Sania Mirza (born 15 November 1986) is a professional Indian tennis player, doubles world no 1 former player too. She has won 6 titles of Grand Slam in her whole career. Due to her contributions in tennis, she was ranked as no 1 Indian tennis player by the Women’s Tennis Association. Sania has proved herself the most established, successful, highly Paid, and most high-profile Indian tennis player by her devotion and passion.

In her career of singles, Sania had a great win over many notable and high-profile athletes like Svetlana Kuznetsova, Vera Zvonareva, Marion Bartoli, and former world’s no 1 players which are Martina Hingis, Dinara Safina, and Victoria Azarenka too. In mid-2007, peaking at world no 27, Sania was the highest-ranked female player in India.

Due to a major wrist injury, she gave up on her singles career and focused on Doubles. In Doubles Sania has won WTA finals alongside Cara Black and also with Martina Higgins. So far Sania is the only female player from India to win a WTA title of any kind. Mirza has won more WTA doubles titles than any player that has been on tour to Grand Slam. By his winnings of WTA Doubles, she was crowned as the WTA newcomer of the year. In 2015 Sania and Martina Higgins were the doubles team of the year. She had many winning streaks as well as gold medals in different sports events named as Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Afro-Asian Games. In March 2010 she was named one of the “50 Heroes of Asia” as well as the 100 most influential people in the world.

Sania Mirza married Pakistan’s former skipper Shoaib Malik on 12th April 2010. Sania was really impressed by Shoaib’s performance in the match between Pakistan and India and Shoaib was captain of the team at that time.

Shoaib Malik (born on 1 February 1982) is a player of the Pakistan National Cricket team and also a part of Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). From 2007 to 2009, he was the captain of the Pakistan National Cricket team. He made his debut in One-day International in 1999 against West Indies and his Test debut against Bangladesh in 2001.

He is the first male cricketer to play 100 international T20Is. He has crowned 150 ODI wickets and a batting average of the 30s in both Test and ODI cricket. He undergoes elbow surgery to correct his bowling action which has come under scrutiny specially doosra. In ICC ODI ranking Malik has ranked second in June 2008. Besides all of these rankings, Malik received a one-year ban from Pakistan National Cricket from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Malik has also crowned the title of the highest run-scorer in T20Is for Pakistan on September 3rd,2017.

To focus on World Cup 2019, Shoaib announced his retirement from test cricket on 3rd November 2015. He announced his retirement from ODI cricket on July 5th, 2019. He has become the first Pakistani batsman to score 10,000 runs in the 2020-21 National T20 Cup.
