Arsalan Butt is a renowned Pakistani television actor and model known for his performances in dramas such as Haqiqat, Korangi Kay Sarangi, Ghari Do Ghari, Sara Sajeeda, Meri Baji, Naseebon Jali, Main Haar Nahi Manun Gi, Ajnabi Lagay Zindagi, Nalaiq, and Bharam. Recently, fans praised his performance in Hum TV’s hit drama Hadd.
A few months ago, the actor made headlines when Mamya Shahjafar accused him of harassment and “thirst trapping” during one of their project’s meetups. Arsalan Butt did not stay silent, and Mamya Shahjafar later retracted her allegations.
Recently, Arsalan Butt appeared on Fariha Farrukh’s podcast, where he spoke about how Mamya Shahjafar’s allegations could have ruined his career and how he has been handling the situation.
Responding to a question about whether such allegations can affect a person’s career, Arsalan Butt said, “Of course, such allegations can affect a person’s career. I am counting this matter seriously. I am not that weak to commit suicide, but I will face it. I have worked with some of the biggest names, and no one has ever said a word against my character—not only in Pakistan but internationally as well. My friends and colleagues admire my jolly nature and always praise my character. None of them has ever pointed a finger at my character. I will deal with this.” Watch here.
Talking about how he is handling the matter, Arsalan said, “I am dealing with it with patience, patience, and patience, through the legal route. I have a thousand ways to shut that person up, but I am choosing the legal way.” Watch here.
Mamya Shahjafar is a popular Pakistani actress who recently made headlines after appearing in Iffat Omar’s show, Say It All with Iffat Omar. She alleged that a co-star named “Arsalan Khan” behaved inappropriately with him , calling him a “thirsty man,” who was making unprompted comments about her weight/body, and aggressively reacting to her argument about feminism. She also claimed he tried to force a hug on her despite her repeatedly saying “no”. Initially, all bashed Hira Khan’s husband Arsalan Khan after which she changed statement saying it was Arsalan Butt who was also appearing in hit Hum TV’s show Hadd.
Recently, Arsalan Butt gave a detailed interview to Voice of Click Me Pakistan. In the podcast, he addressed harassment allegations by Mamya Shahjafar. He also gave details about the court trial against Mamya Shahjafar.
Arsalan Butt said, “If the allegations were true then she should have come in front of the media, she should have filed a complaint against me with the police, and made sure that she set an example out of me. This incident that you are quoting to me is an incident from a channel whose owner is a woman. Would she allow an abuser to work in her domain? Is that even possible? What is the evidence? If some kind of misadventure like this happened to a woman in your house, what will be your reaction? I will make sure that the person does not see the next day’s sun. I won’t wait for four years for when a project or a film of mine is about to come out so I can cash in on it. With all due respect, this is a disgusting allegation against me which makes absolutely no sense, and the person who has leveled this allegation against me, the person will be answerable in the court. I shouldn’t be able to talk much about this controversy because this matter has gone to court. Sir, I have filed two cases against her. One is a complaint in the FIA, right? Whose hearing is about to begin. And the second is a defamation case; this has been filed in court. This is the exact question I ask them: why me? Why is she speaking up after four years? Why didn’t she speak up before? Why did she stay quiet? Why did she remain silent? Why wasn’t legal action taken against me? This is exactly what I want to know from them. I am really puzzled by the recent “harkatain” and messages of Aamir liaquat in his Ramzan transmission on express tv (not that there were no harkatain before but now they have increased 10 folds). After watching the video below, I was forced to think that there is really something wrong with his mental state. Is it a mere jealousy or extreme arrogance which is making him say all this or what else?? Having the knowledge about Islam, he should know that arrogance is strongly disliked in Islam. His behavior is really contradicting his claims to be a religious scholar.
I have not seen Fahad Mustafa saying anything bad about Aamir liaquat in his show or even claiming to be the best host. The most upsetting part is when these so called religious scholars totally ignore one of the most emphasized aspect of Islam: ikhlaqiat. All these commercial Ramazan transmissions are taking people away from the true meaning of Ramazan. Instead of spending time in ibadah, learning and doing good deeds, and asking for forgiveness from Allah (swt), people are busy watching these commercial shows and learning the tricks to win a mobile. I hope things change and our media start emphasizing more on the true essence of Ramazan.
Please share your thoughts.

Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed landed in a huge controversy when a video from the shooting went insanely viral. Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed were shooting for the song “Qubool” and they were seen dancing in Masjid Wazeer Khan, Lahore.
The video received a lot of hate and backlash especially from the religious genus of the country. The instant action was taken, Bilal Saeed also issued an apology, and that sequel was also removed from the song’s video. A case was also filed against Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed under the act of 295 for trampling upon the respect of the mosque.
According to the recent development judicial magistrate has issued the arrest warrants of Bilal Saeed and Saba Qamar. The arrest warrants of the actress and singer are issued for not showing up on court on the said dates. The arrest warrants of 6th of October has been issued.
Senior Tv actor Iffat Omar and Singer Ali Gul Pir are quite vocal on social media about different issues. Same has happened when the Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar’s controversy arose. Both have spoken up against Ali Zafar after which he filed defamation case against both. Both have been facing court notices, now the court has issued arrest warrants and rejected the plea of exemption from appearing in court.
In a written order, the Judicial Magistrate has issued the non-bailable arrest warrants for actress Iffat Omar and Ali Gul Pir. The court also directed singer Meesha Shafi and Maham Javed to appear before the court at the next hearing.
The court has also rejected the plea of accused Leena Ghani and Fareeha Ayub and said that the accused are failing to satisfy the court regarding the exemption of permanent attendance while the FIA lawyer also opposed the plea of the accused for permanent exemption from attendance.
Court said that all the accused are failing to satisfy the court in this regard by not showing presence in the court . It is to be remembered that in the previous court trial Iffat Omar’s health also reportedly got deteriorated and she got fainted. In place of Meesha , her mother was appearing before court , in previous trials.
In March 2015, customs officials arrested supermodel Ayyan Ali at Islamabad airport, upon recovering $506,800 from her luggage. Ayyan later denied any role in money laundering. She was released from Adiala prison in Rawalpindi after spending almost four months in detention.
Today, a court in Rawalpindi issued arrest warrants for Ayyan in connection with the killing of a customs inspector who would have been a key prosecution witness in the money laundering case against her.
The court ordered police to arrest the accused immediately. Warrants have also been issued for others accused in the case, including customs superintendent Zargham and Dr Haroon.
Customs Inspector Chaudhry Ejaz Mahmood would have been the key prosecution witness in the money laundering case. Mahmood was in charge of the PIA cargo air freight unit (AFU) state warehouse at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in 2015 and was the person that took official custody of the currency recovered from Ayyan in March 2015. He was shot dead by two unidentified men last year.
The inspector’s wife told the police that some men threatened to kill Mahmood if he failed to make false entries in the official record to weaken the case against Ayyan and relieve her of the charges. Mahmood’s brother Chaudhry Riaz Afzal also recorded his statement before the police.
Ayyan was released but now, a Rawalpindi court has issued arrest warrants and according to the orders, Ayyan needs to be presented in the court within a month.
A sessions court in Lahore has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for host and actor Ayesha Sana in a cybercrime case. The arrest warrants were issued by sessions court in Lahore over the non-appearance of the Saiqa fame actress in the case. Her ex-husband Yousuf Baig has registered a case against Ayesha for defaming his family on the internet.
Yousuf claimed that Ayesha posted inappropriate photos of his wife and daughter on social media. She uploaded their private media on a website as well that “brought disgrace” upon his family. Consequently, the court directed Ayesha to show up for the hearing.
This is not the first time arrest warrants have been issued against Ayesha. In July 2020, she was booked for fraud, and raids were conducted in Lahore and Islamabad to arrest her. The case was lodged on the complaint of Ali Moin, who was associated with the real estate business. Ali claimed that Sana had borrowed Rs2 million from him and gave him a cheque that later bounced. Ayesha had family terms with Ali’s family and he had lent her money on several occasions, he added.
According to the Dawn, a sessions court in Karachi on Tuesday issued a bailable arrest warrant against Pakistan’s former captain Wasim Akram after he missed 31 hearings of a case he filed against Major (retd) Aminur Rehman and associates last August after he was involved in a road accident with the retired army man.
The major had drawn out a revolver and fired an open shot after his vehicle collided with Akram’s Mercedes while the former cricketer was returning home from the National Stadium.
Earlier reports suggested that the matter was settled between the two parties on the intervention of influential people in a few days. The sessions court has set the next date of hearing for January 17 and directed police to ensure Wasim makes an appearance. Wasim is currently in Australia for the Pakistan and Australia series.
There is one person from fashion industry whom everyone is familiar with and that is none other than supermodel (Ex) Ayyan Ali.
Ayyan was arrested on March 14, 2015, on charges of money laundering after Customs officials recovered $506,000 from her luggage at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad before she could board a flight to Dubai. As expected Ayyan pleaded “not guilty” in this case but still she spent 4 month in Rawalpindi Adiala Jail and her judicial remand was extended 16 times.
Her name was removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) on 23rd February and she left for Dubai. Now the court is calling her again and again and obviously she did not appear. First it was said by her lawyer that she was ill and now her mother is ill and she has to attend her. On this judge Sheeraz Kiyani expressed anger and issued warrants to arrest her and produce her in front of the court. The cort has called Ayyan 12 times now.
