With about half of the diagnosed cases under the age of 30, there is an urgent need to tackle fallacies around it and drive a perception change.”

“MTV Nishedh Alone Together conveys that in a unique and impactful way. The youth of today is more aware, sensitive, and conscious about issues that plague our country. TB is a continuing menace, and its impact has only worsened through the pandemic. The fight to curb TB is more difficult now than ever and that’s what prompted me to come on board. As someone who is in a place of influence, I hope my presence helps in some way to collectively fight the societal conventions and bring about a positive change,” Sania Mirza added.

A few months ago Pakistan’s tennis star, Aisam ul Haq Qureshi announced a fantastic initiative by his charity foundation, “Stop War Start Tennis”. This new initiative is called, “Stars Against Hunger” which is focused on the fight against hunger in Pakistan, the organization is now working towards providing food rations to 100,000 families in the country

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza recently donated her racquet to Pakistani tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq for his charity foundation Stars Against Hunger. The tennis stars from Pakistan and India met in Dubai on Saturday, as Aisam was in UAE for a transit stay while on his way back from the Sofia Open tour in Bulgaria.

Sania’s husband and Pakistan’s former cricket captain Shoaib Malik was also present as the celebrity couple hosted Aisam for lunch. “I couldn’t meet Sania earlier when she was in Pakistan as I was on tennis tour. So, it was an opportunity for me to meet an old friend”, added Aisam.

“She was kind enough to donate her tennis racquet to me for my organization Stars Against Hunger,” the Pakistani tennis star added. Aisam said that Sania is an old friend and if he was in Pakistan earlier, he would have hosted her and Malik in Lahore.

In her tweet after the ICC final , Sania Malik said that both the countries should celebrate because both of them have won.
