Qarz e Jaan was not a run off the mill drama. The show has a strong storyline and performances to match that strength. Yumna Zaidi, Usama Khan, Nameer Khan, Deepak Perwani, Sakina Samo, Salma Zafar, Fajr Sheikh, Faisal Rehman, Tazeen Hussain and every other star associated with this project gave their 100%. The writer of the show Rabia Razzaque spoke to Taar Media about her motivations to write this story and the messages she wanted to deliver.
Rabia Rzzaque said that they showed how widows can have a life too. With Bisma and Asim’s love story, she showed how you can start a new chapter in your life even if you are older. A man and a woman need more companionship after a certain age and she was able to convey that message. She said people need more support emotionally and otherwise at a mature age.
This is what she said:
Rabia Razzaque also spoke about the importance of a career in a woman’s life. She said that she wanted to show through Qarz e Jaan how having your own career empowers you. The message of women empowerment and power of youth was relayed through Nashwa’s character.
This is what Rabia Razzaque had to say:
With Ammar Bakhtiyar in Qarz e Jaan, she was able to show the importance of right parenting. With affirming wrong behaviour and not showing your child the right way to live your life, you destroy the whole family. She said that she knew that Ammar was a character who will make the audience and the drama characters cry. She said that the upbringing that parents give a child comes back. What Ammar did was dependent on both his nature and wrong upbringing by his grandma and father.
Qarz e Jaan is a Hum TV’s critically acclaimed prime time drama serial which is near to its end. The drama serial has been written by Rabia Razzzaque and it has been directed by Saqib Khan. It is a Momina Duraid productions’ presentation. The cast features Yumna Zaidi and Usama Khan, Nameer Khan and others in the main leads.
Recently, the Qarz e Jaan writer has given an interview to a Canadian based digital creator Guriya. In the interview Qarz e Jaan writer admitted that she didn’t want to cast Yumna Zaidi. She also opened up about the flaws of Nashwa.
Talking about casting, she said, “Even for Nashwa, I initially thought she might fall out of the character’s age bracket, but Saqib said, “Don’t worry.” Then Yumna Zaidi performed extremely well. I actually had Sajal Aly in mind for Nashwa, but now I’m satisfied with how Yumna portrayed her. She truly looks the part. She doesn’t focus on just looking good on screen—she’s less concerned about things like her eyebrows or hair”
Talking about flaws in Nashwa’s character, she said, “I am clear about Nashwa — we can be brave, confident, and ambitious, but we still make mistakes. The most confident person often makes the most mistakes. Confidence can lead you to make more blunders in life. Now, we take Nashwa as a hero who can’t make mistakes, but she is one of us — a normal girl. She will make mistakes. Nashwa is a human being like us, and she will learn from her mistakes. It is a daily life story”.

But Nameer made me cry so much; even though I hate Ammar, I still felt bad for him.” Another said, “OMG, Ammar’s confession after Benish’s breaking point—loved the way Ammar gave a reality check to his father. Nameer Khan nailed it.” A fan added, “Though I have no sympathies for Ammar, OMG, what an outstanding performance by Nameer Khan!”
Another praised Nameer’s acting, saying, “Dude, Ammar, you seriously killed it today—you absolutely nailed it and left me speechless.” However, many viewers also pointed out that Ammar was a murderer and should not be glorified. Ammar is a murderer, and nothing justifies his actions.” Another commented, “Ammar should not be glorified.” Fans also said that the writer turned Ammar into a victim.
Fans loved the happy ending between Nashwa and Burhan, expressing their joy over their union. A fan wrote, “At least Burhan and Nashwa ended up together… inner peace!” Many also praised the outstanding and mature performances by Usama Khan and Yumna Zaidi as Burhan and Nashwa. Qarz e Jaan is Yumna Zaidi’s comeback on Hum TV. It is a very Yumna style project wth a strong script, a story that has hooked the audience and she has completely gotten under the skin of the protagonist Nashwa. The drama has suspense and danger and Nashwa has jumped in without caring about the consequences.
Nashwa has decided to take Ammar to the cleaners for his crimes and she will not back down under any pressures. Her scenes with both Nameer Khan and Deepak Perwani were phenomenal and she showed why she is considered the best. She shined in each frame and she wants the audience to look forward to the drama.
Yumna Zaidi stole the show in Qarz e Jaan and this is how the public reacted:
Qarz e Jaan is a Hum TV’s prime time drama serial which is written by Rabia Razzaque. The drama is directed by talented Pakistani director Saqib Khan. Qarz e Jaan is finally heading towards its finale tonight. The drama showcased topics like toxic parenting, generational traumas and elite crimes in Pakistan. The stars of the show Yumna Zaidi, Usama Khan and Nameer Khan are finally heading for a showdown. Burhan is defending Ammar while his own wife aka Nashwa is fighting against him. The court hearing took place in the second last episode and people have a lot to say about Burhan’s decision to defend Ammar.
Qarz e Jaan fans are defending Burhan. They think it was the right decision from Burhan’s side to take this case. This way Taya Abu cannot manipulate facts. He is in a way defending Nashwa again. Also he is a lawyer and as he said in the episode someone was bound to take Ammar’s case at some point.
The internet is agreeing with Burhan once again. They think Nashwa is playing a hypocrite here as she herself married a rapist but she has issues with Burhan defending him in court. One netizen said, “Yes Burhan is right. Every criminal has the right to defend himself.’ Others said, ‘Nashwa is too angry to understand that Burhan did the right thing. This way he can help Nashwa win the case.’ Burhan’s fans are speaking out for him as Qarz e Jaan heads for a finale tonight:
Qarz e Jaan is a drama that has hooked the audience. The latest twist with Ammar killing his own brother-in-law Asad has shook the fandom. Ammar is in a state of shock after coming to the realization of what he has done. Nameer Khan has done a fantastic job with the role and he made sure to relay Ammar’s emotions without even speaking a word. Deepak Perwani as Baray Abbu and Sakina Samo as Daadi are still menacing.
Fajr Sheikh plays Beenish in the drama and she was the only character who was always smiling. She has now lost the love of her life at her own brother’s hands. She has also lost her son as her in-laws took him away. The turmoil she portrayed on the screen is phenomenal. She is another capable young actress who brought the viewers to tears the way she broke down. She is receiving love and praise for such a strong performance.
Here is the scene:
The internet is applauding Fajr Sheikh for such a moving performance. One fan said, “Hats off to Fajr Sheikh for bringing me to tears.” Another felt like it was a story from her own home. Fajr Sheikh thanked Zia Mohyuddin, Talat Hussain and all her other mentors at NAPA for making her the actress that she is today after all the appreciation:
Qarz e Jaan finally comes with its mega twist. Ammar Bakhtiyar, the bad boy everyone started to love despite his crimes turns into the villain that he truly is. The character was shown with all his flaws. How society and his family shaped him into becoming the criminal that he became. His father and grandmother kept supporting him and he finally made his own brother-in-law his victim.
Nameer Khan played Ammar Bakhtiyar to the best of his capacity. He brought a sense of urgency in Qarz e Jaan. He looked drugged out as he not only shot his brother-in-law but also showed is dead body to his beloved sister on a video call. The scene was bone-chilling and left the audience in shock.
This is the scene that shook everyone:
The internet is loving the drama and at the same time they are shocked by the whole scenario. One netizen said, “How cruel Ammar is as a brother.” Another added, “By concealing his crimes in the past, his father made him into this monster.”. People are also hating how the grandmother still wants to save the grandson and does not care about the widowed granddaughter. Check out the reaction:
Qarz e Jaan right now is a critically hit drama that is gaining a lot of love from the audience. The writing and performances are what make this show a treat to watch. One wants to analyze every character and even villains have redeeming qualities. The close to reality script has moved towards its biggest plot twist with Nashwa and Ammar’s marriage and fans want to see what will happen next.
The recent episode has finally shown Yumna Zaidi aka Nashwa being married off to Ammar aka Nameer Khan. No one is happy about it, even Taya Jaan and Daadi Jan are also just being vindictive. The episode brought in some of the best scenes and interactions between the characters. Sidra is being the green flag mother-in-law as she teaches her problematic son to be nice to his wife. Ammar and his mother’s equation is winning the audience. His anguish was clearly scene in Nameer Khan’s expressions while Sidra giving advice to save her daughter-in-law from a fate like hers was the cherry on top.
Here is the scene:
Another scene that was epic was Asim saying that Nashwa is like his daughter. She is as dear to him as Burhan. He was ready to go and apologize to his enemies while putting his ego aside as saving Nashwa was more important. Asim is being dubbed another green flag and a man of honour.
This is the scene:
The internet is loving Ammar’s love for his mother and how Sidra tried to steer her son in the right direction. The bond shared by both got a lot of appreciation. The strong performances of the cast are also getting praises as Sidra and Ammar really brought mother-son love to the screens:
Qarz e Jaan is a drama that has gradually won the audience. A strong story paired with even stronger performances and good direction made people believe that Pakistani television is here to stay. With many strong themes addressed in the show, the biggest twist now comes with Nashwa and Ammar’s marriage. What fans were guessing turned out to be true.
Bisma was weak till the end and needed her in-laws’s approval and this made Nashwa do the unthinkable. She married Ammar so her mother can finally get freedom and marry Asim. The twist will be revealed in the next episode as Nashwa breaks down in the current episode after Burhan’s beautiful confession. Qarz e Jaan fans are shocked and have a lot to say.
Here is the teaser of the now the much-anticipated episode:
Qarz e Jaan fans think that Bisma’s weakness pushed Nashwa to do this while many are not happy with how a strong and educated lawyer took such a bad decision. Others are loving Usama Khan’s uncoming breakdown and they are crying with him as he is the greenset flag right now in the drama world. Fans are emotional and a bit disappointed as they fear that Nashwa is the new Bisma in Barkat Villa:
Qarz e Jaan is a drama that has grown on the audience due to its strong story and performances. The twists and turns and all the characters with layered shades made this show a must-watch for the audience. Things have finally reached their pinnacle as Bisma and Asim’s marriage took place. But the cost has come up to be heavy for both Burhan and Nashwa.
Qarz e Jaan biggest plot twist has come with Nashwa’s marriage to Ammar. This secret Nikkah which took place so Nashwa could get her mother’s happiness is unbelievable to some people. Though the performances are very strong, this plot point is not easily digestable for people. Nashwa was a very strong character who stood up against her whole family multiple times. She has now turned meek in order to get her mother married to a man who would have supported them regardless.
The viewers are now divided into two camps. Some think that Nashwa will turn out stronger and she will continue on her path while others are extremely disappointed. One netizen wrote that Nashwa has become another Bisma whcih they did not sign up for. Others think that showing such a strong character show such a weakness is absurd:
Qarz e Jaan is right now one of the most intriguing and successful dramas on Pakistani television. With a strong star cast and a story which is going through many twists and turns, the show has finally taken the plunge that will change the whole plot. The drama has a mature love story with Faisal Rehman and Tazeen Hussain winning hearts as Asim and Bisma.
After a lot of push back, Asim finally got married to the love of his life Bisma. His son Burhan is a big supporter of both while Bisma’s daughter Nashwa was finally able to free her mother from patriarchal shackles. Qarz e Jaan showed a beautiful wedding for the couple while all the characters are now going through the aftermath. Nashwa is sad as she is alone now while Burhan low key confessed his feelings for her. Bakhtiyar is planning more sinister plans while Ammar is stuck with his father’s schemes.
The Qarz e Jaan audience loved how Ammar’s mother wished Bisma and the couple finally got together. Burhan’s beautiful confession and worry for Nashwa after her mother’s marriage is another highlight for the fans. People want to see Nashwa and Burhan together but fear that this might not happen:
Qarz e Jaan is a drama that has hooked the audience with its strong story and performances that hit a nerve. The drama is moving towards its big twist as Nashwa is being pushed to marry Ammar. Both Yumna Zaidi and Nameer Khan are doing a brilliant job but the winner this time is none other than Tazeen Hussain. Her character Bisma has ben the main force holding the two households and she shaowed her mettle this time.
Daadi has finally played her card in Qarz e Jaan and she is talking about getting Nashwa and Ammar married. Bisma went into shock on hearing this and Tazeen Hussan’s portrayal of a panic attack was so realistic that everyone will be able to relate to it. She is now going to be a mother who will try to protect her daughter and not just a woman who stays in the background.
The viewers were shocked by Tazeen Hussain’s strong performance in Qarz e Jaan last night. She portrayed the true emotions of a woman who has seen oppression and wants to save her daughter from that. Her scene with Yumna Zaidi is gaining a lot of attention and she is getting all the praise for showing Bisma’s true feelings. This is what the fans have to say:
Qarz e Jaan is a drama that provides quality content. Yumna Zaidi and Usama Khan are leading the show but all the supporting actors are also doing their job well. The tracks are all converging now and we know how everyone in this family is connected. Yumna has nailed herself as Nashwa once again and showed the world why she gets all the praise from the audience and critics.
Burhan wanted to help his father to marry Bisma and he discussed it with Faryal. Nashwa did not like it and she gave him a piece of her mind. Yumna Zaidi is doing a great job and fans love how she is so natural in the character she looks like a simple and strong girl who is not just focused on her looks.

The parents of social media star Qandeel Baloch who was murdered by her brothers on Wednesday submitted an affidavit in a Multan court, saying they have forgiven the killers and the case against their sons should be taken out of the custody.
Baloch’s brother Waseem had strangled her to death in the name of “honour” at their house in 2016. He later confessed to have killed her because she “brought dishonour to the Baloch name” with her In decent videos and statements posted on social media. Her brother Aslam Shaheen was also nominated in the case.
In the affidavit, submitted in a model court in Multan, Baloch’s parents stated that they have forgiven her alleged murderers and asked the court to acquit them.
The affidavit said that the Anti-Honour Killing Laws (Criminal Amendment Bill) 2015 — which prevents killers from walking free after being pardoned by the victim’s family — was passed months after Baloch was murdered and, therefore, cannot be applied to her case.
The time when the bill was passed, the parents vowed not to pardon their son but it seems that with the passage of time they developed soft corner for the son which is sad of the society, we protect killers and murderers. Well let’s see what will happen next as state would take action of the matter will be brushed under carpet.
