For months, we’ve all been waiting for some news on Umera Ahmed’s upcoming projects. The admins of her page have been answering some questions to give us a better idea of what she’s working on. Here’s what I’ve learned so far.

Umera Ahmed’s next projects are a novel, Doar, and her next drama is Master Aur Afsar.

Umera Ahmed won’t be writing for television anymore. Master aur Afsar will be her last drama. Her novel Aks will not be dramatized either.

She has joined 7th Sky Entertainment as the Consulting Editor. They will also  be producing her final show.

I’m very happy for Umera Ahmed, but I will miss her shows. There’s still no word on the film she is writing, but I hope to learn more soon. 7th Sky seems to be upping their game and this is a great way to start. I wish her good luck and hope she’s very successful in her new position.

As per unconfirmed reports published in many Urdu papers, Umera Ahmed the acclaimed drama writer is approached by Agha Sajjad Gull a leading film producer of Pakistan to write for his upcoming film.

Agha Sajjad Gull has been a leading producer of Pakistan. He is the owner of Evernew studios Lahore as well as Evernew productions. The production house produced many super hit films till late 1990’s like Tere Pyar Mein, Deewane Tere Pyar Mein, Jo Darr Gaya Woh Marr Gaya, Ghar Kab Aaoo Gay, Kalay Chorr to name a few. After Tere Pyar Mein (1999), Evernew productions shifted its attention towards Television productions . They did produce few films like No Paisa No Problem, Chalo Ishq Larain which were not much successful.

On television Evernew productions produced few famous plays like Aaye Gi Baraat series.

Umera Ahmed is a brilliant Pakistani writer who has been thoroughly garnering fame since she started writing. In start , she used to write for digests . Her novels Amar Bail , Man O Salwa, Peer E Kamil and Thora Sa Aasman were too popular among readers.

Lately, the writer has started writing for almost all the famous television channels . Not only this , she has also rendered all her previous famous writings to channels except Peer E Kamil .

She further said, “Is it permissable to write stories and fiction in Islam ? Is it right to add romance in those stories? , I am also confused regarding it”.

Adding more to it, she said , “I used to be a teacher where I used to teach girls and boys and was reluctant about my job too . I worked with male colleagues and constantly used to feel that the job had a bold environment to work ”

She further said that she was equally confused when she went to UK for writing course . She said that life is full of confusions.

Umera said to the fan that the time will clear all the confusions and you will get an answer to all your questions as there was a time when religious scholars used to say that television is Haram and using camera is not allowed but now we find all those scholars on the same television screens.

She said , “there are two mindsets modern and orthodox and both don’t work well with me , I then seek help from the text that’s in Quran . I also seek guidance from authentic Ahadees when I am in confusion”

They said that it was only Zindagi Gulzar Hai which was well made by the drama makers rest all her dramas are being destroyed by the makers.

After listening to my wish The Prophet PBUH then put His hand on my back and I fell off the sky and another hand caught me and brought me in front of his face and asked: “Do You Know Me?” I said, “No” and He replied, “I am Ghaus-e-Azam”.

Senior Actor & comedian Umer Sharif who is suffering from heart disease has once again come in the news because of an ongoing property transfer case.

Following the property transfer case, a man named Salman has reached to the court against Umer Sharif and Zareen Ghazal. He bought a flat from Umar Sharif’s wife.

Muhammad Salman, who bought a flat from Umer Sharif’s wife Zareen Ghazal has approached the court and asked court to become a party in the case as according to him, he bought flat in 4.5 crore from Zareen Ghazal in the presence of Umer Sharif himself along with full documentation but now Umer Sharif himself approached the court and didn’t transfer the property. The petitioner Muhammad Salman has requested the court to hand over the flat to him after intervening into the case.

Umer Sharif’s lawyer said that his third wife Zareen Ghazal has sold the plot without his consent on the fake signatures & documentation and that is why Umer Sharif reached the court.

The court has sent notice to Umer Sharif and Zareen Ghazal to record their answer regarding it by 21st November 2021.

Umer Naru is a talented young actor, best known for his role in Pyare Afzal, where he played the gullible Mehtaab. He also played the very sweet and sensitive brother-in-law in Durr-e-shahwar and these days, viewers can see him take on the role of Shehzada Taimoor in Sarmad Khoosat’s Mor Mahal.

In a recent interview with Dawn Images, Umer Naru talked about his character and his experience working in Mor Mahal.

When asked about the most challenging thing about working in Mor Mahal, Umer answered, ”Shooting through the brain-melting summer, dressed in thick layers of clothing, whilst maintaining game face.”

The characters in Mor Mahal have to speak khalis, saqeel Urdu. Umer Naru was asked if that was a challenge. ”By the time we went into shooting, I was well prepared. And yes, I did learn quite a few new words along with their historical context. Words like saazindey, aseelein(female guards of the harem) and kornish…but mostly I picked up on the right pronunciations of words.”

He played the nice guy in Pyare Afzal, Durr-e-shahwar, Mirat-ul-uroos. Why is that? ”It so happened that those scripts passed the bare minimum standard I had set for myself. I don’t know if there is a trap and even if there is one I ain’t falling for it.”

Talking about his character in Mor Mahal, ”Prince Taimoor is an idealist, who wears his heart on his sleeve. He is a good-natured, naive young nawab who finds himself caught in unusual set of circumstances. His parents’ political disagreements and life choices have a direct impact on the course of his destiny.”

Umer Naru admitted that essaying the role of Shehzada Taimoor gave an opportunity to discover his strengths and limitations as an actor. ”I haven’t exposed myself like this on screen before. Sometimes, in emotionally charged or physically demanding scenes, the line between restraint and over emoting seemed thin.”

Umer Naru has done a lot of theater work. In 2012, an international Shakespeare festival was held by the prestigious Globe Theatre were 37 countries took part to perform Shakespearean plays in their native languages. Umer Naru went to England and got to perform in Taming of the Shrew. This was one of his most cherished experiences that helped him gain confidence.

Umer Aalam is a celebrated Pakistani TV and film actor who began his showbiz journey through theatre. He gained initial recognition with the hit drama serial Shehnai on ARY Digital and later appeared in the feature film Parchi. Umer became a household name after winning Tamasha Season 1. Social media users are criticizing Umer Aalam for proposing to his fiancée on a plane, stating that it was a cringe-worthy show and completely unnecessary for the flight passengers. Some people claimed that it was a publicity stunt planned by Fly Jinnah to promote their airline.
