Hema Malini was born on the 16th of October 1948; she is an Indian film actress, dancer, writer, director, producer, and a politician too. She is the daughter of Jaya Lakshmi and VSR Chakravarti. Hema is known as one of the most successful actresses of old times in Hindi Cinema. She made her acting debut in 1963 by playing role in a Tamil film named Idhu Sathiyam. She acted her main role in the film Sapno Ka Saudagar in 1968 and then she starred in numerous Bollywood Films.
Most of the time she was featured opposite her husband Dharmendra and other famous actors like Rajesh Khanna and Dev Anand. Movies in which she played lead roles as a heroine with these three actors are The Burning Train, Raja Jani, Baghavat, Rajput, Dharm Aur Qanoon, Janta Hawaldar, Ginny Aur Johnny, Prem Nagar, Chhupa Rustam, Tere Mere Sapne, and Jaaneman. At the peak of her career, she was called by the name of “Dream Girl” and later she starred in the film of the same name as well.
The accolades and awards crowned by her include the Filmfare Award for Best Actress, Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, Padma Shri which is the fourth-highest civilian honor awarded by the Government of India, Honorary Doctorate by Sir Padampat Singhania University, and NTR National Award. Apart from Bollywood Hema is a Politician too so from 2003 to 2009 she was elected to the Rajya Sabha as a representative of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She married Dharmendra in 1980.
Dharmendra’s Early Life
Dharam Singh Deol aka Dharmendra was born on 8 December 1935 in Ludhiana district, Punjab to Kewal Kishan Singh Deol and Satwant Kaur. He is a famous Indian actor, producer, and politician as well. He is also known by the name of “He-Man” of Indian Cinema and one of the most famous and successful actor of Bollywood. He made his acting debut in 1960 by playing role in the film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere.
Dharmendra’s Bollywood Journey
One of Dharmendra’s most famous and notable roles was in the film “Sholay” which is listed as one of the “Top 25 must-see Bollywood films of all time” by India times. After that Sholay was elected as Filmfare Best Film of 50 years by the judges of the 50th annual Filmfare Awards. Other movies in which he had played roles are Apne, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Loha, Ankhen, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Indian, Pratigya, Jugnu, Tahalka, Chupke Chupke, Elaan-E-Jung, and many other movies as well.
Honours And Awards
The awards that he has crowned in his lifetime are Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award, World Iron Man award, Special Award for his “contribution in Indian Cinema” at the Kalakar Awards, and IIFA Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also voted as the 10 most handsome men in the world in the mid-seventies. As a politician in 2012, Dharmendra was a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India, from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and was awarded as India’s third-highest civilian honor Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.

Dharmendra has two daughters from Hema Malini which are Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Dharmendra was married to Parkash Kaur formerly with whom he has two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
