured a place in everyone’s heart for herself. She is genuinely nice & because everyone in Afzal’s family has only had a bad experience with Ulfat, they are treating Tamkinat with a lot of respect as they can now see that she is way better than Ulfat & is not like her at all. It was amusing to see Ulfat going through so much of hassle to only compete with Tamkinat on her Nikkah but it again shows that because there’s nothing wrong in her life, these petty things are her adventures & are things that excite her.
Afzal was hurt because of the way things were returned from Ustad Jee’s house. It was good that no one beat around the bush & they all clearly understood that it definitely must’ve been because of Ulfat. Tamkinat’s stance on supporting her Chacha & Chachi was heart-warming & the conversation that took place between her & Afzal was sweet too.
Closing Thoughts:
The best thing about Dil Mom Ka Diya is that things are pretty straight forward & there is no miscommunication or communication gap between the characters. Everyone in this drama is shown to be pretty mature & wise barring Ulfat’s character & that is why they all try to solve a matter as soon as possible without going around in circles. Salma did not like Ulfat’s attitude so she clearly told Afzal. Ulfat complained & Afzal told her the truth too – this is something that does not usually happen in our dramas as the writers rely heavily on misunderstandings to prolong the drama but that is not the case with Dil Mom Ka Diya & that is what I like the most about it. One mistake that I noticed was Tamkinat in stead of saying Mubarik Ho Kausar says Mubarik Ho Zubi in the rishta pakka scene – in the flow she took actor’s name in stead of the character’s. These things definitely need attention because it define & elevate the overall execution of the drama. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.
Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was decent enough to tune to. So far nothing special has happened but the focus on Ulfat’s character as well as the message that the writer Saira Raza has tried to convey through it has been pretty clear. Dil Mom Ka Diya is the kind of drama that is easy to watch but doesn’t really give you much to talk about because what you see is situational & nothing too deep to be discussed.
Developments:
Ulfat made it very clear that she won’t allow Azhar to get married to Tamkinat. Ulfat surely has issues & they need to be sorted. It is appreciable that she is unapologetically herself, at least that is better than being a hypocrite but then the way she is trying to interfere in Azhar’s life doesn’t really suit her. The more we get to see Ulfat, the more it becomes hard to like her. There is nothing wrong in being straight-forward but there is nothing right in being rude & vile & sadly, Ulfat comes across as that now. Ulfat has always been vocal about how she doesn’t & wouldn’t tolerate anyone’s interference in her personal affairs so why is she doing the opposite when it comes to Afzal’s family members?
Ulfat has everything going for her, she has a well-settled husband who loves her, she has a roof over her head, a son & a family who takes care of everything around her, plus acceptance & tolerance that everyone has shown towards her, so the things that she says or reacts on basically make her look like a bored housewife who finds cheap thrills in twisting things & then reacting on them only to kill her boredom. It seems since Ulfat can’t do much with her life & mostly has nothing better to do, she creates troubles for others especially Afzal as a time pass. The reasons that Ulfat mentioned where she didn’t want to see Tamkinat at the same spot as her were shallow & baseless. Ulfat is also not even ready to let Farhat, her younger sister get married to Azhar which clearly tells that no matter which ever girl Azhar would’ve chosen, Ulfat would’ve had problems with her. Ulfat already knows that no one in Afzal’s family holds high opinion of her, so it might be that she is scared of the constant comparison or competition she will be put through if Tamkinat becomes a member of her in-laws’ family – but then has she ever bothered about what they think about her before? Not really!!! Ulfat herself has never really paid heed to anything that Afzal’s family goes through so just because Tamkinat happens to be her cousin, she thinks she is entitled to react & oppose even though that’s not her place to have a say anyways.
Afzal has really treated Ulfat with utmost kindness but she still chooses to stay aloof to his feelings. It is quite interesting to see that even so much of patience & positivity has had zero influence on Ulfat. I guess it has a lot to do with her own mentality & perspective where she thinks she is this trophy wife that Afzal has scored & he should worship it like some idol. Afzal’s kindness is definitely being taken for granted but I am not sure what will happen IF Afzal will ever run out of patience.
Azhar had to actually convince Tamkinat & even though she liked him, she was too scared of Ulfat & the consequences she will have to face because of her. I liked that scene where in one moment, they showed two different perspectives – Azhar confessing his feelings to Tamkinat was taken differently by Afzal as well as Ulfat, it showed how they both are poles apart. Afzal respected Azhar’s choice & supported his decision & it was good to see him not letting Ulfat’s objection cloud his judgement. All the things Afzal said about Tamkinat went to show that he had formed his own opinion about her because of which he was being supportive of Azhar’s decision.
I really think Salma’s character gets a lot of screen-time & it looks boring & monotonous because Salma has nothing new to say apart from dissecting everything that Ulfat has done so far. I liked how Kausar tried to make Salma & Aqmal understand that they should respect Azhar’s choice & support his decision of getting married to Tamkinat because she is definitely better than Ulfat. Even in reality at times younger ones happen to be the voice of reason & this time around it was Kausar which was nice to see. This episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya ended on a positive note with Azhar & Tamkinat’s engagement but looks like Ulfat won’t sit still & do everything in her might to call it off.
Closing Thoughts:
Overall, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was decent. This drama in general is the kind that one can tune to for good acting, direction, an eccentric central character & well executed family politics/dynamics. So far there’s nothing new to the story but the overall treatment does make it a decent watch. I think all the actors have done a fab job in portraying their characters. There’s a very real feel to this drama minus the overall styling of some of the characters. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.
Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was pretty basic but it did take the story forward a little bit. The characters in Dil Mom Ka Diya are quite black & white but it is definitely interesting to see how it has been shown that things can work between two totally opposite people if the relationship is based on a lot of respect & tolerance from either side.
Developments In The Episode:
Ulfat continued being herself, unapologetically at that, so much so that she chose to overlook all the niceness that there is in her life & focused on things that weren’t according to her taste. Ulfat has a husband who not only puts up with everything that she does but also loves her so much to ignore all of her mistakes, yet she thinks she is entitled to so much more & no one should ever say anything to her or else she will blow it out of proportion. If Ulfat will ever take a look at herself, she will realize that Afzal has given so much more to this relationship than she has.
It is pretty obvious that Salma has an issue with Ulfat & Ulfat has an issue with Salma because of her interfering nature, but the difference is that Ulfat says it to her face whereas Salma tries to be manipulative about it but I feel Salma does poke her nose in the matters which do not require her opinion. Salma clearly had an issue with Afzal going to Ulfat’s house only to bring her back, like does Salma want Afzal to completely ignore his wife? Everyone knows what sort of a person Afzal is, so it is irrational to expext him to not accommodate his wife even in such situations where she is wrong. Unfortunately, it is pretty obvious that Ulfat takes Afzal for granted & she still thinks she is doing him favor by staying married to him.
In my opinion, they shouldn’t have moved the story forward by a few years because all the spats that Ulfat was now having with Kausar, Salma, Aqmal & even Afzal seemed out of the place. It looked like things have not moved on at all & even after so many years, Ulfat & everyone’s stuck at the same point? I feel if they had shown that Ulfat was still a newly wed as in may be an year old bride, all these fights & quarrels would’ve made a bit more sense. Also, I think if they had decided to take a few years’ leap, they should have changed Neelam Munir’s styling to make her look like a properly married woman & a mother of a kid because I fail to buy that despite being married for so many years, Ulfat still dresses like she used to when she was single? Yes, I know they had to keep the age difference between Afzal & Ulfat a bit too obvious but then that’s something which is what the story is based on so I am sure the viewers wouldn’t have forgotten about it anyways.
Salma decided to arrange a meet up of Kausar’s potential suitors but then she also cut Ulfat off even after she decided to help them? I think Salma really should show some maturity in dealing with Ulfat & just let her do her thing – especially after so many years have passed by, it is unconvincing that Salma still hasn’t learnt how she should deal with Ulfat. As usual, Ulfat gave it back to Salma at the wrong time & she again made an issue about it in front of Afzal. I feel Salma is the one who creates friction between Ulfat & Afzal because every time those two are together & on their own, they pretty much enjoy each other’s company & have no problems with one another. I honestly found it all a bit too unconvincing that after 5 years of marriage, everyone had an issue with Ulfat & vice versa, as if it had been a few weeks after Afzal’s marriage with Ulfat & everyone was having a hard time understanding her!
Tamkinat & Azhar formed a relationship too where Azhar was obviously drawn towards her but after seeing how considerate & genuinely nice Azhar was, Tamkinat also started liking him. It was obvious right from the moment Tamkinat’s character was introduced that Dil Mom Ka Diya’s story will go in that direction where Ulfat will have a problem with her cousin & she will be the first one to oppose this marriage. It was nice to see how Kausar formed a friendship with Tamkinat & she got to see what a sweetheart she was. I liked Tamkinat & Azhar’s scenes too, though nothing new, they were still nicely done & very sweet!
Ending Thoughts:
Overall, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was nothing special but was a decent watch. I am sure the story will be all about family politics from now on but I am keen to see if Ulfat’s character will ever show some mental growth. I really hope that doesn’t turn out to be the case where in last 20 seconds of last episode, everyone forgives Ulfat & forgets about her atrocities & they are a happy family, I hope if the change in her is on the cards, they make it gradual enough to look realistic. Neelam Munir has surely made Ulfat believable & very very real. She surely has given this character the kind of treatment it required to come across this way on screen. Yasir Nawaz is phenomenal as Afzal, I am glad the was chosen to play this role. I am not sure what Zubii Majeed has done to herself, may be its the choice of those colored lenses that is making her look very very different than how she looked in Aangan & I definitely prefer her look in Aangan than the one she is sporting in Dil Mom Ka Diya. She is a very good actor with a bright future ahead though but I am not liking her makeup/look in this drama. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.
Ohkay so, Dil Mom Ka Diya Episode 3 & 4 were fun to watch. To be honest when I tuned to this drama I had this idea that it is going to be a typical story with a lot of clichés to its credit but I must say, if directed & done well, simplest of stories & characters can look good & that is the case with Dil Mom Ka Diya. After watching this episode my thoughts have changed & I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the story because it is obvious that it has been handled with a lot of maturity.
Progress In The Episode:
This episode focused a lot more on Afzal & Ulfat’s relationship after marriage. Usually people think that those men who get married late are very rigid & stern but Afzal’s character turned out to be a breath of fresh air. Right from the beginning he got to realize that he & Ulfat are poles apart but he never once paid heed to their differences & only kept one thing in mind, that he had to make this marriage work & accept Ulfat the way she is. To be honest, Afzal & Ulfat’s couple & their relationship had the potential of looking cringey but the way both Yasir Nawaz & Neelam Muneer handled it & presented it on screen made it the most enjoyable aspect of the story that we have seen till date. Afzal continued to give Ulfat the edge & showed acceptance to her & she continued being unapologetically herself.
Even though Ulfat has that in her that she might not be liked by the viewers in general but I liked the fact that the writer kept her humane. Despite the objections Ulfat had regarding Afzal, she melted when she saw how fragile her father’s condition was & how Afzal was going out of the way to make sure he was treated well & had all the medical facilities. Who would have thought that a self-centred girl like Ulfat could put her father ahead of her & silently accept what he chose for her. Even though Ulfat was unhappy but even she never let that thought surface in her mind that she should put an end to this relationship.
I must say I found myself giggling when Afzal & Ulfat had their 1st ever conversation. Things could have been so so awkward but I loved the way it was carried out, with Ulfat just being herself & Afzal just letting her be. It was so sweet how Afzal didn’t take an offence to anything that Ulfat said as he was pretty much aware of their differences. I loved the way their relationship was carried out especially the scene when Ulfat goes to her house for the first time with Afzal & lets everyone know that she is married. It was interesting to see that Afzal never once told Ulfat what he expected from her & how she should behave, in fact he allowed her to be as he was aware of their age difference that is why he never expected her to change herself.
Salma & even Kausar took offence to everything that Ulfat did. I liked how the writer kept it realistic by showing that Ulfat & Aqmal could not have a good relationship, it happens & family members do have a lot of differences & personality clashes. Even though Kausar is the youngest but she was mature enough to tell Salma that Ulfat makes Afzal happy, so things should be left the way they are because by the end of the day, Afzal has no issues with his wife. I loved the scene when Afzal chooses to ignore things that Kausar & Azhar say about Ulfat & takes part in the party they all plan when she’s gone. Yes, Ulfat has an upper hand & Afzal has let go of a lot of things that she does but it goes to show that Afzal wanted to make this marriage work & believed in giving Ulfat the freedom she wanted while being also aware of the fact that the value of his family members does not change.
Tamkinat (Hira Mani) is the new entry who happens to be Ulfat’s cousin. Tamkinat is a polar opposite of Ulfat – she is sweet, considerate & soft-spoken & Azhar couldn’t resist getting attracted to her. I am sure Azhar’s interest in Tamkinat will serve as a bone of contention between Ulfat & everyone else & things will become pretty ugly.
Ending Thoughts:
Overall, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was everything that I couldn’t imagine it would be. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it & I must appreciate the writer for making it all very realistic. Yasir Nawaz & Neelam Munir deserve a special mention because if it wasn’t for them & their phenomenal acting, Afzal & Ulfat’s relationship wouldn’t have looked this amazing with such effortless chemistry. It could have looked very awkward on screen but they showed how such couples not only exist but lead a very marital happy life too. All the other actors have done a great job too, they all have owned their characters & made things look pretty effortless. Hira Mani is a phenomenal actor so I am eager to see what she has to offer in this role – I just wish she had a shorter & easier name though but I guess in the future episodes I will change it to Tam as it is going to be convenient for me. So far I am super happy with this drama & looking forward to it. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.
Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was intense & very interesting. It not only took the story forward but gave a beginning to the end in a very nice manner too. Dil Mom Ka Diya has been a good drama to watch because I liked how the writer maintained a balance & gave every single character a very strong personality.
As You Sow, So Shall You Reap:
Tipu proved to be a self-centered person who just took Ulfat as someone that he was sharing his life with. Tipu never really developed feelings for Ulfat because he was complete within himself therefore he didn’t see or feel any difference in his life after getting married. Tipu definitely learnt one thing about Ulfat that if he wanted to convince her for anything, all he had to do was praise her beauty. Slowly & steadily Ulfat did realize that she made a mistake by getting married to Tipu but she just had to put up with him because she knew she had nowhere to go.
Fatima succeeded in making a place for herself in Afzal’s home & his heart. As much as Ulfat was wrong in taking Afzal for granted, I fully support her for the way she treated Aqmal & Salma because they both deserved that kind of treatment. The way Aqmal insulted & belittled Fatima made my blood boil too because that was not his place to say anything to her in the first place.
Kausar still felt bad for Tamkinat but she didn’t have a clue as to how she should contact her. Tamkinat continued to wait for Azhar but her sister was adamant that she should get married now. Well, the world turned out to be smaller for Azhar than he imagined, his housemate liked Tamkinat & that is what compelled Azhar to admit that Tamkinat was still his wife because even he knew that they were not officially divorced.
Ulfat who was already having a hard time with Tipu got the final blow after he told her to terminate the pregnancy. For someone like Ulfat who had done the same thing herself previously, it should’ve been a piece of cake but it was not because this time, this wasn’t her decision. Life threw everything at Ulfat in a way that she didn’t imagine, Ulfat was now faced with one test after another & all of them revolved around the things that she took for granted. This was her fate & now there she was, taking care of her terminally ill husband who didn’t even respect her.
Closing Thoughts – Convincing Story & Characters:
Overall, the story of Dil Mom Ka Diya, though not being new still was good because of the kind of execution it got. The performances as well as the characters have been convincing too apart from few like Aqmal, Salma & Azhar but then despite being annoying, they had their own personalities. Dil Mom Ka Diya surely has been written with a lot of detailing & it made a very good drama to tune to. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.
Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was well executed & showed us some great performances by all the actors. The story of this drama might not be new bur there is some newness to it in general, I feel that may be because I am still unsure of the kind of ending Ulfat will meet, so it is still interesting to see her facing her fate.
Ulfat & Tipu Are A Match Made In Hell:
Ulfat has found an exact copy of her in the form of Tipu. Tipu is just exactly like Ulfat – careless, boisterous & straight forward to the point of being blunt that is why he has been the only person who left Ulfat speechless many times. Ulfat has slowly & steadily started to realize that Tipu is a polar opposite ot Afzal & she has also understood that Tipu doesn’t have as much patience as Afzal. Tipu is someone who believes in ruling his partner & he has not connected to Ulfat on an emotional level. For Tipu, Ulfat is just his partner who he is sharing his roof with, that is why he does not care much about her emotions & feelings.
Tamkinat & Azhar’s track now seems to be getting dragged but then it is understandable that they are running that story in the background so that they are not forgotten about but I feel we have seen their heartbreak enough already so it is better if some kind of progress is made in their track.
Fatima is doing her best to win Afzal as well as his kids over & slowly & steadily she is succeeding. Even though things have not changed drastically between Afzal & Fatima but the fact that Afzal now feels guilty after mistreating Fatima is basically a step in the right direction because Fatima deserves her share of happiness too.
I felt that this episode had more of a soundtrack & very less dialogues because more than half of the episode covered the emotions & feelings of all the characters which did get a tad bit boring. Well, despite not wanting to, Farhat got married & Tamkinat’s sister tried to make things work between Azhar & Tamkinat but things didn’t go according to her plan. Salma continued to be annoying but then whatelse can be expected from her? The moment Fatima said you should have informed before coming, Salma made sure to switch her nand mode on & remind Fatima that she could barge into Afzal’s home anytime she wanted. How typically & politically nand can she be?
Closing Thoughts – Interesting Change of Dynamics:
Overall, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was definitely interesting because in such a later stage of the story, we got to see a new character which is not only interesting but has changed the dynamics of the story as well. Even though Fatima’s character does not have that spark, Tipu definitely compensates for that. I am definitely looking forward to what more Tipu has in store for Ulfat.
