After lending his vocals in Coke Studio’s Muntazir alongside Momina Mustehsan, Danyal Zafar (who is also musician Ali Zafar’s younger brother) is ready to make his small screen debut with Tana Bana.

“For a serial it’s my debut but I’ve worked on the screen prior to this in web-series Baarwan Khiladi. So technically it’s my second time on screen but at the same time my first as well,” says Danyal, opening up about the experience of working on the project. “Both are two completely different worlds.”

Speaking about the story, Danyal revealed how it’s about a boy who is a hardcore horoscope believer. “A boy who believes in stars comes across a girl who isn’t exactly a match for him based on their horoscope but he still goes for it and it’s this entire thing on how the girl has her own ambitions, and her life revolves around the marriage. How she stands up for herself and how that causes a shift in the family dynamics. So just comedy, romance, pain, etc,” he said.

He said he relates to his character quite a bit. “I related to the emotional capacity of the character a lot,” Danyal said. “The boy is emotional and a heartthrob — that’s how I am,” he added, exclaiming that the relationship with his mom depicted in the serial is very realistic.

Speaking of family, Danyal said he doesn’t feel the pressure of being related to someone famous and just focuses on his own work. “The best thing I do for myself is that I completely forget I’m anyone’s brother. I just look at myself as myself and step into the shoes of the character I have,” he said.

Directed by Saifee Hassan and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions, the cast also includes Komal Rizvi, Javeria Abbasi, Amir Qureshi, Ismath and Hassan Noman. The serial will be aired in this upcoming Ramazan.

Danish Taimoor is one of the biggest stars in the country and the actor has some advice for actors reviewing dramas these days. He focuses on his work and he has given many hit dramas in the past few years. From Deewangi and Abb Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai to Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi and Jaan Nisar, Danish Taimoor has been ruling the screens. His fans also love how he is a family oriented man and he is often seen spending quality time with superstar wife Ayeza Khan and their two beautiful children.

Danish was a guest on Mazaq Raat and he spoke about why he does not give too many interviews. He said that in all these shows, actors are seen targeting their fellow actors. In his 18 year long career, he has never badmouthed anyone. He also never replies if somone says anything negative about him. He therefore refrains from going for interviews.

The star went on to advise others actors who are reviewing dramas or are seen criticizing other actors. He said that this criticism does not affect anyone’s image or their work. Also everyone should be judged on their experience and ability and you cannot expect a young actor will be as good as a seasoned one.

Danish Taimoor’s Advice To Fellow Actors

Wujood had it’s press launch at the Ocean Mall with a packed audience. It marks Javed Sheikh’s directional comeback and is produced by Momal Sheikh and Shehzad sheikh.

The cast of the film includes Danish Taimoor as Faizan, Saeeda Imtiaz as Aarzo and Aditi Singh (Indian Telugu film actress) as Jessica in leading roles while Ali Saleem, Frieha Altaf, Faiza Khan, Asad Mehmood, Shaheen Khan, Nadeem Baig, Shahid and Javed Sheikh will be seen in supporting roles.

The film revolves around the trio and is a romantic thriller. Javed Sheikh had previously announced Wujood in 2015 and revealed that it’s not a usual romantic love story, will be intense and something different.

Pakistani audience is becoming habitual of expecting some good projects from the filmmakers of the country who have, by now, figured out what the audience really want to see on big screens. It is, however, important to mention that the TV artists have a great role in the rival of the Pakistani film industry. With so many movies lined up to be released early in 2014, Danish Taimoor, too, will be making his debut with a feature film ‘Jalaibee’.

Been directed by Yasir A Jaswal, the movie comes under the production of Jaswal Films and S3RMAD Films.

Apart from Danish Taimoor, the movie enjoys a rich starcast where Ali Safina, Adnan Jaffar, Ali Rehman, Uzair Jaswal, Waqar Ali Khan and Zhalay Sarhadi will be seen playing major roles. Ali Rehman is cherished by the audience for his flawless acting in drama serial ‘Rishtay Kuch Adhooray se’.
